Every single time I've gone in there and asked for help, the employee treats me as if I'm putting them out. They have a thing for just telling you they don't have something without even taking a second to check their inventory. Today I went and two males were sitting around in the flooring department. Told me "we don't carry that here, ma'am." And went about their business. Why was I able to look online and find it myself in the store?? It would have taken him two seconds, but instead he wanted to keep talking about his weekend to his coworker. So unprofessional. This Home Depot has the worst costumer service of any Home Depot, or any hardware store for that matter, which I have ever seen. In the future, I will drive out of my way and go somewhere else. Spent about 4000 in paint in about two weeks and 20k plus for the year. So I get to the desk today and nicely ask the older gentleman who if it was just him today and he tells me we've spoiled customers with extra people and doing it fast. You're going to have to wait.... when you get a haircut you have to wait. Then went on to ask me how to spell armadillo. I will NEVER buy paint here again. Not very impressive experiences, but this store does seem to harbor some hidden talents, their attic ladder kits were a "step" above the competition . The hardware department has an offering of some better quality tools that competition does not carry. Paint department, most notably Behr, is a great and reliable product that even many of the untrained "paint baristas" have difficulty fouling up in mixing. I was enjoying everything here at Home Depot until I needed to get a common nut for my bike, but when I asked the older man that works in that department he was being rude to me and not even telling me which nut to grab, he just continued to say " that one " and then when I pointed to it, he said " yeah that one you just pointed to " in a rude manner. Then when I told him that the thing he told me about wasn't even a lock nut, he rudely said " well then what do you need because that's a lock nut ". It wasn't a lock nut, it was washer. Then I showed him a picture because I guess he doesn't know what a lock nut is, then he said " we don't have any in that size ". That was a lie because online they have it and after some looking around, I found it. Just had custom-made shutters from Rockwood Shutters at Home Depot installed in our home today (2 large windows and 1/narrow window beside the front door). They were installed in about an hour and are absolutely beautiful. Online order for curbside pickup. Received an email letting me know my order was ready a little less than an hour later. Nice! Instructions for curbside seemed simple. Call a number and say "Curbside Pickup". First attempt said to wait while they transferred me. Static for about 3 minutes no problem. Called back again stated curbside pickup and after about 6 rings a woman picks up. She was blowing and sighing, obviously not in the mood. She let me know they'd be out to give me my order but didn't provide any directions, like where to pull up etc. Just a bad attitude and customer service all the way. I know this is a hard time, I cant even imagine how many people have come to the store with time on their hands creating a harder work envibut if a customer is kind to you return that kindness and if they aren't you do your best. If she isn't happy QUIT! There are a lot of people who need jobs while your being put out about having to answer the phone at yours. Ended up having to go inside and I must say most employees we interacted with were polite and said hello. No one asked if we needed anything but we knew where we needed to go. read more

Thia Home Depot store was well stocked and clean. I was surprised to see that they had all their Christmas decor up already! What happened to Halloween and Thanksgiving? Couldn't find any Halloween decorations except a few lighting options. As expected the staff at Home Depot were very attentive and helpful finding what we needed. Parking is ample and close by. TERRIBLE customer service!!! Poor computer system order procedures-was submitted several times. Was unable to use gift card on order. I asked for coupon or small discount from mailer I saw another customer use for the inconvenience and was rudely denied. Customer Service does not exist at this location. You could be looking for something and they just pass you by, no greeting of any sort. Bad experience all around! From the moment I entered with no greeting to asking an associate a question, only to have to wait for an answer because he was on his cell phone. ( no, it was not a Home Depot phone and yes I know the difference). I happened to ask an associate if they sold the pieces of wood on a pallet and he had to ask another associate if they did. We walked up to the second associate and he asked him, but He didn't answer. He was speaking to someone else who was not wearing an apron but, telling him what needed to be done in the department. The individual not wearing an apron turns and Rudely stated they didn't sell it and continued talking to the second associate. Usually I wouldn't post negative post, but coming from someone who worked for Home Depot in the past and knows that customer service is their priority other than safety, it was a surprise this even took place. I walked through multiple departments and passed up many associates, only to be greeted by two! They were having their own conversation, but took the split second to greet and acknowledge a customer. Rude customer service agents (Home Depot @1604 and Bandera Rd). Forced me to take cash for a return of a more than 300 dollars that I purchached using a debit card, even after I showed them the transaction on my bank account statement, the manager still said that I MAY have used cash and that she is not an IT person, and goes by what the computer says. The customer service agent insulted me and said that if I didn't like the offer I should take my return and leave. I really wonder how HD would keep such people with them. Went to buy something before labor day but they would not recognize my veteran status. Despite the state of Texas having a veteran designation on my license. Texas did the due diligence but they only recognize active and retired military. They don't recognize veterans. Not great especially right before Memorial day. And Lowes does recognize Texas veteran designation on the drivers license. read more

I always shop at Lowe's but my father asked my to check Home Depot for a washer and so I did as he asked. I found an equal type washer and then asked I could use my fathers Military ID and they stated he would need to be present!! I explained that its cold outside, his age and that he's a WW11 Veteran and that my drivers license has the same last name so what's the problem. I also told them that they could call my father if they think I stole this or whatever!! The lady said she would not call anyone and again stated he would need to be present. I said that this is crazy and you willing to loose a sale plus Lowe's never has a problem doing what I'm asking!! Well long story short, she wouldn't use my fathers ID, she didn't care if she lost the sale so I bought it at Lowe's because these people care about customer service and understand that all of our Veterans as well as Active Duty men and women deserve this because they did or are doing their part for us to enjoy America. read more

I just went into the Home Depot at Bandera Road and 1604. It is 4:30 PM and there is not a single checker out. When I tried to check out at customer service I was directed to the empty checkout center. You have to self check your purchases. There's no one to help you carry the heavy stuff out to your car. This place just gets worse everytime!!! Got our vinyl flooring in finally only to find out that they shorted us 3ft in width and only cut us 8 sqyd instead of the 14 sqyd we ordered. We also ordered 16 shelves which 9 came in severely damaged....then if you want to reach them on the phone, plan on spending 20+ minutes waiting for someone just to answer the phone line! Ordered a window, and paid for install - it has been almost a month and I still don't know what the status is on the window or WHEN it will be installed + I only have a board protecting the hole where the window would be. Paid for flooring estimate and received the quote AFTER I called to see where it was. I told them that I have a few questions and was told that they would get back to me. Haven't heard a thing. I have followed up with them 4x now on the flooring and receive the same answer - they will get back with me. Now I am being told that the quote has expired so I will need to pay them to do another one..............NO! read more

This used to be a fantastic store. There used to be friendly employees who would simply help you with a smile. Now, there are not as friendly and the smiles are gone. I would hope that lost sales improves this story for future customers--I'm done with it. read more

Put in an online order two days ago. Simple order - four items. Have not received any kind of update on the status as of this morning. Called the store and navigated through the awful interactive voice response system. Finally got routed to the service desk. After about two minutes of ringing with no answer, I finally gave up. The poor reviews for this location are very accurate. Very poor and rude customer service. The management is beyond horrible. There is this one manager named Dex. No idea how this guy is a manager, this guy has no skills. He can never help, never offers solutions, and is always in a hurry to dismiss you. On one occasion he told me all sales are final and that product is supposed to be dirty. I recently found out that he answers his very own survey reviews. So he can treat people badly and if you fill out a survey on him, he's the one that answers it. read more
