Save your time and money and shop somewhere else I would recommend Lowe's over Home Depot any day of the week after today. They don't even honor their prices they have on their app even when you scan the item with your app they will not honor the price. Lowes does wasted gas and money driving down there and told me to order it online. And wouldn't price match what their own app has for a price and I already have two in my basket now I had to waste money on shipping. Where do I start. We went to Home Depot to purchase an exterior door for our older home. We weren't going to spend to much at first, but fell in love with a hire price door. Set up all the appointments, estimate for delivery and installation. The day came to have it delivered and installed. The man who was installing asked us to view the door before he started. It supposed to be a new door,he indicated, he pulled it out of the box, it was very dirty and a big chip on the door, very noticeable. We told him to take it back and we would do with Home Depot. Home Depot indicated they would get another door and reset up our delivery appointment 2 weeks later the gentleman came back to install the door, again the door was taken out of the box and once again the second door had scrapes all around the edges of the,paint scraped off. THE Installer said he believes they took the store`s display door off the rack and gave that one to us. Home Depot did not even have the courtesy to order us a new door. So then my spouse was very upset talk to the warehouse manager and informed her of all these errors, she gave us a credit and indicated that we would get another door, they had four of them in stock and we would have our door installed ,but in another 2 weeks. Just last Friday we got a call from the installer saying the door that they had given him was 1st door that had the chip in it and that they had no other doors in stock. You would think ,third time the charm ,not at Home Depot. The manager had not clearly indicated what needed to be done and then took off for vacation no one knew what was going on and no notes in our account. Not one employee or manager on duty stepped up to resolve. The commercials Home Depot puts out DO NOT reflect how their warehouse employees really are. "It's not my job, I don't know who did that, there are no Notes, I don't know when their coming back etc,etc. STEP UP HOME DEPOT! Still with my old door, going somewhere else now. read more

The other night I was in a hurry and forgot my receipt for an light I purchased from Home Depot. It was one that required an electrical contractor to install. Not what I wanted. I arrived several minutes before closing. I walked up to the counter and asked to return this light. Annette , very unfriendly person asked where is your receipt with no greeting at all. Her partner in crime seemed to be in charge . She was older with very short hair and personality of a Pitt bull! They preceded to lecture me on not having a receipt and coming in at closing time. I said , boy I won't ever forget my receipt again and the Pitt bull said and don't come at closing time. Most of the employees there a good and friendly, Sometimes taking an extra minute to help a customer goes a long way. Maybe Annette should smile and greet the Customer before each lecture. As for the Pitt bull , I think your letting your position go to your head . Remember , customer service is the key to successfully servicing a customer. Not Attitude!! read more

I great place to waste time and look at stuff you'll never do yourself, so you call a repair guy. 15 different paint removers 30 different sizes, each with a different price. I recently purchased purchased some flooring after opening a box I realized this was the wrong flooring I returned the product back to its original store on case blvd in Perris Ca. and was denied the opportunity to return the product. I showed them the original receipt and I only wanted store credit so I can purchase the correct flooring material, again I did not want cash just store credit AGAIN!! I was denied after showing my ID and the receipt for product I was told by the manager that I would have to keep that flooring because of an TRE report! I am confused I thought as long as you have the receipt you can return the items especially if I'm going to spend the store credit purchasing items within Home Depot! I cant say how disappointing I am with HomeDepot!!! I spend lots of money with Home Depot every weekend on projects and repairs for my various properties! Ordered micro promised to deliver and installed on Thursday delivery never arrived but advised me they could not deliver. Tried calling-mail box full--had to drive over to cancel my order refunded installation...will call me...nothing!!! Microwave delivered on Monday with one doorbell ring. Tried calling again--mailbox still full--another drive over--told of delima--I'm promised a call--no call from Monday to Thursday--son arrives from Michigan on vacation and helps me return micro to store (Perris Calif) got refund minus delivery (I wasn't supposed to be charged for delivery in first place). No one had ever called me to pick up micro or refund me( I'm 84 and terminal). The refunded sales person wasn't supposed to do so and now is in fear of loosing her job read more

Valerie has AWESOME customer service ! Ordered a air conditioner online on one of those hot days last week. It said one was left in stock, but by the time the e-mail came thru it was already sold. Valerie called me on the phone a couple minutes after the e-mail came, and said my order was in but they would need a couple of hours to go pick one up and get it to the store. After a little while Valerie called back to tell me I would have to be upgraded to another unit - same brand, same BTU's, just a better model. The cost was over a $100.00 dollars more but Valerie made sure I got it for same cost of the other ! Very, VERY HAPPY ! You get a 10+ VALERIE :) read more

I would like to say most time I go into this Home Depot in Perris, Ca I never can get someone that cared enough to give me that good customer service. I was looking to purchase three large items in the appliance Department and had the pleasure of meeting salesman David Santana, I must say his customer services was excellence, his pleasant attitude and willingness to present items I was in search of and how he explained the quality of each item was very impressive to me, if I did not understand he had no problem explaining again and continued to keep a good attitude while dealing with me as a customer. Now that David Santana know my face when I come into the store, he always come to me and ask me did I need help with anything, he stick with me and make sure I locate whatever I am in need of in a timely manner so I can be on my way. I give this employee an excellent factor in customer Service, he is an asset to Home Depot. read more

It's hard to find help here. The back garden area is always a mess. When my husband shows his Veteran ID on his driver's license, they always want him to join online. I started signing him up online, but they illegally ask for his DD214. I keep telling them that IT IS ILLEGAL to ask for military records! They do no care. We were helped by Enrique not once, but twice in 2 days in search of a bathroom vanity. Both times Enrique was extremely helpful as we wanted a vanity that was on a high shelf requiring the aisle to be closed and a man lift to lower the product for us. He was very kind and patient, as it turned out that the 1st vanity was the wrong size and when returning it the next day and deciding on a different one, only to realize that one wouldn't fit our space either. We were very impressed with his customer service and would recommend this Home Depot to all our friends and family!! read more

The Hubbs & I went to Home Depot for a specific washer we saw online. As soon as we walked into the dept Jenny greeted us with a smile and asked if we needed assistance with anything. Told her what we were looking for.. she brought us right to it and gave us the ins n outs, details and all. Went through the whole setting up for delivery.. she offered application for store's card..we declined.. but she didn't harp on us for saying no! Which is greatly greatly appreciated. Jenny was SUPER friendly and thorough. She checked and doubled checked she had correct address and phone numbers. She explained the whole Night Before Delivery phone call.. the Day Of call and what to do and expect on delivery day. Needless to say, great experience! Quick and painless When it came time to final step of paying we had to go up to front of store because we were paying cash. Apparently, Saturdays are the day to go to Home Depot because it was crazy packed! But, the cashiers/customer service people brought those lines down very quickly. Our cashier was Devra and I think she just happened to come up for back up?! Or, was just walking by and decided to help. Which was great either way. Very nice. Great smile. Very irritated. I ordered a shower alcove over a week ago with a delivery date of May 10. I got a confirmation that the shower was in transit. I took the day off from work. No shower. Took off May 11. No shower. I called for an update and all the person could tell me was what I could see on the shipping email I already had. Took off May 12. I look online and all I see is the word short for a shipping detail. After nearly an hour on the phone I am told the box was open. they could not verify parts, so they aren't delivering it. I received no phone call and no information. So, the bathroom cannot be built this weekend as planned and I took time off for no reason. For my inconvenience they offered 15% off. I got them to a whole 20%. The representative on the phone was awesome, but the company, not so much. Definitely feel I should not be paying shipping cost at all or should have gotten a bigger discount. Lowes, here I come. read more

There's a very good reason why Home Depot's ratings are so low. Save time and shop at Lowe's instead. Last week I ordered online replacement slats for all my vertical blinds in the front of the house, which included two picture windows and a sliding glass door. The two windows required 7 packs (9 to a pack) of 60" slats at $12.17/pk. item, while the doorwall required 3 packs (9 to a pack) of 79.5" slats at $9.85/pk. These were custom sizes that reflected in my printed paperwork. DELIVERY: Only one short box was delivered about 5 days later. It was too heavy for me to lift into the house. In it was 10 packs of 84" vertical blind slats FOLDED IN HALF! I took them all out of the box and tried to relax the folds so they would hang properly. I then realized they were not cut. After 3 calls to correct the order, and being told that: 1) I have to return them back to the store. 2) The store wouldn't be able to cut them for me because it was on online purchase (? ?) and 3) Throwing me on hold many times to get another agent who can help me, but wouldn't help me except with the same lame ol' pass the buck excuses, I finally hung up in disgust and purged on to cut them myself, as I needed them up without further time wasted. BUT THEN.....Within the hour Home Depot rang me back with a REP who was kind enough to have looked further into the matter. That's when I told him that all the packages were identical but for some reason I paid $9.85 for 3, and the other 7 were $12.17 ea. and none were trimmed to my specifications. The agent adjusted the price on all 10 packs to $9.85 and gave me an additional 30% off. WOW No explanation as to why the online prices were different for the same. So I cut them to size and hung them yesterday. I don't know how long I'll have to wait for the goofy looking folds to relax. Who folds vertical blinds for shipping???? ‍ (If you've been in this store you will find there is no help. I spent 2 hours in Garden a month ago waiting for an associate to get 2 garden planters that were in stock, but nowhere to be found. The Cashier called for a manager several times. I actually found them myself in the opposite corner of the garden section hidden behind the vegetables and herbs.) So in conclusion, Home Depot might have tried to do the right thing in the end, however it shouldn't have taken so long, with 3 incompetents who refused to help me in the first place and made it seem like my fault for shopping with them....which it probably was! I picked up a fan, went to get some additional items that couldn't be easily found, I asked the same associate twice for help finding the same time and she was unwilling to walk me to the product. She remained stationary as she watched me look and not find what I needed. I went to the next dept to look for refrigerator filter, no help. I headed to the exit after abandoning my basket. The clerk asked how I was paying. I had empty hands. I told him I couldn't find help. He said sorry and wished me a good day. No offer of help. I then asked another person for the manager's name. Have lived near this Home Depot for last 15 years we do all our home needs shopping hear. However for the first time in years I had the worst experience. My husband was having trouble loading some lumber into our rollaway cart and an associate walked right by him almost tripped over it the lumber and didn't even stop to help he just waited for my husband to get out of the way. I spoke to the manager and I hope they address the issue because customer service goes a long way now a days. read more

We like to support our local merchants. Therefore we bought all of our major appliances at the local Perris California Home Depot. A washer dryer refrigerator dishwasher. Since installing a new dishwasher requires us to remove ceramic floor tiles, we bought a higher priced model than we normaly would buy thinking we were buying quality that would last longer. We even bought the extended warranty offered by Home Depot. However after two and a half years the Maytag Dishwasher quit. Just like it had no power to it. We were told the controller had burned out. The warranty repair was denied due to improper installation using the wrong cord. I must first say that the appliance salesman did NOT say we needed to buy a specific cord. If he had, we would have bought one! The contractor installed the dishwasher with a heavy duty cord and it worked for two-and-a-half years with it. We even had an electrician come in last week and look at the cord and he said it is perfectly fine for an appliance. We called Home Depot hoping they would stand behind their product. They said it's all up to the warranty people and if the product warranty people did not honor it they couldn't do anything for us. We are retired on a Social Security fixed income. We bought a top brand appliance and an extended warranty so that we wouldn't have any unexpected major expenses. We also went with a good company, we thought. We worked for over 50 years for different companies and those companies would have stood behind their product and either repaired or replaced it for their loyal customers. We did try to talk to the Perris manager and he said he couldn't do anything that was under warranty . Later on we got a call from a Home Depot rep. She called to tell us she couldn't do anything to help us . Gee thanks! She didn't even offer to refund us the $80 we paid for the extended warranty that won't pay for repairs. Home Depot has wiped their hands of this and will not help us. We will never shop there again. read more

CHRISTMAS TREE O' CHRISTMAS TREE... ----- Garden Center Review------ Been getting the family Christmas tree from Home Depots all over Southern California for years. They always have a really great selection and prices. Very hard to beat! The asian guy that helped us (didn't see a name tag, i usually call em out by name), was super friendly, and extremely helpful. We asked him to pull some trees out from behind other trees, and cut open various tie strings, and he didn't seem like it was any trouble at all. Wish I caught the name so I could give him props. Great personality! Got a 7+ foot "Noble Fir" tree for around $40. Looks great! Definitely a great place to get a tree. I would recommend, and I would go back. read more

I go to this store about twice per month. Usually the garden dept. They have good prices and a pretty good selection. People in the garden dept usually don't know much about the plants, but they are very pleasant (this keeps me coming back). Last night Dec 21st around 8PM I went into the appliance department. I asked the guy sitting at the computer for help with a range hood..... I know he was busy typing up a quote or something..... I could see he was really disturbed by me.... He was as rude and unfriendly as he could possibly be. He could not get me out fast enough. No other customers in site (maybe five customers in the entire store). He upset me because he was so condescending. I was with my daughter or we might have actually gotten into a fist fight. So instead of telling him what an A-hole he is I am writing this review. ***I know store managers don't look at these reviews because you have so many bad ones****** . Wow so where do I start. First they are unfriendly and don't know just about anything. I once bought a washer from them and the guys who brought it made up bs so they could get out of installing it. Then they kicked it when they didn't think any one was around to get us to let them just bring it back to the store, once we return to the store returning the washer was a pain! 2nd story. Try to get flooring installed, first off they lied about the price and changed it on us with out knowing! When trying to get it worked out no one would help us but the store manager we had to wait for. 3rd. Checked online for a item, call to make sure they had it. Got to the store they couldn't find it. Asked a person to help me and made me look up all the item numbers for her to look up, it's goof off! Once they found out that they had it in store by just checking online like I did, they couldn't find it! It was in the store and I had to go to the Murrieta Home Depot to get it! 4th. They had a ton of used/returned/open crap, like tools. They had a very dirty biscuit jointer in a oil box and no papers. I don't recall the price which took me 20 mins to find out because it had no tag. A manager comes up and looks at it and was like "$80?" For $10 I could a brand new one! Also saw a cordless drill and same thing $10 under brand new and all it was the drill, not even the battery. Whatever you do, unless you need a Diablo saw blade that only Home Depot sells, go to Lowes. P.s. Longest lines on God's green earth. read more

First time I came here after moving to the area I was impressed that every associate I passed greeted me with a hello, good morning, are you finding what you need, ect. I had never before experienced that in other Home Depot's. Gave me a good, welcome feeling. Some staff even excel in what they do, especially one cashier, Sidney (hope I spelled her name right). Smiles & cheery makes your day. I would wait in line longer if necessary just for the good feeling I experience leaving with a smile, making the day a bit better. Since I first came to this store I have noticed other Home Depot stores being friendlier. I would like to think it's because of my surveys on their website that made a difference. Perhaps but maybe just because things have gotten rough with the economy, especially around here. If things do improve I only hope they stay the same. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a home depot. We were waiting for help at the lighting dept and received absolutely no help for about 20 minutes, and this is after two requests to get a sales associate were made over loudspeaker. We then went to get a key made and again.. another 10 minute wait. Not one single sales associate stopped and asked us if we needed help. nobody greeted us or anything, they were all too busy walking away with drinks in their hands. I then asked to speak to a manager, who was very blank and in my opinion, didn't care what I had to say. I told him what had happened and all he said was, "How can I help you?" he made no apologies for the lack of help and just asked how he could help. his excuse for not getting service was that they have no staff which is why they are hiring. Then to top it off, a coupon I received in an email said ALL lights and fans were 40% off, nowhere in the add does it say only online. The manager said it's only an online coupon and it's only on certain lights and fans. What a bunch of crock!!! This home depot is horrible!!!!! We received no customer service, not one staff member was friendly (and that's including the manger) and they are false advertising their sales. Home Depot finally did it. I went in happily stacking potting soil from outside the store. I went inside to pick up some lillies. When I went to go back outside with the stuff I had just gotten outside the cashier would not let me go out to purchase the vegetables. He tells me I am not allowed to take the basket full of stuff I just got outside back outside to load up the cart. I am done. I went there this afternoon to buy an LG washer and dryer combo. I usually come here a lot to buy random tools but today the customer service has been exceptional. Martie, the person working at the cash register, and her supervisor helped me get a discount that I didn't know about. It was the discount for using your Home Depot card the first time. Also, I forgot my card at home and it took awhile to get everything squared away but Martie and the other people who work there were patient with me. Also, because they knew it was going to take a few minutes, I noticed that they helped the customers waiting behind me right away. Usually in that situation at some other store, they just make them wait until the transaction is complete. I hope to continue to get good customer service like this anywhere else I go. The only thing that kind of irked me is that they didn't carry propane conversion kits for gas dryers. read more
