Just nice to have food option! I went for the Valentine's specials that were donating part of profits to Immigrant Law Center of MN (woohoo go Tii Cup for doing what you can!). We came during trivia so there was a bit of a wait to be seated, but we got in after 30ish minutes. We just waited downstairs, which was nice because same building obviously. I got a cocktail that I cannot actually remember anymore (a good reminder to do reviews ASAP) :( I remember it was fruity (strawberry?), light, and yummy. My friend got the Golden Raspberry Beret which was more whiskey heavy. I liked it though, good amount of raspberry and cream and the popping strawberry boba were sooo good! The place itself is just too cute with its cozy lighting and plants! I can't wait until it's nice out again and we can sit on the balcony.

Also love their outdoor patio when it's nice out. I've always been able to get on street parking. It's expensive, but all places are right now. I think Caffetto kind of corners a market that no one else has by being open so late--most coffee shops are barely open past noon, and they're open until midnight! I've personally spent many a late night there finishing up work--it's a really cozy atmosphere, and the selection of pinball machines in the basement are the perfect study break activity. The staff are all great and even when there's a line, they get through it quick and are still able to offer great recommendations--while I usually prefer an iced green tea with no ice, I've tried the lattes, cold press, Thai coffee, and hot chocolate and have genuinely never had a bad drink here. The only thing is to make sure you watch your step if you're walking in the basement--even though it has seating and pinball and the bathroom, it's more of an unfinished space with uneven flooring and I personally rolled my ankle and fell there last year haha.

I had a triple decaf almond milk latte that tasted like it was caffeinated to me but didn't give me the buzz I'm so addicted to, that's when you know it's a good decaf. I love the coziness and the unique artwork in Caffetto. I look forward to coming back at an earlier hour to feed my addiction. But it's great to know I have a go to coffee shop for those afternoon cravings where the decaf tastes just as delightful! UPDATE- 2 hours later: there's additional seating and a pinball machine room in the basement, glad I went downstairs to the bathroom.

You wouldn't know it was there because there is no sign that says 'Smile Tea Bar,' but there is a bright neon sign of a smiley face on the side of the building. As we walked in there was a hallway with more neon signs that lead to a staircase that goes down to the tea bar. At this point I was intrigued and excited to see what was on the other side of this stairwell. We went downstairs and the lighting was low and purple. There were board games on one wall and a collection of vinyl records on the other. It seemed like just the chill, relaxing place we were looking for to play cribbage. One of the guys working behind the bar came up to us right away and greeted us, told us about the kinds of teas they have and was super friendly and welcoming. They have couches by a fireplace, bar seating and tables, but because there was a trivia game going on there weren't any open spots. The friendly guy who originally greeted us pulled up a table and chairs in an open space for my friend and I so we could have our tea and play our game. I found out that they are actually holding a cribbage tournament this weekend. I do wish that these events were promoted on the website instead of spread by word of mouth, but I guess that adds to the mystery of it all. I had the red iced tea which is supposed to help with relaxation and pain relief. I would describe it as a combination of kombucha and a smooth iced tea. I wish I would've gotten a picture of the tea but I was so taken by the ambiance and just fully enjoying the experience. I don't know what they put in their drinks, but everyone who was in the tea bar seemed super friendly and happy to be there. There was even a dog walking around at one point taking in all the pets and love. I would definitely recommend this speakeasy type joint to anyone who wants to experience a trippy, alcohol free bar atmosphere with good, friendly people.

I was interested in the straight kava (mud water), which was prepared perfectly - nice and strong without a huge pile of separated kava at bottom of cup.
