Very let down by the customer service here. Bought a blind that was missing a piece sadly didnt realize it until it was 2 thirds hung. So we brought back what wasn't hung hoping to maybe exchange or get the missing parts. Told no needed everything back so went home took it all down brought it all back and then was given the missing parts. After being told it couldnt be done, going home and taking everything down for no reason. So wasted an afternoon. Seriously why?! We have shopped here a few times and while there have been some great customer service others it doesnt seem like people care. read more

Great service, great stock and above average service on every visit! My experiences are usually inspiring to do more projects than I can hope to achieve but they always make me feel up for the challenge. The garden centre rivals few I have been too and their selections are usually in various sizes making it easy to accommodate to many budgets. read more

Don't normally give five stars. You decide. I was greeted at the door, I asked where would the the Methyl Hydrate be? The Greeter walked me right to the shelf. I asked could I return to customer service to pay for (as an old geezer like me was not looking forward to walking a mile to the exit). She even offered to sprint half way down the store to get me a cola as I was feeling a little sugar insulin low. I was allowed to leave from the closest exit. Wow high marks. I was thinking of all the grief I would suffer for the same requests at lowes. Yes my new hardware store is here in St Albert called Home Depot. I also notice ALL the staff here seemed upbeat and happy. How odd?!! read more

I went to this store with my mom when she was looking for some area rug and some other home improvement stuff. I'm not very interested in all that considering the restrictions of apartment living. Still I found some of those awesome 3M hooks and poster hangers that don't mark up the walls. I like looking at stuff that could potentially be used in crafting such as paints, tiles, grout, funny nobs and such. My mom was looking at blinds and counters and crap so I collected samples because they were neat and I saw definite craft potential. This was my first exposure to the self-checkout. So, I opened a bag and threw all my countertop and paint samples in. Then I scanned my 3M products and threw them in the bag. The machine kept telling me to take items out of the bag and put them back in. It wouldn't let me pay for it or anything and was driving me nuts. Of course my mom and I just laughed because it was like a live comedy sketch. I kept emptying the bag and rescanning things and canceling and such. It took seriously about 20 minutes or so until a manager finally came and told us that the machine weighs the items and was confused by my samples. Still, I think we ended up having to take it to a cashier. read more

We purchased a new washer dryer set from Home Depot, St. Albert, AB on May 6, 2020. Delivery was to be made May 13th. Today is May 22 and still nothing. I have been on hold with their customer service depot for 45 minutes (for the 2nd time) Very disappointed with their lack of service. read more

Picked up a garden / porch swing for my wife for Mother's Day and staff were readily available to help me find it, load it and even had suggestions for putting it together. Very good customer service! read more

We had the worst experience ordering a kitchen with this location. The price was over $8,000 for a kitchen Craft painted cabinet with chalking. The paint runs, different colors, over spray and poor quality was shocking! Called the store and the store manager along with the vendor came out to the location to view the poor quality kitchen. They agreed to fix or replace the cabinets that were ordered November 14, 2011. Again several different colors and very poor quality wasn't delivered to us but we had to pick it up at the Yellowhead Hotel. We again contacted the store with no return phone calls so I went to the store personally It has been six months without a kitchen now. The customer service lady was fantastic and helped me get the messages to the assistant manager who never called me back. I kept calling and going by the store with no calls back or results. We are delivering the kitchen back to this store at our expense. I have purchased over twenty kitchens in the past but not all from this location therefore I can appreciate good service and quality. If you want a quality kitchen don't buy Kitchen Craft or here at the St. Albert Home Depot! read more

DON'T BUY THE CARPET We've spent a lot of money at this store, and it has always been a good experience. Then we bought high end carpet for our home. We bought it for the all inclusive life time warranty. We had it installed and then only a couple weeks later, the carpet started to fray. We contacted Home Depot for the warranty, and they said "send us pictures" We did, and we never heard back. A few months later we followed up again, and they said, "send us pictures". We told them we already did, but sent them again anyway. And then, nothing. Another six months go by and we go into the store and ask why nobody is following up. They give us some story about losing the pictures and would you please send the pictures again. WE do, and nothing. We go in again and this time we talk to a store assistant manager. He looks at the pictures, send them to the manufacturer, and the manufacturer says "we need to see a receipt for professional carpet cleaning". WHAT?? We say we put in a claim a year and a half earier, when we just bought the carpet, and there was no need (and no time) to get it professionally cleaned. We send this back to the assistant manager and, nothing. Its not been two years since we put the claim in and we have gotten absolutely no movement on this at all. Its pathetic really and its even worse when we found out from a realtor that the carpet we bought is notorious for its defective fraying. So the manufacturer of the carpet is looking for loopholes, and Home Depot is not standing by its product. Shameful, and disappointing. Caveat Emptor! Don't buy carpet from Home Depot. read more

We took our daughter and son-in-law into Home Depot yesterday in St. Albert to help them purchase a lawnmower and trimmer as well as some other misc items. What a frustrating experience we had trying to get some assistance. It didn't matter which department we went into the staff was more interested in visiting with each other than helping out a customer. I guess we are spoiled because the Home Depot in Spruce Grove where we live is so friendly and helpful. Not at all like the St Albert store. If you live in St. Albert I would recommend heading to Rona instead. read more

My very first time going in here with my service dog I was asked to leave. When I tried to explain to the gentleman that no... She's a service dog and is allowed by law he very rudely said. 'Nope! Head office says no dogs.. At all!' And stared at me to make his point. I stood my ground and once again explained the law and that denying me access could cost his company thousands of dollars and a lawsuit and all about the service dog act and about as much information as I could give him. He still insisted so I spoke with someone else who I guess had a chat with the employees. Now every time I go in people wave and smile and most importantly ignore my sd!! We just purchased new appliances from Home Depot in St Albert and I am absolutely appalled at their service. We paid for everything to be delivered. They were delivered (which the delivery guys walked all over our new carpet with their wet muddy boots. So fucking unimpressed!!) to our place. My husband got home from work that night and installed the new dishwasher we purchased from them. Every time we try to start it it kicks on and gives us an error code. We call Home Depot and they tell us to call the manufacturer so we do. We've left multiple messages now with GE and no one is returning our calls. So we have a dishwasher that will not work now. My husband goes into Home Depot this morning to tell them we'd like a new dishwasher since ours doesn't work and they procede to tell him that as soon as appliances leave the store they are no longer their responsibility and we are to wait 48 hours to hear back from the service manufacturers. It's been 72 hours since we phoned. Seriously. Are you kidding me? Do you have no customer service morale at all? We've had it sitting here for a week and it will not run. Grab some brains Home Depot. You are a major company and you just pissed off the wrong person. If I purchased something broken from another store and took it back I would get a new one. That's how it works. Money doesn't grow on trees you know. I am appalled at your service. We have dropped a lot of money in your store in the last few weeks since moving here but I will no longer step foot in your store again. You've definitely lost some customers and I may only be one person but social media is a place I can make my voice heard loud and clear. read more
