Very poor service Urgently needed a new BBQ. Found one online available for pickup. Drove there, almost impossible to find someone to help. Once we found someone he kept shaking his head that this bbq may not be available, taking us around store to look. We found it ourselves, on a top shelf. Guy said he needed a driver to get it down, didnt know when that could be possible. He went to look for someone to bring it from shelf. Never came back, we went to look for him and said we cant wait any longer, we will order it and come back later. He said prob best idea. To order online, had to input tons of info. Once order confirmed a msg said we will hear back within 2 hours about pick up time. This was all a waste of time. Cancelled order and found one at Lowes, cheaper and very smooth process. Came here with my mother in law for tiles for my bathroom and her kitchen. We found great quality items at low prices. Staff were friendly and provided convenient service. We unfortunately came during the weekend the traffic from Costco kinda spill over so parking can be gruesome. read more

Totally incompetent, crappy store. I went to pick up a reserved rental van. Waited for over an hour at the cash register to get the rental. Was told that they could not find the key. No manager assisted in any way, shape or form. I lost my income for a day because these idiots could not find the key to the rental van. Total clown show. No one gave a damn. When I called later to see if I could get a van (with a key) the next day, no one answered the phone. Nice display of how American business has gone into the toilet and customers are treated like dirt. read more

A neighbor got a fridge delivered by Home Depot. Their truck blocked my driveway ane the one next door for over an hour. No one was left with the truck or ever checked to see if people needed to get out the whole time they were there. When they finally came out there was no urgency to get out of the way or even an apology, instead the driver tried to goat a near 70 yr old man into a fight. I went on line to find out if they had stock of (1) quart of sludge treatment for our heating oil tank. The website said they had (11) in stock. I got to the store and there were none on the shelf in Aisle 33. I mentioned this to "Customer Service" and they told me to find "Mike" who is the supervisor of the plumbing and heating section. Didn't waste my time. I just ordered (2) quarts of the item on Amazon and will do so in the future. Their IT Department is obviously not doing physical audits to find out if their data is accurate. read more

This has got to be the worst Home Depot ever. The employees do the absolute bare minimum & give you an attitude when asking for help. This one lady was so rude to me when trying to locate an item, I wish I got her name. Most employees are very dismissive and like to do absolutely nothing. They make it seem like a huge inconvenience to ask for any type of help. Don't even try to ask them to locate an item, they'll make a scene. On a positive note, I've never had a problem with returns & have gotten help at the service desk regarding returns. If you need something high up, just climb up there & get it yourself because they will not move a muscle for you. This place needs all new employees and more people on the floor offering assistance. The selection is average but never has what I'm looking for. Prices aren't the worst but don't ask about an item on clearance, they'll laugh at you. read more

Employees do the 'duck and run', have waited in Hardware for over an hour on a regular weekday with not one Hardware employee available, all managers are 'in meetings' and thus unavailable to resolve problems most of the day. Poor performance across many employees is a reflection of poor leadership. Go here if you don't really need assistance- ever. The location in White Plains is better. read more

The paint staff gets 3 stars! The staff, well certain staff are amazing. The guys in the paint section are great. Guy and Jason were helpful (not that I needed tons of it,lol)Jason was especially knowledgeable about an issue I had encountered and already had properly resolved. must say that this store can be extremely disorganized. Their own inventory app will tell them they have plenty of item X in aisle Y and when they walk you over there, its either empty or something entirely different is stacked there. I suggest you go to the more organized 23rd St or 59th St location or drive out to New Rochelle. read more

Yes, it can be crowded, and, yes, they can be out of a lot of stuff--but this is to be expected in one of the most populous counties in the country. Every time I have visited this location, I've only encountered friendly staff, which is a plus! Understandably, they are often busy helping the swarms of people inside. But, when they are done with other customers, they are always eager to help out. One additional shout out to the post-covid shopping experience here: They have a well-organized system, which is good. Now, instead of having your purchases logged into your ProPlus awards account, you have to SCAN YOUR RECEIPT WITH YOUR CELL PHONE! Yeah, sure! I'm going to invite Home Depot into the private domain of my cell phone, full of client names, a live camera and microphone. And I'm going to save every receipt and remember to scan them in - when? Ordered a new refrigerator. Fine. Asked that the door hinges be placed on the left side rather than the right. Fine. Guess what? They came on the wrong side. Called the customer service number. The guy says "You're right. We'll have someone come over and change it for you. Was scheduled for 4/19 between 12 and 4. Fine. Was able to track their progress as they completed other jobs. I was the last one of 7. Fine. Tracked as the number went down. Just near 4pm I checked again. CANCELLED! What? No courtesy phone call? Nothing! Called customer service. Was put on hold twice. Finally was told that a supervisor would be calling withing 2 hours. Told the woman on the phone that I was setting my clock on my phone for two hours and that someone had better give me an explanation. My alarm goes off two hours later. No call. I call them. Get the run-around, was put on hold twice and then unceremoniously disconnected! Called back furious! Got another person who put me on hold only to come back and tell me that the service truck broke down and they rescheduled me for Saturday at some time of their choosing. I was livid. First, I asked, if I've been tracking their progress all day and it got down to one service before me, that means they did every person on their list but me! Second, don't you think that good customer service would be to schedule me FIRST the next day? Then to listen to their drivel while on hold saying the customer always comes first is total BS. Unless properly rectified to MY satisfaction, this is the last purchase of this magnitude I will every purchase from this company. read more

This review is a little late however, I didn't want the staff to feel like I had forgotten them. A little over a week ago I went to Home Depot to pick up a few items and dropped my car key in the store. I didn't get the names of the manager nor the young lady who allowed me to use the phone. They were very helpful. I called AAA and sat in front of Home Depot for 4 hrs, waiting for a tow. I was prepared to pay the cost when Paula, a worker, came out the store with my key. I was so grateful because I had thanked God, earlier, for letting one the workers find my key and bring it to me. Won't He do it? Yes He will and He did. Also, lunch is still on, Paula. Online ordering is so annoying. You order something that is in stock, then they cancel the order because it's not in stock. They took so long to process my order that someone purchased it out from under me. That happened one two different purchases in one day. When I called them they said "sorry, the system doesn't work so good." You have to be kidding. When I asked for help, they put me on hold for 20 minutes before I hung up. On Thursday 5/2, we had a delivery from Tempco (Home Depot) - washer & dryer. Patrick & Edgar were very professional. 20 minutes before the delivery received a call from Patrick letting me know they will be there in 15 minutes & we talked about the Set up & made me feel very comfortable. The tenants also were there when they showed up & everything went very smooth. We also had stairs heading up along with a Stair Lyft the old tenants had left behind & they were able very slowly to lift up & over and didn't damage the walls or the 2 appliances. Thanks so much for helping & caring. Its not hard finding people that go above & beyond for their work these days. read more

This Home Depot is the worst ever. Ordered an expensive countertop. Got a call to come to in to process a refund... guess what? Took an HOUR to get it done. Why? ONLY 1 person in the entire store knows how to do it!!!! First person I spoke to asked another associate for help - that associate couldn't take 2 minutes to answer, so she took 45 minuets with her client while the other associate just left me. Perhaps they should hire more ppl that know what they are doing. Never again will I order anything major from this place. Good thing Lowe's is just a couple of minutes away in the ridge hill mall. read more

If there is a silver lining to COVID19, it's the courtesy and understanding of everyone when it comes to waiting in long, social distancing lines. The line outside of this Home Depot wrapped around almost the entire store front but it moved fast enough. This control of the flow of customers allowed for not only the safety of everyone but also gave the Associates inside the ability to actually do customer service. The Associates seemed not as overwhelmed and much friendlier. The cutting center associates in particular were both amazing and had the time to assist me in what seemed like a monumental task of picking the right lumber and cutting it down to specific sizes. They took their time and helped me get my project done right even as closing time (8pm) loomed closer and closer. Unfortunately I didn't get their names but it was a great team of an older gentlemen with a younger man that took turns helping me. I appreciated their efforts and patience. The checkout process was also well under control and fast moving given the amount of people on line. read more

How anyone can give anything but 1 star is mind boggling (would be zero if there was a zero). What a dump. In complete disarray. Went to pick up an item ordered online at the pickup desk. Person mumbles 'outside'. I go outside stepping over garbage and mangled outdoor items. It's a big outside, wait a few minutes. I come back in - looking around. What a mess the entire place is. I ask another person at the pickup desk about where to pick things up. 5 mins later (20 mins all in) - the box appears on a cart - completely mangled. Rather than deal with that, or buy the other items on my list - I just took it and left - didn't want to spend another minute in the place. If the item is busted - then I'll deal with it. Lowes is 100x more organized and clean just up the road. Maybe it's because I only speak English. read more

Once again I ask myself why did I think this trip to Home Depot would be any better than the last. Absolutely disgusted by the customer service I got. Specifically from the older man with the red hat in the back where they sit at the table, I think by the cabinet section. So I found a mirror online I wanted to get. The home Depot site said there were 4 in stock at Yonkers store. So I tried finding them myself first. (Yes I was looking in the right area.) I checked all the bar codes, boxes, anything and everything with info on it. Nothing even close to the mirror online. I pulled the web page up to make sure I wasn't mistaken. I wasn't so I had to get help. The first girl I came across didn't even know where mirror were. No help there. So I came across the old man in the red hat sitting at the table, doing absolutely nothing, so u figured he would gladly help. That is their job, right,,? WRONG. He had no intention on getting up from his chair or even entertaining me with information, even if it was total bull. Made me feel like I how dare I disturb his resting time on the time clock with my customer question. And brushed me off down some isle he pointed to with his head. Can you really get any lazier. I was shocked and felt so insignificant I left. The MGMT must not have that much better customer service training either. I know these reviews are read bc I've been contacted by a mgr from somewhere else thanking me for a review. I see many ppl have had similar experiences with this store. I'm a new homeowner. I needed carpet replaced in one room and was surprised that multiple people recommended The Home Depot. I used to work in the decorating/home improvement industry so I am fairly knowledgable regarding product. Upon visiting the store I wasn't terribly impressed with the sample selection but I just wanted something clean and affordable, so I booked a measurement appointment. I chose a mid-range carpet with their top-rated padding. The entire process took less than two weeks. The measurer was in and out and once my order arrived, the installers only worked for about an hour! The installers left zero mess, scuff marks, etc. The carpet looks and feels great and is a vast improvement above what was once a high quality, expensive carpet. I'd recommend The Home Depot's carpeting products and services to anyone. On a general note, while I tend to shop local businesses for my home improvement projects, any time I've needed to grab something from this HD their staff has been polite, helpful, and knowledgeable. read more

Home Depot is primarily for contractors, not home owners, business owners, Its a building supply store. Here we find what we require without the need for assistsnce in most cases, tools and other building products, this is not your personal local hardware store where your going to get personalised service. My only issue was when I arrived to order carpet for a friend to install, the women acted falsely confident but turned out to be incompetent. First she charged us in full, faked a delivery date, their driver stated he could not find our address and stated our carpet was in Hawthorne, we drive to Hawthorn, the carpet manager replies, We dont have your invoice nor your precut carpet to obtain, appaulled, I had to do a refund then recharge for instant sale, there we were refunded the delivery charge as well. I went to buy an a/c, and there was one model available for a window unit and 1 model available for a portable one. No one was anywhere nearby to answer questions. I asked for help to find something else, and it was made abundantly clear to me that no one knew what they were talking about. Clearly, these employees are not adequately trained to perform their roles, and have less than no interest in acquiring knowledge on their own. The only time I will return is if I have to return the a/c I purchased, which is looking very likely. read more

Ok....it seriously took my husband and I 20 minutes to locate some plain old window screens. Everyone we asked sent us in a different direction and we ended up just wandering around, aimlessly, looking confused and bewildered. We asked one guy and he told us the item was in the next aisle. We walked up and down and could not find it anywhere. We went back to him, hoping to ask if he could just show us and when he saw us approaching, he grabbed a whole bunch of wood and started to walk away. My husband tried to call out to him and he seriously just ignored us and pretended he did hear. I don't know how you can't hear someone 10 feet from you saying, "Excuse me, sir", when you're an employee. I was almost tempted to bark at one of the uninformed staff members to just bring us to the damned screens so we could get the hell out of there! Finally, we found a manager and she told us EXACTLY where we could find them. I have been coming to this Home Depot for quite some time because it is the closest one to my home but I'd rather go to my neighborhood hardware store than deal with the rude and incompetent staff here. read more
