We order two appetizers, fried pickles & bruschetta, as well as 4 entrees, three Wellington burgers and a BLT. The fried pickles were good. The burgers and BLT were decent. But the kitchen was struggling to get the bruschetta out. We had already finished our burgers when we told our waitress just to forget about the bruschetta. We were ready for our checks. Our waitress, who was extremely nice about it since we had already waited 45 minutes for the burgers, said that's fine and if it came out, she'd put it on the table, but take it off our tab. Made sense to me as we had only ordered it with the expectation that it would be an appetizer. Just before the checks arrive, a different waitress brings over the bruschetta. We weren't hungry anymore, but we're going to put it in our to-go box so as not to waste it. The owner, or maybe general manager (she was in a green shirt) then came over and said she'd give us the bruschetta for 50% off. I was confused. It took over an hour for it to come out and we had already asked them to keep it in the kitchen and take it off the tab. I said we'd rather just not pay for it. She very abrasively said to me "So you'd rather me take it back and throw it away?" Clearly taking her frustration out on me from the kitchen. I said I didn't want to pay for it. So she quickly grabbed the bruschetta off the table and said she was just going to throw it away. The whole interaction just left a very bad taste in mine and my friend's mouths after the staff themselves had been nice despite the struggles from the kitchen.

She did opine that the grease may have been a little past prime, but still tasty. I didn't have fries or the onion straws. We got there around 1400, there were a few day drinkers and a couple of other folks came in for late lunch. The place has a nice clean vibe to it, there are some things that signal "bar", but they have done a nice job of providing a nice dining space as well. Our host, Kayla was a wonderful host, effective, and a great ambassador for the brand and the town. I will send a 1AD patch for their small honor wall.
