Glad we tried this California brut Rose Cava!

Our favorite Farmington area restaurant is always a good choice. The food is flavorful;the cocktails different (but not really weird), and the team is friendly and attentive. Our server, Jordan, quickly got our cocktails while we looked at the specials. My winter gin cocktail was tasty and looked great. The truffle lemon artichokes and balsamic glazed roasted Brussels were a great start and a full meal for my wife as well. I chose the bbq bahn mi - loved it. Had so much bbq pork, and the cilantro, jalapeño, and pickled carrots added some spiciness. Am glad it was on a fresh baguette - too often they aren't at other restaurants

This place has such potential. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very nice and comfortable inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The hostess was very nice and we were seated right away. The waiter was personable and attentive when he was not running, but obviously over stretched. After waiting for food for half an hour he brought rolls and an apology. Another half hour and the food arrived. My husband enjoyed his salad very much and the first few bites of the Chicken Parm was delicious and then it tasted smoky. I looked at the under side and found it was burnt, the 2nd one was worse. I didn't have time to wait for another, so I scraped off the breading and finished it and some pasta. When I showed the waiter he immediately went to his supervisor to see what could be done and they gave me a choice of getting another or a reduction in my bill. I saw the supervisor taking the burnt one in for the chef to see. I truly appreciated their making it right procedures.

Limited hours with a break between lunch and dinner

We went here with friends for lunch and no one was disappointed. We sat at an outside table on a pleasant day. Our young server was stretched a bit with also having inside tables to serve, but she was very nice and accommodating, and we had a good chat while we were waiting through the various stages of the meal. I had the Reuben and it was excellent and the French fries were fine. I ordered a side of onion rings and they were a bit more crunchy than I prefer, but you can't win them all. It could even be the way they were intended to be, and you might prefer them that way. The draught beer seemed a bit pricey for my budget ($8), but they had several Maine brews to choose from along with bottles, wines and other drinks. I stuck with water this time. Our friends were happy enough with their choices (which by the way were somewhat limited to pub food). One had a turkey sandwich and the other a chicken salad. Their in house potato chips were pretty good. So if we find ourselves in college-town Farmington a few more times for lunch I would not hesitate to return there. But you know how it is: our next visit or two will find us trying out different restaurants!

Nice place in center of town. Brussel sprouts were amazing. No kids menu but they were able to do pasta with butter. They have some half sandwiches, so 1/2 BLT was good for kids too. Nice staff. Quiet and spacious, with a nice bar area separate from dining.

The service was fantastic. She was super attentive. My husband got a club sandwich that was humongous and I got a grilled cheese with bacon. I was feeling the need for comfort. While we waited, my husband got that sunfish beer he liked so much one of the other bars we went to, and I got a mango margarita with spicy tequila . I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised with my drink. It was top-notch. The server talked about how they're looking at better ingredients and how they work on their seasonal drinks not something you expect from a college dive bar. Our sandwiches came out. My husband's was huge, and mine was perfectly cooked, as well as had fantastic amount of bacon on it. I don't know if this place is trying to be better than it once was or if it's just consistently good but it's really something that we would do again if we were in town .

Don't know why that was, all you have to do is pour it into a glass and serve it. Wings weren't great, kind of bland. The mango habanero wasn't really spicy and didn't have great flavor. My burger was cooked medium, pretty well cooked but was dry and not really juicy. Quesadillas were average and my brother liked his food. I would really only come back here if it was the last resort.

The panko shrimp were large with a crisp outer crust, the Santa Fe burger was flavorful, and the haddock was cooked perfectly. I had a Bissell Brothers IPA and a Trillium IPA. Both were great beers, but they were served in the "fancy glasses," and after checking the volume against a pint water glass, it was clear they weren't full pours. The Trillium was roughly 12 oz and the Bissell around 10 oz. When I asked, I was told they change the volume based on alcohol content. At $9 a glass, I expect a full pint unless otherwise stated. To show the difference in pour size, I took water from the pint‑size Coke glass and poured it into the "fancy" beer glass they used for my IPAs. The fancy glass filled up, and the water left behind in the pint glass is the amount of beer you don't get with their short pours. It clearly shows the fancy glass only holds about 10-12 oz, and the remaining water in the pint glass represents the missing beer compared to a full 16‑oz pint. Essentially, a 12 oz pour means you're being shorted one‑quarter of a beer. At that rate, a full pint would cost $12. And with a 10 oz pour, a full pint would work out to $14.40. Everything else was excellent, but the beer pour practice feels misleading. Most people ordering draft beer expect a pint, and the menu doesn't indicate otherwise. Great food and service, but the beer pours should be clearly disclosed. I recommend eating here, just ask for a pint glass!
