Our daughter attended Kensington School for four years, from the infant program all the way through Pre-K, and we had a great experience. The school was always clean and well maintained, and most importantly, we always felt like she was well cared for and safe. She loved her teachers and made a lot of great friends during her time there. One of the things we appreciated most was how much her teachers genuinely cared about her. They really got to know her, were invested in her development, and were always willing to talk through and address any concerns we had along the way. We never felt like she was just another child in the classroom. We were also really happy with her development and how much she learned. She hit all of her developmental milestones, and by the time she finished Pre-K, she was more than ready for kindergarten, both academically and socially. Mrs. Nadia, the director, is great. She communicates well with parents, is responsive when you have questions, and genuinely seems to care about the kids and the school. After four years, you really get to know a school, and we're very happy we chose Kensington for our daughter. We would definitely recommend it to other families. read more

Our Daughter has been going to this lovely Montessori school since she was 18 months of age and she has learned so much from here. All of her teachers from each grade level are all amazing and dedicated. She has learned and remembers them every day she leaves from school. They have a real good curriculum. My kids have been at the Kensington School for over two years, and we've had such a wonderful experience. The teachers are warm, patient, and truly care about the children. Both of my children have attended Kensington and my son is currently there for his last year . Everyone there is wonderful, from Nadia & Ali, to Alex and Christina in the front, to all of the excellent teachers at all levels! My daughter is in 1st grade now, but was so prepared for Kindergarten last year. My sister is a Kindergarten teacher in the area and says that she can tell which kids went to Kensington based on their preparedness for school and their good behavior. We now live in Needville and have no issue making the drive every day because I know my son is in the best hands in the area for sure! I couldn't be happier with the care my children have received at Kensington. I am extremely disappointed with the experience at Kensington. They lack respect for children's creativity. Instead of nurturing individual expression, they focus solely on rigid, structured activities with no room for creative play. Nadia (the owner/director) is super dismissive and VERY rude! My daughter is a typical three-year-old who thrives on creativity and exploration. I would have expected the staff to support her in navigating this new environment rather than viewing her actions (on her first day) as problematic.  They sure want the children to act like robots! Nadia flat out told me my daughter wasn't a good fit in her school only after she been there ONE day! It would have been more appropriate to give her at least a week to adjust. Given the fact that we were DENIED a one day trial when we asked prior to enrolling her! If you have a kid who's playful and creative DO NOT bring them to this trashy place! read more

We LOVE Kensington! Both of our children started as toddlers and were beyond prepared for elementary school. The staff are so kind and understanding. They adjust their approach based on your child's needs and personality (our two kids are so different from one another). My children have attended The Kensington School since the beginning of its operations. We were quite nervous about the change as the prior school was not a Montessori school and we were not familiar with that teaching style. I now can't say enough positive things about our experience here. We truly feel like a part of the owner's family. They honestly care about our children and are focused on teaching them as much as possible before Kindergarten. My daughter is now going into the 1st grade and I heard from several people during her Kindergarten year that "Kensington kids" were more than prepared for Kinder. She is now in their after school program and I greatly appreciate the help she gets on homework before I get there to pick her up in the afternoons. My son started in their infant room and is loved by all the teachers in that school. His very first teacher still works there and says hi to him on a regular basis. He is about to move up to the Pre-K room which still has the same teachers my daughter had when she was in that room. I am confident my son will be ready for Kinder next year under their direction. We have had our children in 3 different daycares during the 6 years we have been parents. The Kensington School is by far the best. The facilities are clean, the food they serve for snacks and lunch is well balanced, the curriculum is top notch, and the owners are genuine people that will treat your child as their own. read more

Teachers are sooooo nice and really tend to the kids. I give the Teachers 5 STARS!!! I felt my daughter always had the attention and interaction she needed. Unfortunately I give this daycare 2 STARS Towards the owners Nadia and Ali - the directors. I feel feedback is very important and when I gave it to them it was ignored like all the other communication we had with them during our child's stay. We emailed them and told them about our concerns and they ignored it. Not one single email was ever responded to or acknowledged. Even when I put in a two week notice it was ignored and I had to go in person and call 3 weeks later! I always had to call or go in person to usually get any answers. The way they make you feel when you ask about money, or getting receipts. They make you feel like your a bother or like they have something to hide. Everything is a secret. Did they forget we pay their bills?? The front office can't give you any information about your account which is horrible customer service. The owners (directors) are the only ones who can tell you ANYTHING.THATS ALWAYS A BAD SIGN! And if they leave a few days early for vacation and are going to be gone a whole week or longer, they have access to their email (front office says) but they will not respond. Not even if it's a emergency. Not a surprise. They do not send you Any receipts and are not clear on any charges or fees they charge you. MAKE SURE YOU ASK all those questions or they will just bill you.Have it in writing too. I was told numerous times I was paying a deposit and then later find out there were fees involved in that deposit so when my daughter would start I would owe more. We just always felt uncomfortable about the "SECRET" personality they have. The directors also always try to blame things on "partners" when it comes down to making decisions which is obviously a excuse because they don't have the professionalism to just be honest they are the ones making the decisions and know their decision is obviously not the best one. Our daughter wasn't going to be able to attend at the time we wanted and we gave them a two week notice of this and they still kept our desposit money instead of putting it towards when she returned -considering her health situation. She was severely ill. They had more than enough time to find a replacement. We emailed them way in advance and got no reply. When I called to find out about billing the front lady couldn't give me info and I got no call back. Ever about it. When I wanted to transfer my older daughter there and they were getting the bus set up I got no communication at all about it. No reply's to emails even after I called and asked about it. Of course they both told me they would keep me posted. That never happened. I never got any communication back about it. I won't send my kids anywhere where there's bad communication with directors like that. You shouldn't feel like everything is a secret or like they have something to hide or that you are being lied to. WE PAY THEIR BILLS we are the reason their business is open. Business owners need to realize their customers keep them open. So customer service is everything!! They need to give better respect to their customers and return emails and communicate better. They have plenty of staff and Nadi and Ali are always in the office on their computers, they have plenty of time to return emails and communicate. Ali and Nadia- the Directors sit at their computers all the time! You shouldn't be treated like your just MONEY. That's exactly how they treat you when it comes to the money process. No thanks. There's great daycares being built right now-- there's plenty of options. We love where our kids are going now and we are treated like family there. We dont have to sit around and wait for answers. Again, everything is a big deal or a secret. You also get brief answers when you ask. I don't trust them. My daughter would only return if they actually acknowledged our concerns and complaints that they have ignored and make changes. If not we will never return. read more

My daughter is starting Kindergarten next year and has been going to this school since she was 12 weeks. I highly recommend the school. The teachers have been great and they have an excellent infant class as well where they are very attentive. We had a several great teachers and one that followed our child as she grew and she was absolutely great. The owners are great and respond to any concerns immediately and resolved them immediately too. It is a family environment and my child loved this place. We are leaving to go to kindergarten but will miss the people and friendships we made here. I feel my daughter is very prepared for kindergarten academically and socially. We absolutely loves this school! My daughter started The Kensington School and fell in love with the teachers and her friends. Mrs. Nadia and Mr. Ali are very knowledgeable about early childhood education (both have their master's degrees in the subject). They live for educating youth, and their passion for learning is so exciting! The directors are ALWAYS available to answer questions or address concerns. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the leadership at the school.  Now the teachers....they truly care about the children and their learning. My daughter's primary and assistant teachers are the best. Even though she spends most of the time with the teachers in her classroom, all of the teachers at the school know my daughter and care for her. The teachers, front desk staff and directors always have smiles on their faces. They enjoy what they do and it shows. My daughter, now four, is learning Spanish and has a love for science, technology, engineering, the arts and math (STEAM). I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the school. The Kensington School really was the best decision we made for our son as far as preschool. Our son had pretty bad separation anxiety and starting preschool was hard on us. He attended 3 different preschools before we took him to Kensington. Although it took him awhile to get comfortable coming to the school, the staff was more than patient to work with him and helped him overcome his anxiety. Mr. Ali was especially attentive to him and came to visit him everyday in class to see how he was doing. My son was very fond of him. Eventually the crying stopped and he enjoyed going to school. The teachers were also wonderful and my son learned so much there. I was amazed of how much he could read as a preschooler. He was so well prepared by time he got to Kindergarten. My grandson had a great experience at Kensington. Ali, Nadia and the staff took great care of the kids when there was a flood in our area and the parents couldn't get to their kids on time. They made sure the kids were safe and fed while waiting for their parents. On that day we picked up my grandson at 8 pm. We've never had any problems and the staff was always professional. read more

I highly recommend Kensington. We appreciate all the hard work everyone at Kensington did through COVID and prior. The caring teachers continued to amazes us with their true concern for how every child was handling the difficult times and ingenuity at coming up with new ideas to keep holiday magic alive during COVID. We knew that in moving away from the area, leaving Kensington would be the hardest part. I can't find a school that compares in their education, cleanliness, nor the teachers true care for my child. The strong foundations they helped instill in our child is amazing. Since moving we've received many compliments on how advanced our child appears for their age. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the Kensington School. My kids have been going there since they were infants. My daughter was extremely well-prepared for kindergarten a couple years back and my son (who is about to go into K) is also doing very well. The Kensington Montessori School has been nothing short of amazing! My granddaughter began attending at 12 months old and was there for 6 months leaving only because she her family moved. The most important thing for us was feeling that the owners and workers love your child; we felt that everyday and she LOVED going everyday. She learned so much in 6 months, from sharing to sign language to Spanish and flashcards. Her vocabulary improved so much in those 6 months. Before looking anywhere else, I recommend you look here. My kids and I absolutely love this school! The owners are amazing. Every teacher and staff member know all of the kids (and parents), even if they aren't in that particular class. They care, and it shows. This is not a daycare. This is a MONTESSORI school. They have a strong teaching curriculum, and my 3 year old is already learning to read. If I could give this school zero stars I would. This school gives up on kids and tosses them out when they don't fit the image they want to portray. This place is the biggest joke ever. My husband and I are extremely disappointed at the way my son and ourselves have been treated by the owners of this facility. We had our 2 1/2 year old son and 10 year old daughter registered at this school for 3 months. Our daughters experience was good, however my sons was horrible. After the first 2 months of our kids attending, the owners called a meeting with me and husband to discuss our sons behavior. He had received a couple of incident reports that week so we were interested in finding more out also. They tell us he had been acting up and being overly entergetic since he had started and was now posing a threat to other kids! This was the first time we had heard any of this mind you. The teachers in the room painted a completely different picture and said he was really playful and was sometimes a little too rough with other kids, but it was never out of frustration, just wanting to play during those first two months. So in the meeting the owners said our son needed to improve or he wouldn't be able to attend any longer. They said there was not a time frame in place, that they just wanted to see him show signs of improvement. This meeting took place 2 weeks ago on a Monday, and they told us yesterday would be his last day, which was Friday Sept. 30th.!!! Which also happened to be the last day of the prepaid billing cycle. Which implies they had this date preset and did not reveal that. We were completely blindsided as he had been improving and they had confirmed and recognized that these past two weeks. We also found out later that everytime our son showed any signs of excessive energy throughout this last month, the teachers were told by the owners to strap him to a tiny baby chair and make him sit there for long periods of time and they said it made him frustrated and act out and his behavior worsened. My husband and I also witnessed him in the chair and separated from the other kids on a few separate occasions and he seemed frustrated and so happy to be let out when we arrived. We also found out that the teachers did not agree with this treatment and would relay to the owners that it was not ideal and didn't seem right, but were told to continue to do it anyway.My son was mistreated and singled out by these people and It breaks my heart when I think about him being forced to stay in a small baby seat and not get to be apart of the class. It seems like torture, and for them to be as knowledgeable and qualified in child development as they claim they are, I would expect them to try different ways to help and support him. For them to only discuss this with us two weeks ago and then let him go yesterday tells us there is more to this story and we will probably never know. Finding out how he was mistreated I'm now happy he's not attending any longer. We will also pull our daughter just based on the fact that we want nothing more to do with this facility/owners. We wonder how they can sleep at night doing to my son what they've done and how they handled it. They couldn't be any less professional or more cold hearted then they've been to us. read more

I made an account because I strongly felt the need to share my experiences at Kensington. I am a parent of an only child. My child has been cared for by the teachers and staff at Kensington for over four years. I am impressed with the level of attention and thought the owners/directors and their team have put into the daycare. I want you to know that cleanliness and safety are taken very serious by everyone, but what I really want to talk about is the meaningful impact Kensington has had in our lives. I credit Kensington with helping my child develop confidence, empathy, respect, and finding joy in learning. Over the years I have asked for guidance from Nadia and Ali (the owners/directors) about my child's mental and emotional development. Their doors are always open, and I never felt rushed or judged by them. I feel they are deeply dedicated to helping every child, at every age, develop their physical, mental, social, and emotional skills. The teachers are also very welcoming and always make time to chat about my child's day. My child and others in the class are already reading and are learning addition/subtraction and other math concepts at four years old. Currently, my child is also learning Mandarin, soccer, and Taekwondo. I hope that more children can attend Kensington and I am thankful to have found them. read more

My nephew was staying with us for the Summer and attended The Kensington School. This was his first time in school - he turned one this Summer - and so we were a little nervous about his transition to school. The teachers were so loving, caring, and warm. They were able to get him to start feeling comfortable within a couple of days. The Directors were amazing - they called us multiple times to let us know how he was doing and gave us detailed updates at the end of each day. Transitioning to school for the first time - or even between classes within the same school - is difficult for almost all children, and the adjustment takes time. But I can't think of a manner in which it could have been done any better than what the teachers and Directors did at The Kensington School. And their communication throughout the process, by phone and when we would pick him up, was amazing. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! read more
