The Home Depot Valdosta is by far the rudest group of individuals that I have encountered in this part of the world.. Today was the 3rd visit to the store over the last 3 years each visit reaffirming my belief that they really don't want my business. After the last visit I decided to avoid the store but sometimes they are the only store for 100 miles that has the product I need and today I needed tan polymeric sand. I enter store near masonry supplies but can't find it anywhere. Associate #1 doesn't know where it is so pages someone. 5 minutes later Associate #2 arrives and asks what I am looking for. I told him and he asks why I wasn't looking in the paint department. I said cause polymeric sand in not normally with paint. #2 says "I was talking to him". I go down to paint where there is no polymeric sand then go to the open customer service window. After about 30 seconds of being ignored by the three people huddled around a computer, one finally acknowledged my presence and tried to help. I told them Associate #2 said it was in Paint. She said he probably thought I said polyurethane. They did help me, I got my sand from the garden section then I went to checkout; no open registers. Over to the self-checkout register where it never asks if I am a veteran. I was so pissed by now that I spotted them the $10 just to get out of the store. Maybe they just don't like people with masks, I don't know, but I do know rude when I see it, and the Home Depot Valdosta is the real deal. read more

I recently placed a special order for two nine-foot frosted glass doors from Home Depot, each exceeding $800. Unfortunately, the shipment faced two delays, and I never received a single call from Home Depot regarding the status of my order. My attempts to reach the store were met with unanswered calls, or if I did get through, there was no follow-up. In desperation, I resorted to contacting the vendor for updates on my order. When the doors finally arrived at the store, they were left unprotected. Upon inspection, one door was damaged. I'm unsure if the damage was caused by shipping or store handling. My contractor assured me that he could repair or install the door, so I accepted the damaged doors with a credit in place or reordering. This entire ordeal was incredibly frustrating and time-consuming. As a large retailer, Home Depot should have the resources and support to handle such issues efficiently. However, the Valdosta store failed to provide any real assistance. Overall, this experience has been a complete disappointment. I strongly advise against placing special orders through Home Depot in Valdosta. You'll likely have a much better experience working directly with the vendor. read more

my delivery went great, but having issues with my 1 week old washer since day one. The problem is the light wont shut off when load is finished, so I did say something they even had a guy come out on Friday March21, all he did was show me how to shut if off, he really didn't listen to what the problem is. The washer wont shut off and I let home depot know my issue was not resolved. So I finally got a hold of someone at GE and they said this indeed is a defect and now have to have new parts put on a 1 week old washer and this is NOT RIGHT!!! HOME DEPOT!!! My husband and I called on Tuesday, 3/23/2021. After going through the relentless computer automation, sat on hold and sat on hold as no one answered the phone, an hour total of ringing, 30 minutes each time. I drove 30 miles to Home Depot to stand in front of a lady at the counter who did not believe she was an employee and there to maybe help. I went to the computer facing the customers and decided to try it myself. The lady finally spoke and said she had a computer, what did I need. Wow, ok, we are looking for roofing our home, I have the square footage and was told she could not help did not know what roof we needed nor did she know what we needed. I guess I am not of the right mind to believe if you work in a hardware/home store that maybe you should know your job or have someone come help with what you do not know. Absolutely no service whatsoever! My 100 pound daughter asked for help loading 20 bags of rock for her front yard. Asked a second time and after 20 minutes no one yet came. She had to load those bags by herself. Cart was so heavy she couldn't even push it! When she again went for help, they couldn't believe she loaded it by herself. The technician from Eubanks Appliance told me he needed to order parts and he would come back to do the repair with the parts came in. I asked how long that would take he said I could call the office the following week and ask them when the parts would be in. When I called Eubanks Appliance on the 26th they had no idea when the parts were going to come. I went to Home Depot and asked if there was any possibility that I could return the washing machine since they couldn't get parts and was told NO. I've been without my washing machine for about a month and I've spent a little over $240.00 on doing laundry. I went to Eubanks Appliance on the 17th of October and was told one part came in the other two will never come in there not available. Bought something on line and went to pick it up curbside, waited an hour before I was acknowledged, during that wait I seen 5 employees look at me, and kept walking! If I could give them no stars I would. We purchased a washing machine last week. Had to wait a week for delivery. So, had a week's worth of dirty clothes to be done. Machine was delivered yesterday. Quit working on the first load. Tried to contact repair service, no answer, had to leave a message. Went to the store today to speak with a manager. We were told there was no manager there. Unable to get confirmation on repair visit. DO NOT BUY APPLIANCES HERE. Customer service is terrible and obviously once you have purchased something they don't care what issues you have with the product. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I'm military and new to Valdosta. I miss pronounced moultrie and she got an attitude about how I pronounced it & on top of that wouldn't let me get a full sentence out. Ordered a fridge scheduled for delivery on 11/27/2019. It arrived broken. Home Depot informed us that they didn't know when it would be re-delivered. No apology, no call the following week to let us know what was going on. Finally got in touch with someone who told us delivery was scheduled for 12/13. Called this morning to find out when fridge would he delivered, was told delivery had been pushed back to 12/19. Called Home Depot to cancel order. Representative was extremely rude and yelled in the phone to her coworkers the whole time. Again, no apology whatsoever. I will NEVER shop here again. Not that management would read this and actually give a crap, because evidently they don't care about customer service. I'm a Lowe's customer now. Spent 7,600$ for appliances. We were told that even though our house was 18 miles away the new 3rd party delivery company would not deliver to us? We arranged to pick up on May 25th. When we realized our house would not be ready for appliances we called the delivery company and changed date to June 9th. The appliances were still delivered on May 25th, the manager we spoke to said he had a record of my husband calling and rescheduling a delivery date. He said they could hold them until the following week. We spoke with customer service on May 28th and said we could not pick up appliances until June 1-2. We were told the condition of our appliances could not be guaranteed and we should send everything back and reorder?? We said we would do our best to get appliances as soon as we could, we live 4 hours from the Valdosta store but it is the closest to our new home. On June 3rd, Friday, we received another call from Home Depot management at the Valdosta store. We were told that our appliances would/could be sold because they were taking up space on their floor???? My husband broke his wrist on May 28th, we are in our sixties but drove 4hrs to Valdosta on Saturday June 4th picked up 5 out of the 6 appliances we ordered with the help of a friend. The last appliance, a refrigerator, we realized was too large for the opening in our new home so we returned it. We will be buying the replacement refrigerator at Lowes and in the future will not take our business to Home Depot! We have been customers for many, many years but no longer! Bad experience with an appliance purchase. Bought a LG washer 3 weeks ago. Failed upon first usage. Service said it needed 3 parts,including the electronics board. Still waiting. Laundry a problem. HD offered to pay for laundromat cost. How about the extra "pubes" not yours? Free. HD neither stocks parts nor new machines. Be very cautious about buying any appliance from HD. Home Depot is and for a long time has been the most disorganized and unfriendly group in Valdosta. I don't know how they are in other places. I just know that these people do not have a clue what they are doing. And that is in every department from the store manager down to the lowest paid worker. The company has a problem. One of my pet issues is the failure to honor their so-called veterans discounts. They advertise the discounts but don't honor them unless the customer is currently in service or retired. In contrast, Lowe's only required that I bring my DD214 to the customer service desk for verification. After that, I only have to provide my phone number. I tried to enroll in Home Depot so-called system and was thwarted at every turn. For the past four years, I will only darken the doors at Lowe's, NEVER at Home Depot. I have purchased many items, including major appliances, from Home Depot. I have always found them to be on time with my deliveries, on top of getting warranty work done and the employee's have always been very helpful, and always willing to help. I am planning to go in there in the next day or two and get a new refrigerator, stove hood, and upgrade my standing freezer to a larger one. I would not take my business to Lowe's period. Sometimes I think its how you approach things. I have always been nice, non confrontational, calm, and understanding. I find you catch more flies with sugar than vinegar. Home depot uses a GE warehouse service to deliver their appliances and they have no "control" on how or when they deliver the product you purchase. I shop with HD because of their service and to do business with a company that is as disreputable as the GE that I dealt with is unacceptable. They failed to deliver my product as promised, which is understandable because of covid-19, but they failed to deliver, then lied and said we were not in (and I have screenshots of calls from their delivery person calling to say that he was running late ). After failing to deliver as scheduled they kicked my delivery back four days later. My idea of good customer service meant my order would have been the first one delivered the next day, but no they weren't coming my way today and t just had to wait until they get to me. I will never order another GE product and I will stop shopping with HD unless they contract with a more reliable delivery company. I'm sure I am not the only person this has happened to, but other customers choose not to address they issue and just wet to Lowes the next time and I am seriously leaning that way also. read more

When I finally got a person on the phone, he quoted me a price per sheet that was three times what I normally pay. I have made my LAST trip to Home Depot. Slow or nonexistent staff. I waited at the end of a blocked aisle while employees stood at the other end talking. They'd walk away then walk back and talk some more.
