Great place to buy discounted and lower price building materials for home. Also has lots of Christmas trees, holiday and household items. I got chicken wire here which was about $10 cheaper than other big stores around the area. Make sure to get the paper at the customer service so you can send in your rebates that are on the bottom of your receipt. read more

****BEWARE THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR STORE RETURN POLICIES**** First of all I was treated rudely, suspiciously and disrespectfully from The moment I walked back in the store with my return. I needed to purchase a carpet cleaner, a space heater and a powerful air purifier for my home. I spoke with the employee and asked about the return policy on the items at checkout. I was assured that I had 90 days to return the items for a refund of the purchase back to my card. The carpet cleaner was very lackluster and not any better than the one we already had and the space heater did not heat anywhere close to the description on the box. Because I was told that I had 90 days to return I did not make it a priority. When I went to return I was told the space heater was a "seasonal item" and therefore I could only receive a store credit. As far as the carpet cleaner I was told because I used it they would not refund the money back to my card and gave me a store credit. This was after they initially said I couldn't return it at all because it had been used. How will I know if the item I purchase meets my needs if I can't use it. I had used it twice very briefly and gave it a good try before I knew that it would not meet my needs. Very disappointed and I enjoyed supporting a regional business instead of Lowe's and Home Depot but I am forced to purchase my large budget items somewhere that will give reasonable return terms. read more

this is the absolute worse place. Customer service is a negative zero. We rented a truck to pick up toliet with our order number. The manager in pickup was clueless and claimed it was not there after I received confirmation it was there under both of my name and contractor name. Incompetency at its finest. She said that the online order confirmation is not the same as in the store. BTW we were their from out of town. I the called back and after being on hold forever the so called manager Crystal Christie something hung on me before I could say hello. She she did not but she did. Awful customer service! I made a routine stop after spending thousands on a deck package, to simply replace a few boards that were not correct. Terrible! Contractors' desk sent me to yard gate, yard gate sent me to contractors, contractors sent me to customer service, customer service sent me back to the yard gate, who would let me in, but wouldn't let me leave. I had to leave my vehicle unattended in the yard and walk all the way back to the customer service desk to pay for 3 boards, and the gate girl still questioned my purchase before letting me leave. A simple exchange took me 1 hour and 10 minutes on a Saturday. Absolutely awful! I will not be back for anything! read more

Matt, Eric, Darian, and Cheri are the managers that run the store with terrible customer service. I ordered cabinets from them that came damaged 3 times. They had no answers for my questions and treated my wife and I poorly. Shop at your local hardware or go to Lowes. The state street saginaw store should be avoided like the plague. RUN! read more
