Avoid Mosh or Josh!! This store in Oxnard has some of the rudest employees. I usually drive to Camarillo from Oxnard because the service is much better but I had to get the before it closed last night and my husband asked this guy if he could help him with a toilet and the guy replied in a rude tone "what about it". How about "sure, how can I help". That would have been nice. Then this guy tries to get us to buy the more expensive option so he would t have to get the one I requested from the top. When he came back to get the requested item he says again in a very rude tone "get out of the isle please" yes he said please but his tine was rude and he very easily could have said "Im gonna need you to wait outside the isle for safety reasons" thats would have been better. This is for their truck rental service. Needed a truck last minute to move some furniture. Their online system is wonky and called the store/staff manning the counter. Got a reservation but due to circumstance beyond their control- person didn't return box van at or near the designated time. Both Steven- who took initial reservation and Anthony- who helped when truck wasn't returned- did everything in their power to help me out. Ended up renting their van - which worked better and cost less! Wonderful customer service. I so thankful for ability to deal with people versus online booking. read more

Bought a gun cabinet from these idiots. First 1 missing a shelf. The second lost in transit then returned. The 3rd damaged so bad the box was really torn up and the safe dented and had a crack I could put my finger through. Tried returning it, they gave us the serious run around on the first cabinet, then the second. When we returned the 3rd totally damaged cabinet, flamboyant boy told us no and ran some drag that he can't give us cash back when we originally paid with a card. But purple hair girl, I call her that because I didn't get her name, she jumped in and saved the day and Flamboyant boy's ass. Even telling him that he was the worst customer service representative ever. Totally 100% on point. And to boot there was someone who just stole from the store out side the entrance smoking METH. Today I went to the location on the Oxnard location I went to the gardening location and the aisle where the lawn fertilizer was closed off a young Asian worker was completely rude and unprofessional I told him I was looking for a fertilizer spreader for the lawn and he first told me that I was blocking the aisle and he told me the location it turned out to be on the wrong aisle and when I came back and told me that it wasn't there he told me that I had to wait 20 minutes until the aisle would open up again. When he asked me again what I was looking for again I was going for again I was going to show my phone what I wanted he got into a power trip and yells at me I needed to stop blocking the aisle I was annoyed by his unprofessionalism and his rude approach to the customers it not the first time that I have been badly treated by your employees and it making reconsider not returning to this store again read more

Went here to buy a makita cordless ratchet and impact wrench. They had 6 in stock of one item at the time. I asked two kids (younger employees) to help me one large one skinny they kept looking up at the racks as if it was too hard. They said they didn't have stock but they did. Just too lazy to get it for me. I'm going to Camarillo and buying it because the lazy kids that work here don't care. I hope management cares because you lost another customer. Camarillo is better and kids don't want to work at Oxnard. They did get me the impact wrench that was right in front of them so 50% complete. Waste of my time. read more

Horrendous. Some woman pretended to be a manager and argued with me about a return, repeatedly telling me it was impossible and just generally being an unpleasant person. I found a real manager and was able to get my issue resolved. I called corporate and reported the employee (which is how I found out she wasn't an actual manager). Came here today with a strict shopping list, but while in the garden checkout line I spotted a fire pit sitting in its lonesome behind the register. I asked for help to see how much it would cost, since I was definitely in the market to buy one. ROSS, our awesome team member- helped us do EXTENSIVE research to find the price on the fire pit since there wasnt a price tag already on it. He spent over 30mins helping us and at the end of the day came through while at the same time hooking us up with a sale priced item. Customer service an workers like ROSS, are reasons why we are returning customers to the Home Depot. I should have driven 6 more miles to go to Lowes. Asked for service from the front desk, the guy said "What, Do you need". I said "excuse me", he said "do you need something", i said "yes, service!"....... no one ever showed up in isle. I finally after searching the store for help, found a lady working but said that she would send Jim because that is not her department. I waited 16 minutes for "JIM" to show up, Jim looked around for the item, but after 8 minutes of him looking up on the top shelf said "oh, i guess we don't have the item!". Didn't offer to check another HD, didn't offer to order online and have it shipped and didn't say "we should have the item in stock on xxxx date". Where has customer service went? This is the home improvement store that I go to for most all my home improvement equipment needs. Their prices are fair and the selection is huge. I don't even do much home improvement but any time I need industrial double stick tape or something like spray glue, I come here. The prices rival online prices surprisingly. I've also returned a couple of things at this store and that process was rather easy to get through also. From the very beginning i had a horrible experince. I had slim picking for my choices due to the size of my front door. With that being said, i had to talk to a designer and it took weeks to even get someone to call me back. After mutliple calls and multiple emails. Now i cant say much on the door itself because i paid to get it delivered and it was completely dented and impossible to install. I had to send it back even though i had my contractor scheduled to come 2 days later to install. I called home depot and they have the audacity to tell me it would take ANOTHER 2 weeks. I will now be charged from my contractor for canceling on such short notice and they have offered nothing to compensate for my money lost or time wasted. This location Home Depot is great for carpet or flooring installation. I especially would like to mention the flooring specialist Teresa Salcedo. I ordered carpet for a client of mine and she was absolutely wonderful! She went above and beyond to help me pick out the carpet and scheduled the installation in the middle of a pandemic! I can't say enough good things about her. The installers were also incredible! If you need any type of flooring or carpet installed go to teresa she works evenings. read more

Horrible!!! I bought a washing machine and had it delivered. It didn't work. They couldn't bring me a new one for a week. I had to drive to a different Home Depot and buy ANOTHER washer (now I'm out the cost of 2 washers). They can't seem to locate the washer now 5 days later and won't refund me until they can scan the washer I refused. I know for sure where the washer ISN'T!! My house working as promised!! Update. The customer service women called and said "I confused her by saying they took the washer back, and didn't specify to the warehouse".so now it's my fault. WTF? Then she told me I have to drive to the Oxnard location to get my refund because I used my debit card. (I live an hour and 45 min away!) not once was I apologized to during this sh!t show. My visit today was beyond miserable. I first had to do a return. I told the cashier that I couldn't find my receipt and she proceeds to tell me that they don't carry the item. I told her it is listed on their website. She insists they don't carry it and hands it back to me. I tell her again it is on the website. She only reluctantly checks the website because I'm still standing there. She see's the item then tells me she can only give me credit which is fine. I then went to do some shopping and there were several people working the floor. Good luck trying to get some assistance. Employees group together in pairs and visit with each other moving quickly to avoid helping you. I had to follow them to try and get their attention, and stand there while they finished their personal conversation. Then they try an avoid eye contact with you so they can walk away. I spoke up and said I had a question. The employee acted like I was a bother and could have cared less about helping me. Approaching the self checkout was just as bad. The woman there said none of the machines were accepting cash. I decided to go ahead as I had a credit card. I approach one of the registers and an employee that was in charge of monitoring the registers was standing about 6 ft. behind me. The screen was black but all other lights were on around the register. I touched the screen a couple of times and nothing happened. I turned around to the employee and asked how to work it and she replies "It's not working." I think to myself really you're standing right behind me and didn't bother telling me? So I continue to wait for another register as they're herding other people that were behind me to the other registers as they were opening. At this point I just want to get the hell out of there. I finally get to another register and finish my transaction. I then go to the outside locker to pick up my online order. Door opens and nothing is inside! Now I have to go back inside and WAIT in line to get some help with the locker. I tell the cashier my item is missing and she asks if I'm sure. I assure her twice that it is EMPTY. She then says that the item must of been too big for the locker assigned. So I wait for about 10 minutes while two employees dig through bins and shelves behind the registers and find my item. I then proceed to leave and can not wait to get out of there. That was one of the WORST cases of poor customer service that I have ever experienced. Home Depot is definitely scraping the bottom of the barrel when hiring their employees. They desperately need an undercover shopper to identify their customer service issues and do some remedial training. I will stick with Lowe's. read more

Last night I bought a refrigerator at Home Depot online and was sure to check the $20 to get it delivered inside my house. I got an email telling me they were going to deliver it in the street. With great difficulty, I called to get it corrected and was told it had been. I got a second email telling me it would be dropped off in the street. I called and got the runaround from the electronic secretary that has never had my option anywhere in my entire life. OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER it put me in touch with someone in some 3rd-world nation whose English was extremely hard to comprehend. I called many of these with no results. They sounded like they were gargling their tongue. The last one, in God-knows-where on the earth told me to call a number: THE ONE I STARTED WITH. That phone number has not been answered in the 50 years I've tried calling it. In fact, I would think someone could get fired for answering. I shared this story with my girlfriend about how the lack of communication is destroying the American dream and she told me it was purely and innocently "CAPITALISM" I cut her to the quick to quickly note that all the laws that companies have to obey were written to protect the consumer. You should know what else happens when you are counted as nothing. I went to the ATM to get a $20 bill in the hope of getting the $20 delivery of the refrigerator into my home and not into the street. It has to go up a flight of stairs, and I have no help. I looked out the window and saw the truck. They failed to call 30 minutes ahead of time as was redundantly mentioned on their website. I told him how it was impossible to reach the company all day long and that I actually want and had selected "threshold" delivery. He said they don't go upstairs. . .. . . . ... . . . . I told him we wanted a refund----all shouting down from my window to where he was near his truck. I finally convinced him no deal and he left. Next, when I looked online to cancel the order and ask for a refund IT SAID THE REFRIGERATOR HAD BEEN DELIVERED! I called that truck driver as he had called 5 minutes before arrival and not 30 minutes. He said they returned the refrigerator to Home Depot and HUNG UP. Home Depot called me after I canceled the order AND DIDN'T LEAVE A MESSAGE, which leaves me the only option of getting lost someplace in Asia again. I called the number one more time, and got through to a woman who HUNG UP. DON'T EVER BUY ANYTHING ONLINE FROM HOME DEPOT! MY GOD!: DON'T DO IT! read more

We ordered window blinds online and upon pickup at the store the boxes were thrashed. When we got home and opened them we knew these were beyond salvaging. I called the store and a Manager Christina B went into action. By 9am the next morning we had 4 brand new boxes delivered to our home and the damaged ones picked up. The delivery person was extremely courteous and helped us inspect each item before leaving. He had to leave at 4am and drive to Canoga Park to get these to us! This was outstanding!
