Since my last review I've come to being a Loews guy and today is the reason why. Needing some cut to order bed slats the lumber guys could care less. When me and another customer bugged them to wait on customers we finally got our lumber cut. Loews is customer focused. Depot clearly isnt. The checkout clerk was extremly nice. read more

Their merchandise was awesome and affordable, based on what we needed. I decided to embark on a DIY mirror framing mission for my bathroom. I watched countless YouTube videos and headed over to Home Depot to purchase the materials. Home Depot had everything in stock that we needed, aside from Kryolin Fusion Gloss spray paint. The customer service was lacking, apart from a young gentleman in the painting area who was extremely helpful, everyone else seemed kind of lost & disinterested. This location is extremely close to home and will be our go to spot for home improvements. read more

This Home Depot is conveniently located near my home. The staff is always friendly and helpful when I need help. The only issue I have is that I get harassed by people trying to sell me solar panels almost every time I go in there. If anybody with some authority reads this please make them stop. read more

After ever mechanic that was open in Riverview told ne although: "the sign says, full auto service? WE don't fix all auto service" seriously!? Not even kidding! None of the auto centers, mechanics etc DO NOT FIX DENT RIMS. How crazy is that!? So after i am obligated to cancel my Dashing cuz the pothole situation here is as bad as no mechanics fix bent rims? I say fuck it! N went straight to the nearest Home Depot. I gotta say, i was starting to calm down until i git to the home depot. I was sent to isle 14. No blow torches there. I found isle 13th? Has a sign that literally says Welding/slodering. I celebrated! Guess what? No gear for both!!! Like what the hell!? I was about to go into my super saiyan level 4 stage of anger. Fortunately a gentleman spotted me fuming n running around the isles. He apologized for the mess they got there. Apparently the HD is still updating their order due to a renovation they are currently still doing. It took me down to Bulma level of Crabbyness. Found my blow torch $25 buckeroos is in my daily budget. Thanked the gentleman and paid. Store looks like the others. My only beef is with the obvious. They seriously need to At least update the signs. It's not hard at all. Remove signs and put temporary ones in. I am a strategist, I already know where to go before going to the stores. Same when i go to a restaurant or when i go clubbing. I already know who im kissing etc the point is? I do my research and lok up online where n what is at places. Im hyper focused in craft, tech and beautiful girls. Most H.D. Are set the same way. Mine in Valrico, the one in falkenburg n 60. They are the same but mirrored. Isle 14 in the old ones has the welding/soldering departments. Ruskin one it was 15. Like i could go on lol i still remember the one in PR. And that was 20+ years ago. Again my point? Keep them the same, we psychos like order n know where our stuff is at. Keeping me happy makes me want to buy more from the store. My minimum is that the signs don't match the product. That would keep me happy, n everybody else i saw looking for stuff n not finding it. Although those hiccups i eventually found, i'd come back in the future when they figure out when to stop moving stuff around cuz like i said? I would rather drive to the next one than waste my time playing: "where's waldo" with whatever i need. Oh yeah, i bought the blow torch to use it with my deadbolt hammer n a piece of lumber to just fix my rim myself. No worries it's a steel type so the Torch n hammer technique, works fine. Went here today to rent their little pick up truck. You can rent it for $19.95 plus the tax for 75 minutes. They don't charge you for mileage, it's free. It's $5.00 for each additional 15 minutes you go over. It's convenient if your car is small as mine is. If you just need to transport a small piece of furniture, a bbq or a big screen tv etc, it's a good deal. I only gave 3 stars because their was all small rocks in the bed of the truck. This tells me the employees didn't check that the previous renter returned it clean. read more

Michelle at Home Depot is my Shopping Fairy. She makes impossible possible. I was going to hire a landscaper but after chatting up Michelle from garden I felt like I could take on the task. She shared a few techniques, what to do and not do, and would keep me updated on sales. After all this I shopped till I dropped. I got all the things I needed. So much so I ended up renting a truck from Home Depot as well. Michelle and the Happy Blond Unicorn Guy at check out (nursery Resgistry) made everything easy. I must say I have been a long time Lowe's shopper but Michelle makes all the difference. Yet another exceptional trip to Hone Depot. My fourth one of the day each better than the next. Michelle as always on point. So much so she remembers my past purchases and will suggest the items needed to enhance what I have at home. And no, not trying to up sell as she highlights all the items on clearance. She knows my taste and will show me new arrivals. All and all she rocks. Sam!!!!! A Gem!!! He saw me sweating in a corner loading 50 bags of rocks and quickly jumped in to help. Very neatly and meticulous with his work. Took one of the carts and walked me to the registered. Owned a past mistake on one of his colleagues apologized and made sure to correct the issue. Never left my side till it was done. The staff always on point and honor our military discount. Quick and easy Home Depot in Riverview! One thing cool about this location is the easy in and out. I've yet to get caught up in a long line waiting to check out here. They have a lot more than just improvement supplies. I purchased a Rocket vacuum here for less than Amazon was offering it. That's a deal! Also, there's some of the best bulb selection anywhere - many with that super long lifespan (the floods I bought today have a 22 year lifespan!). Guess I'll be retired by the time I replace them. Some HD's have inside or outside aggressive salespeople trying to sell window replacements, etc. I've never experienced that here and glad about it. read more

I usually come here with my parents for their gardening and planting needs. It's got an ok selection of stuff plants though most of the plants seem like they are annuals. As we look for preannuals it's a little more limited as far as our options. My mom likes to come here for Hawaiian tai plants and there is usually a ton of options for those. As far as variety eh it lacks. It's also kind of annoying that on a weekend there will only be two people on the registers causing a line to form in the heat which can be annoying. There are also rarely people who can help you because again the garden section is usually pretty much a ghost town. I have only been in the store to find a particular paint chip for which I had a skew number for, however they did not seem to offer the paint choice anymore which was little disappointing. The worst customer service I have ever had. I have frequented the store several times over the past 2 weeks and the staff are consistently unwilling to assist in any facet, including paging others to assist with heavy lifting and items on high shelves. Was told I would have to wait 30 minutes for the manager to open the large door so my cabinet could easily exit the building since it did not fit through the regular exit. If I could give a 0 stars rating,I would. We bought our tree last year from Home Depot in Riverview. I was a little concerned because it was losing some needles but was told it was normal. We got it home and into water. The entire time we had it, the tree never took up any water and my living room looked like the forest floor with all the pine needles. First off, I want to make sure I get this manager's name correct. He is the main reason for this stella review! I believe his name was Mark. He is very tall, blond/brown hair and just a kind hearted soul with a wonderful smile! I was at this location shopping for some specific 'DIY' project tools for my 2 year old's birthday party. As I'm sure most can imagine, my anxiety and stress level was pretty high planning this event. It was just my little boy and I that shopped this one morning and it wasn't until we checked out that I realized my car keys were missing. I knew that I had them when I entered the store because I used my key fob to lock the car as we were walking in. I retraced my steps through the 5-6 aisles that we went down and quickly began to freak out as the keys were nowhere to be found. I even went outside to see if I accidentally dropped them but to no avail. My next stop was customer service to inquire if the keys were turned in to lost and found. As I walked up I see Mark walking through and it seemed like he was just arriving for the day. He could see how nervous I was as I told him that I had lost my keys somewhere. He immediately stopped what he was doing and reassured me that he would help me find them. He said over and over that it would be ok to try and calm me down. What he didn't know at the time was that set of keys was the only set my family and I possessed so I was really in trouble! He asked me where I had shopped and started to retrace my steps with me. As we walked he stopped every employee he could and asked if they had found a set of keys. With each employee's response of 'no' my faith that we'd find them dwindled but Mark kept my hopes up as he continued to help me look. He could have simply said 'If we find them, we will contact you' but he chose to take time out of his busy day to help me. After our complete 360 circle of searching, he then stopped and asked one final employee to take down my information and that they'd continue to look throughout that day. Even the parking lot employees said that they would continue looking outside in the sweltering heat for me! I decided at this juncture that I would have to call AAA for help and $150 bucks later, I got a new car key made. While the AAA tech was working, I went inside to go to the bathroom with my toddler and Mark noticed me and stopped me to ask if I had gotten any help. I told him AAA was there for us and he said "OK, great! If they replace your FOB and charge you a lot for it, please feel free to come back inside and ask for me. I will make you a 2nd replacement for FREE." I was absolutely dumbfounded! I couldn't believe how kind he was to me. I decided to go with the normal AAA key replacement as the FOB would have cost $100 more, (and as luck would have it the AAA tech was able to make me a 2nd copy at no charge) or else I would have taken Mark up on his generous offer. I am so grateful for workers like those I met at this Home Depot location though I am even more thankful for people like Mark! They don't make them like him anymore these days! I really hope he sees this and that I got his name right! read more

I went to purchase carpet for our small church. I first had to have our place measured at a cost of $35. So I set up an appointment, they were so busy, it was about 3 weeks out. The gentleman came out to measured, I was under the impression that I would get a quote that day since I picked out a carpet the day I set the appointment, but he told me I should get a email later that day with the quote. I did receive the email but no quote, just recommendations for carpet. So a few days later my husband and I went to the store to pick a couple of other types of carpets to compare quotes with first choice I had made. I had called prior to going there to make sure someone was there to help us, which they said there was. We got there and there was not an associate in sight. There was no one in appliances, kitchen or carpet. We waited for almost 15 to 20 minutes, my husband finally went to customer service and still one came to help us. We finally went to back to customer service and asked for a manager. She came out and was able to fine someone to help us. We showed him 2 other carpets we wanted quotes on, he said he would send the over the place that measured the space for us and they were the ones to give us a quote, finalize the purchase and schedule the install. He told us we should get a email within a couple of hours. We never received the email. So I called the place that did the measuring never received the carpet selections to give us our quotes. So I called this morning asking for my $35 back and I will take my business somewhere else. Not worth the wait. read more

I like Home Depot, I like it better that they cater to military personnel thou I'm not military. They have signs posted for wounded military parking, that's fabulous! I am at HD at least twice a week. So I was understandably confused when I watched a blond haired manager argue with a clearly retired military man about giving him his discount. This happened Saturday afternoon 4/9 mid afternoon. Why? Why in the world would this women hold a hard line on discounts with military personnel? It gets worse, she then told him he didn't qualify for the discounts and he was lucky to have gotten them in the past??? WHAT? He was fuming! Clearly not her shining moment. You guys may want to get together on your policies concerning military but you will lose showing disrespect to people who fought for our freedoms. read more

Maybe I'm just not a "hardware store" guy, what with my soft hands and grout inexperience, but Home Depot just didn't do it for me. Aside from the occasional tool or a fan or whatever, we contracted with them to get new flooring and backsplashes installed in a few rooms. This process, over two weeks, took two 90-minute apiece visits to the store, an in-home estimation (40 minutes), and a 13-hour install job. The estimate and install - fine. But it shouldn't take 3 hours to pick out some tile and set an appointment. Nearly every step of that in-store was a bumbling mess, with price misquotes, a delivery screwup, and long stretches of time sitting at a desk while someone else was on hold. Also, an additional $300 to pull up a toilet? Puh-lease. The install jobs get contracted out though, so our non-HD installer was competent and pretty darn quick. But even the estimator had screwed up, warranting a trip for more supplies - where floor-roaming salespeople try to get you to buy more home services. These chumps are doubly ineffective in that they approach unsolicited, and also don't know where anything is in the building. The actual conversations - "Can I help you find something?" "I need backsplash tile for the kitchen." "Oh I don't know where that is, but do you know about our cabinet service offer we're doing today onl---hey where are you going?" read more

The new management and most employees at our local Home Depot #630 has done a remarkable job over the last several months. Employees for the most part are much more helpful, the store is neatly organized and even the parking lot and carts are kept organized. The effort to detail is much appreciated as a customer. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION IF YOUR A VETERAN! For some reason, the management at this Home Depot location won't give you a veterans discount even if you have the Verified veteran status on your drivers license. I have had a few times the cashier would honor it at this location but it depends on the cashier. I left almost three hundred dollars worth of merchandise at the cashier today because the cashier refused to give me my veterans discount and when she called management, they told her to just offer me 5%. I was able to purchase what I needed at the Sun City store and get my discount. If you want your veterans discount, the stores in Brandon and Sun City have never given me any issues. read more

I have to say I loved this store for the location from where my daughter and family lives .. they don't carry the same stock as other home depots. They only carry three types of pre fab cabinets. I went to purchase rain gutters to make book shelves for my granddaughter (pintrest) ... they were completely mixed up and there was only one of the size I needed - the gate was across where I needed to go which normally wouldn't be a big deal except no one around... so why was it blocked off??? I was in line to pay for my purchases at the Home Depot on Bloomingdale Ave, FL and they told me that they would NOT ACCEPT my military ID because I was not active or retired military. I spent 3 years in USAF and I feel like my military service is not appreciated at this store. All the other Home Depots are not like this. I ordered $700 worth of blinds from the Riverview home on Bloomingdale Rd. They promised me that they would be and in 2 weeks when they actually took about 6 weeks to come in. I had one special order that was correct the remainder of the blinds were supposed to be cut to size. They had the measurements and when I came in to get them the 1st time.. They gave me uncut blinds. I did not know they were the wrong size until their installer told me so. I had to haul all of them back. read more

This reflects my experience with counter tops. My company picked a particular pattern on line, and asked me to purchased it in countertops. I stopped at the Bloomington store to get information and order. Well the countertop person starts at 10:30am said the over worked man in the department. He tried to scheduled an appointment but I declined time restraints. I came back later talked to the countertop lady and she kept telling I had to buy a 4x8 countertop. I asked why did I have to buy such a large top that was beyond standard. Company policy, insane I went to the Adamo location and was treated Professionally. A big box hardware store is a big box hardware store. Can usually find what I'm looking for. Staff is very helpful and nice. I especially like their garden department. So many beautiful plants to choose from. This particular visit was for outdoor Christmas decorations. They had an awesome assortment. As usual we bought way too much, but now we have a Christmas Alligator keeping our Christmas Flamingos company in our front yard. Gotta love Floridian decorations!! read more

Ordered a washing machine , promised to deliver July 28th , no one came to my door , not even a call to let me know the delivery had been cancelled .called spoke to the manager Michael said they had the wrong address , even though i had the delivery address correct o. the copy they gave me , promised he would get back to me after speaking to them , nothing , called back 2 days later spoke with another person Mike said he would get back to me , nothing . I finally go to the store , they were going to get back to me to fix this issue . Someone finally called me to say that i had to wait another 10 days for delivery . i would think they would put me on the first of the list for their mistake , There's nothing i do wrong , the address was correct , they didn't have any excuse whatsoever , i cancelled my order , wasted a whole month , i've been a customer of Home Depot for years , will NEVER go there again ! Veterans and active duty service members should avoid HD. I bought over $390 worth of goods. Told I would get the same discount Lowe's provides 10%. Nope, I got 1%. When I complained I was told that not all items are eligible for the Military discount. What a crock. I've never been denied the full 10% from Lowe's no matter what the items. Navy buddy said he ran into the same thing. Got 2%. We vowed never again. Don't call yourself veteran friendly everywhere except at the cash register. read more

Would never recommend Home Depot nor their contractors to install anything in our home again!! Home Depot came out measure to order special windows. First was ordered incorrectly than when they came out they cut our Sheetrock of the office window to force their incorrect measured windows We never gave them permission to do so. They installed 5 windows that day. The bathroom window was placed in and they ordered wrong window. Came as a clear glass but ordered frosted for privacy reasons. The caulking they did on inside and outside of home is worse than a 4 year old would do . Caulk over tiles of new remodeled bathroom. All over outside structure of home. They broke window sills and never told us during installation process. When scheduled to come back to finish office window, they never showed up! We took off the day to be present. Than I wrote emails, change of project manager. Rescheduled, with Mark. mark came out to see prior installers work. Told my husband and I, the work would have NEVER passed inspection, he found broken windows, poor install not lined up correctly. Also yet again office window has now water coming in because sheet rock has been left open to moisture and wetness from outside. Home Depot was suppose to come out today as promised during the week when I followed up to take off more work. No show again!!!! So now I have 5 windows out on house, broke and guest can't stay in room because of smell and damage done. Seeking attorney to handle my case. Stress is it worth this!!! I visited this Home Depot in Riverview today for the first time. When i got to the counter i was told i could not get my military/veteran discount because my ID card has just expired. I showed her my VA card and she said that they would not accept it either because it was the older card that did not show my service connected disabilities. I have never had this happen to me before anywhere, ever. If you live in Riverview and are a Veteran do not support this location. Drive the extra distance to another location or visit Lowes where they appreciate your service. read more

I am a Home Depot person, not a Lowes! I fit right in going to Home Depot for my home care needs. I like how I do not feel like I have to dress up or change when I am going shopping. They have a great selection of stuff, shelves are always stocked and the workers are helpful. The prices are the same here as they are at Lowes 95% of the time. We like to get our christmas trees and plants for outside here. I feel that they last a little longer and are of better quality. The smell of Home Depots reminds me of childhood. read more
