I had the absolute best experience on 3/29/26 at 1:28pm at the customer service area by cashier Joshua and his manager which I'm so bummed to not remember his name. That manager went above and beyond for me after getting the dread information my gift card was fraudulent and whomever stole it used all my funds. He worked with me so I was still able to get the things I needed. His compassion and above and beyond problem solving was something you rarely see these days. I see why he's a manager and Home Depot is lucky to have him!! Thank you again manager if you happen to see this. This is now a core memory for me!! read more

We walked in and used the app to determine which aisle to get the desired product. The app showed we were in the North Spokane store but it kept on telling me where it e was in the Issaquah store. One of the employees, Rob, said this is because it's out of stock. He even told me which aisle it was in. There were boxes in stock. Big fail Rob. When we tried to checkout, one of the items wouldn't scan because of an invalid barcode. The last tried a number of things to no avail and so she called the manager. The manager then redid everything she did, in front of her. I called him on not trusting the employees and he shrugged his shoulders and said he has to make sure. He had to call his manager who then checked again and then provided a new sky, which didn't work. Eventually they decided to code in a price that was the website. This took 20 minutes. Overall, I'd say they have a staffing issue starting at the top of the branch. read more

Just spent 2500 on a new oven. Paid for delivery, installation and old stove removal. The delivery driver refused to deliver the oven point blank. They didn't like my driveway which has accommodated full size moving trucks. I am now in a fight to get my money back as they would not hold up their end of the bargain. DO NOT BUY LARGE items that might need delivery. You will pay for it and they will NOT deliver. As an update, after the manager reached out to us via the comment below, they did nothing to resolve the situation, just more platitudes. Poor customer service: I don't usually leave reviews... However my daughter and I went in to replace a manual water pump that I had bought there in the past. It said 4 were in stock in Kitchen/bath K9 Bay 3. The signage doesn't show K9. After looking where I thought it would be I asked a staff person and she told me it was only sold online. I showed her that the app and that there were 4 in stock. She sent us down aisle 37. Not there. Looked in front and asked a 2nd staff person. Sent us to aisle 34. Not there. Looked around some more and asked a 3rd staff person. He agreed with me that it should be on the end cap with the other bathroom plumbing supplies at the end of Aisle 35. A 4th staff person saw him looking and asked what we were looking for and went to end cap 35 and suggested a small hand siphon for petroleum products. I advised her that it was too small and wouldn't work for our situation. She then looked up the sku number on my phone and asked another staff person to look it up in their handheld inventory devices as hers wasn't on. She had obviously been on break but was kind enough to stop and try to help. The 5th staff member (Jack) looked it up and said that it was in K9 which is what I had told them all the app said, K9 Bay 3. She asked Jack if he knew where that was and he said Aisle 16. She asked him to go get it for me. I followed him, he retrieved it, and gave it to me. I thanked him and said that we had looked all over for it and that he was the 5th staff person asked. He admitted that he only knew where it was because he remembered seeing them in the aisle. My first issue is that the app could have simply said Aisle 16 rather than the vague kitchen/bathroom description. We could have found it ourselves easily and quickly. Instead of a 10 minute trip turning into an hour and asking 5 staff people to find it. All because 4 of them didn't know that section K9 was aisle 16 in the front of the store rather than somewhere between Aisle 34 to 37 at the back of the store or incorrectly asserting that it was only sold online. I was already unhappy about the fact that it had gone up $10 in price from last week to this week making it expensive for a plastic hose/pump. Then add on how much of my time was wasted by the app and the staff. It was a frustrating experience to say the least. read more

As I was checking out an employee was helping me find a scan bar when another employee loudly walked up to me talking about how I was leaving early, that usually I waited until closing time to party with them....? I just looked at her awkwardly. Then this employee asked me if I remembered to pay for everything this time, about faced, snapped her fingers over her head and walked away from me and the employee assisting me. Before she got out of ear shot from me I loudly asked her if she was high or possibly drinking on the job. I asked if she really just accused me, a loyal, 25 year, veteran customer if I was stealing to which she winked at me an again walked off. Myself and 3 or 4 others watched this all unfold around 6pm in the self check at the Home Depot in N. Spokane County just off the Newport Hwy. This woman mistaked me for someone else, falsely accosted me and then acted a fool then bolted. The employee helping me find the scan bar apologized sincerely and then verbatim said "she thinks your someone else". I don't care for drama or confrontation so I wasn't going to say anything but the ego that this self entitled security, cashier or whatever employee with her slicked back fake blond highlighted hair was absolutely atrocious! Had she said something that insulting to the wrong person or my younger self, the consequences for such stupidity would have most likely been severe and immediate! I thought Home Crapot drug tested employees regularly? Apparently not. Lowe's it is from now on. Customer service is pretty much non-existent but at least employees don't seem mentally ill..... Their cashier Deeann (yes, I spelled her name correctly) tried to tell me my card was declined when I was there yesterday. I told her there's no way. So she had me do the card again. I remember telling her I hope I'm not being double charged on this. She smirked and said it won't. I told her they need to update their machines rather than keep updating the prices. Contacted my bank who said yes, that I was charged twice for the same amount but for two separate transactions numbers. They told me to take it into Home Depot and Home Depot should be able to issue the refund or they said I can dispute the charges, but I would have to get a new card which is a pain in the butt in my book. Well, guess what?! I was charged twice for the same transaction. So this morning I contacted Home Depot and spoke to the manager there by the name of Thomas. He said sometimes this happens and that it will rectify itself. He said there is nothing he could do. I said how long does that take? And he said he didn't know. This is ridiculous. Is this how Home Depot gets their money because they're hurting so bad for people to work. I've heard many say they're not buying from Home Depot anymore and going to Lowe's, which I will be doing from now on!!! read more

I ordered a computer chair for delivery with a friend paying for it remotely for Christmas. The delivery person placed the heavy package blocking the door so I had trouble getting out to get it. It was so heavy I had trouble getting it in to my downstairs living area. They sent me a previously opened box and denied it despite my having photographic proof it had been obviously repackaged. they did not care and claimed it was new from factory. It had no instructions on how to put it together and every piece was wrapped in brown paper and duct taped closed. I could not get refund. read more

Like any box hardware store they have a significant selection of goods here. This store is typically clean and when you find someone to help, they are generally nice. It can be difficult to find a person to assist though. The one plus here is the lifetime warranty on the Rigid Tools. They are a good deal as the warranty also covers batteries. read more

Do not buy appliances and installation services from Home Depot. If the delivery people do not like the looks of your house, they will refuse delivery and installation. Apparently the looks of your stove or refrigerator affects the installation of a dishwasher. Home Depot apparently uses interior decorators for delivery/installation people instead of hiring people who actually know how to install appliances. If you're not one of the upper class white, rich families, they will refuse to install the appliance. read more

Kala Curran, Design Consultant and Appliance Specialist, helped us design our cabinets for our new kitchen. She was extremely helpful and patient as we worked together to figure out what type of cabinet to purchase and how many we needed. She input all the info into her computer and out came a picture of what our kitchen would look like! We decided to order and pick out a delivery date. Unfortunately, we nearly had to leave and go someplace else as the first delivery date was in December which was unacceptable. She could have sent us on our way. Instead, she decided to look up each piece to see if it was in stock at the store. It took quite a while. To our surprise, she found each one! All of them were delivered the next day. I went in on valentines day In my work clothes and asked to buy some cordless tools I found a clerk and asked him if he could open the rack to which he said yep ive got the code. He asked me what I needed and I pointed out 3 tools and 2 battery's. He turned and looked at me and laughed. You know how much that costs right? He asked me, and I said yes I did the research online i know. He looked at me again and laughed and said oh ok well i dont have the key so scan the rack and someone will come. He didnt call someone to help me he just walked off. Then i scanned th rack and waited 25 min until i walked away to find a group of 4 employees standing on the next isle talking. I went up to them and was pretty irritated at this point and I said hi im not a Crack head! They looked at me and turned away from me and said congratulations.so I pulled out 15 crisp 100 dollar bills and said again I'm not a crackhead I'm trying to buy tools can I get help or not? They said go stand over there and we will call for someone. Every employee at this home depot is lazy,rude, and unprofessional. I came in in coveralls with my name and company name on them in plain sight. I wasted over an hour and was disrespected the second I came in the door. I will never buy from home depot again. I am writing with regard to the North Spokane Home Depot. We ordered new appliances for our home on January 14th. They consist of a standard refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. We paid approximately $5,100 for the merchandise that day. This does not include the substantial kitchen remodel we contracted with Home Depot. We arranged for delivery on February 10th. The Home Depot cancelled the delivery and rescheduled for February 16th. After providing us with a literal last minute cancellation, Home Depot rescheduled again on March 9th. After yet another reschedule, Home Depot cancelled our delivery today. This does not include the times we had to reschedule due to Home Depot scheduling on days we explicitly told them we would not be available. Home Depot has not delivered our appliances two months after we have paid for our merchandise. Customer service was inept at addressing our issues with Home Depot's delivery delays. The third party Home Depot contracted to deliver our appliances gave us no accommodation for the delivery or worked with us to find an alternative path. As a result we had to completely cancel our purchase. A complete refund will be pending. I will be sure to update this review if we do not receive it in a timely fashion. We will not do business with the Home Depot and we advise anyone working on home improvement projects to take your business elsewhere. If feasible we would also cancel the entire kitchen remodel. This company's shoddy customer service and inability to deliver are frankly embarrassing. For a company with self-proclaimed expertise in home improvement, it has much to learn when it comes to transacting business. read more

I ordered a ryobi 12 pack toolkit online and sent it to this store. When I arrived to pick it up I noticed that the electrostatic sprayer involved wasn't included. After a pleasant conversation with Jasmine and her assistant manager I was instructed on what to do to resolve it (contact online ordering). Within 3 text messages, yep text messages, the issue was resolved and credited back to my card. I haven't had a customer service interaction run this smooth in I don't know how long, surely not since the pandemic. I've been remodeling for about 3 months. So far, there has been an issue with each and every order. I'm not too concerned about delays in shipping. The whole world is dealing with that right now. I'm talking about orders that have been held up or delayed at the local store. Here's one of many examples: Flooring arrived 2-3 weeks late so I was excited when I got the email saying it was ready to pick up. I went right after work and stood in line to present my order # and ID. They paged for another employee to assist. A couple guys showed up in response to the page and one of them said "I know right where this is. Pull into the loading area and I'll be right there. I just need to grab a fork lift." An hour and a half later, I was told my order was way in the back and they wouldn't be able to get to it and I could try again tomorrow. It took 3 days to pick up the flooring order that was already nearly 3 weeks late. The "manager" on duty the night I actually got to bring my flooring home, was very professional and polite. He even helped me load the flooring into my truck. I told him I was expecting another order that was tracking to arrive that day and he said he would personally look out for it and keep it at his desk til I picked it up. Nice guy. The other order arrived the next day. UPS delivered it to the store. Nate signed for it, and then it disappeared. For several days no one could (or would) find it. So eventually they refunded the order. The project has taken longer than it should have due to a variety of Home Depot issues and incompetencies, from the guy who came to measure for carpet 3 times to the rude woman with swamp colored hair at the order pick up desk. Seriously the only truly helpful Home Depot team member I've ever encountered at this store, was the "manager" who helped me load my flooring. I didn't catch his name. I wish he would have been able to put my other order aside for me though, like he planned. Cuz whoever this Nate guy is who signed for it, isn't maybe in the role he's best suited for. I knew another Nate like that once and ironically, he works for Home Depot! It's too crazy to think that all of these orders are being delayed, by the same Nate who used to play those games in Alaska! Yeah, that's too crazy. I'm not sure why there are any poor reviews due to "short staffing" for this store. I go here (and Lowe's) frequently. I usually find what I want, or an alternative item, at Home Depot. What some folks may not understand is that it is difficult to find employees in Spokane (most places are looking) and in a home improvement store like HD (or Lowes), you actually want someone who knows something about the products, construction, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and/or paints. Cashiers and service providers/advisers are as important but those skills can be trained easier than with real world experience and knowledge in construction. I do have two issues for Home Depot that do NOT justify dropping a star: The parking is far too crowded and with narrow drive lanes; and my biggest personal peeve is the god-awful music that blares overhead (It is VERY distracting, particularly when working out a project in my head.) I have found the employees I encountered to be courteous, polite, and generally more knowledgeable than I in some subjects. read more

Ben took the time to show us a variety to choose from. He went above and beyond helping us set up the order. When I had to return to the store to complete the order he had all our information ready! Terrible customer service they screwed up my flooring order and just said do youwant to cancel it. The managers never returned phone calls. The phone attendant hanged up on me. They we were worse then the VA and Social Security...I will never go back they lied to me about making it right with me for their multiple fisacos. Tyson in the rental/service center is amazing. Bought a ryobi 40volt battery lawn mower back in June of this year. Worked great all summer then recently began having issues. With no service center that works on ryobi battery lawn mowers in Spokane I thought I was out of luck. Called Tyson and he told me to bring it in. Promptly tested and replicated my issue. Tried to buy 2 deck heaters and some solar lights but they locked the gate to be able to exit outside so we had to go all the way out and around to get a cart from outside to put them on and the check out guy was very rude. We were obviously about to spend a lot of money and my husband had to carry a heavy deck heater from outside to the check out on the other side of the building, and they did not care to help even move the heavy items. We waited multiple days in a row for over 30 minutes for someone to help get bags of rock from the top shelf. My wife and i went to this store on 7/14/2020 about 9:30 am, to purchase a couple of small items, and to shop for screen doors for our home. We had been disappointed in the selection of screen doors at brand X store. We were very happy to find the perfect door to fit our entry door. The door was up high on the rack, (as they all are) and would require assistance. Also I needed to pay for it and pick it up at a later date. I went to the gentleman at the desk in the door section, asking him how I could go ahead and purchase this door. "I think i need a ticket to purchase one of the screen doors". "A ticket?" . "Ok, how can I buy one of the screen doors?" His answer, exact quote: "put it on a cart and buy it". Zero helpfulness at all. I was appalled. We did not buy the door. read more

Living 78 miles from the Depot, I phoned and spoke with Customer Contact manager Willy about a return that had just lapsed the receipt's stated 90-day return policy. I assured Willy the condition of the 4x8' sheet goods was like-new and he kindly said, "Sure, just bring it back". Two days later we did and were ably assisted by young Gavin who I asked to attest to the condition of the items and to take possession, then the lovely Isabella who handled the credit back to our card. We ordered a refrigerator during the pandemic from this store. We were told that Home Depot could store the refrigerator until we could arrive in Spokane. Long story short, they called to say they could no longer store the item in March. We arranged to have our son at the house when it was delivered. They delivered it and put it in the garage w/o opening the box. When we finally arrived and opened it, we discovered a big dent on the lower right front. When I called for a replacement or refund, we hit a brick wall. No replacement and no full refund. They offered $200. When I called to discuss further, my call was never returned. We were stuck with a $800+ loss. We have been long time customers with Home Depot, but we have not set foot in one since then. I would not recommend this store. read more

This Home Depot is nice but boy is it crowded and it doesn't seem to matter what day or time, there is always a mass amount of people here. Employees seem friendly, some more helpful than others but otherwise ok. They layout of this store I prefer over other Home Depot's I've been to. The garden center is my fave. There is always an employee there who ask if you need help which I appreciate because I usually do! Lol. The few times I have gotten through no one seems to know anything without transferring me which inevitably results in me being hung up on. Stopped on the way to our cabin for some pressure treated 2 x 4's. First time at this store. The wood was the worst I've seen in a long time. It had really been picked though and a lot of the bundle was crap. So I buy my 2 x 4's and check out and ask the cashier in the contractor area if they have red flagging because the lumber would stick out my tailgate 4 feet. She said "I think we have twine but not flags. Anyway, they aren't required." I said I had straps for the lumber but since I had 90 miles to go and it was getting dark, I felt like it was a safety issue. She said sorry. I took about 10 steps from her check stand towards the door there they were along with nails to attach them. I'm really tired of these HD employees that are unengaged, know nothing, and could care less about customers. They have no clue who pays their wages. The other thing that pissed me off was a contractor was allowed to park with his truck and trailer across the exit, effectively blocking it while several HD employees looked on. This store is horrible and I wish I could give it no stars. Dodging speeding cars in the parking lot with a child in tow is another reason to stay away from this crappy store. read more

Waited for 45 mins to try and get one blind cut to fit... ONE asked twice for help and it never came, and when I did ask they didn't seem to have any care in the work to get me the help I need. The Asian guy in the blinds area walked past me twice and said not one word like "be right with you" no smile no nothing. As I pace up and down the isle I see employees walking around trying to look busy. I spend 4800 bucks on a new fridge and washer and dryer you get all the help in the world! Went to check out with 10 exact same boards but because one one slightly different in hue the cashier decided to argue with me that it was a different type and she couldn't scan the tag - I assured her they were all the same, but it was apparent she didn't believe me. I've been a builder for 35 years and I think I know my woods. If she had actually just taken the tag OFF the board, she could READ the numbers were the same. Finally, she did charge me correctly for the wood, but also decided to charge me for ten 16 oz bottles of coke, when i only bought one - I don't think so! Bought some insulation today and took it back to the job site, opened it up and found black mold on the paper backing. Took it back and replaced it with two more. Opened those up and found some more black mold. I would be careful when buying any R13 insulation from that store, or any insulation for that matter. read more

I just bought a house and was super excited to get all new appliances. On 7/17/18 I purchased a new stove, above stove microwave, dishwasher, fridge, washer, and dryer. On 7/30/18 they were able to send someone to come install everything. They said a plumber would have to install the dishwasher. The delivery people were so unprofessional. They came unprepared for the job. One of the guys kept asking for my sisters phone number while the other guy was trying to install everything by himself. They dropped the fridge and broke it. They told me they would give me $150 off if I just took it. It was completely busted so I said no. They said I would have to call and reorder a new one. They left the dishwasher in the hallway for the plumber. Over another week later, 2 calls to customer service, 2 visits back to Home Depot, and 2 calls to Home Depot, I still have the dishwasher sitting in the hallway and no fridge. I paid Home Depot $3700 almost 4 weeks ago and still don't have an installed dishwasher or fridge. When I complained to Home Depot about the delivery people they told me it was an outside company that did deliveries/installation so it didn't have anything to do with them and I would have to talk to the delivery people's boss. I understand shit happens, but seriously this is just unprofessional. If you are looking for new appliances and don't want to wait a month for them save yourself the stress and time and go somewhere else. Update: 8-14-18 Still don't have my fridge. Dishwasher is still sitting in the hallway waiting to be installed. I was given an install date and time and no one showed up. I have talked to customer service 4 more times and everyone is passing the buck. Currently there is no date for set for my dishwasher to be installed. I wish I never would have purchased through them. It's been a terrible on-going experience. Update: 8-21-18 Plumbers arrived. They unpacked the dishwasher to find it was dented badly in 2 spots on the front and the stripping was completely coming off. Update 9-1-18 I finally have everything I purchased installed.
