Very odd experience here. At checkout I was asked by the lady "are you military" (I assume because I had my RED Friday shirt on) I replied back yes, I am a Veteran. She says "OK, show me your ID and I can give you 10% off". I show here my VA Healthcare Card and she replies "that's a weird one, even though it's not the normal card I'll let you have the discount anyways"...I just giggled and said "first off, I didn't ask you for that discount and second you may want to read up on what a veteran is and what it takes to get a VA healthcare for life." These experiences are why most veterans don't even ask for discounts...it wasn't worth the disrespect to save $1.72 on my order. Let me begin by stating I really appreciate that Home Depot gives military discounts year-round, Especially when it's not required. It is such a nice offer and a benefit for us veterans. Now that was the praise, here comes my grape. Your new app is horrible!!! I really shouldn't have not be forced to download the app on my phone to get the discount that you're offering for the veterans. in my opinion you just want all of our personal information and I can't do that sorry. It appears this is a tactic to discourage the military discounts or it seems like it's more of a hassle for me to get discount without the app. What about us veterans that don't have phones. At this particular Home Depot the girl who stood at the self check out there's actually three of them one cashier was open she said she couldn't use hers or corporate would take her discount card away. Like most places, Home Depot is grossly understaffed. The flooring guy (white guy with a shave head, super nice) helped us... I had to track him down when a line was forming at 8:30am. I felt bad for the poor guy because he was working 2 busy areas. He gets a 5 star review but management and corporate get a zero. This is the 6th time that I've left needing more stuff because I need help and you're employees are spread to thin... AND, it's not like they're busy being cashiers. We live in Melbourne Beach and had impact resistant windows installed by Home Depot in August just prior to Hurricane Dorian. We chose HD over other competitors due to their lifetime warranty. The installation went fairly well however one of the windows has imprinted circle marks on them, one of the screens has a hole, and we are still trying to get HD to install the remaining window trims prior to putting up our blinds. I've tried contacting the installation manager, James Keyser on these issues however for some reason, he refuses to even acknowledge there is an issue or communicate in any fashion how it will be resolved. We love the new PGT 5500 windows however for what we paid for them (over 25K), you would think customer service would be better. read more

I bought impact French doors. Took 2.5 months to come in. Which is ridiculous but average these days. They showed up, damaged... installer showers me before taking off truck.. I sevt him away.. HD blamed installer but that crock of crap. He said it was scratched/ dented when he picked it up... Home Depot Said they would take off couple hundred for it but if they reordered I'd have to wait another 8-12 weeks. I agreed because my insurance rate is pending on this last piece of work. They rescheduled, and no one showed up. After waiting on hold forever.. they called installer. Installer called told me they were never even called to reschedule . I have taken off work twice now .. I don't get paid when I don't work. . Poor poor communication. Poor work ethic. Poor customers service read more

Bought a dishwasher. Scheduled install. Sounds simple enough, right? Nope. Installers were 4 hours late, coming at 8pm to install. After they left the dishwasher leaked all over the floor. It has been 5 days and we are still just getting the runaround. HD uses a company called "Ralph's Dispatch" (which I can only surmise is a mafia front) to do their deliveries and installs. After multiple calls to this outfit, we were informed that they can't get in touch with their subcontractor. That's right, folks, when you buy something from HD, they sub it out and then the sub subs it out. That way, no one is accountable! Pretty awesome for them. Pretty crappy for us. HD management was sympathetic but unhelpful. The decision has been made higher up to use this crappy outfit for deliveries/installs, and no one at the store level can do anything about it. Bob Conway at Home Depot on W. New Haven Ave. was amazing!!! He was so friendly and helpful and quickly helped me find the dishwasher that I needed -he was very friendly and knowledgeable. You could tell he wanted to help make sure I got the right product, and it was obvious that he enjoyed his job helping people. He was able to very quickly find what I needed and set up the delivery and installation for just a couple of days from now! Clearly, he knows what he's doing and is very efficient!!! He was very thorough and spent a lot of time going over (and then printed out) all the options we discussed so that I could review & consider each one when I got home. He also set up the appointment to have all the measurements done so that I could get my estimate on the installation and also set up an appointment for someone to come out and give me an estimate on storm shutters!!! I went there to buy an Echo weed whacker and rocks. Also found an avocado tree. I bought two 50 pound bags of rocks. I have the tail gate down, I place one bag in the bed of my truck and this idiot that was sent out to help me takes the other bag and throws it over the side of the truck. Two things, 1) it could have very easily cracked my truck bed insert, we are talking about 50 lbs, 2) The bag broke and made a damn mess that I was stuck cleaning up. I'm just wondering, where do they hire these morons. I spoke to the manager who was understanding about my concerns but that doesn't take away that it ever happened in the first place. I probably won't ever go back to that store cause I'm still upset about the mess in the bed of my truck and the careless actions of their employee. Purchased carpet just over a year ago that had lifetime installation warranty. I have been working with HOME Depot almost every day for two full weeks trying to get resolved. They have tried to denied claims each call for over five different reasons which I was able to prove them wrong each time. After two weeks they told me that I had to work this out with the installer myself and gave me his number. Of course, the installer is not returning my calls. BEWARE. Will never go to this store again. We bought a Samsung washer. After 3 days it started making loud noises. Called Home Depot and they sent a rep to our home and he said it needed to be replaced. After a few days of not hearing from them we called and they said before they could replace the washer a Samsung rep would have to see it. The Samsung rep came to our home and said there was nothing wrong with it. Now I am stuck with the loudest washer I have ever heard and will have to buy a new one as it will not work much longer the way it sounds. read more

Horrible, horrible,horrible! Bought an Echo lawn trimmer and 2 months later not working. Brought it in for repair and it had to be sent back to Echo for repair with a charge of $50 to ship it out. Waited 2 months and got an email that it was fixed and being sent back to store--that was 9 weeks ago. Talked to manager of store and he was rude and indifferent about the whole situation. In 2014 we purchased an LG washer and at the same time purchased a Home Depot Protection Plan. In 2017 we began having problems with the washer and thinking that we had purchased a 2 year protection plan, we called an authorized LG repair person (recommended by LG themselves). After two or three trips and $200 and many calls to LG by the service person it was determined that the washer was useable, but not fixed. A week ago the washer just siezed up. Found out from Home Depot that we had purchased a 5 year protection plan so we began the process of filing a claim. The repair company came to the house and said that the machine was not repairable and that he would report that to Home Depot. Well long story short, Home Depot denied the claim. Abby, the "supervisor" with no last name told us the reason it was denied but refused to put anything in writing or even give us her last name. It still is not clear to us why the claim was denied. I know people love Home Depot and my husband and I have spent thousands of dollars at Home Depot over the years but trust me we will never shop at Home Depot again and we are telling everyone we know how unhelpful they were in our situation. read more

I have always found the staff at this store to be very helpful , courteous. I purchased an outdoor patio set and while I was picking up the truck they had put the set on a platform substrate and assisted to lift it into the truck. Likewise in the store and Garden area there is 1 gentleman employee that is outstanding , He helped out during the last hurricane and pretty much every time he is working when I have a question he is the go to guy with the answer and a cheerful attitude. As far as contractors, they like the rest of us in Brevard , have a hard time finding quality work, 1 outfit did great work (Doors) and this time after the hurricane no one even called and the one that did had no idea how to do the job ( timer on a water heater). I recently contacted this store by phone for information about Silca Sand for sand filters. The gentleman that answered presented as very accommodating & stated he was at the other end of the store and would have to walk over to the pool supplies to see if they had 150 lbs available. He said he had my phone number and would call back as soon as he reached the appropriate area, I did not realize how large this store was because it has now been over 1 1/2 hours since he told me he would call right back. Stay away. I purchased a complete HVAC system. They subcontracted (as they always do) to a not so local HVAC firm. The install seemed to go well. Then they arrived late for the qc prior to the inspection. They did not call for the inspection until after they were called a second time. The system failed inspection due to a incorrect breaker size in the breaker panel. Then it took forever for them to come back to install the correct breaker. They messed up our order: Originally they said the three special order doors would be delivered in two weeks, near two weeks they said that the doors would not be in for 4 weeks, (that was four weeks from today) we had been receiving text messages at least three times a week stating that the delivery date was November 14th! Today we went to pick them up and were told that the manufacturer wont be sending them until November 29th! Home Depot said they never told us that the 14th was the delivery date! When they repeatedly told us that today was the date, even yesterday and the day before I personally called and spoke to Derrek. I still have voice mails on my phone stating that Nov. 14 was the delivery date and text messages. The store manager said that they "never" said the delivery date was today! What a joke! Something needs to be done! Masonite or Home Depot need to correct this. We are repairing this home from another state and had to fly out twice already! To say the least , I am very upset with Home Depot's ordering system, Masonite's product delivery, and overall treatment as a customer. read more
