Have not seen any work they have done because the guy came and got an estimate on Wednesday and said he would contact me by Friday to give me a quote. Well here it is Wednesday the next week and I haven't heard anything from them. They might not want my business but if they can't give me a phone call or email 5 days after their scheduled date, i don't want them doing my project anyway. As long as I am alive, I will use the services of Honey Do. These guys are phenomenal. We hired them to tear down ceiling tiles in our 2-story home, to replace it with drywall, to lay vinyl plank flooring, to install soffit, and to repair a broken entrance bridge to our residence. For two weeks, Chris Spears, has been in our home. This man is a professional. He is detailed, cleans as he goes, and does great quality work. He is courteous, considerate, and very informative about what he is doing, what can and cannot be done and he answered all of our questions. And most surprising, he and the whole team are punctual! After months of various projects that were hired out to fix our money pit home, only Chris has been punctual. The bridge work and soffit work is scheduled for another time but I am confident that if Chris is the employee picked to do the service, he will do a fantastic, professional job. read more

Requested an estimate a month ago for built ins. Individual came out and took measurements and got information from us. Requested I send in via email any photos for ideas of what we were looking for. I sent in the email. It has been a month and I have not received any communication from them with an estimate for the work. If you can get them to commit maybe the job would get done right? I could not say though, I could not get them to even commit to an estimate. read more

This is the 3rd project we hired The Honey Do Service to complete for us; it was a dual project. Once again the work was impeccable. I called with a list of items I want fixed. The gentleman on the phone took down the list and set a time to come over and look those items over. When the man arrived, he had no idea what I needed done. So I gave him a copy of the list and we looked each item over. He said an estimate would be emailed to me. Five days later, I sent THEM an email to let them know I had not received any communication. No response. On the eighth day I sent an email to them with the simple title "You're Fired." I can understand they might have some reason not to want to do the work, but simply ignoring the customer is very unprofessional and just plain rude. read more

Since there is no way to contact them by email, I will use the review page! I have used them twice: the first time a few years ago to replace metal ductwork for the dryer (it extends under the floor to the outside vent) with PVC, and to change out the dryer connection in the utility room. I thought that went ok, but recently decided to sell my house, hired an inspector to identify anything I needed to do. He told me there was debris in the crawlspace that needed to be removed. I crawled under there today and found 5, 5" lengths of the metal ductwork the Honey Do Service guy removed and replaced with PVC, but neglected to remove the debris...a service that I paid for. Plus a small section of the plastic ductwork for the dryer. I even asked him if he took out all the debris and he said he did....it was in the truck. I crawled under there and removed the metal and plastic ductwork from a dark corner of the crawlspace a few minutes ago and it is waiting for pickup by the Honey Do Service. If they do actually read these reviews, I hope they will call me. They have my phone number on file. I would like this debris removed early next week. The second time I used the service was when there was a leak from the Jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom into the crawl space. The man that came... scared me literally to death. He checked the entrance panel to the Jacuzzi area in the bathroom, then the next thing he wanted to do was go outside, remove siding and cut a hole in the wall to get to the leak. He hadn't even been under the house yet! I called the office and told them to send someone else, I had no confidence in the guy! Well, he went under the house, cut out some of the subfloor and said he couldn't find anything there.... came upstairs and decided a large PVC nut needed to be tightened on the PVC connector. That stopped the leak. He went back downstairs to make sure. I ran water in the tub and turned on the jets. No leak. When he came back up, I asked him if he repaired the subfloor and he said he did. Then he packed up and left. I had not heard any nailing, no hammer, no sound that would lead me to believe he had repaired anything, so I called the office. They asked him if he repaired the piece he cut out of the subfloor and he said he had. I asked if someone could come check because I had not heard anything that sounded like repairs were made. Another man came...I think he was their manager.....he checked the crawl space under the Jacuzzi and told me the other guy had not repaired a single thing!!!!! So he did! I will NEVER call them again for any type of project. read more

I must admit I did not actually end up using Honey Do but I still rate them very high. It is Mid November and the temperature is in the low teens as a low. My father in laws furnace or gas line had a leak. Everyone was book all the way to Christmas! They were able to come out in about 2 days. When they got there they were able to determine that the gas company had to come out and do some things. While the gas company came out they determined that the furnace was not up to code and they would need to do some updates to it making the Honey Do person unnecessary. I felt horrible for calling them out for no reason. When I called to square away the bill which was the mandatory first hour the supervisor Greg told me that he felt that they had not really done anything for me and that there would be no charge! What a great bunch of guys!! So if you ever need any work done around the house, call the Honey Do Service because they do great work and they can cover almost any type of work, and above all else they are some real honest square dealing folks!! Trust what you are reading here and save your money! I hired them to do a deck and I have to say they did a terrible job! Not professional at all! The owner never returned any calls and I had to deal with the accountant.(which he is very nice) The only reason I paid them is because I was tired of dealing with them. I still have a lot to fix on this deck! I will NEVER hire them again!!! read more

I am very dissatisfied with their customer service and will never hire them again. Honey Do Service just lost 11+ customers. For several years, I've hired Honey Do Service, Inc. to do various jobs in my home and for my condo association. This is the first year that I have not been pleased with their work and customer service. For the first time in 2014, office staff stopped calling or e-mailing to schedule work with me. They acted like it was my fault when their workers purchased the wrong paint and that it had to be completed a second time. When I complained that I was billed for both trips to the store, I was informed by the office staff in writing that it was my fault. Also, they stained my deck with a color that I didn't approve, and I now have to pay to remove it since it in violation of the condo owner association policy. read more

I am disappointed to find out that it takes a week or more to even get a quote for my tiny job...it's been a week and I'm still waiting on a quote. It makes me feel like there really are jobs "too small" for them to bother with, I'm sure a job that was going to bring in more money would be quoted a heck of a lot faster. I wasn't that satisfied with the estimator anyway who seemed to act like it bothered him to be here and shockingly he's the GM! Very surprised to find that out. Anywho, Honey Do if you're losing business and wondering why you might want to check the turn around time on quotes. I mean it's great if you're that busy but maybe you should look into hiring another estimator. read more

Last March, we discovered a leaking pipe at our water meter. We called Honey Do; they had to come out four times to get the right part. They charged about $400 for a non-guaranteed repair. At the same time, the input line to our toilet developed a pinhole leak; we told Honey Do. They said more or less that since they were already here, they would take care of that too. No estimate: they just put two little clamps on and charged us $140. Now it's leaking again and they refuse to come out and make good on their work. Call a plumber: don't waste your time and money on these guys! read more
