I purchased a washer a week ago. It was promised to be delivered last Friday. It got rescheduled to Tuesday, then Wednesday, then Thursday, then Monday and now back to Friday. Each time I was assured it would get delivered. They basically do not stock anything nor own the 3rd party delivery service on their own sales. The data only updates in their system once a day at 3pm. I get apology after apology but frankly nobody can give any answers. Honestly. Home Depot makes me itch as I am not Barbra the builder however this location was clean, well lit and the employees were super friendly with assisting me locate what I was looking for. I felt like I had my own personal assistant to walk me through what I needed. The variety here was great and I even loved their variety of flowers which I purchased one for my home. This Home Depot sucks! Never any employees to help, it seems they all leave at 8PM even though the store is open until 10PM!! They over charged me on 2 items. The self checkout person, by the name of Joy couldn't be bothered to help customers because she was too busy dancing in the aisle!! I ordered for curbside and waited about 20 mins just to have to call in and the rep inform me that the person "called out" and when I waited to speak to a manager I was on hold no one came. So I had to get in and get in line and wait even longer. The customer service rep named Pam up front was really nice. but again 30 mins for curbside and then another 15-20 just to get my items. Pretty bad with kids sitting in the hot son. A 10 min trip turned into frustration, and defeated the purpose of curbside. I understand 3 people called out and I'm trying to sympathize because somethings happen out of our control but you have to think ahead and put the customer first. This location is 3 min from my gym and I'm painting the exterior front door this weekend so yelp I need paint. When I arrived in the paint dept, there were no customers. 1 associate was putting up a return. So I started looking at the various paint brands and I remembered I bought Behr on a previous project so Behr it is. Another associate named Phil asked if he could help me. I told him about the project and he suggested Behr Premium Plus Ultra. This particular paint is stain blocking paint & primer in one. How cool is that! I only needed a 1/2 quart for the exterior door and frame. Total $18.87 plus tax so $20. Whether it is working on my house, car, bikes, computers or whatever, I am a big time DIY type of guy, so as one might imagine I grew up playing with Erector sets and Legos. This is why I love this place, Home Depot offers just about everything to work on any given project that I need to complete. I see others had some issues here, so I consider myself lucky. The duluth hwy store does not have a tool renting department, so I visit this store usually when I need to rent some macho man tools and the employees who I have been in contact with in the tool rental department are friendly and helpful whenever I had questions or issues. This store is not as big as other locations, so you might want to check online before visiting this store to make sure they have whatever you are looking for. The only people here who I noticed were not as friendly were those outside at the checkout in the lawn and garden, but it really all depends on the time and day that one visits this store. Of course though, if someone is not happy with their job, they need to quit and do something else. If you need to rent some tools or rent a truck or van, this is a good home depot location. As for the other departments, I am unsure. I was at the location to purchase two Aquatic Coronado right drain bath tubs. I found two of them and they were damaged. The he manager offered discount. I wanted to find if any of the stores has the tubs in better condition. checked online and it shows Norcross Jimmy Carter location have 10 of them. the pro desk lady assured me she will call the store and update me. She did called me after an hour and informed that the store does not have any bathtubs that I am looking for. next day I drove up to the store and 4 of them there. I usually don't like to review places I've only been a few times and seeing that I frequent this place pretty often I felt the need to let the public know.. so here it goes. I like this particular location of Home Depot because the service here seems to be attentive and the staff really appears like they enjoy being here. Home Depot of Snellville on Scenic Hwy has good quality tools hardware to help most do it yourself folks get their job done, and get it done right. For those times that you may have mistakenly purchased something you actually didn't need, their customer service counter and staff are usually very friendly and the return process seems fairly simple and quick. There was actually one time I had some LED light bulbs that kept dying quickly on me, and I brought it the to management's attention. The manager on site heard my case and quickly resolved it by giving me a set of new ones, no charge. I guess he knew I was a regular or something bc I was blown away. In any case, I make it a note to get a lot of my tools and hardware from this location. Other positive points about this location is that their parking lot is big and they have a gardening section which is quite organized and easy to navigate of which their store in general is also. Electrical solutions, plumbing solutions, concrete, wood, plastic, rubber, Christmas and holiday solutions.. Home Depot of Snellville seems like they've got you covered. I also appreciate the fact they have self serve pay stations which makes the process for me quick and simple. One negative is they do not have Android pay or Apple pay compatibility yet but they are old school like that and that's fine for me. I went in to get a piece of chain, two eyelet bolts and two quick links to create a mechanical link between one of the eyelet bolts in the top of a gate and another connection to be set in concrete in the ground at just above ground level so I could connect both ends of the long chain (10 feet) in order to pull the gate back to vertical. Seemed like a simple problem. That was not to be the case. An elderly gentleman, very nice, cut me a length of chain that was to specs, then found the eyelet bolts which seemed OK. Finally we had to go to another aisle (why???) in order to find the quick links. At no time did the gentleman try to fit the pieces together to ensure they would work and I failed in my due diligence in not taking stuff out of their respective plastic coated packages to see if they actually would work. When I got home the chain would not pass through the too small gap in the quick link. OK, back to home depot to get 2 quick links with a larger gap. Got home and now the eyelets wouldn't fit. Finally did what I should have done - went to the Ace Hardware which is much closer to my home and staffed by people who really know what they are doing. There a very nice middle aged woman took all of the pieces, pulled a different type of quick link out of a bin (no plastic required) and the result was a system that works and is now holding my gate in the vertical position. I have had this kind of experience multiple times at HD and am done with them. From now on I will be going to Ace, and their service is way better, they don't seem to try to avoid making eye contact with customers. read more

I HIGHLY recommend you DO NOT work with the contracted help, especially JB Hunt Transportation. Its worth the drive to go further out just to avoid this location. Came in to buy a washer and dryer. Shocked to discover that the dryer doesn't come with a power plug. That's $20 extra. Imagine buying a TV or microwave. Then being asked "do you want a cord with that? It's extra". Then you need the exhaust pipe for the dryer for $25, then the rubber hoses for the washer for $25. I'm sure it's like that everywhere so I'm not dissing HD. I just have time to vent while I wait to buy these appliances. So when you see advertised prices for this stuff keep in mind there are other fees. Beats going to the ghetto laundromat like I've been doing for the last year. I sent my mower in to get repaired at this location. Stay far away from this store for repairs or anything regarding dealing with the store manager. They had my riding mower for over 2 years. They broke it and couldn't fix it after. They damaged the exterior all over and the manager offered me $200. What a joke. I told him I don't want money, I want my nice, almost new looking mower back the way I gave it to you. He said that's final and $200 is fair then would not answer any emails or calls from me. Went in to purchase a portable AC as the one at my house was not working. Checked their app to be sure the one I wanted was in stock. Sure enough it said they had two. Went in and started looking for the unit. I asked a salesman where they would be and he just pointed to front of the store and said by the registers. After going up front and looking, I could not find the unit just the price tag where it should be. Obviously they have been stored somewhere. I looked around for assistance and nobody was around. Finally, I went to a girl at the register and asked for help. She looked annoyed because I interrupted her playing on her phone and just told me to go back over there and she would call someone. Well nobody came after about 10-15 minutes so I found a guy working in hardware and asked him. He scanned the tag and said they had two in stock but he did t work that area so he wouldn't know where they would be. Instead of assisting me, he just told me to go find someone e in electrical. I finally found the employee in charge of electrical and we went to the location. He scanned the tag and said since it didn't have an exact location that he wouldn't have it even though there was suppose to be two left. He told me just to go to another store and find out if they had it. My wife and I just left our buggy of items there and walked out. It was obvious that these employees have either no training or regard for providing quality customer service. Very disappointed and I have always enjoyed shopping at different Home Depots. I have been shopping home depot for the last 10 years and have never experienced the level of service i received in May of 2020. I bought wood flooring from Charles in the flooring department on Saturday . On Tuesday i return to the store to collect my floor they only had half of what i paid for. I was very upset and waited until Charles came to work. He checked the inventory at other stores and found the matching floor ,he treated me like a customer should be treated and after having discussions with the store manager they made my delivery happened. Charles went out of his way the following day and collected the flooring from another store and delivered it to my home while still apologizing for the error and delay. Along with the store manager they made it happen. If you ever go to the floor department at the Scenic home depot ask for CHARLES. Rice who works in the Electric department is always very rude. He is very dismissive each time I've had any interaction with him. He keeps asking me to repeat myself over and over again (as if I don't speak English properly). I was looking for patio string lights last week and he did it again, asking me to repeat what I was saying multiple times. Only to tell me the patio string lights were around the corner. He pointed me towards the Christmas decor. I walked around for over 20 minutes not being able to find them. Asked multiple associates and they said Rice in the electric department would know. The last associate I asked told me to tell him to take me to the exact location. Which I did and he was very condescending after walking me to the isle "saying here they are" as he waved his hands around. It was no where near where he had pointed me the first time. After waiting quite some time in the flooring department, I walked down several aisles and found an employee named Oscar. Home Depot adopts new return policy that SLAPS LOYAL HOME DEPOT CUSTOMERS IN THE FACE! I have lived in Snellville longer than the Snellville Home Depot has been open. When the Home Depot opened, I immediately became a loyal customer. Over the past 26 years, I have purchased a Rigid table saw, a Rigid radial arm saw, a Dewalt trim saw, a freezer, a refrigerator, two lawnmowers, a gas powered edger, two backpack blowers, an Ego $400 battery powered blower, a $2000 backyard play house for my children, two pneumatic trim nail guns, a $1000 Husky tool chest, two cordless power drills, too many additional powered hand tools to count, a $2000 new front door, lumber, sheetrock, paint and bathroom fixtures to totally finish my basement, a beverage cooler and wine cabinet for an outdoor kitchen, and thousands of dollars of miscellaneous other home improvement items. Back in December I purchased 30 panels of Wainscoting to spruce-up my workshop. I miscalculated and purchased 5 panels too much. Today I went back to the Snellville Home Depot to return (FOR STORE CREDIT) the extra 5 panels ($92.65 total value). Home depot informed me that they could not accept my return unless I had my original receipt or the credit card on which I purchased the item(s). Unfortunately, the credit card I used in December had fraudulent activity on it over the Christmas holidays and my credit card company had to shut that card down and reissue a new card AND I did not have the original receipt. I was perfectly willing to accept a store credit since I had the need to purchase significantly more than $96 in new home improvement materials. NO ONE AT THE SNELLVILLE HOME DEPOT OFFERED ANY HELP OR SYMPATHY FOR MY SITUATION and basically said the my previous loyalty to Home Depot was of no value regarding this $96 RETURN FOR CREDIT!!! Who at the Home Depot Corporate office is the nut who is willing to loose magnitudes of loyal customers over this ridiculous new return policy? Obviously, the person who came up with this new policy needs to be taught the value of retaining loyal, high spending customers. HELP WANTED! I stopped by to pick up flowers but it was not to be. The first problem I had was just getting to the store. I turned at the intersection just to the south of the store and discovered on this side and at the rear of the store, there was no access. The roads that were once available have now been blocked and access is no longer available if you require access you must enter from north side and drive through the entire shopping center parking lot or enter directly from Scenic Highway. As I arrived to the store and approached the garden center end of the store, I got that strange "you don't want to shop here" feeling. This is an older store with an odd lay out. The garden area seemed a bit crowded and I did not really want to venture inside. I look around and inside the garden center and I see no employees. I see one older man who is loading his own sod and no he did not appear to be an employee. I decide that I do not want to have to hunt for employees and just save it for another day. I came in to buy the Weber Master Touch 22in grill. I found one that was on display. I asked if I was able to buy the one on display and I was told sure just grab it and drag it up to check out. The grill was bolted down by plastic. I asked another worker if he could unbolt it so I could take it to check out. He told me no we don't sell the displays. I wanted to speak to the manager but he went over and talked with him. I listened to the conversation and the manager specifically said if we wanted the the Display it was sold as is and he walked off. The worker never even relayed the message, he just walked to back. It's not that the people who works the aisles doesn't help you, it's more of the point that the store itself doesn't stock the store with the required people needed to help customers. Anytime I went for help from someone in the store trying to find an item, it's either they're busy or that area belongs to someone else. Then they will tell you I'll call someone to help you but yet it takes 10-15 minutes for someone to show up. I was highly disgusted that day as I was looking for a new sink for my kitchen and wanted to make sure the faucets purchased would match. The Home Depot at Snellville. Went there today around 8pm for a piece of wood which I needed cut into two 44 inch lengths. I got the piece of wood and eventually saw two attendants assisting a young woman, well, one was assisting the other was tagging along. Eventually, I asked if one of them can assist me, Mr. tagging along said, give us a minute. I went to cashier No. 1 and asked if someone from hardware can cut a piece of wood for me? off course Mr. tagging along immediately had time to assist me only to be told he is not certified to use the saw...then waltz in mr. gill, yes, I am home depot mr. gill, I can cut it for you. Wow! finally, I got to the saw and snellville home depot gill was nowhere to be found. apparently he saw an acquaintance on his way to the saw who was more important. By the time I saw mr. snellville home depot gill again the one working attendant had already cut the piece of wood for me. What differentiates Home Depot from the other place to me is the dimmer and less organized layout, and yes, as some other Yelper's have stated, the staff seems to be less available and helpful.
