How can you rate a home improvement store that has almost everything you can imagine and has friendly customer service? I am also so glad to see that they are checking receipts now before you leave to cut down on theft, which helps keep our prices low. You will be met with eye rolls, audible sighs and a more shrugs than an out of towner being asked for directions. The only reason why I'm not giving this place 1 star is because of the clean aisles. Redmond Store: The trouble with the Redmond HD is that they only carry mainstream sales items. If you want anything unusual they probably don't carry it (i.e. they have lamps and lighting fixtures but no shades or they have 2" pvc conduit but no fittings). Contractors don't want to make more than one stop when buying items needed for a project, so they go to a builders supply or an electrical supply that has everything. Time is money and going several places to "fill up your cart" doesn't hack it. If you want to get some paint, tools or standard plumbing item they're fine. They also seem to have plenty of room for seasonal items such as mechanical Witches or electric Santas - but no small base Christamas lighting bulbs, just strings of led lighting. read more

Although automation isn't always better--for example, I've always had better results with the staff-serviced key machine compared to the painfully slow kiosk now located at the front of the store--checkout does seem faster, and tap-to-pay is a fantastic addition. Just wanted to pick up my carpet cleaner and had a very unpleasant interaction with the guy working that area, his name was Rodney. He had so much attitude. Like he hated his life and was being chained there to work. I was so nice and he kept giving me such a mean passive aggressive attitude. I thought there was only one Home Depot in the Aroura area so I was very appreciative of the associate who let me know while I was waiting for my curbside pickup order. I bought some laminate flooring online the order got lost twice, once it arrived i loaded all the boxes my self but then was told that I could not take those, coz it was not my order, it was the exact same product, but the manager said that it was not without even checking the boxes to see that it actually was, he said that I did not understand. Ok, so I waited over 40min for someone to go, and surprise! it was the exact same thing that I had loaded my self, but they could not even check a paper. Tap to Pay was introduced in the US in 2014. Apple Pay was launched in 2014, Google Pay in 2011. It's 2024 and this company still thinks it's 1999. Home Depot's 2023 profits were $51B. We have been trying to call Home Depot Bitter Lake for over a half hour now and there are no answers. We have tried to go to different departments, specific extensions, etc. Word is out that Home Depot can't keep people hired nor hire new people. Employees are either leaving (retiring in some instances) or have been let go. Many many companies are having problems hiring reliable people but as my own workplace says you do what you have to to take care of customers. Do not fool yourself into thinking online order pickup will be convenient at this location. What a joke. Pro Services was closed on a Sunday and so we were sent to customer service. We stood in line for 20 min as they took a whole line of returns before anyone even looked our way. Both of us asked 3 people if we were in the right place to pickup an online order and were told yes but nothing more and there was no offer to help us. Lots of employees were available when we were in the aisles so that was an anomaly and the only good part of the excursion to man cave building central. Total time getting things in the various aisles: 12 minutes. Total time waiting in line to pickup online order and checking out: 25 minutes. Unacceptable. read more

Tried to buy some box fans for the jobsite. The website says there are 300 in store yet 4 staff members tell me they are out of season and thus unavailable. A competent Mgr. found some finally. Sanita in appliances is great -- she's really the only thing nice about this process. I ordered a washer and dryer 6 weeks ago. 2 weeks ago the dryer shows up, and they cancel the washer (apparently not enough were delivered). So I paid an additional $900 to reorder the washer with the understanding that there'd be a refund on the way. Today the delivery people told me they couldn't deliver because the wrong zip code was on the ticket. It was literally the next door zip code, they couldn't have been more than 3-4 miles away. Apparently they also cannot update the zip code so they cancelled the order. I went back and bought a washer a third time, due to be delivered in 1 week. The price of the washer had gone up $250 dollars and she had to get a manager to set the price at what I had paid the last two times. As for the refund, for whatever reason it was pending my delivery today, which didn't happen. So net total, I have paid nearly $3,000 for a $1,000 washer that hasn't shown up yet... $4k out of pocket total including the dryer. I'm frustrated. Wife is telling me to just cancel the order. I just want my refunds and washing machine already. read more

This is when your Attorney step in to Settle your Claims. I have my Roof done 4 years ago by there contractor. At first when the roof was complete than came the rain I have them come out to fix it's several times. Now After 4 years my roof leaks called them and they said they don't do roof anymore and tell me to find a contractor and they pay for it. Finds 8 contractors all said the same things the roof put on not in accordance house code, sealing was poor and the roof CANNOT be REPAIR. Give them all information that my roof need Replacement Not Repair. 7-8 months after my roof Claim not Settle. I'm about to file Lawsuit. They had just received a shipment (from the looks of several full aisles, cardboard piled up between) and were well-stocked with more than what we needed. Staff were friendly and available when we needed them, taking the time to walk us to the aisles and show us ideas, make recommendations, offer suggestions when appropriate. They have so much, and can help with nearly every project you have in mind. read more

Generally i like visiting Home Depot and have always had a good experience, good range of products, lots of inventory in stock, friendly and knowledgeable staff. This review is specific to this particular location (Bitterlake) which we visited on 7/26/2022. Service was appalling and we just couldn't get anybody to come help us, despite visiting customer service and having them request floor staff assistance. We waited 25mins for somebody to come unlock a corded chainsaw, then flat out refuse to help when i asked if they could come over with me to the power tools aisle because i didn't want to have to wait another 25mins for somebody to come help me out over there; she refused to, said she was busy and that i'd find somebody when i got over there. Well it took another trip to customer service and a request over the speakers before anybody came to help me out (and that was 15 mins). The member of staff seemed to have zero basic knowledge of tools (tried to hand me a drill when i was looking for a circular saw), didn't seem to know how to operate his handheld device to search for the product number i gave him (the specific product page on the HD app with all the SKU info etc that he needed), didn't seem to care about helping us (called the service desk for somebody to come help and walked off), couldn't communicate due to language difficulties, and generally IMHO had no business working in a place like HD. Despite having a few items waiting for us in the cage for when we checkout (ugh, that's a pain too) we just got so frustrated at the poor service, left our stuff there, and walked out (just like the staff did to us), placed our order on Amazon and had thousands of dollars of power tools arrive at our house two days later. Sure, i'll prob visit HD again but i don't think it will be this particular store...why bother. read more

I had an unexpectedly pleasant experience at Home Depot today. First, the Customer Service desk tracked down someone in the plumbing department to help me locate the grade of pipe that I wanted, which I was unable to locate myself because it was hiding behind a different grade. The person who helped me out, Hao, was great. He dug out the pipe grade I was looking for and then cut it to my custom length. Then he helped me at the self-service check-out. I left with exactly what I came for, even though things did not look too good when I first arrived! I don't usually have such a good experience at big-box stores, but today's experience was encouraging! read more

I have been shopping at this center for about 2 years now and thought to write a review. A lot has changed during this period. Lots of employee turn over, changes in return policy, locking up more and more items due to shoplifting, presence of armed guard, etc. Employees are generally nice but mostly not knowlegeable and untrained. Kathleen in the paint department is consistently rude and not helpful. She ignores your presence and if you can get her attention, she tells you that she is busy and cannot help you for another 30 minutes or so. Once I needed a paint tool that was on the upper shelves and she said, it requires a special equipment to bring it down and I cannot help you with it. And walked away. A ladder is all that was needed. I was pleasantly surprised the first time Nader in the hardware department asked if I needed help. He would go above and beyond to help every time I ran into him even if I had questions about other departments. He was my go to person but sadly I learned that he no longer works there. Overall, this is your typical HD store but a bit more strict due to its specific location -- high crime and shoplifting. read more

We did a kitchen remodel with Home Depot back in 2020. Horrible experience. They never finished, we're still missing a face board that was promised to us (wrong one was ordered 4 times). Beyond that, they ordered the wrong products dozens of times including wrong cabinets, replacement parts, etc. Contractors were sent to our house with zero instructions and no heads up to us, so none of us had any idea what was supposed to be done. Home depot takes no ownership in managing the project. Our dishwasher is out again. I spoke to the store manager who said they would help, but the underling who called us insisted that this is our problem and not theirs. THEY BROKE THE DISHWASHER -- it worked fine prior to the remodel. The amount of stress the process has caused us is ridiculous. I would pay double to never deal with Home Depot again. I opted for curbside pickup after having my items shipped to store. I knew they would come in two boxes and when I came to pick up I checked with the curbside employee to make sure there were two packages as I couldn't see what was place in the trunk and she nodded. When I got home and popped the trunk I noticed just one. To make sure there weren't two items squished in one box ( as it was from 3rd party vendor) I opened it in my driveway and sure enough only one. I called the store and was able to speak to Jasmine Cordova the Special Services Supervisor and she promptly checked and recognized the error and was very apologetic. I went back to the store and again used the curbside service. She met me there and again was very apologetic and gave me a card for future discount. It is very rare nowadays to find great customer service and honestly large corporations that you expect decent customer services now aren't. So It was very refreshing to see that the people who work at this location are that sincere even for a minor mistake that can happen. I really appreciate Jasmine's sincerity! read more

I'm very unhappy with the third party delivery service (knuckleheads). Knuckleheads delivered my new dishwasher but said they couldn't remove the old one because my hardwood floor was 3/4", and I needed to cut it. Knuckleheads unboxed my new one and left it with me. A few days later, before I was about to cut my floor, my friends came over and easily removed the old dishwasher in a couple minutes. Knuckleheads returned and said the new dishwasher was not compatible with my kitchen layout. I stupidly believed them and tried to return it. But HD won't accept an unboxed new dishwasher as a return; only exchange. Bad news for me since knuckleheads said it wasn't compatible. A plumber came over and installed the new dishwasher in an hour. The knuckleheads, what it boils down to, just give up too easily and also give BS answers when they don't know how to do something. Instead of saying they aren't trained for my type of install, the knuckleheads say my washer "isn't compatible". HD appliance customer service people are okay, some are great. But the knuckleheads (third party delivery) are terrible. Bad communicators, lazy and possibly even liars. That brings the score down. read more

We were helping my daughter put together her new bedframe. One of the screws would not go in. It turns out they forgot to tap that particular hole to receive a screw. I took the part and the screw to this Home Depot. The person in tools determined the size of the screw and pointed me to the appropriate tap and tap handle. I successfully used these and we were able to finish assembling the bed frame. Excellent customer service! read more

I think do not even deserve a one start. Bought a dishwasher and does not work. I am still waiting for them to come in a fix. It was been one month. Well do not complain to them because they will just hang up the phone. Well do not leave a message because they will not get back to you. They are the #1 worst customers service. Conveniently phone data service does not connect at that location so it's hard to double check online yourself and I basically had to demand that they look on their website to confirm I wasn't just making stuff up but it didn't matter because they didn't have it or anything of the sort in the store. The employee basically said "yeah, they lie on the website often." Ordering the specific thing you need online is a bad idea too. I ordered 10 overpriced tiles and 2 came broken, 1 chipped. Never again! Total lack of service. Contact information is nearly non-existent. Ordered window blinds in early July from Bitterlake HomeDepot in Seattle. It took three weeks for someone to come out and measure and now six weeks later we've heard nothing from HomeDepot. The only contact number they have on the website is an automated system. Tried the number and prompts several times and it just rang and rang with never an answer. Called, asked for a manager and then was put on hold for five minutes. Manager finally said our window blinds had arrived and she acted surprised we had not been called with the information or to schedule installation. She said they would check and gave me another number to call. The guy who answered that, said it was not his area. So, I was transferred again and was placed on hold. A few minutes later the system just sent my call to an automated survey about HomeDepot service. We've used HomeDepot before with acceptable results. But, this is beyond bad. More than six weeks have gone by with no updates. Worse, our credit card was charged on July 12 for blinds we haven't received. I see there are plenty of one star ratings - so here's one more. Save your money and time. Try Lowes or a locally based store. HomeDepot will disappoint. read more

Like any other usual home depot. Was clean and everything seemed to be in place. Just be a little more observant at the checkout, I bought a bag of potting mix which had the price tag of $9.97 and I was initially quoted for ~$11 at checkout; I had to bring to their attention for the price mismatch. It was rectified but the staff didn't seem to be apologetic at all for the mix-up. It would have been great to know that they care for their customer and this is not a common occurrence. read more

This is the ONLY location I will go to as a single woman in my 30's. I am in the construction field, and the service is why! The staff is knowledgeable, quick to be helpful and goes out of their way to be helpful! Lynn is the best cashier and she has known my father for years now, and she has always treated us with the best service! We know that working with the public isn't easy, but she is so good at her job! She's solved issues, been able to help with anything that we have needed, she is funny, remembers our family! Even when offered to go to another check-out, not only myself but my entire family, and all the other people who I know strongly prefer this location always would rather go through her line! She is worth it and gives you the best service all while you are probably going to be able to get your purchase done as quickly if you went to another lane but you get that personal service from a large store! I came to this store after a disappointing trip to Lowe's right next door (See my previous review). I think I made the right decision coming here, granted, I have no choice. Jake turned my negative experience into a positive one. He gave me tips on how to install window blinds, cut the window blinds for me, and encouraged me that it's simple enough to do it myself. He went above and beyond and I couldn't be any happier. The whole experience took less than 20 minutes, thank you Jake. Sketchy. Let me give you three examples. Every time I go here, the staff encourage me to sign up for a Home Depot credit card, and every time I tell them I already have one, to which they reply that you can/should open multiple. Sounds like something Capitol One (or whoever supplies the HD credit cards) should know about. Second, I've had an ongoing saga with this store losing stuff I ordered online and selected for in-store pickup. How do you lose a whole garden shed? Where did it go? Finally, I ordered a new dishwasher here and went to pick it up. Two high school kids tried to load it up for me sideways when it had large, clearly visible warnings marked on every side to keep one end pointing up. Until the general DGAF attitude from the staff changes I won't go here unless I have to. read more

In a nutshell-- They broke through my ceiling while fixing a roof that they poorly installed in the first place, and gave me bad customer service both before and after that. The whole story-- Our new house has a Home Depot roof, installed 3 years ago. Our home inspection noted peeling tiles and failed sealant on the roof, as well as lack of proper ventilation. (which already is a bad sign since it's so new) I properly transferred the warranty to my name. I received the paperwork telling me the warranty had officially been transferred. BUT I had to spend hours on the phone and email, just trying to convince Home Depot that I had the warranty in my name, even though I kept providing them with all the warranty info, and I HAD A LETTER FROM THEM TELLING ME THE WARRANTY WAS IN MY NAME. After two months of trying to get all of this settled, I finally got them to believe me. When they sent someone out to take a look at the roof he found a whole page worth of problems with it. (Keep in mind this is a Home Depot roof) Yesterday, the roofers came and spent a few hours on the roof and left without giving me a receipt (I know I didn't pay for it, but would've liked an official document detailing the work they did to keep on file). 5 minutes after they left I went into my toddler's room, and THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE CEILING (about 9 inches diameter), and debris and dust covering the floor. I immediately called the roofers, got the woman in charge, and told her how upset I was with this. The roofers had never been in my house or attic, how was there suddenly a hole in my ceiling?? She never once apologized to me, only said "Oh that's weird." I called her manager and got the same kind of response. No apologies, no soothing of my nerves, just kind of saying "huh." They sent someone to fix it the following day (today), which is taking all day and keeping my toddler out of his room-- very difficult for his sleep schedule, and very difficult for my husband and me. To be fair, I am glad they sent someone to fix it free of charge, but that doesn't really make up for the fact that they broke it in the first place. I have repeatedly asked for an email detailing what exactly was done on the roof, what was supposedly fixed, and what might have caused the ceiling hole. As of now I still haven't gotten that email. I don't trust that the roof was fixed correctly. I certainly will never schedule any more maintenance with Home Depot, or buy anything from any of their stores again. read more
