I used LL Flooring (formerly known as Lumber Liquidators) for a recent project. Throughout the project, I stopped by in person, spoke on the phone, and exchanged emails and texts. All was prompt, clear, and knowledgeable communication. My ~800 sq ft house had old laminate that was warping with water damage. I replaced it with LVP from LL Flooring. They frequently run sales on their materials so I got the planks for about 50% off. Both materials and install are pricey so I'd definitely recommend looking for discounts. It took a couple weeks for all my materials to be available. I had to go pick them up (or pay extra for delivery). Don't love that. After pickup, it was another couple weeks until install. I chose to save some money by doing the demolition myself. There was some confusion about what exactly needed to be done but I was able to text the morning of install and figure out a solution. This won't apply to most people as you're probably not doing your own removal. At the end, I think it is a pretty good result. The flooring looks good. The baseboard is in and they caulked it which I'm grateful not to have to do. They didn't use the moisture barrier tarp thingy I had purchased and made available, so I hope it holds up alright without that. There is a one year install warranty but that's not very long. I was able to return extra materials for a refund on those. Overall it was a pricey and slightly slow job, but I couldn't beat the price or timeline elsewhere. (Without a lot of DIY anyway.) I am pleased with the result and hopeful that it'll last a long time. read more

Let me preface by saying the individual people within the store are very nice and seemingly try to help as much as they can. This is the only reason I am giving two stars and not 1. The poor rating is due to corporate, the area installation manager seeming to not care about the issue, and the poor installation that was performed by the company they contracted to send, which is a representative of them since we did not have a choice on who to do so. I wish I could give all of this a glowing review, but unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a horror movie of a home owner. Much like a horror movie, it started off pleasant and everyone was nice, went smoothly purchasing the floor and paying a LOT of money. We were ensured it would go smoothly and we trusted them. From the beginning of the installation, the installers professionalism was questionable at best. The floor installation we paid for was riddled with mistakes--uneven boards, gaps, and dips when standing on them due to not treating the subfloor prior, which we did pay extra for. It looked like a DIY project gone wrong, rather than a job done by supposed "experts." But what really took this experience from disappointing to infuriating was their utter lack of accountability, both corporate of LL and the installers (Modern Flooring). After numerous attempts to contact both of them for a resolution, both have taken to screening my calls. I've left messages, sent emails, and even tried reaching out on social media, only to be met with radio silence. It feels like I've been ghosted after taking my money and leaving me with a shoddy floor. If you value your time, money, and sanity, steer clear of LL Flooring and Modern Flooring. Their customer service is nonexistent, and their work is subpar (to put it nicely). I'm left with a mess and no recourse, which is the worst kind of situation for any homeowner. He answered all my questions and spent a long time with me explaining everything I needed to know. He was pleasant and open too. I wasn't planning on buying flooring that day, but I ended up buying from them because of Nick. I was going to wait until I visited another supplier who was closed on Sundays, but Nick gets all the points. Even after my wife walked in the store after me, he still went over everything with her. Chase the assistant manager was also helpful and explained additional things to my wife. I can count on one hand the number of occasions that I've gone to any establishment, and found the personnel working there to be extraordinarily helpful, to the point of me questioning, "How is it possible that anybody could be THIS knowledgeable about EVERYTHING, be THIS helpful, and THIS patient?" I'm pleased to report that Kimberley at Lumber Liquidators (transitioning their name to "LL Flooring") was impossibly helpful in my flooring project, both on the phone, and in person. After having a TERRIBLE experience with a far inferior flooring company, I was forced to do a great deal of research and investigation into what sorts of flooring options were available and what would be most suitable to replace the garbage-grade laminate that came with my new house that was constructed two years prior. Lumber Liquidators had the highest quality rigid core vinyl plank flooring of all manufacturers I investigated, at a much lower price that the most comparable (and not as good) flooring at the big box and other flooring-only stores I investigated. Based on the quality (on paper as well as based on the free samples from their main location as ordered from their web page) of the flooring, I ordered an assessment to have my area measured and to discuss options with the assessor. This cost $25, which seems like quite a bargain, and this is deducted from the price of the flooring and installation if you decide to go with Lumber Liquidators. The assessor was from SW Contractors, and did an outstanding job. Much unlike the first terrible company I dealt with, where the assessor was also the salesman trying to make a commission, the assessor was patient, discussed many options (removal and replacement of existing baseboards, using quarter round in front of existing baseboards, etc.), and we were able to come up with a very detailed description of what work would be done, and that there would be no surprises at installation. He explained that he'd send the full plan to Lumber Liquidators, and that they'd contact me after 48 hours so I could pick out a floor, and get a detailed bid. He left me a card that told me that I was supposed to call Lumber Liquidators after 48 hours, so I did that, and spoke with Kimberley. Kimberley immediately knew seemingly everything about each flooring option I'd mentioned (that the type I'd mentioned was a limestone plastic composite and not PVC core as I'd believed it to be), the thickness of its wear layer, what type of underlayment is required for it, that the "tobacco road acacia" was a multiple-width pattern and wanting to ensure that I was aware of that or if I had any questions based on that, etc. It was as though she'd memorized every detail of every item in the entire store, and this enabled very fast, thorough, and efficient discussion of all options, for us to establish a work bid based on my preliminary choice, and set the groundwork for the next steps. After receiving the bid, I created a list of 10 questions, some with many sub-questions, and called Kimberley again. In our discussion, she pre-emptively answered many of my questions based on her response to my first question. She spent almost 20 minutes super patiently and professionally answering all of my questions, never once seeming even remotely rushed or annoyed, she seemed genuinely happy to take all the time needed, and sincerely interested in making sure I was making the best decisions to ensure that my floor would meet my needs and wants above all else. Not ONCE was there any semblance of any pressure to purchase anything from them at all. The next step was for me to come into the store to finalize the baseboard choice and to see the floor I'd chosen in person, in a "large sample" size (see my photos of for an idea of the large sample size). I'm VERY happy that I did so because the floor I'd decided upon based on their web site's "show this in my room" feature, just wasn't doing it for me when I saw it in person. Kimberley suggested other options, looked at the mock-ups of a few of the flooring options I'd saved in "my room" from their web site, and helped me decide upon a floor that looks like it will be absolutely perfect. Kimberley pointed out details of each idea that suggested a good match, or a not-so-good match for my cabinets and wall color. She then reworked the bid right on the spot with the new floor (she'd memorized the SKU), removed the preparation items that I'd do myself, and completed my purchase. None of the local stores have as much flooring as I need in stock (each one is just under), and I opted to have what I needed ordered so that I can pick it up at one location instead of driving around to many to get what I need. So far, I couldn't be happier with Lumber Liquidators, especially Kimberley's unparalleled professionalism, enthusiasm, and help. I cannot emphasize how HUGELY better Lumber Liquidators has been than the other I'd tried, and I'm really looking forward to my new floor. read more

LL Flooring and in-store representatives... very good. Unfortunately, LL Flooring must also be held responsible for their installation sub-contractors, Modern Flooring. Terrible. In brief... 1) Three installation appointment no-shows, (I have a half-hour drive each way to get to our condo). No call to say they weren't coming. I had to call to find out why no one showed up. 2) An incredibly frustrating re-schedule experience. 3) We were rescheduled WEEKS later after the last no-show. Promise of part of the installation cost refunded... never happened. They eventually stopped answering/returning our calls. 4) Terrible installation. I'll take partial responsibility for this. We were out of town when they finally got an installer to our condo. My wife signed off without knowing what to look for. Excessive gaps around doors, damaged/dented boards, three or four excessive gaps in the field boards, an unfinished door threshold, another slider threshold installed backwards. Really, really poor. One of the worst customer service/home service experiences I've ever had. read more

(updated) We didn't have a great experience this time, mostly due to subcontractors, but I'm impressed by the company's follow up. We have used Lumber Liquidators more than once, and we appreciate the selection and the expertise among store staff. This time, our project was a bit complicated, so we talked through it at length with the store staff. We were given specific directions about how to have the house measured. When the estimator/installer came to our house, however, he disagreed about the process and wound up giving incomplete information to the store. When we called and emailed with questions, response times were slow and information was confusing. Instead of getting back to us as planned, someone else called several weeks later asking when we were going to pick up our order, but the caller was still unable to tell us if the flooring would meet our needs. Delivery of the material was subcontracted to a company that refused to bring it up our front steps despite telling us on the phone that they would. Instead, they left it in the driveway and then asked for a tip. We called Lumber Liquidators with this, and they responded within hours and were determined to correct the problem, even offering to send the delivery team back to bring the flooring inside. While the experience with the subcontractors was less than ideal, we're happy with the follow up by Lumber Liquidators, and I've changed what was a 1-star review into 3. read more

We moved into our home 10 years ago. At that time it had white carpets in the majority with a faux tiled rolled linoleum in other areas. I knew that we needed to replace them as we have 4 kids and 2 dogs. FINALLY, 10 years later, we did it and could not be happier. We LOVE our new floors. We went with the waterproof Hackberry flooring and for our stairs we did the brazillian pecan engineered hardwood. We are in love!!!! We bought our flooring from LL & picked it up at this location. When I was purchasing it online it said the ship time was 1-2 weeks. With the supply chain being the way it is for so many products (backorder) I expected my flooring to arrive in like 3-4 weeks. I got a call from Chase, the store manger here, to let me know it might be another 3-4 weeks & to give the store a call next week to check the status on the order. This was a week after I placed the order & I really appreciated the quick response. My flooring ended up coming in 2 weeks! I was so excited! When I went to pick it up, Chase let me me know my product was on a really great sale. So I ended up buying another 1,000 sq ft to re-floor the rest of my house. I've never used their services since we're doing the install ourselves, but I sure had a great experience in purchasing, the quality of the product, & the customer service we got here at the Eastside LL Flooring store. I have to say I wish I could give 10 stars. We worked with the team in Milwaukie and start to finish it was one of the best experiences ever. We purchased a house that had some rooms with carpet and we wanted to replace with hard surface floors. The other part of the house had bamboo. The house was built in 2012. We first had a bid from Costco who told us that we could never match it and we would have to go with something else. They wanted over 10k and that was after the rebated price. I called ll flooring and shot over a picture and within a week the flooring was at our house. Shout out to their contractors too because they got me an appointment right away because we were on a very tight schedule. The best part? The finished price was right around 7500.00- way less than Costco! While not an exact match it is the same bamboo and we are so happy with the results. Ll flooring- the company, crew and contractors are top notch. I'll never look further for future flooring needs. read more

Just recently got some vinyl flooring from here to replace the carpet our elderly dog has been peeing on. They send one man who is late the first day. It took him two days(which seemed reasonable) and then he had us sign some paperwork at the end that said he finished the job. The carpet did not transition to the floor and was just left cut up with tape. He said he'd send some guy out later to fix it and to just sign. When we went to LL to see when this would be finished they said they had never done this before and were confused about what we were talking about. Based on the name Lumber Liquidators I was expecting a big store with a ton of flooring choices. My mailbox often has sale flyers from them and the latest was advertising the biggest sale of the year. Boy, was I excited! In fact I my have over hyped my expectations. We needed to purchased a vast quantity of luxury vinyl plank and I had high hopes to find a mid to high end product for a great price. All my flooring research went up in smoke when I discovered the flooring is manufactured by un-named manufacturers and labeled with their house brand. Which means there is no track record on performance of a specific product- not ideal when spending over 10k on flooring that needs to last 20 years. The biggest bummer was a small store with very limited quality & color selections in our choice of material. They seemed to have lots of wood & bamboo flooring though. On a positive note Travis was friendly and very knowledgable about their products- if they had what we were looking for I'd feel comfortable purchasing here. read more

Ordered trim on 7/28. The site said it would be at the store in 1-2 weeks. Keep being told it will be next week. Finally was told that it's on backorder and won't be fulfilled until they have enough to order. Go anywhere else unless you like waiting until they feel like filling the order. Never even got into the store... we tried to get to the store via the back parking lot entrance (that is used by their neighbor, a US Bank.) However the "alley way" between that parking lot and the back of Lumbar Liquidators was blocked on one side by a huge delivery trailer and then on the right side, directly in front of us, was a small Toyota truck with two guys from the store who, after putting in several long boxes of wood into the bed of the truck for the "cute little thing," were lounging around trying to look macho and chat her up. Ok, I get it, it was late in the afternoon and they were tired and she was so..... cute......, but how much would it have taken for them to ask - or help - her move the truck back a few feet (there was room) so we could get by? Then we could have actually gotten by and parked the car in the front of the store and come into shop. Rather they chose to ignore the whole situation - even to the point of turning their backs to us as we stared at them. Needless to say, after having to back my car up to get back into the parking lot, then deciding whether it was worth having to go around the entire block in 5 o'clock traffic to get to the front of the store - or directly across a very busy 122nd street during rush hour - I opted to forget the whole thing and just went home. We stopped in lumber liquidators on more than 1 occasion while researching our flooring options. My husband and I were very impressed with the customer service we received here. It turned out that they didn't have the exact color of vinyl planks that we were looking for. We told them upfront that we had planned on doing our floors ourselves and hadn't purchased any flooring materials from them and yet they were still very forthcoming with their knowledge by giving us tips and helping us out with all of the questions we had. Not once did we receive any attitude for not having gone through them for installation. I am truly surprised at some of the 1 star reviews for this location because we had nothing but top notch customer service. The next time we have any flooring needs I will definitely keep them in my mind. read more

(they told me 2 weeks) called them and they said yeah we have it.. then I come in but they are missing 1 box.. they called and left me messages to come in.. I drove in and nothing.. called me again then I came in again... oh sorry it's actually in Salem.. 4th time made me wait almost 45 mins for them to find it!! Now I see why they always have new staff.. terrible customer service... I don't even remember an apology for all my wasted time... FYI I live 20 miles away!!! In November of 2016 my wife and I decided to remove out carpet and have some vinyl laminate flooring (about 1000 sq ft.) installed by Lumber Liquidators, we chose a mid range product that we liked and had them do the carpet removal and the install, after about 6 months we noticed that some of the joints were starting to come apart, we notified them and they sent the same installers out to do some basic glue up repairs, the repairs seemed to last for awhile but then started coming apart again, and since then, I have more gaps opening daily, I then notified them again and we were told that even though the flooring has a lifetime guarantee, the installation is only guaranteed for 1 year, and we were beyond that time, this policy makes absolutely no sense to me...... I did call corporate and file a claim, after several weeks they sent out an inspector to look it over, he came up with a variety of reasons why the floor was failing, I would have assumed that prior to them installing and during installation these apparent problems would have been brought to our attention, but no mention was ever made, they did agree to refund me $2000.00 for the cost of the flooring but absolutely $0.00 for the install which cost equally as much, their claim department made me feel like I was trying to pull something on them and seemed very reluctant to give me anything at all. So the bottom line is, I now have a floor which is basically falling apart and doesn't make me feel very happy just looking at it, so the lesson learned is not to buy from LL and do your homework on your specific flooring needs, buy from a smaller local business, that is where I will shop next time.... read more

Good prices on flooring, but it was extremely difficult to get them to follow through with our delivery and installation. It took months and multiple phone calls just to get the flooring delivered. We had a few issues with the installation and have still not had them resolved after 2 months. We have to call constantly only to get the run around and be told that someone will call back. Nobody ever calls back. I would never use them again. Not worth the hassle. read more

Waited 20 minutes ~ 2 sales people both with customers and they would not even look over to acknowledge we were there, tried again a few days later, exact same thing but we waited, finally got help. decided to not give store business and buy from the online. Ordered 2 12' Maple counter tops, both looked the same out of the box and when cut and installed. It was only after they were oiled did they both look different. My wife called the store and the manager started in about how wood is natural and varies a bit ~ these were two clearly different species once oiled. He told her to go to a paint store and get some stain but they still wouldn't look the same and how its our responsibility because if someone got a Toyota & a Honda delivered they would know the difference. She asked his name & his boss's name and he started laughing at her. She asked for the corporate number, he kept laughing as he gave it. We asked them for the VP of store operations email address and they will not give it out. They are finally sending us a new piece but we are on the hook to pay for demo, cutting and re-install. Had been looking for hardwood flooring for awhile. Came across the Lumber liquidator booth at a home show. Talked to Demitri. He is great. He answered all my questions and invited me to the new store on Glisan st. A few weeks later, my wife and I stopped by. Demitri greeted us, remembered us from the home show and showed us around. We decided on Bellawood Acacia. It is absolutely beautiful. I installed it myself, all 1100 sq ft. Demitri was great at answering all my questions. It was a great experience. read more

The manager was super helpful and knowledgeable - we were able to get exactly what we wanted and are thrilled with the end product. I only give one star because that is the minimum stars allowed. I bought some jinse bamboo threshold and was told I would be called in two weeks to when it came in. A month later I go in and they couldn't find the order or my number. I had to go home and get my receipt. They said only part of the shipment came in and the rest they would get from the other stores and call me within the week. Two weeks later I went in and asked if there phones were working because they didn't call me. They couldn't find the order and it was the same person I purchased from and interacted with every time. I had my receipt and he said it wasn't there and he would FedEx from another store and it would be at my house by Monday. A week and a half later and no threshold so now I will be lodging a complaint at the better business bureau. The manager is an idiot and that is putting it lightly. He should be fired and they have lost all future business even if I have to pay an increased price. Good luck if you go there the customer service is garbage and the business ethics of that store are trash. read more

At first visit everything went well, good selection and decent customer service, after making our decision among many choices we went back a couple days later to make our purchase. Deal is made, money is exchanged, I'm told to pull around back and we'll load you up, then Travis comes out and tells us the flooring we chose is in high demand and what's in stock is promised to other clients, I'll call you in a couple weeks when more is in, 3 weeks later and no phone call I have to go back in and see Travis again, now he's going to call me the next day and let me know what's going on, yea... No phone call. 3 days later I call and speak to someone else, they're going to call me back after they find out what's going on, yea....No phone call. 2 days later I call again, Travis finds the flooring and I get to drive down to another store and pick it up myself. 4 weeks later I have the flooring! This was by far the WORST customer service I've ever received from a retail store! If you must buy from Lumber Liquidators, choose another location and hope the entire chain does not have the same service policy. read more

I purchased 1300 sq ft of the Driftwood laminate. Naturally I was nervous about it. Not only is it a big investment but it is also my newly built home that I intend to live in for quite a while. Well, it is in and it looks sensational. Everyone comments on how beautiful it is. It is also remarkably durable as I have dropped things on it without leaving so much as a mark. Dimitri, at the store on Glisan, was extremely helpful and very patient as I made a few changes and additions along the way. Couldn't be happier with the price, service and final outcome. read more
