Worst customer service. Home Depot online is a JOKE. I ordered a mini fridge from Home Depot online. 1. The order came damaged in 4 different spots 2. The outside box was not damaged by any means 3. Which tells me that Home Depot repackaged a damaged fridge and sent it to my house. I talked to Home Depot support and said that they could have USPS pick up the unit at my house with timeframes ranging from 6am to 8pm. They said I could set the fridge on my porch and USPS can pick it up that way (so someone can steal it and I'm out my refund, no thanks) and then they said I could order another fridge but I would have to pay for it and I can't just SWITCH the fridge out. I said no thanks because I'm apprehensive that the same thing will happen. So I had to take my time, energy and money to drop off this damaged item I paid full price for. I go to the store take it back and process the refund. The next day I check my Home Depot account and realized I was DOUBLE charged for the fridge. $259.67 for fridge + extended warranty and 2 other separate charges - 1. For the fridge $222.59 and 2. $37.08 for the extended warranty independently. I called Home Depot support to tell them I have been double charged and they tell me it must be a glitch but they are processing a refund for the $222.58 and $37.08. I got a call about 10 hours later (20 minutes ago about) for the lady to argue with me on the phone saying that the reason I got called the $259.67 was when they ship the item, but it should have dropped off once I got the item and the $222.58 and $37.08 was the actual charge. BUT get this, she stands ten toes down that I wasn't charged TWICE but yet, she recommends I take it up with my BANK and that everything on their side was handled.. We ordered six new exterior doors with installation, and from the date of purchase, it took 11 months for the project to be completed--an unacceptable timeline for what should have been a straightforward job. There were eight separate installation attempts, and every single one had issues. These included: doors ordered in the wrong size, doors installed backwards or opening the wrong direction, doors not matching the model or style we selected As a result, we had partially installed or incorrect doors for months, affecting our heating bill, home's security, and appearance. Throughout the process, the company took little accountability. They routinely failed to communicate proactively or resolve issues efficiently. Apologies were given, but no meaningful action followed. Their offer to "make it right" never translated into real support or resolution. To make matters worse, when I finally requested a partial refund, I had to visit their store daily for a week just to get any movement. Even then, they were unable to process the refund in a timely or professional manner due to internal IT issues and poor follow-through. No compensation was offered for the delay, repeated errors, or inconvenience we endured over nearly a year. I cannot recommend this company for door installation or customer service. This was my second time shopping this Home Depot located off Princess Anne. I'm more in the Lowe's camp, but needed necessary hurricane supplies that I confirmed they had. The store is typical big box hardware, so my four star review is for inventory and service which I found to be both excellent for what I specifically needed. I called ahead and confirmed they had gas generators which I had been in search of for Hurricane Florence. From the time I stepped in the store staff was up front to service customers with their storm supply needs. It took me only moments to talk with a clerk about a generator. They received 200 Ryobi's in at 8 AM. The pricing for the item was fair at $699. I discussed the return policy within 30 days if boxed and sealed. The item had to be cash/card carry, not holding of item. Checkout was efficient and I learned Home Depot can track your receipt by credit card if the paperwork is lost. The customer can also request an email receipt. A male clerk was offered to assist me in carting my order to the truck. This is a service they offer for larger items, make sure you ask if not offered. A better than average experience based on other HD visits. I would like to mix this store in and hope they can keep up the high level of service I appreciated. read more

I took pictures the day I was in the store of the grill. And I purchased a grill that needed to be assembled and never been removed out the box. unfortunately they sold me something a grill that was trifling bang up, paint, pollen , and absolutely dirty. This is more of a DIY Home Deport. If you know exactly what you need and where to find it, then this Home Depot is for you. Unfortunately, the customer service at this location needs to be greatly improved. Perhaps, this location is short-staffed due to the pandemic, but it is nearly impossible to find someone to help you. When you find that person, they are somewhat dismissive and/or useless. During my most recent visit, I managed to find someone who was chatting with another customer. They were randomly talking about their families. The employee clearly saw and acknowledged me, but I guess he wanted to speak more about his family's randomness with the other customer rather than helping someone (ie doing his job). Ok fine, no sweat. I managed to flag down another employee, who seemed 100% out of it. I asked my question, but he could not help me because it was not his section. He recommended that I go to customer service to seek assistance. I arrive at the customer service booth, and no one is there. After waiting for about 5 - 7 minutes, someone returned to the booth. I asked my question, and very coldly she said "we do not do that here." I was perfectly fine with Home Depot not being able to do what I request. However, the customer service employee made it seem like I was bothering her by asking my question. My fault, I figured that part of her job was to answer customers' questions. After spending about 20 minutes getting the runaround, I ended my Home Deport journey just as I started . . . empty-handed. read more

My husband and I live near this Home Depot. We have done quite a lot of shopping there in the past. Recently my husband made a purchase in the store and requested his military discount at the register, which he has done many times. The cashier informed him that he needed to have their "app" on his "smart phone" to get the discount. He asked her what could he do if he didn't have a smart phone. She responded, I don't know. When I checked online I found that the procedure at the register with the app and your smart phone is so convoluted that most veterans would not use it. The time involved would be enough to anger anyone waiting in line. Home Depot has succeeded in making it very difficult for veteran's to access this discount. I went to Home Depot to find and purchase not overly expensive plant pots for some cacti I had gotten from Etsy (by the way, on Etsy the selection and variety of cactus is amazing). I was focusing on the plastic pots - the ceramic ones were a bit pricey, especially for plants that will outgrow the pot and they were not real decorative or unique in form. I have finished my searching and tonight and tomorrow will be potting 12 plants - a few are elephant foot or ponytail plants, others are of the actual cactus plant brand. I'm sorry that I can't take a photo when they are all in their pots. The Home Depot staff were very helpful and put the big bag (that's all they had) of pea pebbles in my cart. When I got to my car another customer who was in the lot parked close to me (a nice young man) lifted the pebbles into my car. With my broken foot and weak self got creative and move the pebbles out of the car and into the condo. read more

Home Depot is ok to go to as long as you don't need help or have a project you are working on. We went there to have storm doors and exterior doors installed. In order to get that done we have to have measurements taken before we select our doors. This is beginning to become an all too familiar story. I don't know if they don't pay attention or don't listen. Either way it's unacceptable. The low rent contractor called me about 10 mins at the end of their two hour window to inform me that they would not be here on time. No surprise there. They also said they were only measuring storm doors because that's all that was in the system. Absolutely not what we made the appointment for. I tried to call customer service to get it fixed and they forwarded me to the store. I asked to speak to a manager to fix and they forwarded me to doors. Of course no one is working there today. Instead of forwarding me back to a manager or anyone, they send me to a customer service survey and then hang up on me. There is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. I ended up just going into the store and getting a refund. Leave the professional work to the professionals. No more low rent companies or contractors for me. Brandon McCall the field manager has been extremely unaccommodating. Had a door installation July 1st in which I paid for a door haul away that they left in my backyard. Also charged me for an extra person to help with the door delivery. I ended up helping with that but had my money refunded for that service. It is now august 3rd and the door is still sitting in my backyard. Multiple calls and emails have gone to him unanswered. The contracting company Home Depot has been informed but they have also done nothing to help. Home Depot is a paradox. It takes all the things that men hate to do and their wives nag them about and make them seem fun! My wife has laughed at me because I'll go to Home Depot for something and get these ideas in my head of projects I'd like to accomplish, buy the materials and then leave them in the garage for 3 years. This is a great location in my opinion. I've always been able to find help and the employees are all very knowledgeable. It's positioned in a great location right across the street from Walmart and all of the fast food joints on this side of Lynnhaven. I think that my only complaint about Home Depot, which in reality has nothing to do with them directly, is that Johnnyboy's food cart is no longer doing business outside the main entrance. I used to make up excuses to go to Home Depot just to get a sausage sub with onions and mustard. :( read more
