So we first contracted to have the pop corn ceiling removed. The people doing the sheet rock work were lighting fast, but attention to detail was, in our opinion lacking, leaving us with electrical boxes for lights partially covered over, sloppy edges at wall lines, etc. That led to several days of different workers arriving to correct problems that had to be addressed from earlier work. While the young men doing the work were personable, managing a project from a distance via, for the most part phone conversations, and the continual change of workers was frustrating. With the majority of the project done, we simply paid the remainder of our contract and asked them to leave. We will finish the project ourselves as we have substantial construction experience. While we have no doubt this job would have eventually been completed, it is our opinion that this company has grown too fast and the problem is systemic and rests with management taking on more work than they can handle. We would suggest daily onsite visits by the project manager to supervise the persons doing the work would be helpful. Having the persons making mistakes correct their mistakes would also be beneficial. As it is, poor quality work is being rewarded as it has no consequence. Finally providing workers with all the tools or equipment they need before arriving on the job would increase efficiency. The end result in our case is Home Pros left an estimated $50,000 worth of additional work on the table.

Prior to selecting them I met with over a dozen other companies in this area. Promier was far and away the most professional company I dealt with. They were not the cheapest alternative (nor were they the most expensive), but given that the work to be done would be seen by so many people, we wanted it done right. We viewed this as an investment in our home, but we also didn't want to overpay. I had companies give me quotes that were so low, I knew they couldn't deliver quality at that price point. I had other companies develop plans that were more focused on trying to sell us a lot of plants or services rather than developing a custom plan that suited our home. Promier came to our home, met with my wife and I, and spent time going over their proposal in detail. I appreciated their willingness to answer our questions and incorporate our feedback and special requests. They changed the plan a few times until we had something that we knew we would like. Some companies we met with would show us their proposal in person but not let us keep it to review out of fear that we'd take their design elsewhere. Promier wanted us to be comfortable with the work, so they gave us time to review the plan on our own (with our agreement that we wouldn't give their plan to a competitor). When the team came to do the install, they were very professional. Every day before they left, they took time to clean up their work and make sure the job site looked presentable. Even the quality of their equipment and vehicles reinforced to us that they were serious about their work. When the job was finished, we had questions and a few last minute requests. They emphasized to us that they wanted us to be fully satisfied, and so they took the time to go over their work with us to make sure we were happy. Given this review, you might think I'm an investor or owner of the company. I'm not. I'm just a consumer who has had far too many experiences with companies that over promise and under deliver. Promier is not that kind of company. It's such a rare occurrence to find this in companies that I feel that others should know about them. They have my highest recommendation.

We went from anderson windows from Lowes to united windows from lowes(came in broke) to American Craftsman window (aka plygem) from home depot. Plygem has a BBB rating F and Forbes rates them a 3 out of 5. At any time we're we notified of the change untill I did some research on the installed windows and received a small credit on the difference. Out repair went on for 3 months and the communications with the office manager was really poor. On 3 occasions we phoned her for status reports on parts, appts etc and she was going to call someone and get a call back. Not once did we receive a call back. The only communication we had was on july 3rd to schedule insallation on july 6th. All customer service is done by email, i was contesting the invoice because of the window price difference ( anderson window to plygem windows) a phone call to discuss the issues would have been appreciated. Quiet, non-grandstanding service, I guess. Anyway, as before, the first impression is close to terrific. The 5th star may be made from unobtainium, but I'll come back and add it if this redo holds up 6-months. Generally, this company's method for approaching this kind of job seems as efficient as you could hope for, their edging is precise, and their spray patterns are made to overlap by about 50%. I've seen other companies do things that must cause nightmares, but not Bracken. My guess is we might have gotten a product batch that was weak the first time and this time has a good chance of giving us the result more like we had expected. ORIGINAL 1-Star: Sadly, the driveway sealing job Bracken did for us didn't last and made the driveway deteriorate much quicker than it's normal rate. Very blotchy and uneven. The surface sealant seemed to produce minor cracks from drawing as it dried. Our neighbor's drive was done a week or so before ours and their drive looks a little better. Our original thought was to have Bracken do a driveway seal as a test to see if they would be the one to call when an asphalt topcoat was due. Maybe they put a heavier coat on our neighbor's drive or changed to a thinner product. Our other neighbor is glad they passed when we suggested they do theirs at the same time. UPDATE: Mar 27, 2017 Bracken called today and I returned their call as soon as I saw the missed call on my phone. Almost didn't return the call because the caller ID said "Unknown Contact" and we all know how much fun anonymous callers can be. Anyway, we were in a crowded place that was pretty loud, but they told me they came by and checked out the driveway and will call back sometime late in April to schedule redoing it in May. Aaron Dorton and his guys poured my deck about two years ago. It was hard to track him down since…read morehe doesn't associate his name with his business. We told him we weren't happy from day one. He put too much of a slope from our existing (then) 22 years old concrete deck (still great) toward our side yard. So obvious since it drops an entire brick in 10' length which left us a toe stumper to our existing side deck (was supposed to be a level transition)! It is just as bad from our home to the back yard. I am not exaggerating when I say we may have 2" of concrete in the radius to the side deck. The sides are honeycomb and gravel continues to fall out to this day. He never came back to fix it like he said he would. He came (unannounced) and poured it on a day it was rain heavy that night. It rained. My husband called because we had bean sized pits all over the top. Aaron came that night and rebooked the surface to cover the holes but it had stsrted setting up and left tall, sharp peaks that you can't walk on barefoot. We had spent time building and leveling a firepit we bought at Lowe's to the height we wanted for the concrete to be poured around it. When we arrived home from work, he had dismantled it, stacking it on our older concrete patio. He used the fire ring to mark a circle in the concrete - not even where we had it. We had to put it there because of the circle on the concrete and rebuilt it ourselves, because they just left it. Along with trash in our flower pots. They went cheap and bought bags of concrete mixing it in a wheelbarrow instead of a concrete truck as we were told. So, the excess got dumped in our yard. It took a 5# sledge to bust up, shovel into a 5 gallon bucket and 3 trips to my trash can so the grass could grow back. When dumping the gravel inside the forms, they backed their dump truck over our field beds & so close to our house that when they pulled forward dumping the gravel they tore our gutter ((looked like someone took a San opener under it for about a foot or more) on the back of our house and pushed the gutter away from the side of our house (you could see daylight between our brick & the gutter for a good 2". We then had to call a gutter company and per Aaron's request we pay them and he'd reimburse us the expense. He never and still owes us money for those repairs to this day. Whatever you do. Do not use this company. Save yourself the trouble and use a more dependable, honest, and caring company. We wasted a lot of money to turn around and do this job, again.
