Horrible. Here is a perfect example of how inept this store is: For months their website said they had 1 gallon jugs of Windex available for sale... They even listed the isle and bay.... Unfortunately for two months straight every time you would go to that aisle none of them were for sale and you would ask an employee where they were and they would tell you oh I'm sorry they are up top and we need to get a pallet jack... I stopped by yesterday to grab some quick supplies. I wanted to go in and out. Using the app or website prior too or during your shopping is a must. I was able to see if item was in stock and exactly where to go. I knew what isle and what bay. No wandering around the store lost or hoping to get help from someone. Not that their employees aren't willing to help. I don't know why I haven't done this recon sooner. Yes you can purchase online or via app but if you made your list and you checked it twice why not know exactly where to go or even wonder if it's in stock. As far as the service I received at the register it went smooth the cashier was super amazing, handsome, fast and well dressed. (I used self checkout). We don't shop much in Home Depot but this store is just as any other location. There's plenty of parking and their garden section is well maintained! The staff is friendly and some are not as knowledgeable but they find someone who is to help us. The bathrooms are also well kept! We usually go here for the Kids Workshops! My kids love it and the staff that runs it is amazing! They're really sweet! The kids get aprons with their names on it, they get a wood project to make, you can paint it afterwards (or take it home to paint which is less messy) and you get a completion certificate and a pin once you're done! Highly recommend this program to everyone! I'm only knocking one star off for the amount of people asking you if you have work for them. There's also a hot dog stand outside by the lumber area on the weekends! read more

To Manager Eric. I was at your store today 5 minutes before 8 pm and your entrance doors were locked. There was an employee inside the store pushing carts putting them by the front entrance door. When he saw me he said we are closed. I told him It was only 7:57 and I had 3 minutes. His response to me was " I don't lock the doors". If a business has posted hours you should honer those hours. I only had an exchange that would have taken me less than 5 minutes to exchange! I called the store after I left and the manager on duty told me the doors were not locked and he was the only one who could lock the doors, basically called me a liar. Check your camera. The doors were locked before closing time. Bad for business. read more

My mother purchased a custom double security screen door for her patio. We ordered at the home depot store #0455 at 7333 W McDowell RD, Phoenix AZ 85035.The installation was not done in a proper manner we are not please with it & now we are being charged over $600 just to have it removed. I've spoken to the manager Claudia her #623-873-5322 she didn't seem to help much with the situation, only said that they don't deal with this type of double patio doors. I responded why they didn't take the time to explain the installment of this type of patio security screen doors? There is a HUGE gap where anyone can reach through and unlock the door which defeats the purpose of a SECURITY screen door. There is no point in locking it. The company that did the installment is R.F Installations. I am their daughter & don't want them to get over charged for something they weren't at fault. RIP STEVE one of the greatest Human Beings I ever met in my life. Years and years I went to this location for my Plumbing parts because there was a very nice man who worked in Plumbing departments named Steve. He helped me no matter my plumbing problem. Last time I saw him he actually guided me step by step putting in a complete bathtub in a 1930s house in downtown Phoenix that had original CAST IRON plumbing. This man was a life saver. He honestly saved me 1000s of dollars by giving me the confidence to to do the job 100% by myself. Sometimes I would drive back and talk to Steve 6 times in a day. He always calmed me down and gave me my options. He was an angel. He truly had a heart of gold. Well about 4 years have gone by and I really haven't had any plumbing problems. Till yesterday that is. I had a pipe break under my bathtub in the house I live in now. I ran into some odd problems so I headed to Steve's home depot. I was talking to a worker and I said I wish I could call Steve. Well I found out that Steve died 2 years ago. I am going to be honest this one hit hard. You don't think you can form a bond with a worker at a local Home Depot, but you can. This man was one of the most amazing persons I ever came into contact with my entire life. God Bless Him and his family. I wish I knew their names to send my condolences. BTW I finished that plumbing job in about 10 hours by taking Steve's advice years ago. Just keep chipping away at the job and you will fix it. Thank you Steve you will be missed. 0 stars if I could! The worst store I have ever been to. Disorganized and mismanaged! cashier Arlene is completely unprofessional and rude. Instead of admitting she didn't know there are two names for trees (common and botanical) she accused me of changing the sticker on the pot (because there were two labels one on top of the other, at some point well before I arrived they dropped the price on the tree and put one label on top of the other and the tag on the branch of the tree had the botanical name instead of the common name) , refused to call the manager when I requested she did the first time, refused to call for back up for a proper price check and when another employee came she didn't ask her to check either. Then she tried to skip me in line in the middle of ringing up my items all because she didn't know how to look up the tree name on the register. The common name and botanical name displayed on the receipt by the way. Utter chaos! I complained to the manger Abigail about Arlenes degrading and unprofessional behavior and ignorance in the garden department and was met with a slew of excuses Arlene's inexcusable behavior, for Abigail's disorganized and mislabeled store and Abigail's failure to come in a timely manner when I made repeated requests for a manager to come be side her employee was why out of line. I purchased a tool box online, the toolbox was in stock at this store. I went to the store to pick the tool box up and they told me I had to wait 2-3 hrs , before I could leave with the toolbox. I told them to refund the amount back to my credit card and that they just lost a customer for life !! I needed to move a couple of items from storage. Only available truck was quite larger than I wanted. So I rented it. ZACH IN RENTALS WAS AWESOME. He was FRIENDLY, PERSONABLE, UNDERSTANDING, PROFESSIONAL. He helped me with moving the truck from the parking spot and helped park it back when done. Why? Because I asked. Did he have to. I purchased a $300-overkill-for-the-size-of-my-lawn-but-I-want-the-best lawn mower from this location. The first, and only, time it worked was the day I brought it home. My second use I had to buy a spark plug/fuse for it and LOW AND BEHOLD, for the third use I had to do the same. Rather than keep a faulty hunk of junk (Toro, by the way) I took it in tonight to return it. I was promptly ridiculed to my face (they didn't realize I was the customer for the lawn mower, standing right there) and I got to hear the guy from tool rentals GRIPE GRIPE GRIPE about how busy he was. Well, sir, I came home and tried to mow my lawn in between my TWO JOBS AND VOLUNTEERING but I realize that you, Home Depot Tool Rental Man, are quite stressed out. Anyway, they agreed to return my funds onto my Home Depot card (that has a zero balance) and then told me that it because it was over 30 days (I do not see this on my receipt anywhere, thank you!) that I had to have store credit. So, you sell me a POS lawn more with a BS return policy and then want to give me store credit so I can buy more garbage from your store? I think not. I used to love Home Depot. It was my second home. I am renovating an older house and I just like collecting tools. Of course I had their credit card also. That was until I tried to return 2 Christmas gifts I had received. I talked to customer service prior since I was not given a gift receipt but they were completely unopened in the shipping box from Home Depot. I was told that was no problem. I came in to get store credit and purchase the tools I needed instead but they had other plans. They dug their feet in and would not provide any customer service. I had spent almost 10k per year there but this 150 dollar exchange was worth losing a customers to them. I closed the card and I wrote their customer service dept. I even sent a letter to district manager but apparently retaining customers is not important to them. BUY FROM LOWES INSTEAD. read more

The exchange was declined rudely by Priscilla ontiveros & her manager. I ended up getting correct items from across the street Lowe's In the end Ira gave me a full Cash refund which I in turn put towards a new compressor It was the principle of the whole situation why I wanted a refund. read more

Let's start by saying this, I called 13 minutes ago to speak with management today about my dads experience and they left me on hold for about 14 minutes before disconnecting on me. My dad just suffered a stroke and his throat was paralyzed. At times he gets choked up and needs to spit. It happened to be in the store which he would have cleaned. A manager confronted my father and said "hey what did you spit on my floor floor" my dad explained his situation, the manager stated that was no excuse, you don't spit on my floor and get back because "I'm not the one" being very combative when my father attempted to apologize. He tells my dad "I'm not the one, big man get back" my father is 59 years old and has a numb left side of his body, why would a manger try and fight a man that is suffering from a stroke? Little man syndrome? My father left the store and decided to go back and apologize. When he went in to talk to another manger and apologize he walks up to my father and says "don't play the victim" that's disgusting, you could have used a rag. Sometimes when you are suffering from a stroke things happen, my father would have happily cleaned it. I work in customer service and this is a disgrace. How would he had treated my father if he was white? There was no empathy, no professionalism what so ever. I come from a customer service background and this is unacceptable. Why would you belittle someone and assume they want to spit in your store without identifying what is really happening? Lack of leadership or lack of training. I will be following up with corporate and filing a formal review with the BBB. While I am here, let me show you what customer service is all about. " Hey sir, I seen you spit up are you okay? I purchased flooring here. When I went to pickup my order part of it was the wrong color! This was a Friday and had schedule for install with an outside company for the following day. Well I asked for the correct flooring to be shipped next day delivery and they said that was not possible! I had to wait 2.5 weeks to get the correct flooring. I had to cancel my install due to this. Well 2.5 weeks go by and I get a call and I'm informed my floor has came in, great, as I thought, but she informs me it's damaged and if I want to come look at it!??? Why!?? I go in the next day to look at the floor and they are frustrated with me as this obviously has been a long process. They just wanna know if I'm taking it or not. If I do then I have damaged floor. If I don't then I wait another 2 weeks. They said they could do nothing for me because it's not their fault.. well I was compensated $10 for my troubles.. $10!!! When I purchased 800sq ft of flooring!! Maybe it's just this location, but I would not recommend making big purchases as there's no accountability if something goes wrong and then you're screwed. read more

So I came back inside and asked if anyone there could cut it for me, and the employee told me "sorry, we don't have anything here to cut that evenly." I explained it wouldn't completely fit in my car, hoping he would suggest an alternative or help me in some way so I wasn't stranded in the parking lot.. Instead he stared at me blankly. So I walked out and asked another employee if he could help me tie the trunk down and secure everything, and then he told me he "had no idea how to tie anything down and would grab his manager." Horrible, I was told by Dinah at rental dept who's apparently been there for 20 years that she would help me out and put that I checked out a rental a day later then I did and told me to return next day and I would be charged for 24hrs instead of 48hrs. Instead I show up at the day and time she told me to return it and instead of paying $66 and change they tell me I owe $190 and change. Ridiculous that they state it doesn't matter what someone tells you or wrote on your invoice. It's a time contract and just charge your card. I will be disputing the charges on this. Also they didn't seem to care that there was two employees standing next to her when she told me this that could verify what I was stating. My husband had his vehicle stolen from their parking lot while he was in the store looking for items for his client! The truck has all of his toolboxes bolted unto it, and so now all the tools are gone along with the truck! We are just devastated! Police were called. Would you look at that. A collective 2 STARS for this location. I get to be part of the unsatisfied collective group of patrons irritated by this location. So we had a mechanical failure with a piece of equipment and needed to rent one from Home Depot. My crew is on the west side of town and we are on the side of town. We don't have any problems with the Eastside Home Depot's excepting our money but this location has their own set of rules they must follow. We rent equipment all the time, and I'm not just saying that. We are knee-deep in their computer service with nothing but exemplary rental history. This location has decided that you must have credit card on site to rent anything so they severely inconvenienced our company by making my technicians come all the way back to the east side of town which caused our job to be delayed an entire day. We tried again the second day to rent a trencher and this time we had the company credit card on hand. We rented the equipment, got out to the job site and determined we couldn't use it due to condition of the ground so we took the trencher back and they tried to charge us a $200 fee for not cleaning it even though we didn't use it. Looks like this location needs a serious improvement in management. Hopefully Home Depot gets their stuff together if they value their customers especially contractors who spend a lot of money with them. I will be highly reconsidering my spendings with this company and I will encourage other contractors do so as well.
