Once again, man behind counter proved himself incompetent of a customer service job! VERY argumentative and pretty much told us we don't know what parts we need....husband worked 20+ years as mechanic! Other worker sold us a seal we needed and because we needed a total of 4, ordered 3 more for next day pick up. Yeah......wrong parts. Wrong parts ordered or shipped from other store, who knows, but still incompetence. This is not the first time, this is business as usual for this O'Reilly's store, pitiful. How long will it take for corporate to take notice and clean up this store? The managers allow this angry behavior from workers.... I'll just order from Amazon, the correct parts arrive quicker and cheaper. The worst for customer service! We needed Veriscan diagnostics, kept us waiting for 40 mins till we walked out. The big Latino guy with the beard was blatantly ignoring us for some reason and worried on serving his regular customers who he knew by name. I knew my Tacoma's battery was getting low. I was nervous about buying a battery and trying to put it in myself after work in the dark. They are so heavy and I was so afraid that I might drop it. I called O'Reilly auto parts and right away, they located a battery that was perfect for my truck. Told me to bring in the truck and they would assist me in the installation of the battery. They never made me feel like I was a burden. This gentleman is absolutely awesome. I have always gone to O'Reillys, but I've never been one to write a whole bunch of yelp reviews. However, these people are exceptional. He made sure my battery was in tight. And he had me start the truck while he was standing there to make sure everything was working well. Living 30 miles from yucca valley I always call ahead to insure the the part I need is in stock or I order it before I drive 60 miles round trip for nothing. # time I have called ahead to insure the part was available and was told that they had 10 one time 6 another and 1 and 4 in stock. each Time that I drive to get the part only to hear that I can not find it and the inventory is wrong. only to drive away angry and waist fuel. and when I call to complain. The manager that I talk to is the same person that did not help me at the counter. Yesterday, 5/14/2020 I went here to purchase a new cabin filter in hopes it would eliminate the bad odor in my car vents. I wasn't sure how to install it in my car. This is a shoutout to the assistant manager at this store, I'm sorry I didn't get his name. He was very kind, friendly and helpful. He offered to replace the air cabin filter for me. This man went above and beyond in providing great customer service. He removed the old air filter, a rodents nest and the source of the odor..... a dead rodent in the ac vent. Called in and asked about a part was told they had it in stock for $70 drive from 29 palms to get it and then they tell me it's 160 I asked why they would tell me $70 on the phone ic it's $160 and the guy there was just super rude. I purchased radiator hoses for my Honda Accord today 7/25/22 at O'Reilly store in Banning. CA. I was greeted by the employees as I walked into the store. 2 things I needed for my cars. First I need motor oil and second I need radiator hoses. I noticed their prices way too much than at Walmart for the same brand. So I said ok I will get them at Walmart by my house in Yucca Valley. So I only purchased the radiator hoses from this store. It costs me almost $55 for both hoses. OmG I haven't changed hoses in a long time I don't remember if I ever paid that much. Anyway...on my way home I called Autozone in Yucca Valley and they told me the price for top hose for $16.xx and the lower hose for $22.xx So I decided to stop by O'Reilly in Yucca Valley not too far from Autozone. As I walked Into the store I was greeted by 2 employees. I asked one of the guy if the price match with Autozone they said yes but I need a proof. I replied in a very nicest way if they can't price match then I have to return the hoses due to I have no proof and the guy Mike O said "I just can't take words and we don't make phone calls" (maybe I should make this bold to show that he was very rude). I explained to him That I just called Autozone before I got here. Man! He was very rude. I was so polite spoke very low tone and I let him know that his voice is very unpleasant to me I told Mike that I was a store manager and I don't talk to my customers like he did. I advised him to change the way he talks to the customers as I walked out the store. Mike did credit my card back for the amount. I want to suggest to O'REILLY upper management to give him more training so this issue won't happen again. I like to shop at O'REILLY and their competitors too. This review won't stop me for going back to O'REILLY. Good customer service will bring more profits and will create more jobs more people will be working and will improve our economy. I went there, they were helpful but they had to order a radiator which was to come in the very next day...but instead it didn't because they ordered a o 2 sensor. This unfortunately set us back a day and created scheduling problems for the installer. Won't be back. read more

Ordered parts, to the tune of $ 260...something, plus tax. When I ordered in store, the clerk was wearing mask and he was wearing it properly, over nose and mouth; hardly anyone in the store, and all wore masks, some even gloves. Today, when I went to pick up my order, staff had their masks around the chin, but not covering mouth, beards, or nose. Several customers were not wearing masks at all. Sadly, I left the store and refused my order, mostly because the management said they need to have fresh air and that is why they are not wearing masks and won't make their customers do it either... So, while their parts and such are ok, the chain needs to rethink their approach to this huge issue, and help spread the virus. I will not shop at Oreillys ever again due to their ignorance and poor approach to the issues with Covid, clearly at hand. Fortunately, there are better options even in my small town, where pricing and quality is not worse or better. So, good bye Oreilly, at least to my business of 5 cars and much DIY work. read more
