This place has wonderful customer service. We came here looking for something to kill the mosquitoes for a backyard BBQ. The employee walked us to the section of the store with the insect repellents and explained each one to us. He did not have to take time to do this for us but he did. This is my referred contractor being arrested after calling the cops because he was so high he was talking to trees and acting unpredictably after the other two left him. I called Home Depot about this and the seemed not to care that multiple felony warrants and drug addicts is who they referred to me. Even the cops were joking about how these are Home Depot referred contractors. It took them 3 days, they used interior wiring outside and tried to fix damaged wires with twisting and electrical tape. Now I have to fix everything, out the money already spent for them, embarrassed due to all the neighbors witnessing this show for 3 days. Seems like Home Depot only cares about the contractor and not the end user. I'd go elsewhere and definitely not use their pro referral system. read more

I went to home Depot, and I'm female and someone actually looked me in the eye, and someone actually said can I help you. When I go to home improvement stores I'll be come invisible somehow my superpower wore off, they actually saw me. These people have the worst customer service. Came in looking for something specific and spent about 5 minutes looking for it on my own. Meanwhile, I spot a group of workers all standing around as if they were deciding on were to go to lunch. None of them acknowledged me or asked if I needed help looking for something (that just ticked me way off) and I'm pretty sure I looked lost...All the while ANOTHER worker who was walking behind also didn't acknowledge me; I finally turned around and ask where to find the product. Not the most pleasant experience concerning customer service and at least the person working the self-check out said hello to everyone ready to check out. With that being said I'll probably keep driving to the Garland location near Firewheel because at least they acknowledge their customers whether the customers need help or not. read more

I want to give a BIG Thank you to Ms. Christy and Mr. Ty. Lets start off with Ms. Christy. The entrance i came into i must of overlooked where the flat beds were located at. I stopped at her register to ask her where they were. She not only showed me but asked me to wait snd went and got one herself for me. Then she showed me where the wire shelves were at. Since it was right after Christmad they were rearranging things back to normal so it was a little hectic. Her amazing attitude and lovely spirit and smile through the mask she was wearing you could see. Her willing to HELP. Now to TY, I was standing at the key area looking at keys and walks by and asks how can i help you. He was so polite and sweet. Helpful and kind to make all 8 keys for me. Conversation about his travels and love for 49ers(sad) and not the Cowboys..lol. All while he is diligently making my keys. Far too many young generations have forgotten what it means for customer service. Christy and Ty have restored my hope in what customer service is suppose to be. This place Is conveniently located right off the highway and they have a great selection of plants in their nursery section. I needed the bottom pan of a cage tiled, and I thought I wanted ceramic tiles. This awesome associate dan (or david) in the flooring department, showed my the vinyl tiles and told me how these would be more flexible with movement and I wouldn't have to worry about breaking tiles, he was going to teach me on how to install them properly, but after seeing the apprehension on my face. He cut and installed them for me too. The customer service was exemplary, and I will always return to this store for any home improvement needs. read more

Strike two against this location and it's DIY Workshops......they don't exist as offered. Workshops at the Rowlett Texas location are the most disorganized we've experienced at any Home Depot. For the second time NOW we've driven to the Rowlett TX location near me to participate in the DIY workshops BOLDLY listed on both the location website AND entrance to the store. Each time the Staff scrambles to find out WHERE in the store the workshop is being held. This time not even the STORE MANAGER new....he didn't know and ASKED ME "whats the name of the workshop ?"  The cashiers didn't know, service desk didn't know and the one guy in the MANAGER thought would know WAS GONE TO LUNCH......REALLY ! Stop wasting our time and gas Rowlett Home Depot.  If you can't organize the workshops properly then stop offering them. read more

Horrible service at the Rowlett, TX location. I was looking for an industrial floor fan. There were 2 that looked identical but were $45 and $70 dollars. I asked for assistance and when someone finally came to help me, she didn't know so se went and got another sales associate to help me. They did not know what the difference was in the fans. Both boxes were already opened so I asked if we could just plug them in to see the difference and I was told no. I said I didn't want to pay $30 more for a fan if it was the same and that I would go to Lowes and the sales people said "Ok, bye". I will not waste my time going to this Home Depot again. read more

I went to Home Depot looking for an item that showed in-stock online. I got to the store and the associates looked but couldn't find the item. Eventually they said that I would have to go to another store to get it because they did not have the item (even though the website said they had 9 in-stock). I wish Home Depot had offered a discount or something for the trouble of having to drive to another store. I went to another Home Depot to get what I needed but that was additional time and gas money spent all because Home Depot's website didn't reflect what's really in store. read more

On Tuesday, August 16th, delivery associates with Daryl Flood delivered a dishwasher I purchased through Home Depot. Upon leaving my house, my Dewalt impact driver was taken from my counter-top. Initially, it was claimed as an accident because they use similar tools to mine. My impact driver had my initials written on the front top part of the tool approximately 1 inch in size, in black permanent marker. After several days of communication with the driver of the crew, he returned my impact driver that he received from another associate with my initials being mostly removed along with the serial number label partially removed. My original battery, also containing my initials marked on it, was not returned. I was given a similar battery that has obvious wear and tear markings. This no longer made the taking of my property an accident. Once one of the associates tried to remove my initials, it became theft. I have been in contact with a supervisor to try to replace the battery with a new one since my battery was not returned to me. The best answer given to me was there is no evidence of it being taken, kept, or defaced by any delivery associate. The supervisor said since my drill and a battery was returned to me, he could do nothing more than talk to his employee to ensure something similar does not happen in the future. I will very likely not be purchasing another appliance through Home Depot since they contract out to companies with thieves for employees. read more

Yesterday, June 19th, 2018 my husband and I went to Rowlett Home Depot to find out why we were not notified by phone by the person who was supposed to come measure our house for venetian blinds. When we arrived and went to the back of the store we discovered that due to employee call ins that day we would have to wait for someone to help us. We patiently waited and the person that came and went out of his way to assist us without once uttering a complaint was Gary. It turned out to be a lengthy and involved problem but Gary remained devoted to solving our problem. He stayed with us until we checked out at customer service. I will always look for Gary if I need anything at Rowlett HD. He is the best! read more

While at Home Depot in Rowlett today, my son and I were shopping for a lawn mower. The chosen model was in a box on the upper rack which would require a lift to get it down. An employee came over (Lew), and after a couple minutes of standing there asking multiple times "which one?", there was the discussion of which lift would better serve the purpose. This person walked away and we never saw him again. Minutes later another guy and a very slim younger guy stood at the end of the aisle and the older guy was was telling the younger one that there's someone that needed a lawn mower brought down, I heard them and waved at them and said that was us. The older man nodded at me then proceeded to tell the younger guy that he didn't want to do it, and both walked away. After 1 minute or 2 more, so we left that store and shopped at another HD in Garland. It would not surprise me to see the Rowlett store close down if that's how they treat customers!! read more

I have shopped at Home Depot in the Dallas/Richardson, TX area for many years. I recently moved to Rockwall, TX and shop the local HD most of the time (and they are helpful most of the time), however, in completing the many projects in my new home, on occasion, I have been in the Rowlett area and stop at that HD. They have ALWAYS been attentive, helpful and have NEVER failed to help me. They always go above normal service to 110%. I only wish they weren't 15 miles from my home as I would shop there always. read more

On November last year I went to this Home Depot store to get a refrigerator and stove I want to have them before Christmas but the appliances I like weren't in the store (on stock) therefore the store had to order them. At first they told me that they will arrive at my house on December the 26th it was fine with me, but before the 26th they called a member of my family and told that they were calling me and my husband (they didn't) to let us know that the appliances will arrive on March 2017, but when they told us I already made the 1st payment (without having the appliances) I went to the store to talk to the manager about it. When I went to the register to asked for the manager a cashier gave me an attitude and told me to wait I did wait. Then, the cashier sent me with somebody else (the appliances sellers) I spoke to a very nice lady and explained her what was happening I told her that I wanted to cancel the order because I couldn't wait 3 more months I also told her that I had already paid the first payment she help me through the whole process, when I asked her about getting my payment back she told me that I had to call the credit people and I did, they sent me a check with the same amount as my payment, this lady was so helpful, but I did not like the idea of Home Depot about getting my appliances to late I wish they can do better next time and call me not somebody else and talk to their employees about being nice to customers. read more
