Curbside pickup failed. I was there at 9;00 am to pick up my order. I texted the store that I was waiting. Nobody responded. After half an hour, I called them on the phone. They never knew I was there waiting. Later, a female employee came out and said that another employee took her phone, so she never got my text. However, the person who took the phone must have gotten my text, but did nothing. If I had not investigated, I might still be waiting there for my supplies. This incompetence is not acceptable. Their curbside pickup cannot be recommended for this reason, and if I were the Manager, I would fire them. read more

We had an exceptional experience from the time we ordered to the time of installation. We love how well the stairs came out. Sad Home Depot scams people (loyal customers) by allowing water systems, Solar companies and so on, to push their product so they can offer HomeDepot Credit Card (high pressure) saying 0% interest for the first 24 months so you think that by the time 24 months comes your balance would be down and would not be so bad WRONG! They are charging 25.9% retroactive from the beginning. Taking advantage of people on fix income. And now the interest is more than the balance. Typically my husband and I don't have any issues with Home Depot. However yesterday we were not only disappointed but also inconvenienced. We needed our garbage disposal replaced. We made an appointment and received a time window between 10 and 2. My husband took off for the day to make sure that he was available for the technician when he arrived. The problem is the technician never arrived. We received multiple calls from the technician stating that he was running late then around 2 o'clock he calls to ask if we wanted to reschedule because he needed to cancel. As a result we had to find someone to install the garbage disposal at the last minute. We will not be utilizing Home Depot services going forward. We lost an entire day waiting for the technician . This Home Depot is one of the worst we've ever encountered. If possible we will drive past this one to the Murrieta or Lake Elsinore locations. Too many of the staff are rude, I understand that you may have that one person, or that someone is having a bad day, but it is the norm here. I had the worst experience shopping here. After spending two hrs picking up materials with my contractor to remodel my home. The line to check out was extremely long so we spend about 45mins because the cashiers have no idea what the hell they are doing. So, when we finally got to the register, the cashier Linda did not acknowledg that I was speaking to her. That was strike 1, I understand its busy and there's a lot going on. But if I talking to you and you see me but refuse to acknowledge that I have a problem with. My contractor had got some baseboards and he was tell her how many we had and the length. She just looked at him not comprehending what he was saying. Like it was rocket science or something. I told her if you dont know how to charge it, ask someone to help you. So she called another lady Ana over to help and clearly she didn't know what she was doing either. That was strike 2. Then my contractor went to go get a manager Gus to help out. At this point it had been a half hour trying to check out. Gus looked at what we had he measured them and my contractor told them how many and the length as well. Gus told Linda exactly how to charge us. She still didn't know he was talking about because she was asking Ana. At this point we were all heated because clearly she doesn't know what the hell she is doing. That was strike 3 and I was done. The whole time I never raised my voice, I simply was just asking her questions. Not once did she acknowledge me and that made we feel some type of way. I had to go talk to a store manager about what we had just experienced. I should always be recieving good customer especially spending over 800 dollars there. Have you ever walked into a Home Depot and wondered where all of the employees are? Are they all in the lunchroom? If so, why don't we occasionally see them on their way into the lunchroom? Here's my theory: all Home Depots are built with underground tunnels and secret passages leading from each department to the lunchroom and only the employees know about them. That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it. Here are some facts: I have a good friend who is a long-time employee at Home Depot (not this one) and he explained the problem: too many chiefs, not enough Indians. Each department has about 2 or 3 sale's associates; they're the helpful ones... if you can find them. Each department also has an assistant dept. head, a dept. head and a dept. manager. As a rule, they're not only hard to find and unhelpful, but they keep the sale's associates too busy to be of any use to the customers. Sale's associates are instructed to never point. When a customer asks an associate assigned to the garden where the screws are located, the associate must accompany the customer to the hardware department and make sure the customer finds the correct screws. If there is only one associate in the garden at the time, then the garden is without customer assistance until the associate returns. Having explained that, I must say that this Home Depot is (or was) just a little bit better than most... but not by much. On my most recent visit I had just two items to purchase: a 15" tool box saw and a can of WD-40. I also did some reconnaissance for some gardening items, one of which were certain components for a drip irrigation system I have planned. I entered the store through the garden section after browsing the plants that were just outside the entrance. Upon entering, the lady at the cash register had one customer in line and was busy chatting with her, so I was never greeted when I entered. After browsing the aisles of plants I continued through the rest of the aisles in the garden section searching for the drip systems... without success. As I passed by the cashier again, she was still busy chatting with what I had at first assumed was a customer, now I'm thinking it must have been a personal acquaintance paying a visit. Again she didn't acknowledge me. TIP: While browsing the plants I noticed a sign that said something to the effect: "All plants are guaranteed. If your plant dies within a year just return it along with the receipt for your money back." After walking the aisle with the hosing (which is where I expected to find the drip systems) again, I gave up and headed inside. Just as I was entering an employee approached. He looked like he was on some kind of important mission, but I stopped him anyway and asked where the drip systems are. He took me down the aisle with the hoses... once again, then said they must have moved them. He pointed (so I could safely assume he was a dept. head or an assistant dept. head) and told me to look on aisle 29 on the other side of the store, then he continued about on his mission. The drip system components were located where the employee-on-a-mission told me they would be... aisle 29, in plumbing. I located the saws and started looking for the WD-40. Wasn't in the paint aisles and it wasn't in hardware. Every associate I encountered on the floor (could have counted them on one hand) was already busy with other customers, so I went up to the service counter and approached the two young ladies there who were busy chatting among themselves. Once they were done chatting (for the time being) I asked them where I could find the WD-40. They directed me to the end cap of aisle 14. Close. I found it on the end cap of aisle 13, but just before I did, I was approached by a lady (not dressed in an orange apron so I assumed she's not an employee) with a laptop. Without asking me if I was willing to take a survey, she began asking me questions about the water in my home, how many people lived there, do we use a filtration system, etc. Then, without even explaining what she needed the information for she asked for my name and phone number. I said bluntly, "NO". Her only reply was "Okay" and then she walked away and approached another random customer. Really? Home Depot allows this? I would have rated this Home Depot with 3-stars before this visit. I'll be back in a week or two and if things don't improve I'll be updating my review. If I rate the store with just one star, I won't be back... ever. I'll travel a little further to give my business to Lowe's, thank you... I went to the local Home Depot located at 3150 Case Road Bldg P Perris, CA 92570 (951) 928-0252 and I am very offended in the customer service I received. Yesterday afternoon I felt very offended by the Home Depot customer service I received. I went to this location because I needed a few items to assist me in some projects that I am doing in my home. after I collected everything that I needed, I went to the customer service area to check out (I usually check out at the customer service desk because I receive the veterans discount and it's the fastest way to process all my items). after I paid for my goods, I headed towards the store exit with my two children with me. As I started to pass through the self checkout area and headed towards the exit I was stopped by a customer service agent. she demanded to see my receipt. I asked her why did she need to see my receipt. She stated that she was just following protocol. I said to her, I have been coming to this store for many years and I have never been told that my receipt is needed to be viewed before I leave Home Depot. I said to her, "why are you selecting me out of all the customers who have passed you. Is it because I am wearing a scarf on my head?" Her cheeks began looking pinkish as she said, "I am only following. protocol I must check all the receipts of the customers who are leaving the store." I did not want to cause a scene, so I gave her the receipt. Feeling quite annoyed from the confrontation, I returned to the store speak with a manager. But, instead there was a customer service representative at the returns register who claimed that she was the presiding supervisor of the representative in question. I say claimed because she could not void the transactions without help of another employee (I assume the manager) who gave me a dirty look. I told her that I wanted to return everything that I purchased. When she inquired my reason, I told her the full story. She apologized to me and said that she would talk to the representative. I told her that she should not have to apologize to me since it was not her who offended me but, the representative with a questionable behavior. She said that she is sure that this will not happen again when I come back to Home Depot. I told her I doubt that because I had decided to NEVER come back to this location for any service. In the end nothing was done about the situation. I felt like I was mollified. I am dumbfounded that this treatment is still happening and so close to home. I truly believe that I was being discriminated towards because I had my workout clothes on (which I stated to the "supervisor"). As I told the clerk, I should not have to feel like I I must change my attire before I come to Home Depot, because of fear that I will be stereotyped and harassed. Furthermore, as I was making my complaint I noticed the same representative was not stopping anyone else to check the receipt (who did not use the self check out registers). However, I am not sure if it is a coincidence that all those people were not dark skinned like me. I know for a fact that I was being mistreated. I know for a fact that nothing was done. I know for a fact that others must know about this disgusting display of discrimination. read more

I have never been nothing but satisfied with this location. I live down the street, they have always helped me with paint, bug spray, refrigerator filters and other home up keep needs. Only once I waited a bit longer (wood cutting) but, never the less, I've been happy. Today I was more than satisfied. My plants died so I returned them. Well the worker from the garden section came to make sure my return was just, I kept my receipt now learning as a home owner.. He was so informative. Once I returned my product I went back to the garden section to talk to him. He was so educated on why my flowers died. I also talked to him about my tree that was dying on top but the bottom was surviving. I had to leave a bit before 2pm to pick my daughter up. I returned and unfortunately he wasn't in the garden area. I wanted more advice. I ended up buying a better garden soil and top soil and a rose plant. I really wanted his advice. Congratulations on hiring someone educated on plants and are willing to go beyond to help a clueless home owner. I wish I new his name but I hope this review gives him some sort of recognition. In general, the store is better than the average Home Depot in delivering customer service. The name really should be changed to the China Depot as the majority of what they sell is China made and and of dubious quality, especially the hardware items. Such is the big box store business model. So be it. I waited for a long time for the salesperson at the kitchen center. When she finally arrived she was hurried, spent no time talking to me, and took my design saying she would call me back with her estimate. Never received a return call. Also got the blow off from the Home Depot Decorator service. Big on sending email ads but horrible at responding. I called and checked on line several times about my order progress. Still no table. The gals at Home Depot did everything they could to help me track down this table. Still no luck. They gave me a good discount and helped me try and pick out another one. So Valerie went to get my chairs so we could match up a table with them. And here she comes with my chairs and my table. Wow! My table had come in! Every single person I delt with, either on line or in person was wonderful! Very pleasant, helpful, and encouraging. I say that because I REALLY wanted this particular set very much and they did everything they could to help me get it. I write this sad review today to say i really feel cheated on something so small ... i wanted to buy paint and have a enjoyable experience here at THE HOME DEPOT AND WHEN I WENT TO THE STORE IT WAS, UNTIL i looked at the bill 2 cans of paint that i had a young man make for me the price was double what i was expecting yes i was distracted with my two kids with me a 6 and 8 year old and i was trying to go with a cheap paint to cover a already painted wall this was explained to the employee but he took it upon himself to mix me nonreturnable expensive paint that has primer and a lifetime warranty that was not explained either when it was handed to me and my son 55 dollars and some change for 2 gallons i figured 30, 35 dollars sure not closer to 60. I really feel the employee took advantage by not giving me what i needed and sold me more then what i needed and never saying the price after i found out it was too late and stuck with a non-return policy. I just came up there to return explaining what happen and i asked for a manager they send the paint employee to tell me the policy and that they will talk to the guy who sold it to me... really that is the best HOME DEPOT can do on such a small thing i would even buy the right paint i need if that were a option and told the paint associate that but it didn't matter thanks for your talk to the employee.... doesn't help me.... read more

DO NOT PURCHASE TOOL WARRANTIES! This company has the biggest racquet since the mob. It is almost impossible to get a repair on a tool because all the employees are intentionally kept in the dark on what the procedure is to allow a customer to use one. I purchased an air compressor with a three-year warranty and have spent the past three weeks getting bounced around from one person to another. Taking it from one repair shop that would not repair it; to another repair shop that would not repair it. The shops were supposed to be Home Depot approved shops. Absolutely worst experience I've ever had in any place ever. I asked an employee a question in the lumbar section and not only was he rude and dismissing but when his supervisor came to ask what was going on he lied when I cleared up the lie he stayed quiet. Later when I was in line to pay one of the items didn't have a price tag so I had to wait for them to get the pricing ( which is understandable) but when they called the person to come and help to check the price it was the same guy from the lumbar section to which he responds "really??? I was just helping you 15 minutes ago you really need hemp again?" He then leaves to try to find the item it was. I explained to him where I got the item and the specifications in size. Three different times he came back and forth to measure it. I waited in line for thirty minutes for him to finally find the price for the item which clearly had the price under all the specifications. Not only that but when I requested help to put an item in my car I waited another 15 minutes on top of the thirty I had already waited for them to get a simple price check. The guy who came to help me was absolutely rude as well telling me to hurry up and show me where my car was if I wanted help. After waiting for 15-20 minutes just for him to show up he had the audacity to be rude and rushing me as soon as he got there as if I was going to magically teleport. If I could leave a zero star review I would. It honestly blows my mind how these people have jobs that they clearly hate. I wish I would've gotten their names because thanks to them I will never even consider going to this place ever again. read more

Was a loyal customer to this store until tonight. I custom ordered some blinds which were incorrect once received. I attempted to return them to this store, email receipt in hand, when they told me they can only do store credit or it would take 15 days to return to my card. I even asked if they'd be able to just reorder it for me and call it an even exchange that way no money is dealt with here, where I was told "I don't know, they do orders in the back". I was instead recommended to go home and contact the manufacturer of the blinds and see if they can do something. So even though this error was not my fault there was nothing they can do? They send me away instead? Thanks for nothing Home Depot I'll drive further and shop at Lowe's from now on. read more
