Yeah....not worth the headaches to have an "as is...no refunds" policy on stuff that might be working. They buy this stuff by the pallet, pound or truckload and pay or bid pennies on the dollar; mark it up just below discount price of Costco, and the stuff is damaged, dirty floor models or returns with dings or who knows what was wrong with it. Small, inanimate items might be ok. Just go to Costco (watch for their many sales) and take advantage of their liberal return policy. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Don't let your kids roam around and get lost under stacked up furniture, 25 ft. high shelving in the warehouse. One false move could get them hurt. read more

When they were in their previous location, my husband purchased a outdoor patio fire pit with 4 rocking club chairs, then 2 matching wicker with pad lounge chairs, in their new location we have purchased numerous sheds, a patio table which seats 8 people came with 8 chairs and an umbrella, recently purchased 4 hose reels, we have purchased so many things I can't remember it all, and a couple of times we paid for delivery. Eclectic shopping experience at their new location. Needed a new fridge Pronto, and they had plenty in stock at a reasonable price. They offered delivery, but if you have a pickup truck, they will help you load it. In the meantime, I perused their lawn furniture, fountains, and small appliances while paperwork was prepared. I bought a water boiler on a previous visit at a third of department store prices, since everything is either a return or is slightly damaged. So far, we haven't discovered any flaws on the fridge or the water boiler. read more

Random unpriced Costco returns or auctions purchases. Went in for an umbrella, out of box with tags so I looked it up online - Costco sales for $99. I ask the guy how much, he proceeds to tell me "it was $145 but I will give it to you for $125", I'm like you know it is $99 at Costco, he looks at my phone confirms the product information and was like, "OK, how is $85", no thank you I'll but it new at Costco. Went to MARS as I wanted to see what they had compared to Bulldog Liquidators. My wife found a rug she wanted but it had no price. Ask the front desk and they said they would get someone to help. So we looked around a little more and most of the products they sell are dilapidated, old and something you would see at a garage sale. Would not recommended wasting your time there. You have to hunt the 2 owners down to get pricing, wouldn't it be easier to mark the prices ? It seems they like to come up with a price based on each customer. Also, the store is a mess, it's overwhelming being in there. Lastly, their prices are way too high for the condition you get the product in (usually open box, and sometimes heavily used). I put up a bad review based on a dishwasher that I bought and thought didn't work. I was wrong I did work just fine. I can't remimber the guys name but he told me he puts his initials on anything he sends out stating that it works. Is initials are BM. He was really nice and did not make me feel stupid for being so wrong. I have other issues with the place but I felt really stupid for such a bad review when I was the one who was in the wrong. I cannot recommend Mars enough. Please be open upon visiting, as it can be a bit overwhelming with so much stock. Be thorough in reviewing an item as they sell mostly returned, salvaged and back stock items. If you're thrilled by the hunt, then this is your place! Art has been so helpful for me and my family for years, and he's truly been a pleasure to work with. Mars agreed to sell me an air conditioning unit. I got in my car and drove over to pick it up. When I got there, all the doors were locked. I knocked. No one answered. It was 2pm on a Wednesday which is during the normal business hours, and they knew I was coming. I went back to my car confused. I pulled up the listing for the AC unit and noticed it had been sold to someone else in the time it took me to drive to the Mars location. They didn't even attempt to tell me they sold it to someone else even though they knew I was on my way to pick it up. read more
