Just wanted to say Bobby the supervisor was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable. He was able to find the tools we needed to get the repairs done ourselves in a jiffy. Also, the staff was very kind and took their time to look for the right person who could advise us on our repair. This is why I love Home Depot. They usually have staff members who are experienced and knowledgeable in using the actual products or doing repairs (sprinklers, plumbing, paint, etc.)....or if they're not an expert, they will always search for someone on their team who is that can help instead giving me a generic answer. read more

I went in to Home Depot last night in Yucca Valley and was prepared for a hard time . I am not a DIY guy , nor am I about tools , lumber , etc . This was not my mother ship if you know what I mean. I went in at 8:15 - .... Which usually when it's 45 min to close good luck finding anyone helpful that has a personality . I stand corrected. Two night employees Kiersten and James changed all of that . James was in the garden area and they did not have the item I wanted , but James found me a better solution for a better price - he knows his stuff. Kiersten was a life saver and had a wonderfully warm personality and literally made my night . These two made me just about want to work there as they were the kind of people you dream of having as employees . Shout out to the two of you . I will definitely be back ! read more

This is an update to my five-star review from 2018. I've been going to Home Depot regularly since then, and have always found them extremely friendly and helpful. Perfect? No. I had some difficulty trying to get somebody to saw some wood to specific dimensions once, waiting for 25 minutes. But that was an anomaly in what has been a great experience overall. Today, I had to fix leaky shower faucets. I removed the faucet hardware and took it to the store. Less than a minute after entering the store, someone said hello and asked if I needed anything. This sort of greeting happens regularly there, unlike most Home Depot stores. I mentioned replacing some hardware, and he called someone named Brian over. Brian immediately explained everything, walked me around to several bays, and grabbed all the hardware I would need, explaining its purpose, how to determine whether I would need to remove the valve seats, and everything else clearly and methodically. I thanked him, walking off quite literally with a smile, as he could not have been more helpful. I went back home, and was able to install everything exactly the way the way he described. No need to call a plumber. And yes, no dripping. All works great. The latest great experience in what has been almost all great experiences since 2018. I wish all Home Depots were like this. read more

I was struggling on which washer and dryer set to go with and went in to the store to learn more about them. Man am I glad I did ! I had the pleasure of speaking with Julia Castillo in the appliances section who answered all of my questions and really help me narrow down the right one for me. Having her set up my order to be delivered and applying for a consumer card was a breeze . I get so overwhelmed with big purchases and the peace of mind I now have knowing I made the right decision all due to Julia's amazing customer service and attention to detail took all the anxiety I get with making sure I picked the right one . Ok. This is splitting hairs, but I bought a piece of trim sold by the foot. It was 4'11 and 3/4 in, and the end was broken anyway. I needed 4 ft she insisted in charging me for 5 ft. It wasn't a complete 5 ft and even if it was the end was broken. She insisted on charging me for five. That's not treating your customer very nice is it? I should have took the extra time went back cut the 11 in off and went back up and paid for 4 ft. That's a good way to just push your customers away. read more

Out of business? We drove from 45 miles away but the store was randomly closed. Locked up, lights off, nobody there. However there were a few cars in the (shared) parking lot and some signs of recent activity - so maybe they just close down when it's slow & send everyone home like Sears did when they were going under. We ordered a deep freezer from the Yucca Valley Home depot. The guy that delivered it was to worried about being on his phone talking with someone while he was getting my freezer out of the truck. He then proceeded to get it out, put it on top of my flower bush, in which is now damaged. There are 2 steps going onto my porch. He pretty much pushed it down and asked me if I got it from there and left. He could have used a dolly but I guess that was to hard. This is ridiculous. We paid to have it delivered and this is how that happened. Now, we opened it up and it has a dent on the lid and the whole bottom is dented. I'm not going through the trouble of getting it replaced, because in sure the next one will arrive damaged too. I know so many people who shop at home depot and I have shared my story with plenty, and I will keep on sharing. If you are going to charge a delivery fee, then deliver it not damaged. My husband and I placed a window order with Home Depot in January 2023. The man who came to our house to go over the window order with us was helpful at the beginning. When we signed the contract the day he was there, we also paid a deposit. We then reached out to our contact at Home Depot to ask more questions about their window installation process and to request a window schedule invoice. We asked multiple times for this information and never received an email/paperwork with a comprehensive breakdown of windows purchased as well as service/labor costs. After several rude phone calls and in the end, being told we were not entitled to this information, we decided we wanted to forgo the windows and services from Home Depot. The overall negligent nature of the transaction and the provided information led us to feel uncomfortable working with them. We spent hours over multiple weeks on the phone with various people, trying to get to the bottom of what windows and services we paid for. The only information we received was an invoice with an overall total, with no cost breakdown of any kind. After being told there was nothing that could be done to help us, we politely requested instead of a full refund, that we simply receive a store credit for the deposit made. We were months behind on our house project at this point and needed to move forward. In the end, we were forced to forgo the $2,445 deposit because we were told we could receive no help. The overall process felt very negligent and put frankly, shady. We only hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else who is trying to be informed about a high-value purchase that they make at Home Depot. read more

This is the first time I've used HD for any "service" they provide. I'm trying to get flooring installed in my house - flooring came in damaged - which I found out because I called. Flooring should have come in July 5th but they "don't know where it is" - which I found out because I called. No return calls. No one is picking up at the flooring desk. I've had to actually go in the store in person to get response - even then I end up waiting and waiting while they page someone. Installing company isn't calling. Home Depot isn't calling. No one is sending texts. No one is sending emails. Zero proactive communication and no reactive communication. This is so unprofessional. I say that as a construction professional/project manager of 15 years. Get it together, y'all. UPDATE: After being on hold for 17:31 I got Kelli at the store who called around and found my carpet. The rating for the Home Depot would be negative stars if possible. I bought a washing machine from them. They delivered a machine and their delivery people broke it upon delivery. After 2 weeks of back and forth with Maytag and Home Depot Corporate the manager offered a refund but would not give a full refund. She then said she was doing me a favor in the first place. They delivered and broke the washing machine I paid over $700 for and don't want to refund the cost of the machine and the delivery charge. I will never buy anything from the crooks at Home Depot ever again. The workers are rude and the managers are horrible. DON'T BUY ANYTHING AT HOME DEPOT ESPECIALLY APPLIANCES! Is this a SCAM?! We paid, IN FULL, for all new windows (only 1 window needed custom sizing) and a sliding glass door last year 2022. We scheduled the installation for the beginning of 2023 and the sales person dropped the ball somewhere and the installers came short of 2 windows and brought a broken door! The install team was great and this review is not about them BUT BRETT WEEDA the sales guy and the Project Manager KELLY CRIBBS should be FIRED! Every time I call them I have to explain my situation from scratch (FRUSTRATING does anyone take notes there?!) and they talk to me in Home Depot acronyms like I'm supposed to understand the order form lingo? Then they say they are gonna call me back and don't. I have left messages and still, after 6 months I do not have all my windows and doors that we paid for! What a rip off, scam, and disappointing service. Shaking my head at this! What's my next option? Law suit???!!!! No one is getting back to us. Recently moved to Yucca Valley (10/1/21) and shop this HD as well as both the Home Depot and Lowes in Palm Springs on a monthly basis. With the 2021 pandemic and supply chain issues our experience shopping all 3 have been quite pleasant, professional and friendly. Some of our completed projects with items purchased at all 3 locations have been a retaining wall, ceiling fans, plantation shutters, landscaping and yes even some Christmas decor. We've returned items such as extra unneeded retaining wall blocks, a Christmas light strand that unexpectedly stopped working and a few other misc items ALL without a problem. The return lines can be a little long at times but the staff at all 3 libations have been friendly. When we started our retaining wall the Yucca Valley location didn't have enough block inventory to complete our project and the lady at the service desk had additional blocks delivered from their Palm Springs store. Our experience from start to finish with our plantation shutters, FLAWLESS, BEAUTIFUL just what we anticipated. Our Christmas display brings smiles from neighbors. I hope ALL my honest reviews will help you make decisions. Remember, we're not all perfect, our patience can run thin and everyone thinks that it's their home improvement projects that are most important. With that said, just take a deep breath, relax, stay positive, be kind and smile as everything will turn out just fine. read more

I shop at Home Depot's all over the country and this location is hands down the worst. The employees I dealt with didn't even pretend to care. One guy who was literally doing nothing told me to "go look on aisle 12, it's probably in some drawer". The second employee that I asked for help from, told me "to give her more space" and I was standing 6 feet away! After all of this they sold me the wrong product. Today was a very disappointing experience. Normally the 4 ladies keeping an eye on transactions is good enough. Today I was ridiculed. I was questioned if I had paid for the "paint" and "other items"... Look Karen with the white permed hair. I purchase materials here atleast twice a weekday. For you to walk on after 75% of orders have already been paid for is very un professional. To question is already bad enough being an American Maskless Minority, but then to question items that aren't even in my cart like "paint"... your an imbecile. The worst part is one of the lady verbally saying I got an eye on him and then all the cashiers start laughing?! Wtf?! Management, you should talk to your people. We experienced some incredible customer service from Bryan. We were in over our head with a spa pump replacement project and he totally walked us through multiple solutions. We left the store confident that we could make the repair that we had almost given up on. Bryan went above and beyond. He obviously cares about customers and helping people get projects done right. Employees will hover near the registers and not communicate if they are on/off duty (Allison & Lori specifically we're absolutely no help-- doing their best to avoid any contact). Favorite big box store! Always able to find what I need for my home improvement projects!

I went in this Home Depot yesterday, Wednesday November 18, 2020. The coronavirus infections are going through the roof and just a day or two ago the WHOLE STATE of California was given a mandate to wear face masks outside of our homes. Several states have hospitals that are nearly full or at capacity. I walked by the paint department several times while about my business. There were several people in a fairly crowded line to buy paint. The red haired, pony tailed woman working the paint department wore her mask well below her nose at all times during my time in the store. She works directly with customers just a few feet away. The last time I happened to walk by, the top of her face mask was actually resting on her lower lip! She was just a few feet away from her customer!Both her nose AND her mouth were completely exposed. (I'll get pictures next time.) Where is management? The young man who helped me in blinds wore his mash properly. I appreciated it and thanked him. . A man in appliances had his mask under his nose as he stood right by the isle ready to engage people. These are all employees of Home Depot. What are these people? Hillbillies? IF YOU DON'T WEAR YOUR MASK PROPERLY YOU DEFEAT THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF WEARING ONE! Why effing bother? These people are engaging several times a day with various people in our community. They are a good part of the reason the rest of us have to be extra vigilant. If being unhelpful was an olympic sport, this store would have several gold medalists. The ladies at the returns desk couldn't be less friendly. They are some of the unhappiest, least polite human beings in the high desert. In fact, if I ever have to return anything, I will do so at the Victorville, Palm Desert or Apple Valley stores where it's hassle-free. This is the only store that has actually refused to take items back from me. The management has also left a bad taste in my mouth the few times I've interacted with them. For example: Assistant Manager Mike B. = unwelcoming and useless. They also were not enforcing mask-wearing throughout the height of COVID as other reviewers have mentioned. There is, however, an older lady in the paint department who is extremely cheerful and helpful. Those who frequent the store know who I'm referring to. She is the anomaly. I spend a lot of money at Home Depot and I expect to be treated with respect when I shop. It's a shame that this location, which is the worst store I've been to, is the closest to my weekend home. It's an embarrassment to Yucca Valley. read more

I would have to pick it up at the store and install myself . The 48 hour manufacturers warranty begins when its delivered to the store . Chiming in here for a shout-out the the Yucca Valley Home Depot service team and cashiers. We have remodeled four homes in the area, and have had nothing short of amazing experiences at this location. The customer service desk employees are all knowledgeable, most have worked there a long time, and can handle quick returns on multiple cards, purchases, and online and in-store orders (this sometimes gets complicated and they all handle it with speed). The paint department is amazing with long-time employees also. Home and Garden Center is well-stocked with a nice separate entrance and exit, like all Home Depot's. Tuff Shed representative is knowledgeable also. Cashiers are fast and friendly and always have dog treats. We have special-ordered windows and appliances, all without a hitch. I feel grateful that this store is in the area to accept in-store orders also, this is a revelation when you are unable to ship to the job site for any reason. read more

Horrible Customer Service. We started an estimate for carpet the beginning of June. When we received it, it was wrong; we asked for a carpet estimate, they gave us a laminate floor estimate because the carpet we selected was discontinued. (they should have just called us to come down and choose another) We went back down to choose a new carpet and then we received an estimate that day. The gentleman that helped us with the new estimate was thorough and we liked him but it was his last day as he transferred to another dept. From then on and as of today, (end of July) we still have not had our carpet installed. When we call Home Depot for assistance (they sub contract out to Carpet Pros) they are put off and bothered and are short with us. Each time I call carpet pros (three times so far) I'm told that someone will call me back. They don't. Do not order carpet through Home Depot..or Carpet Pros for that matter. I ordered a kitchen remodel on March 1 st I was told it would be installed by May 24 th I started calling a few days before that to verify it's on target no one called me back went several times the gal wasn't there finally tracked her down she gave me a face as if I was annoying her I asked what's going on I haven't heard from anyone she said "oh let me look" "well it looks like it's going to be delayed should be around June 1st. Needless to say that day came and went. The other staff there said that she's the only one who can help but she's on vacation. Finally one lady finally was able to find my order and now maybe around 6/18 or who knows. It's a nightmare home office doesn't do anything either Think Twice before you do anything with them. I'm stuck but you don't have to be. DONT USE THEM. Save yourself the aggravation. read more
