The railroad tracks that the depot sits on is known as The Western & Atlantic Railroad which was built by the state of Georgia in 1836 at a reportedly cost of 5 million dollars (125 million in today's money.) It is the building of this 138 miles rail tracks that really put Atlanta on the map... If you're a Walking Dead Fan then you know about Terminus...well that was the name originally given to the city of Atlanta. Terminus means "the end point" which was what Atlanta was at the time. The "end of the line" for W&A railroad. Most historians believe that the "end point" probably is where the Georgia Railroad Freight Depot is in downtown Atlanta. (if you're feeling extra history-ish you can go see the stone marker that marked the spot of "the end" at Underground Atlanta. It's known as The Atlanta Zero Mile post.) The Kennesaw Train Depot was restored to its former glory in 2001 at a cost of $150,000 according of their website. It now is a museum and an event venue. There is also a small park next to it known as Depot Park with a small play ground, an outdoor museum narrating the great locomotive chase of the civil war and a pedestrian underpass. In front of the museum there is a tall lamp clock dedicated to city council member Jerry Worthan for his 20 years of service to the city of Kennesaw. Across the street there is the Southern Museum of Civil WAr Locomotive History Museum that houses the famous locomotive "The General". Just a few months ago I reached out to MM because I was at the end of my patience with the puppy I was given April 2026. He was unruly, aggressive and biting people. With me he was great but I couldn't trust him outside or with others.He would have fits and start barking trying to bite people,other dogs and even children. Today after the classes at Mostly Mutts with Christina and Gabe he is a different dog. He's not perfect but he is much improved. He's manageable. He no longer barks uncontrollably or lunges at other dogs, children and people. I highly recommend Mostly Mutts they are wonderful. They have taught me how to handle my dog and give him what he needs to be a good pet. Thank you Mostly Mutts you get 5 stars from me.

They are honest and open with us whenever they get in a new rescue that may need vet treatment, and how we can help donate towards the vet cost. They NEVER expect anyone to donate, and not once have I seen something that proves otherwise. They are caring, compassionate and dedicated to their work rescuing ferrets, and I wish I lived in Georgia so I could join and help with the rescue, but alas I live in rainy depressing Washington State. Kindness Matters Ferret Rescue was able to take him in and found a loving home so quickly!(: We visited the home he was being temporarily placed in before surrendering him and although it was sad to part, we were relieved that there were other playful ferrets, so many toys and comfy places for them to rest. It truly seemed like a ferret paradise! I also love that they care so much about the little guys and provide veterinary care as well as frequently post updates on their Facebook page. This rescue has proven to be very reliable and trustworthy, I highly recommend them!

After the exam, I was told straight up that my dog didn't need dental cleaning, so I could not book the service. I decided to purchase heartworm preventatives using their online pharmacy, but after EIGHT attempts in a month to get the medication, the order was rejected EVERY SINGLE TIME by their veterinarian. Each time the reason was that there was a prescription on file already so they could not approve an order request, but there WAS no prescription on file to begin with. All I can assume is that Pawproject wants my dog to get heartworm infection and die. I hate Pawproject and will report them to the Georgia Board of Veterinary Medicine. Don't go there.
