Please read before buying LG! We bought an LG washing machine, replacing our old LG (10 year warranty). After a short few months it started to destroy our clothes. It first accord after washing our sheets. They looks like some sharp object would be in the drum and pull strands out of the fabric. We checked the drum, stroked over every inch with our hands, used cotton balls to see if anything stuck - nothing! I called customer service (we ordered our washer directly from LG). They told us to run the drum clean cycle 5 times in a row (that's 7.5 hours!) that should solve the problem. We did and the next load of laundry had the same problem. We called LG again, send them pictures as requested, were told they investigate and call back. They never did. Today was the 6th time I called and also send an email to the president. After telling them that I will write this review and post it everywhere I was asked by the supervisor if I use the right cycle to wash my laundry. I am 69 years old and know how to do laundry. Finally I was told he would pass it on to their service center which will contact me to find out if it is a manufactory defect. This goes on now for over 6 weeks. The service center contacted us via text and asked what are the defective parts - how am I supposed to know? The next message was they reach out if they have someone available. I would stay away from LG which is hard to say because we have LG everywhere from fridge to TVs but if something is wrong it is the worse customer service you ever experience. read more

Lo and behold I am now being told there is a delay in delivery. This does not surprise me. There was an order that I had the same problem which was not ever delivered. I used the Home Depot Kitchen re do department. It was the worst experience I havd ever had. From the salesman who promised good. timely service and quality cabinets to the whole way job was run by their department. The cabinets were badly made as well as measuring way off. Many things had to be re done. They would not respond to calls or do anything about issues. It took months to get it done which salesman told me it would take 3 weeks. It was frustrating and very upsetting. It was very overpriced for job. Stay away! read more

If you are coming in for paint I highly recommend this location. At the paint station there is an employee named Felipe who went out of his way to help me and my mom figure out which paints work best for our project. From the moment we were at the paint station he was extremely helpful and friendly (a completely opposite experience from what a customer would have at the Home Depot location on Targee). I live closer to the Targee St location but I prefer the services at the Home Depot on Forest Avenue, Staten Island. We had such a smooth experience when we bought a new refrigerator at the latter. Matt the Appliance assistant help us through and through to pick pur next two for refrigerator. He helped us find the right size and added special instructions for the delivery crew to follow in case there was a issue with the delivery as it required to bring the unit one flight of stairs. The delivery crew was a pro. The unit only sustained a very small scratch which was amazing given the difficulty of the handling of the unit during delivery. Very happy with our purchase a this branch. Nice job by Matt. He made us feel taken care of. read more

Put in an order the night before I was to pick up my item, got an email that same day that the item was ready for pickup however I wouldn't have made it before the store closed. Arrived at the store the next day and called the curbside pickup number and so far it has been a half hour of ringing and no answer. Asked an employee and got an aggravated response that she had no idea as she went back to her text messaging. I guess that was more important than the job she was being paid for. She wasn't on break either! She was guarding the door so people would get on the line to get in the building. This has been my experience every time I try to use this franchise for anything. I feel like every time I come here, it's either a hit or miss with their customer service. Going to Home Depot with my siblings yesterday was a drag though. When we saw workers, we asked worker #1 to call for someone over to the lumbar area and he did so. We waited for some time and no one came. We saw worker #2, they said they'll get someone and disappeared. Then saw worker #3 and he called for someone to the lumbar section again. We ultimately waited about 30 mins. for someone to come help us cut wood by worker #4. TERRIBLE!! EVERY time I go you cannot find a worker! Literally all the time. It seems that no one works. When you do finally ask, they say they are on lunch and will find someone to help you and they don't! I went up to a group of employees talking (hanging instead of working) and asked for help. One of the employees responded to one of the people they were speaking to and said "yea, he can help you" the employee responded back "why you gotta throw me under the bus like that?" They just don't want to work. One time entire department went to lunch. I don't understand how everyone goes at the same time leaving customers. Another time I was looking for something and NO ONE knew what it was called or where I could find the item. When you go to customer service no one asks if you need help. When stuck on the SIE, you get pretty desperate. So, I Yelped were I could go close to the highway to check out any potting plants were on sale, and this Home Depot location popped up. The plants for the most part weren't filled with blooms, and there was definitely plants misplaced in the wrong sections. It was muddy when I walked around, so I had to be careful not to break my neck. The neighborhood this is in as well is a little ghetto, so I wasn't too thrilled with it. Maybe would try again the next time I am stuck in traffic, which might be sooner rather than later. read more

I get a call from Home Depot to confirm my items was getting delivered, then on the day of the delivery it was a no show. I called Home Depot, only for them to tell me, i was not charged. IM FUMING!!! I had my ordered canceled, then I went to reorder the item, only to see the price was raised nearly $450. Oven been to every Home Depot with my dog. Multiple times. He's usually a star when he enters and customers love him. Today I entered this Home Depot with him and immediately I was told by a staff member with red hair that I cannot have my dog in here. He needs to be in the cart. (I'm shopping for Clearance Christmas decorations for next season. I need the cart) I asked her "since when" and she said to read the sign outside on the door Unless he's a service dog and just turned away. Now I get if that is a new policy or whatever I'm really not sure what the official policy is regarding dogs. I know I've called the one on the north shore and they said as long as the dog is well behaved it's fine and I know that in the last year I've had him he has always gone with me to all the Home Depot's in Staten Island and even Lowe's which I went to after I left this store. My dog is extremely well behaved no prey drive and loves everyone who comes up to him to greet him. He won't just pull towards anyone he waits politely to be greeted. Anyway, Continuing. I decided to call the store to ask about the for some clarification on the policy. I called them, asked for a manager was put on hold but not actually hold. The lady on the line was polite but I assume she didn't know how to operate the phones because she kept apologizing, asked if I could call back and I guess was going to get me direction on what prompts to press for the manager then I guess she called an associate and asked them to transfer me to a manager. She was very polite about it. But now as I am typing this review I've been on hold for 25 mins. I did notice that while I was briefly in the store the parking lot was not near being being full and NO ONE was at the help desk waiting on time. With this said, I am getting my kitchen remodeled, and I will give credit when it's due. I sat with Anthony in the kitchens area, and although the store doesn't deserve a five star, he definitely does. Very patient, respectful and provided outstanding customer service. I am giving this review because employees need to know when they are doing a fantastic job, and he deserves to be acknowledged for his work. My son purchased his first home in January 2017, and headed over to Homedepot on Forest Avenue in Staten Island to buy appliances to outfit two kitchens. In February 2017, he ordered two (2) refrigerators, two (2) range top stoves, one (1) dishwasher, and a range hood. That was in February 2017... After a series of delays, the delivery date finally arrived in April 2017---one refrigerator was missing, my son was told that it was out-of-stock. Ironically, it is the one item required to outfit the rental unit at his home. After much back and forth with 1) www.Homedepot.com, 2) their Delivery Company, and 3) www.Frigidaire.com. My son still has not taken delivery of that fridge. Thus, he has been unable to close a deal on the rental unit in his new home. On a final note, a call to the Homedepot on Forest Ave. today, 5/20/17 left me on a 15-minute hold, listening to the 'inbound call director' exclaim "how important a customer I am to them". Really!!! So, my son and I headed on over to the Forest Avenue Homedepot, where we were advised that Sheldon, the store manager (Nicole at Customer Service would not share his last name) was gone for the day. And Jim (again, no last name) one of the Assistant Managers also was out. We was left to speak to Deanna B. Asm, Assistant Store Manager. Deanna called Homedepot's appliances delivery company and was told that 'their' delivery manager was away for the weekend and that she would need to call back on Monday, 5/22/17. Seems that store and delivery managers take the weekends off...that said, the big question is when will my son get his refrigerator so he can rent his apartment? I suggested to Deanna that Homedepot needs to make my son whole by providing him by completing his order and the deal with the delivery company later. DO NOT OPEN HOME DEPOT STORE CARD here is what happened. I opened HW store care last year at Staten island where i live. due to pandemic, i haven't shopped at home depot for almost 6month. on Nov 28 2020, i received an alert test that saying someone is trying to use my HM card, i called customer service as soon i read the test and also filed a dispute. they canceled my card and mailed me a new card. about 2weeks later after i received new card, on 1/6, i received another test alert that saying someone is trying to use my new card!!! what the F!! i called back to customer service right the way to cancel the whole account. because i couldn't trust them anymore, and i have a suspicion that HM system may have a breach or been hacked, that's why my card# and my driver license ID has been stolen for 2 times. i told that to them too but of course, no one is listening to me. today, i received a letter from their fraud research dept, because someone is using my driver license ID# to make the purchase. i have to responsible for the charge that made at Oklahoma on 11/28!! For god sake, i have never been to OK in my like, i will file the police report for ID theft. read more

The only reason this is getting 2 stars is because we had a very nice person in the store help us in the beginning. We had a huge order delivered and they lied to us non-stop about the delivery fees (we were told a very small amount per item and then they tried to charge us $350) and we would be able to have it delivered at the end of the day and it turned out we were not allowed to schedule and ended up wasting an entire day waiting around for them. Then, they didnt deliver an item because they were out of it and we were originally told that before they deliver, if they didnt have an item, they would get it from another store. I am usually one to always find the good in things and give good reviews (go ahead, just look at my reviews, I am pretty generous). I live close by to this location so when I bought my house we came here a lot. I am finally writing a review because I had just had enough of this store! The most frustrating thing is there is never anybody to help you, in any department! When we went to buy paint we waited 45 minutes before we were assisted. When we went to buy new appliances, we ended up at a Sears two hours later. Today we tried to get assistance with cement, left the store with nothing! Pretty positive this will be the last time we will shop at a Home Depot. We also bought our storm door from this location over a year ago. We were promised the remaining parts to finish our door (to put in ourself even though we paid for installation. . .) and we are still waiting on these parts. Waiting over a year for parts for anything is ridiculous! We still have a lot more to be done in our house but this will not be where we will be spending our money! read more

Ordered some sand online for in store pickup, didn't go as planned. I waited at the "Customer service / pickup" desk unacknowledged for approxiamately 10 minutes, all while store associates had personal conversations and looked right past me. The young lady behind the counter, following her personal conversation of course, began to wave over customers just walking in from the returns counter to her side.... all while I stood directly in front of her. I asked, "am I in the right spot for pickup"? She responded "Oh... yeah... the guy will be back in a few" .... and quickly dismissed me. Absolutely horrible experience. I would give 0 stars if I could. We ordered a dishwasher and lid for installation. The installers come & say that they could not install the dishwasher because it would not fit when clearly it would. They left. No respect very nasty. I got a handyman to come install it and it fit completely fine - but would not turn on. The dishwasher they sent was defective after all that trouble!!! We re-set up our old dishwasher using the same connections to ensure that it wasn't a working issue and nope! Will never order another applicance from them again. No thanks !!!! read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars. The staff here really needs to mind their own business and pay attention when they ring people up. My family and I were shopping and we split up to look for some stuff. I was with my brother and when we got what we were looking for, we searched for our parents and this lady asks us if we needed any help and I turned to her and said we were just looking but thank you. She then makes some comment about us roaming around the store and waiting for the next movie and I was so confused until I realized they must have thought my brother was my boyfriend and we were hanging out at Home Depot until the next movie started. I gave them a glare after I turned around and they stared laughing. We were actually there to purchase stuff, but was it really any of their business to say stuff like that?! Then later a staff asked my brother if he needed help and he also said he was just looking and the staff gave him a rough ok before leaving. I was impressed by the service I received at the Forest Ave. Home Depot, I usually order then pick up at Home Depot, now that I live in another town, because I cant stand in-store experience. However, I was pressed for time between appointments on Staten Island and expected not to get everything I needed, so I initially went in to get vinyl flooring, this location had what I wanted because I called and spoke to "John" I think was his name very helpful but told me he would not be there the next day, Wedsnesday , when I shopped, but that someone will help me out....so I go in there, but first stopped by paints because planned to go to Lowes or Sherwin Williams with their paint chip, but while looking at Home Depot's paints for similar color, the gentleman, I should have remembered his name but I think it was John too, says he's there 18 years, was extremely helpful! He took my paint chip matched it, super fast!! Sent me on my way to flooring in record time, where I encounter several employees, ,"millennials"(Oh boy! I thought and mumbled) but no worries, the young man, Alonzo, (hope name is right) found the floorin, figured out the vinyl measurements, then cut it with an associate, while I ran (didn't really run) to very clean rest room, got back (with a compressor grabbed enroute from restroom visit, I thought I couldn't get, for time sake , but a lady & gentleman associate put in my cart real fast ) he and his associate had flooring wrapped then two nice ladies aided at self checkout and Alonzo rapidly helped me to the car loaded the floor vinyl, and a compressor , and I was off in record time no dilly dally. Thank you all for an expeditious shopping day at the Home Depot ---- And the springy city/downstate weather was icing on the cake. read more

What is up with Home-Depot service? I sit too hard to get professional people, or at least more people to help? The only place I get help is at the paint section, I hope it is not because Home D makes a lot of money from that department. But even you get quick help, until they mix the paint, and they clean it again and again. With all the money that run through Home Depot, can't they hire more people or do something? Until I got help, I found great product to fight the wasps with. It is a spray that can spray to 20 fit. But until I found someone to help, I think that wasps left on their own. This is my favorite home depot. Close by, and great garden stuff. I needed lots of top soil for my project and this was the spot. It has the best priced topsoil by bag on the island altough the sod is on the high side. It does run out of items. I must say the staff was nice to me, great job. read more

I go to the Forest Ave Homedepot for all my needs. Staff is knowledgeable. I was afraid to start going when I read the reviews but I've never had an issue. While the store is short staffed just a bit of patience and the associates are more than happy to help. If it's something they don't have in stock they spend the time locating the merchandise for me at other locations. LOVE this store. read more
