At one point, my dryer did something strange and he admitted he was not sure what it was. But he did not give up and figured it out. Our machine is OLD, but he repaired it under an hour, the same day, and saved us hundreds by not needing to by a new one. He also cleaned out the dryer, which was no small task. My 10 year old frontload washer began making a horrific sound when I used it....The next day i went online and looked up appliance repairs in Ventura...read several reviews on Yelp about various companies...I chose VCAR because of the excellent reviews and he was local. I called him, he came that afternoon...took my washer apart, looked at everything, explained to me the problem, he tried to fix it first but alas the pump was dead. He ordered the part that day, and was back Wednesday and my washer is like new. He was on time, clean, courteous, honest, fair prices and advised me not to buy a new washer as I happen to have a good washer even tho it was 10 years old...(I for sure thought I was going to have to go out and buy a new one)...I have already told several friends about VCAR/Oren. Our 6-plus year old refrigerator stopped working and we were referred to Oren by another appliance repair service, as they could not schedule a service call for more than a week. Oren responded immediately and was able to fit us in his schedule that same afternoon. After his preliminary diagnosis, the compressor had stopped working, he stated that he would check with GE and see if there were any other possible issues that would give the same symptoms. Oren called us the following morning, said that it could also be a bad power inverter and that this would be quite a bit less expensive to replace. He even offered to return the power inverter, if that did not fix the problem...which it did. Oren is courteous, professional, knowledgeable and fair, he will be our first call the next time we need something else repaired! read more

I had fired Greg from Michael's come to fix my freezer today, he had come earlier in the week but needed to order a part and so returned this afternoon. Gred not only was professional but did a first rate job, was knowledgable, smart and able to correct a problem with my ice dispenser as well.
