A 5 star experience for a recent Mother's Day arrangement of flowers…read more There is no day like Mother's Day and making it special for Mom. So the idea of a permanent planted arrangement seemed like something perfect for the patio. McDonald's was contacted over the phone a week + out before Mother's Day. I worked with Patrice who emailed different ideas they could do from pots to plants etc. He was so passionate about his trade and left me even more excited that he alone would be the point. Ultimately hydrangeas was chosen as the plant with sweet potatoes. They had many pots to choose from, but a more neutral with a butterfly seemed perfect. The cost was $97. Patrice assured that the plant would be watered and ready for pick up days before Mother's Day. On Saturday I went to McDonald's and after locating Patrice he rolled the plant out. I must say I was overwhelmed with the size. It was huge and gorgeous! Patrice did a video of care instructions as he took ownership of seeing everything through. He also at no charge through in a ceramic tray to hep with transport, but also for any leakage of water with a weep hole at the bottom. The delivery was marvelous and enjoyed by Mom. I cannot say enough positive about this experience. Other staff assisted me and were helpful and enthusiastic about their job. You just don't see this in other big box places ole Lowes and Home Depot. McDonald's is a one stop locally owned since 1947 garden center. They can do it all and the visit is impressive to see the selections. Highly recommend.

If it wasn't such a drive, I would go to Lowe's. If I'm going to have to search for something I might as well pay less for it. This is why people shop online. Brick and mortar businesses need to wake up. At this point you're nothing more than convenience stores for whatever items you sell. Customer service and location are the last things you have going for you. This is sad for me to write because I grew up in a family hardware store where the expectation was to greet your customers, always help customers find what they need, and ensure that they have a good experience while in your business.

Tucked away near the Ghent area near, Nine Twenty-Two delivers in aesthetics, plant selection and more. Considered a lifestyle shop, Nine Twenty-Two also had a great selection of natural candles and incenses, small gifts such as cards and mugs, skin/body care, flower bar and even boutique style dresses and the cutest fitting room. I strongly recommend AGAINST this business. For instance, his secretary called me saying that she saw a missed phone call from me from the previous day and was returning my call. Then about 10 mins later, she calls back with her boss (the owner) on the line. He proceeded to berate me and speak over me. Seriously? Also, they pay no attention to what your contract says and will keep coming out despite you telling them to stop. Then proceed to charge you despite not having the proper documentation to do so. The owner, Ian, is extremely aggressive and attacked me verbally and said that I "refused" to pay. (Which mind you is not the case at all, I never refused, I just simply forgot...blame it on a bad memory) I have NEVER dealt with such an unprofessional business owner. If he was hurting so badly for the little amount I owed him (which I technically didn't owe since I wasn't under contract anymore), I would've thought he would have tried to keep me as a customer. He made NO attempts to rectify the situation, only attempts to attack me verbally. Its shame because the people that work under him are absolutely WONDERFUL, even the secretaries. It's also a shame that his business is not on the BBB because I would be filing a complaint as we speak, which is probably another reason not to patronage this business.

I let him know our budget of $600 for flowers and over the phone he estimated that what we wanted would likely come out to just over 1,000 with Sunflower Florist. Sunflower Florist was the first floral shop I reached out to and when I told Justin this, and he sensed my sticker shock, he told me to take some time to think on it and to reach out to other florists in the area to price compare. I was surprised that he advised the latter but really respected and appreciated his suggestion. As I researched other florists and thought more about what we wanted, Justin continued to check-in and follow up to see if we were still interested in having the shop do our wedding flowers. While, we ultimately accepted a kind offer from a coworker to arrange our flowers, we really appreciated Justin's follow-up and customer service.

Arrangements offered by others weren't right for my artistic friend's elegantly designed and furnished home and tastes, nor the expression I'd hoped to achieve. THE NEW LEAF's, however, were phenomenal. I was blown away! Never had I seen such beautifully designed arrangements -- indeed, "beautiful floral designs" -- which is why I chose them. I selected "Soft Serenity" for the balanced trio of greens, lilac and whites, and balanced artful composition, too -- only to be sad seeing what'd arrived had substituted some yellow and other flowers. Uh-oh... Calling Dina with my disappointment, however, I was kindly offered either a refund or to send again. We worked closely to ensure that softly serene design I sought for comfort was replicated as closely as one can... I'm so glad I did! My friend was just over the moon with superlatives! While the first was nice, the second was absolutely Wonderful, she'd said. And just now on the phone she shared how the arrangement was simply Magnificent. "Wonderful" and "Magnificent" are pretty exceptional descriptors of their designs... All-in-all, a terrific value and experience. At first visit, Sara and James were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. My vague wishes: "she likes low maintenance, maybe an orchid or an arrangement in the $75 range." She offered to create a fresh and unique arrangement in summer colors AND have an orchid dressed so I could choose; she even ok'd pickup outside of their normal hours. Turns out, I ended up needing it a day sooner...and they came through, calling to update me when needed. At pick-up, James said "I saw this peach double orchid and knew it was for your friend." That's personalized service at its finest!

Before my neighbor introduced to me The Neighborhood Harvest I was getting my greens and veggies from the local Food Lion or Krogers. It was difficult to find organic produce that wasn't already ready to go bad. The greens and veggies I get every week are SO FRESH and DELICIOUS! I typically get kale, cucumbers and a bag of the Green Machine blend which is perfect for my daily green smoothies! There hasn't been a time yet that the greens haven't been perfect, never wilted or smelly! We recently tried the fresh apple cider, it was SO GOOD! We just got a notice that they are having fresh cookies as well so we are definitely going to place an order for those as well! I especially love that I am assigned to my own Neighborhood Harvest representative who checks in with me periodically to make sure I am a happy customer. I get text messages of any particular deals they are having, last week they were having a deal on pears. I don't mind having to place my ice packs out in my cooler the night before and so far I've never had a problem with my deliveries. I definitely recommend investing your money in their fresh greens which is great for your health.
