    Lounge area by DJ Booth
    Camille L.

This is my new favorite bar in Minneapolis! Swanky, posh, and not pretentious. The live DJ spins fabulous dance music and people start dancing after a few cocktails. The crowd is classy and it gets pretty packed later in the evening. We went on Sat. night and our vodka tonics were only $7 which is reasonable for an upscale place like this; I'm pretty sure they used Grey Goose vodka too! I didn't even know this place existed until I ate at Manny's; this lounge is like a hidden jewel in Mpls.! I highly recommend taking your out of town friends here. Part of the decor reminds me of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance video.

Super chill spot! Lots of spots to sit and relax with whoever you're with! Live dj on Friday nights from what I'm seeing now. Very cool spot to hang out at and have a few drinks!

I really liked this bar I stayed in w hotel and it was nice that this bar downstairs. We stayed 3 nights we went there 3 nights hehe. So fun place. Djs are good. All the servers are super polite

Very chill and calm lounge. The Dj was spinning deep house and she was pretty good. The nightlife scene is so different from NYC; so it took me a little while to get use to it... The whole night was beyond laid back.

Great kick back area for out of towners, Friday's and Saturday's local Djay's good food and drinks, grown and sexy atmosphere.

Located inside the Foshay Tower, there's street and valet parking available! We entered through the W hotel lobby and took the elevator up to the 27th floor! We were met by a fun, retro-inspired lounge with many couches and tables available in a 360-degree set up. It has Prohibition-themed decor, but I wouldn't quite call it a speakeasy, as there wasn't any guise to entering or accessing the space. My only critique is that the space is quite dated, but not in a cool way. It could really use an update to the paint and interior to maintain itself as a "destination" versus just another hotel bar with a view. The bartenders were quite friendly and helpful during our visit. We had an Old Fashioned and a Paper Plane during our visit! Both cocktails were absolutely delicious and perfectly made. Now, at around $26 each, I would expect that level. Overall, a cool, historical spot to grab a drink!

Upon entering we were greeted by a woman who was clearly wearing multiple hats as she seemed rushed, a bit off putting and quite frankly distracted. It was Juneteenth the middle of the afternoon and there were maybe 6 people at the bar and one other table besides ours with 2 diners. The person seating us was also our server and the bartender. Menu is small but the items we ordered were all fabulous! Every single one! The collard green dip with cornbread pita chips was absolutely delicious - Think spinach artichoke dip but soul food! The salmon croquettes with lemon herb aioli and arugula salad that accompanied were fresh and light! The catfish sandwich with fries was hot, crispy and well seasoned with fresh lettuce and tomato on a perfectly tender brioche bun. I want to return so bad for the food but it was clear this host, server, bartender and partial cook was pulled in too many directions and that severely compromised our service and gave us stand off energy as first time patrons. I looked it up and she is actually one of the owners. She came across as irritated especially once we didn't order any alcoholic drinks first and then very short and curt following. What took the cake was her telling us she was leaving for the day and needed to close our tab while we were eating. Didn't ask did we want to order anything else and there was another server taking her place and an empty restaurant! My partner had to put his sandwich down wipe his hands pull out his wallet while she stood there impatiently. Then proceeded to linger around hugging her regular bar patrons. It was clear this is a "regulars" spot and if you're not one you're rolling the dice on the service you may or may not get. We were patient and didn't complain because it was Juneteenth and our intention to support black restaurants all weekend. I have many previous years in the industry as a cook, host and GM and I was stunned to know that she was one of the owners when I looked it up. Had planned to return for live music but unfortunately the off putting energy and unwelcoming vibe may have squashed that possibility. I hope they improve service because the food is delicious and deserves attention from a larger and more sophisticated audience.

We booked a VIP table at the upstairs bar for a bachelorette party. The service was nice, but prices were insane (expected for a table but still $$$$). Again, that is expected for a place like this, but the worst part is our night ended with calling the cops because a girl in our group was physically assaulted. Thrown to the ground and attacked by multiple people, yet the bouncers kicked HER out and let the attackers stay. Beyond SCARY! They kicked our friend out to the curb and left her there all alone. The cops were called and the place wouldn't even let them in - clearly they knew they were in the wrong here! Went out with many of my friends together and it may have become our favorite spot. 1. Decor Absolutely love the fact they have such high ceilings, thanks to the old library building, super high back leather chairs and overall classy sophisticated design makes this place really cool. 2. It is probably the best in the Twin Cities. The DJ area was in the middle but kinda tucked away and hidden behind the super XXL sofas and chairs in this place, so you won't see them in the dark lights. I don't know if it's good or bad, but I like watching the DJ in action sometimes when I go out dancing. She was playing some good dance music. Before you head to Mansion, you have to come with an open mind and lots of forgiveness in your heart. Drink a lot or take a chill pill before you come because this place has lots of rules. The night we were here, there were more security guards and "hostess" sweeping the floor than regular customers. I call them hostess, but I don't really know what they do other than stand around looking gorgeous and smiling. They didn't greet us when we came in or take our drink orders throughout the night so I don't really know what they do. I heard there is dress code for the men so make sure you have collared shirt and long pants on. As for the ladies, you don't have to remind us to dress to kill for a night out. The is no cover charge so that's pretty awesome since we are sure to be drinking inside anyway. However, their policies for not allowing jackets laying around doesn't make for a fun time. I have never been to a club where they force you to either wear your darn jacket or pay for coat check service and only if you can find it due to poor signage. Firstly, I was told to remove my jacket from laying it on the arm rest of a couch that was supposedly reserved for an invisible party because no one showed up. Secondly, they tell me I can't put my jacket on the bar stool when we finally found some kind souls to share their limited bar seating area with us!! Really!!!!!!!!!?????? Mansion?????? My last encounter with Mansion's rules (whew this one tops the icing on the cake), I put down my empty champagne glass on a nearby table because we were having so much fun dancing that I didn't want to risk breaking a glass on the dance floor only to be told I have to put my glass at the bar! In short, he is telling me "bus your own empty glass, lady!" I asked him if he could take the glass away for me only to be refused because he is too good to do just that (provide good customer service) because he has a black suit on and an ear piece. I am a paying customer Mansion!!!??? Some advise for Mansion- let loose on your rules! There are not enough tables to put down our darn drinks so we can dance hands free! Instead, you have too many Reserved couches on the nights when your joint was half empty.
