I absolutely love my daughters' school! They are and 4 years old , and I would love to shout out Ms Debbie, Ms Melisa, Ms Karla, Ms Elva and Ms Ana! These teachers are truly exceptional--caring, attentive, and incredibly dedicated. They go above and beyond to make sure each child feels seen, heard, and supported. Before attending this school, my girls were homeschooled , so when they started and immediately would go to class without crying, I was in awe. I am constantly impressed by the attention to detail and the way these teachers create such a warm, loving, and friendly environment. My daughters comes home happy and excited every day, and that speaks volumes! We're so grateful to be part of such a wonderful school community! I plan to leave them at this school until they graduate 8th grade. read more

After aging out of the Riverstone location, my son has thrived at the Sweetwater location. It was a seamless transition. We felt already a part of the community but realized even more so the value of a THRS education seeing the older kids be so kind and mature and communicative. The parents welcomed us with a spaghetti dinner which was a great opportunity to connect with other new families. Very impressed with Ms. Malone and Ms. Le. My children have been attending the Honor Roll School @ Sweetwater Sugar Land for 5-6 years now. My son, Cayden, is now in the 5th grade and my daughter just started her first year in Kindergarten. The teachers are excellent and they seem to care about the students and their learning. Shout out to Mrs. Chiali, my son's 5th grade Math teacher. She is great at teaching Math and genuinely cares about all her students. My son was in her Math class last year and he really enjoys being in Mrs. Chiali's Math class again this year. The Honor Roll School and its staff really do a great job at facilitating a great learning environment for young minds to explore and succeed today and tomorrow. Most of the staff know every students by name and recognize the faces of the parents. I couldn't ask for a better school for my children. I just wanted to take a minute and say a HUGE THANK YOU to you Mr. Tran! My daughter Riley is in second grade and has hated Spanish class the last two years. So much so that she cried most days she knew she had that class. Yesterday when I asked her what her favorite part of her first day in second grade was she said your class. She talked the whole drive home about the game they played, how it is different in English and Spanish, what the rules were and what place all of her and her classmates finished in. She was so excited that she gets to learn Spanish and Mandarin this year. The look on her face as she spoke about your class is something that brings joy to my momma heart. She loves being here and coming to school everyday, but now she is truly excited about learning a different language and that is because of you. read more

AMAZING SCHOOL! Both of my girls go to The Honor Roll School and we have been here for 5 years already, even during Covid, we went to class online! I wouldn't say all but 99% of the teachers and staff members are wonderful. Most of the teachers have been teaching in this school for years, and they know what needs to be done to help each child learn and grow. Kids with special needs are being treated equally and fairly and well cared for. Admin is great, too! They always try to help and accommodate with what works best for the students and the family. read more

This was my daughter's first summer camp experience, and it was absolutely awful. The camp counselors were always sitting at the desk in the classroom talking or writing stuff down and not paying attention to the kids. They usually didn't acknowledge me or my daughter when we walked in. Kids were doing unstructured activities on their own. The worst day was when I dropped my kid off, and she went to go sit with a group of girls doing legos. One of the girls grabbed the Lego bin out of my daughters hand and told her she couldn't play. My daughter looked like she was going to cry. The teachers had no idea this happened because they weren't paying attention. I walked over and checked on my daughter, then told the teachers what had happened. I left the school crying as I was sad my daughter had to be in this environment so I could go to work. My daughter said they did a lot of sitting around all day, watched a lot of shows/videos, and did boring stations. This is not what I paid $320 a week for her to do. Parent communications were bad. I arrived one day to be informed that the class was going to the splash pad and I needed to go home and get my daughter all the swim items and sign the permission form or she couldn't go. Permission slips had been handed out the day before, but my child never got one. They claimed she left too early but only left 30 minutes early. Another field trip for the childrens museum was canceled and replaced with a science activity at the honor roll school, but the activity was a simple craft that was similar to something my 2 year old does at daycare. My daughter reported having a good day at this camp on 2 days. She attended for 2 weeks. Normally, her complaints were regarding a kid being mean, like stepping on her hand on purpose or pushing her. My kid had never been bullied in her life before this camp. She also complained about being hungry most days at pick-up. Turns out, the snacks the honor roll school claimed they would provide were tiny, and she could only have 1. I had called to speak with the camp director to discuss my concerns, and she never called back. This camp was a waste of money for me, and we will not be going back. read more

Great school for our twins, they have been there for 6 years now, and they have great teachers and very good education level.

Look, I'm not sure if this school has changed or if management is the same, but I had the worst experience of my life here and it wasn't the students. I went back years later with another former student for nostalgia and while that student was welcomed and treated wonderfully I was still treated like a paraiah. As an adult! If you aren't incredibly wealthy (my parents were well-off but not RICH rich) you will be treated differently by admin. If you aren't exactly the type of student they expect (I excelled academically but didn't fit the mold of the wealthier students there) they will make sure you are beaten into that box or find a reason for you to leave. According to these reviews it sounds like admin may have changed, but as of 5 years ago when I visited the headmaster was the same person who made my childhood life a living hell for 3 years. I couldn't recommend against this school more. There are many other private options for you to choose from in the area -- I will say I got an excellent academic education there and the teachers were mostly amazing but that will be true of most private schools. The fantastic academics weren't worth the trauma and distrust that lasts until this day. read more

This is the worst school you can send you children to. The upper management lie to parents. They will try anything they can to avoid emails, so that there is no paper trail. They allow bullying and give A's out to all children. There is no clear representation of how your child is doing academically. They overwork their poor teachers. The teachers and management get into verbal arguments in front of parents and students. The school was amazing, but everything changed once it was bought out by Spring EDU group. All they care about is money. A teacher wrote a review on niche that exposed the school. It is worth reading and is 100 percent accurate. Most positive reviews you see are because they bribe the parents with $300 referrals or $1000 tuition raffles. They also never send reports when your child has been hurt. read more

I highly do not recommend The Honor Roll School. Our son went to an amazing school in West U. We changed schools to be closer to home. Our son only attended summer camp 3 days. On day 1 the school put him in the wrong grade level camp. On day 2 when I picked him up he said he was so hungry. When I asked what he had for lunch he said nothing. I emailed the school to ask if he had lunch.. no response. The next day I asked his teacher if he had lunch she stated "there were so many kids she wasn't sure". Come to find out from administration he did not have lunch. Summer camp is from 8:30am-3:30pm. I'm sure his teachers and the administration ALL ate lunch but not our five year old son. Day 3 I get a call that afternoon from The Honor Roll school that our son is sick and to come pick him up. When I pick him up and his pediatrician sees him later that day she confirms he has strep throat. Our son has never had strep throat. In three days of being at the Honor Roll School the lack of care, professionalism and just basic empathy has been unacceptable. We were hoping to have our son join The Honor Roll School this school year since they had already accepted him into the Kindergarten program. That absolutely won't happened. Unfortunately we already paid all admission fees, charges and purchased the school uniforms. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for a quality private school this is definitely NOT the place. read more

The principle of Early Childhood Program (ECP) changed four times in the past four years, which made a continuous chaos among the management, teachers, staff, and parents.  The teacher student ratio for pre-k was 1:6 four years ago, and then changed to 1:8 which increased students number to 24 with three teachers (one leading teacher with two TAs).  When the pandemic started last year, they reduced student size to 16 per class which gave the parents a little bit relief because 24 students were way too crowed in their moderate-sized classrooms.  HOWEVER, beginning this school year (2021-2022), they increased the teacher student ratio to 1:11, which is way higher than pre-pandemic. Most TAs are new in the program now and they seemed stressful too as they need to deal with such a large number of very young kids at the same time.  With the fourth wave of Covid, it is hard to believe any school would increase the teacher student ratio even higher than pre-pandemic.  There is no vaccine for kids under 12 years old currently and they make the classroom packed with young kids. Shame on the school. read more

The Honor Roll School is an excellent school and one I would highly recommend to any family. The faculty and staff work hard to provide the best education safely in times of the pandemic. With careful planning and transparency in their precautions, the school has had little to no cases. As parents and essential workers, my husband and I needed a place that offered in person instruction in a safe and small environment. This school offered both options to accommodate families: online and on-campus with the highest level of health and safety. The administration has communicated every step of the way, open to feedback and reply back when there are concerns. The teachers are simply AMAZING - dedicated and caring. Bottom line, my children are safe, challenged, thriving with their peers and wearing their face mask with pride. Looking back at this difficult year, the greatest gift I could give my children was consistent, safe environment, back into their routine at school...worth every penny. I encourage families to inquire about THRS to see if the school would be a good fit for your child. read more
