This Home Depot is extremely unorganized, and their delivery service is terrible. We ordered a washer and dryer a couple months ago and told them that it needed to be delivered after 3 pm. They tried to deliver it at 10am, making us have to reschedule. We attempted to buy a fridge this past weekend, and they said it would have to be delivered... we knew that this would again be a problem. When placing the delivery order this time, we did it with an employee in person, she asked if we needed a certain drop off time, we said after 3pm. It has now happened again. They attempted to deliver at 7:45am. It is very frustrating and very inconvenient having to reschedule every single time they do not listen to our delivery instructions. I BEG YOU -- DO NOT GET CUSTOM CLOSETS INSTALLED THROUGH HOME DEPOT. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE!! My experience with a custom closet install was and continues to be a complete NIGHTMARE!! Home Depot outsources this service to Revelare Kitchens. There is a complete lack of communication between Home Depot and Revelare. As far as the Home Depot (Lower Pottsgrove) side of it: Home Depot has no idea what is going on with Revelare and could care less. When I call Home Depot to ask to speak to the manager about Revelare's incompetence, the wait times have been up to an hour and those answering the phone refuse to get an actual manager on the line. Its hit or miss, but I can usually get someone on the line who possibly understand a little about the deal between Home Depot and Revelare. They say they will put me through to the store manager, but I have learned that the person never really is. As far as Revelare, these people win the prize for total incompetence on the administrative side. They are unresponsive and have no idea about the status of your situation. The only thing good I can say is that they installers did a good job with the closets. However, I had to wait over nine weeks to get them installed and I am still dealing with the incompetents there to get parts that were missing or damaged during the install. The follow-up issues went into a black hole. My closets were installed on 10/12/25. Its 12/16/25 and I still do not have the missing / damaged parts replaced. Wish me luck -- I'll be calling Home Deport later today AGAIN about this issue to light a fire under Revelare to get my install completed. read more

It seems that Home Depot is selective in their choices of Vet support/recognition. I need short pieces of deck wood. Found a "discount" rack and found 4' long 5/8 deck wood at 70% off..Great! I won't have to get them cut down and with standard prices $10 for 8' and these being on 4' this should be a win-win! ( I expect them to be regular around $6 ea allowing an increase for a shorter piece. So 70% off of $6 should around $2 ea ) Off to the checkout...here the pieces came to $33 for 5! That translates to each one is regular priced around $20!! "Is there a vet discount?" "Not for lumber or hardware." ....in my mind: "But this IS a hardware store! That's like going to a grocery and being told: "discount applies only on non-edible items" So the pieces came to about $6 ea after discount. That's what I expected them to be retail. TLDR; Home Depot paid a contractor who broke my floor, said it wasn't Home Depot's fault, could not deliver a dishwasher or install it successfully, and then failed at the execution of every solution provided. A representative of Home Depot also told me COVID-19 is a fake disease. This Home Depot failed so bad I had to get my credit card company involved to get my money back. Home depot hired an installer that was not approved to do electric work by your own contract to do electrical work. he should have not done the work to hardwire the dishwasher. your own contract says they will not do it, this should have been turned away and this would have stopped 2 months of insufferable amounts of frustration. 2. Home Depot hired an installer who cracked over 10 tiles of my kitchen floor with hairline cracks that are not noticeable at first glance. It is my fault i did not catch these hairline cracks, but guess what the installer dropped the dishwasher and caused damage to these tiles. Full stop. it's not even worth coming after you for because of the pandemic i cant keep putting my family at risk because Home Depot is incapable of solving basic issues. 3. you sent me around to no less than four people to try and rectify the tiles with no conclusion. honestly at this point it will take months to fix this floor. Its not worth my time, instead im choosing to not shop at your stores again. and guess what any contractor I pick will also not shop at your stores for supplies. i will pay a premium to never give you a dime again. 4. You promised to cancel the dishwasher and give me a refund, that story kept changing. we missed no less then three dates that were agreed to by several customer service reps as well as store employees. I recently purchased a microwave and oven at the Home Depot in Lower Pottsgrove. The sales associate was great. We arranged for a delivery date of July 8 (the day I'm writing this). I've been waiting to get contacted for the specific timeframe for the delivery, but have heard nothing. So I texted the number I was given to see what was up, and the reply was that the delivery date was July 14. I double-checked with the phone number I was given and the automated voice confirmed the date. There was no option to speak to a real live human being. So now I am pissed as hell. I set up the kitchen to allow for the installation, and I was counting on this taking place today. (I made arrangements to be at home.) Well, I guess the joke's on me for trusting that Home Depot would do what they promised to do. So now I'm stuck. I have to wait a week and now I have to clear my schedule for July 14. I am infuriated that Home Depot has so little consideration for its customers. I guess that I'm the one who should be at their service. Please note that I'm not complaining about the delay. Stuff happens. But I cannot forgive them for not bothering to check with me about the new delivery date. Literally THE WORST customer service. Went in for a blind, it needed to be cut and no one knew how to cut it. I could've done it myself but that "isn't allowed" for obvious safety reasons. Placed an order for a fridge to be delivered Oct. 5. Woke up that morning to check the status of the order online and it was rescheduled for a delivery date of Oct. 9, without receiving any email, text or notification otherwise. Needed a fridge asap, went to Lowes and had one delivered the NEXT day. Getting my money refunded ($1,000 for the fridge) was a nightmare. It took multiple calls and almost 2 weeks to get the money refunded to my credit card. I was also lied to on the phone, being told that the refund was complete and I would receive an email. That didn't happen and I had to call back AGAIN. Then they called me and told me they can't cancel an online order without me taking my credit card to an actual Home Depot store. WTF? Even though I got a return receipt on 10/16, I'm being told it will be 5-10 days before the money is refunded back to my credit card. I was originally told that on 10/5. I tried to post a review on Home Depot's web site, but they did not approve the review, stating it did not follow their standards. I am 100% done with Home Depot after this horrible experience. I like this Home Depot location over any that I have been at. The people that work here Go above and beyond the home depot call of duty. When I go in here I know I always have a puzzled look on my face cause I'm clueless when it comes to building or fixing crap. So needless to say people stop to ask me if I need any help. I feel like I ask way to many questions but they actually answer everything. The best thing that I like was one of the questions the guy couldn't answer. He said " I don't want to give you the wrong answer I'm not really sure let me get you some one who knows better". He came back with the other guy and they explained everything to the t. I like the honesty because they could just pretend and feed you a line of cow crap. But they don't . To me it appears lowes has more of a selection then Home Depot but Home Depot customer service is so much better. A few weeks ago I tore down my fence in my back yard and put up 6 foot pvc privacy fence. The guy explained in detail what tools I need what cement. He explained how to measure. How far to dig ect. I was able to install several panels on my own. They are still standing so I must have done something right. The return process is effortless. You go up and no questions asked just return it. I always feel like I have to explain the whole store of what's wrong with the item. A lot of times it's just because I'm a moron and don't get the right thing. The place is kept very well cleaned and maintained. Some moron customer dropped what appeared to be a snot rag on the ground and with out skipping a beat a worker swooped in and picked it up like a boss. Me personally I would have had to put on gloves but when ur a die hard home depotian I guess it doesn't matter. The workers treat the store like it's there own home. They are also very aware of customer safety which is there main priority. When they are moving the fork lift around the will stop for all customers walking. There motto appears to be customer first. I feel bad for them cause hey are constantly stopping. I even watched as they were moving a forklift, some one stopped and asked them questions about a location of an item and they stopped and answered. They even gave him recommendations. I have ordered large kitchen appliances on three occasions over the last few years...every time, something has arrived damaged and have had to send it back...makes it difficult when you work a Monday to Friday (and some Saturdays) job! Just this week ordered a complete kitchen "suite"...dishwasher could not be installed as some hoses were missing; refrigerator plug was busted; double oven was dented and scratched; cooktop has to wait for a "special" installer. The purpose of this note is to share with Home Depot management issues encountered and not resolved in the Pottstown, PA Home Depot Store. I tried to call but no one answers their customer service phones. I would have posted this issue on the Home Depot site but they don't have provision for customer issues. Background I have a home that I am fixing to resell. I have purchased the majority of items for the home at the store number 4132, Home Depot in Pottstown, PA including wood, carpet, faucets, kitchen sink, etc. I decided to replace the kitchen counter, I decided that I did not want to do the work I would hire Home Depot to replace the counter at a cost of $1,500.00. My other option was to use Rust-o-leum restore kit at a total cost of $200.00. I committed to the extra $1,300.00 because I have a ton of other tasks that must be completed and I did not want to spend the time on the counter. I met with one of the HD sales reps, provided her with a drawing and a detailed description with accurate measurements of what I wanted: * remove existing counter, * remove existing back splash, * measure, build and install the new counter and back splash. She advised me that Home Depot would handle it all and we worked up an estimate. I signed and paid the agreed amount. A few days later I made an appointment for the installation firm to come to the property and create a template. That is when the problems began: 1. He explained the part number of the laminate counter was not scratch resistant. The sales person said it was scratch resistant and heat resistant. I had to change the counter top material which increased the cost. 2. He said that he could not create the template because the back splash was still on the wall. He said that he was not allowed to remove it. No one had ever mentioned this. In fact, when I called the sales person she said the installer was in error and that she would contact the vendor and get it straightened out. She never called back. a. I showed him the drawing and dimensions I had shown the sales person, he said they don't remove back splashes of that size. 3. I agreed to remove the back splash and rescheduled for the measurement. The salesperson told me that I would have to pay for the visit by the installer. I reminded her that she never told me that I had to remove the back splash, in fact, she sold me the service to have it removed. I had to escalate to the store manager in order to get this resolved. Because the phone service at the site is so bad I had to go to the store. If you would like to verify this fact, call HD on at: 610-718-9388. 4. The installer sent a new guy to create the template. When he arrived he informed me that he will NOT remove the old counter top because it is nailed in place. Now I have to remove the old counter top. This is another failure on the part of the Home Depot representatives. 5. Let's go back to the beginning, I hired Home Depot to do the job at an additional cost of $1,300 over the Rust-o-leum restore kit because I didn't want to do the work. If the HD sales representative had been knowledgeable in her craft we could have avoided a lot of effort, wasted time and saved me $1,300. read more

I scheduled a window installation and siding repair. The window installation was painless enough; the installers arrived around 20 minutes after the time window, but they were friendly and did a nice job. The siding repair has been another matter. Initially, the siding installer was supposed to arrive the day before the window installers but cancelled. The scheduler called me several times for the same installation, and even after I scheduled the initial appointment I received several calls from the same person who seemingly didn't remember speaking to me just hours before hand. So, the scheduler tells me the siding guy will show up with the window guys, once again he never shows up. We reschedule again, the siding guy cancels because of the rain, though it wasn't raining and did not rain the entire day. We reschedule again, this time I take a half day off from work. With a window of 8-10 I receive a phone call at 945 that the siding installer had his schedule mixed up and won't be showing up. We reschedule again for today. My wife takes off a half-day from work. Once again with a time window of 8-10. 1030 my wife calls me and says she can't wait any longer. I call the service dept to confirm that the appointment was indeed for today, even though we received a confirmation phone call the day before (the same as the other appointments). The service dept tells me the install is still scheduled and that the installer is running late, so I leave work to go meet the guy. I get a phone call 20 minutes later from the "project manager" telling me that the installer is in the hospital with the flu. The estimate was high, but I was willing to pay for the convenience of having it complete all at once. We have now had 6 cancellations, and I was supposed to receive a call with a new appointment within the hour and that was 6 hours ago. My wife and I missed nearly 16 hours of work because of this fiasco as well. Window install was 4 stars, siding was zero... read more

Carpet installation nightmare. We installed $6,000 worth of carpet, then decided to install another (the largest) room with the same material. Another $1,500 later and they delivered the wrong measurement, for a room that was ALREADY installed. They've measured the space twice already and can't keep a measurement in the system. We have a bare floor with tack strips, and furniture packed in to other rooms while waiting to have this completed. I've called the company six different times to secure a re measure and to finalize this installation. I have not been called once proactively and offered service or a solution. Each associate passes the buck to another person or department. And USIG, their contractor group is just as inept. Stores can't share information with each other and the back office doesn't have a clue what's going on. Calling the store ensures between 15 minutes and a half hour waiting on hold. I regret trusting them with my home. You'll get a better deal elsewhere and I can't imagine worse service. ZERO professionalism with issue resolution. Don't waste your time. read more

When I purchased 2 gallons of paint on 5-27-18, my checkout person directed me to go to the website and submit for a rebate. I listed my exact item in the search bar (1 gal. Medium Base Semi-Gloss Enamel Zero VOC Interior Paint and Primer in One) The item did come up several time, and each time I clicked for the form, the form stated " "for online purchase only." Even though I searched for the exact product, there were 314 listings. After pulling up forms for about 20 of the listings (still for online purchases only!!!) I decided to call and ask if in-store purchases were eligible fo rebate. I spoke to Mario, and although he tried to help, he could not answer the question. He transferred me to the Rebate Center where I was unable to speak to a human being (despite pressing every possible option) or to get that simple question answered: Was my in-store purchase of the above item eligible for rebate. Customer service is very poor at this particular Home Depot. Employees are often short, if not openly hostile, to each other and customers. I shop at several Home Depot and other "big box store" locations in Montgomery County as both a homeowner and contractor. The Pottstown HD is by far the worst in terms of customer service. I have witnessed employees on several occasions escalate issues with a customer when they really should be attempting to be helpful. Not certain if the poor service is due to bad hiring practices, ineffective management, and/or insufficient training in dealing respectfully with customers, but I do know I will take my business elsewhere. read more

Purchased concrete wall blocks, asked for assistance loading blocks. Cashier called "Dave" for assistance. When he finally showed up my husband was loading the blocks on a carrier. He walked right past him and went to another customer. Had to ask me to move to get by. Bought 20 bags of mulch and once again asked for assistance loading the mulch in the truck. Dave was called three times to help and never showed. Cashier asked female employee if she would help. She was unable to lift the bags to put into the truck so once again my husband loaded the purchase. At this point, I was angry and went to customer service asking to talk to the manager. After 10 minutes of waiting, she never showed. CUSTOMER SERVICE is very much lacking in this store. We NEVER have a problem like this at Lowes. read more

Made 2 visits to Home Depot this past weekend. The first visit was for a part for a minor home repair and lawn care products. The second was for different lawn/garden care products. The weather was nice so I was ready for the store to be mobbed. On the first visit, I found the area with the parts I needed and was browsing the good selection of parts (more of a selection than I expected for the type of part I needed). I found a part which I thought would replace the broken one. One of the employees approached me and asked if I needed any help. I explained my issue and showed him the old part. He suggested a different part which may have lasted longer in the conditions I explained, but said the one I chose would work fine too. I was pleased that the employee took the time to approach me and ask if I needed any help even though the store was busy. I went to the lawn and garden area to look at the lawn care product I was interested in. I had found what I thought was the product I needed. Again, an employee (different person) approached me and asked if I needed help. I explained what I was looking for and the condition of my yard. He explained that a different product would be more appropriate given the condition of my lawn and the time of year. He also helped me verify the amount of product I needed and how to configure my equipment to use the product. I purchased all the products confident that I had what I needed. I was very pleased with the service I received. The second trip was the next day. I had to return for a different lawn and garden product. The store was more busy than the previous day. I was still in the parking lot when I asked on of the employees gathering carts where I might find this product. He showed me two areas where I could find the product (depending upon what kind I wanted). I grabbed a cart, went to the first area, found the product I needed. I loaded up the cart and went to pay. The cashier was very friendly and asked if I needed any help loading the bags into my car. I said "No, thank you!" and proceeded to my car. While I was loading the bags into my car, two other employees who were gathering carts stopped and one of helped me finish loading the bags into my vehicle...without even asking! He just took the initiative and did it! This is outstanding customer service. Consistently superb customer service on busy (not to mention hot and humid) days is what makes this business stand out and shine. read more

We have been a regular customer here for many years BUT - Friday we went in to purchse a John Deere lawn tractor and couldn't find anyone to help us. We were looking at the tractors outside- nobody was around so we went into the store - found 7 people in the very front of the store - had to ask someone if they could help - the person who finally said yes then went on to find someone else to help us. Nobody left the area and the person who was "helping" us got sidetracked and we waited another 10 minutes - as she got busy with something else. Sorry, we purchased elsewhere. Ok. If you go onto this Home Depot, make sure you know what you are looking for and where it is. Over the past few years, it seems like the Pottstown HD had fewer and fewer experienced workers. Many times, they cannot seem to find what you are looking for, and that is if you can find someone to help you at all. I once ordered a door from them and they took 6 weeks to get it in after screwing up the first order. Also, the quality of their wood is not as good as I had hoped and the store is very dirty. My husband and I love going to the Home Depot in Pottstown. Someone was always there to help when we needed it. The people who work there are so friendly, A few employees recognize us when we walk in, they even ask how everything went with what ever project we had. I have never had any installation jobs done, so I can't comment about that. I am thinking about having a window replaced and might go there for a quote. I just had a horrible customer service experience here with the Assistant Manager. When I asked to speak to a manager, she took almost 15 minutes to even acknowledge me and then she refused a $20 exchange. I spent over $600 for a new washer at another location and just needed to exchange the new hoses they up-sold me because they were too short. This location refused my exchange telling me the "system wouldn't recognize the item". I had to drive 20 miles to the nearest location that took care of my exchange, was able to put the item "in the system" and informed me that the manager in Pottstown was in fact just refusing the return because she didn't want the item in her store. I will never shop in this location again and I will advise my family and friends to do the same. It is only due to the the Norristown location's dedication to meeting the needs of their customers I haven't written the company off all together. read more
