They gave a wonderful explanation of the various parameters to consider (eg frame size, handlebar type, etc) and discussed the pros and cons of each. Once we circled in on what I was looking for, they let me test ride three or four different bikes in the surrounding neighborhood, adjusting each bike to fit me before riding. I felt really taken care of and my intimidation about purchasing a bike dissolved immediately upon interacting with the staff. I stopped at a few different bike shops today but Recovery stood head and shoulders above the others because they were so friendly, knowledgeable, affordable, and community oriented. I couldn't recommend this place more highly and I'm planning to stick with them for my future biking needs.

They were more than willing to help fit us and let us try out a few bikes from their selection. The person helping us was extremely friendly and happy to help out with all of our questions. They got busy a couple times where they had to step away but no worries there, that's not a bad thing in my eyes, businesses have to be good at juggling people and helping everyone out. We ended up buying a bike for my wife, They were very accommodating and my wife is still in love with it and riding it super frequently. I had regrets afterward, because I had loved that bike, which fit me just right and had taken me many miles. I had thought it was probably too far gone to be repairable and figured it might have gone to the scrap heap. But I contacted the City of SLP, anyway, to ask. A few days later, their solid waste manager contacted me and said the bike was being reconditioned at Jonny Rock and that I could get in touch with them. This I did, and Jon contacted me when the work was done. There it was, my old bike, completely restored and ready to ride again. Better yet, Jon said he was only charging me for the repair as if I had brought it in on my to be repaired rather than charging me for the bike as if I were a new person coming in to buy.

Another 10 minutes and he comes up the right ones, finally. He then takes another 10 minutes to try and figure out how to ring the tubes. I have since learned to change my own flat and was able to do it myself (4" fat tire) with no issues at all so I would expect a bike mechanic to be able to handle changing a tire without any issues? The owner was very helpful and they are one of a few Rad Power Bike dealers (the brand of bike I own) so I'd really like to rely on them if I could. Good shop location and I was able to get same day service which can be nearly impossible - some shops are a month out for getting work done.
