Awesome store , can't recommend it enough! This are the type of place that we need to support and never let go out of business as is such a local gem . I used to live in perris and now that I'm moved an hour away I still come here for my dog food , having 5 pups I decided caniday all life stages would be my best bet in terms of quality and budget, the have it here and not only is it 30dlls cheaper than anywhere else they also have a rewards program for that particular brand , it definitely makes it worth the drive . Came in to grab some seeds for a cover crop spoke to the gentleman at the counter who was very knowledgeable and helpful not to mention kind. All the staff was kind and you can't replace the knowledge the man at the counter had. I will always stop by now when I need seeds. read more

Went in to buy some products and right away was faced with attitude. Customer service is unacceptable and the front clerk was so rude. When the woman in the front went to look for the items i asked for she gave my sister and i so much attitude. So, my husband and I went to Dan's to buy a clipper set that would cut our standard poodles. 3 different sales clerks raved about the Oster 2 speed clipper set and swore that they were the best set for the job so we purchased them. We also bought an extra blade at $45. Went home and they did not work at all. We took them back the next day and they told us they would not take them back because we had used them. How outrageous! How would we know if they worked unless we tried them??? So we are now the proud owners of a $242 paper weight. My family has been shopping at Dan's since we moved to Perris in the 70's. I am very disappointed. Our receipt said refund within 30 days with receipt. I don't understand the problem. read more

I have never been to this place but I feel inclined to leave a review since they decided to park their truck and block my driveway. This is during the lunar festival in downtown Riverside and I assume they were delivering something. But why they needed to park their truck directly in front of my driveway and leave it there I have no idea. Downtown gets very crowded during these festivals and I need to park in my driveway because all of the street parking is taken, but now thanks to this dumb driver, I can't even park in my own driveway. read more

I'm leaving them at 2 stars, but I will say that the loading staff in the back have improved significantly. Some of them are even friendly now! And I don't see the lazy ones as often anymore. The front counter employees are still significantly icy, slow, and lack customer service skills. I still take issue with the lack of a bathroom, but they did allow me to use their secret bathroom once when I was pregnant and desperate. It's not a pretty bathroom, but it gets the job done. Also, the neighborhood is a bit worse than my original review made it out to be. However, I still think a business like this should offer a restroom to customers. And I'll just add that some of the tack they sell is very cheaply made. We bought a bunch of quick release panic snaps and they all failed in some way very quickly. They all either broke, wouldn't close properly, or were DOA (defective in some way). We've had panic snaps last for years and these hardly lasted a month. We also purchased a batch of lead ropes which also failed prematurely - either the snaps broke or failed to close, or the rope itself frayed severely enough to make the rope unsafe to use. We did buy some bungee trailer ties which we found to be of good quality and have lasted quite a while now. Guess it's hit or miss on the tack items. read more

Merchandise wise they have a good selection great sale prices as well. However the staff need to know what customer service is, our kids were reprimanded for using their 'heelys ' in the store but is understandable. Probably the way it was delivered could have been kinder .( Beard Boy) There was a 'nutritionist' lady walking around asked us 'why' we bought these dog food and what exactly our dogs were..nosy.. Specially if it's our pocketbook paying not hers. At check out we asked if we could spilt the bill since it was quite hefty, between two cards which is done repeatedly in other savvier stores we go to for dog food.(Petco and the like) But the cashier did not know how to do it(user error !??) asked Beard boy and he no we don't do that here. Ahhhh that's why they probably stay mom and pop stores in otherwise remote locations. Good luck staying in business read more

customer service is trash, called and asked price on vaccine given price of 6.99 went in 4 days latter to purchase 10 vaccine was being charged 7.99. sales assoc andre told me given wrong price by him on accident spoke with manger robert and jeff and both refused to honor price. i was robbed of my time and gas to go to location and refused to honor price by there mistake. terrible management. i will be purchasing all my feed and seed needs elsewhere. read more

This store has been around for quite some time. The merchandise is reasonably priced and they always have the specialty dog food my dog requires. Have bought baby chicks several times, being of good variety and healthy. The hours of operation are six days a week, which allows us to get in on Saturday, if we can't make it during the week. read more

Dan's Feed and Seed is by far the GREATEST!!! They always have everything I need for my animals and the staff is incredible. The guys in the back always know what to recommend and have as much information possible on all of their product. I always love going to pick up my hay and I always get lucky enough to have shawn help me load it up in my truck. All the guys in back are very helpful and sweet but shawn has always done it right. He knows exactly what I want is always careful around my truck and is the sweetest kid you could meet. Horrible customer service. I was passing by the area and decided to try Dan's Feed and Seed. Stopped by to pick up a bag of dog food and inquire about hay delivery for my ranch...as we are in need of a large (regular) delivery for our herd of cattle as well as our horses. Well apparently they close at 5 on a week day...which ok I arrived there at 445 enough time to run and grab my dog food. As I walked in the door they turned all the lights out throughout the store and (very rudely) said they were closing in 2 minutes. Rushed me out and made me feel really uncomfortable. Forget asking about the hay delivery for my ranch...ill take my business elsewhere!! Dont want to be treated like an inconvenience. I clearly was not going to meander around past 5:00 and make them keep the store open past business hours. I have more class than that. But please during business hours treat me like a customer and not a nuisance. read more

Dans feed and seed is the best. They have everything I need for my animals. I feel like part of the family Everytime I shop there. I've never had any problems, and the guys in the back are especially helpful. Any time I need hay or seed there on it if I need help with my car backing it in to get hay Richie the one with the curly hair helps me. There are very knowledgeable about the brands they sell, and will order things for me if I need them and they don't carry it. I've shopped there since i moved here and they defiantly have made a loyal customer out of me. I defiantly recommend shopping there. There the most affordable and best in town. read more
