    Eclectic shopping experience at their new location. Needed a new fridge Pronto, and they had plenty in stock at a reasonable price. They offered delivery, but if you have a pickup truck, they will help you load it. In the meantime, I perused their lawn furniture, fountains, and small appliances while paperwork was prepared. I bought a water boiler on a previous visit at a third of department store prices, since everything is either a return or is slightly damaged. So far, we haven't discovered any flaws on the fridge or the water boiler.

I live at the beach, and my Miele dishwasher that's about 5 years old hasn't had any issues whatsoever, except, from being at the beach, and a second home (not used everyday) over time a couple of the racks have deterriorated with some rusting issues. I ordered two new racks online from Miele before Christmas- they were pretty pricy. But they arrived in what I would call 'funky' condition, there were a couple of loose pieces that both myself, and my super handy husband could NOT figure out. I was sure Miele had sent us defective racks... but before I called them, I decided to take them into WDC hoping that someone there would tell me what was going on. I showed up at WDC on a slow weekday afternoon, because I knew this might take some time, and both Martez Houffen (Sales/Order Fulfillment) and Robert MacDowell (Store Manager/Sales) were a little perplexed with the racks well. At first. But, with EXCELLENT customer service, they took the time to see that the racks were assembled perfectly. Problem solved. WDC is my go to for all of my applicance needs! Again, today, a delivery was made around the corner from us. After delivering the appliance this driver moved his truck onto our street and sat there idling his diesel truck for over 15 minutes. We have people at this address with two forms of cancer and other health issues. Their diesel truck fumes engulfed our entire house even with the windows closed. We called and talked with the manager of the store. This manager stated that their truck was unable to move without idling for 20 minutes per California rules, which is an obvious lie because he moved over 30 feet then stopped out front of our house. There was no apology offered by this manager. What we find typical of Ventura businesses these days is they do not care anything the community they serve. There is no empathy, no caring about people these days. This is what we found from our local Reids some years ago and their attitude has degenerated to being a store we will never purchase items from, ever. Back then, they never serviced our appliances properly, heaven knows what they do these days. We shop at Lowe's-Ventura these days because they back their appliances with knowledgeable service warranties and customer service.

I had a wine cooler - and he charged me $79.99 for diagnosing the problem - which was the the thermostat. b) He told me that it would be an additional $350, for him to order the part and install it - but I told him that I could order the part myself (BTW - for $150). At which point he told me - there would be no warranty and he would install it for $75. c) So we agreed, I would order the part, and he would be back to install it for $75. While leaving I told him I had a dryer that also needed looking at - and he said since he is coming back he would look at it for NO CHARGE. d) 2 weeks later, I got the part, and I texted Jon. After re-introducing myself, he told me that it would now cost $150 to install it. After some back and forth, he agreed to $120 - and he also agreed that he would look at the dryer. e) He came today - installed the thermostat in the wine cooler - spent 15 mins on the dryer - and wanted $150. When I told him about the $120 - he had the gall to tell me that next time I could use somebody else. I definitely will use someone else. What a bad experience - NEVER AGAIN

It's really nice knowing that you can get either the Best Buy discount and/or Pacific Sales discount. Plus, you can't beat their 10 year service plans. Compared to Best Buy, there's no question which one logical people would choose. I had issues with delivery out to Temecula, but Jonny was there each step of the way to get everything to work out. I bought a Frigidaire all-fridge and LG steam washer & dryer. The fridge was the easy one. But with the small space in my home's laundry closet, had multiple issues installing the LG. After two plumbers and alterations to the gas line and the water lines, the LG is ready and running. If you want personalized care even when you least expect it, then ask for Jonny (manager). Otherwise, I'm pretty sure the delivery division would've talked me out of LG steam and into a different model. Just remember, appliances go in your home. And if you're a true homeowner, then you want it to last throughout the years. Get what you want!

They offer a 30 day warranty on their appliances but how they handled my situation, absolutely sure that warranty isnt worth anything. So....i go and look at dryers....they were helpful and informative on the devices.....let me inspect them quite close. Answered questions....we chose one and determined the prices after taxes and what it would cost to purchase a vent sleeve and gas hoses too. Dryer is 185+tax. Vent and gas lines, 15 a piece. Final prices is 230. I asked if they provided military discount. She said no, and laughed. I tell her we are going to look at other places, and we would come back. We ended up coming back as their prices were the best we had seen. As we walked up we saw her put a different tag on the dryer.....a 20 dollar increase on the base price which raises the tax too. Not a big margin , big still. I asked if she changed the price because we left...she said they change their prices every week and also differ between morning and evening due to different clientele. I then asked if thats how she wanted to play that.....if she was seriously not going to give us the dryer for 185. she said thats how the business is. So i tell you, even if their standard practice was to raise and lower prices, due to time of day, it wouldn't be good as a business. This wasnt a high end dryer. It was a kenmore so old that it was ridiculous i was buying it in the first place. We left. They lost business. Oh well.

She didn't have the part but strongly recommended Monty Electronics in Camarillo. 805- 383-7796 to have relay boards rebuilt. She also highly recommend, Ernie from Mobile Tech 805-815-9197. Our usual Appliance Repair person, Dimitri - who we love, recommended I consult with somebody who had experience with doing this job on older ovens. He was very honest and said he hadn't done this kind of job on older ovens before. REALLY appreciated that while he was willing to do job, recommendation that we call older people Appliance Repair person with experience on these ovens!! That's Integrity!! Called Monty first. He was very delighted to hear of Sandy's referral and strong recommendation, he said he wasn't familiar with her store. BUT he was very familiar with Ernie and he also gave him a strong recommendation. He said Ernie brings him boards all the time. Next up, Ernie. Another Gem with a wealth of knowledge on older ovens. Ernie said relay was probably only part of problem. If we wanted to keep oven - good idea to also replace heating coils and temperature sensor probes in ovens. Coils fool people they're ok, but crystals inside can be breaking down, even though coil still red.
