I was to have received a call from service in November and still have not received the call. At first they said they had the wrong number in their system. That supposedly was corrected but still no response. I went there on the recommendation of two other people who since have said they will not return do to treatment. They do not treat customers like they did when the original owner was alive. He would walk you thru minor repairs etc. Now it's come in and buy new as it's not worth fixing. If they don't change their ways, they will soon be lost to the big box stores. I know I won't go back and one of the people who raved about them before just bought a whole kitchen else where. After going back through all invoices, here's what happened: * Visit 1: $225 for a "drain line fix" that was never needed or actually fixed. The drain line is still set up exactly the same as when we moved in and has worked perfectly fine. We were even told to call a plumber, and the plumber confirmed there was no issue. * Same visit: $287 to replace a dryer belt (part #WE03X29897), which is a ~$10 part and a relatively quick repair. * Visit 2: After about an hour of diagnosing, the technician blew off a sensor and the washer immediately started working again. * Visit 3: After the washer was already functioning, we were then advised to replace the suspension rods ($155). Total paid was around $660. The main issue isn't just the price which is absurd for about 60-70 dollars worth of parts--it's that the problem wasn't correctly diagnosed from the start, and we were charged across multiple visits before arriving at a solution. There was also a repair performed that did not appear necessary. Being publicly called a liar instead of being asked for clarification was unprofessional, Rick. I also contacted the main office after these visits, and the pricing breakdown I shared previously came directly from them. They are well organized as well as the DVDs. You can't beat the pricing for hard cover books at $1.49 each. It wasn't until I left that I noticed I was charged $2.99 for a book and $4.99 for the Forest Gump DVD. These items had small stickers on the spine that I thought were hold overs from the person who donated the items. The other books were $1.49. The children's book I purchased was only 49 cents. I will be back because this is next door to one of my favorite ice cream shops!

Empty jars that candles came in .. for 3.99 each. YEP... completely empty clear glass jars that used to have a candle in it. Some even with the old label still on them and they are selling them for 4 bucks a piece! GEE I wonder how much you could sell a Tomato sauce jar for? I hope they have an explanation for this and please since I cant imagine that they could explain it.. I hope they have someone go through their shelves and price items like they are not on dope. MY PLAN moving forward Ive ALWAYS donated to Salvation army with $$ with household goods and by shopping there. Im going to start donating to smaller thrift stores that are not trying to match new store prices. There are Thrift stores that continue to do the work locally.. sell their donated items at a sensible profit without overpricing everything and treat their senior and veteran communities with a respectful discount one day a week. I have bought furniture from there four times now for 4 separate rooms, and I've been treated right every single time. Plus, pay 53 bucks down, 90 days same as cash (or something similar.) You can't beat it. I had issues with my living room furniture, and there was a discrepancy with my warranty, and they made it beyond right - IN 2 DAYS!! They got me better furniture, and they treated me like I was family. Between Ashton and Alma, I couldn't recommend either of them any more than what I do right now. Do yourself a favor and go visit them. It is well worth your time. Buy the Five-Year warranty, it's between $200 and $250 for everything that you buy in total (for or a single transaction, i.e.. couches, loveseats, chairs, tables, everything, ALL FOR THE $200 - AND IT COVERS EVERYTHING -).
