    Breakfast Sambusa
    Maja R.

Born and raised in Nashville, and this has literally the best chai I have ever had. I recommend their original Somali chai and their breakfast sambusas. With that, their service is quick & the staff is so friendly and helpful. You can tell this staff has established friendships and good relationships with customers. Overall, the energy in the room is definitely vibrant and good place for those who need to work!

The Horn was buzzing with activity and loud with laughter when I walked in to pick up my online order. As a recent transplant to the area, I've been searching for the best coffee spot nearby. I found The Horn and ordered 3 Sambusas as part of their 3 for $11 special as well as a Brown Sugar Iced Chai. My husband ordered an Americano. The Chicken and the Philly Cheesesteak Sambusas were my favorites, but the Philly one was a little too cheese-forward to my liking. The Beef was good, too, just not my favorite. When I arrived to pick up my online order, they made my chai on the spot, which I appreciated. It was delicious, but next time I'll order half sweet. I look forward to returning and trying more of their menu.

So I heard about this place via instagram and the rave was about the Dubai chocolate. I am a chocolate lover and knew I had to try it. I arrived and it's in a small area but there's lots of parking so do not stress about parking. I walked in and saw that they had other bakery goods and sambusas as well as a variety of coffee. I decided to order 1 Dubai chocolate and 1 beef sambusa. I took my order to go and got home and let me tell you the sambusa with the orange sauce was delicious! There were no crumbs or sauce left behind! The Dubai chocolate! When I say chefs kiss! It was so good! So much so that I went back a couple of hours later to get two more sambusas and a large Dubai chocolate with two minis to hold me over for the rest of the week! Will I be here again! Should you be there too? Absolutely! This place is too good to pass up so go now!

This is a cute coffee shop! This is the perfect place to work and relax. It wasn't too loud and it had some perfect sunlight. The Biscotti Tre Leches was DIVINE! It wasn't too sweet. I had the brown sugar chai latte. It was a tad bit too sweet.

Well I only came here for the widely talked about Dubai Strawberries. They were good and rich in flavor just not worth $18 in my opinion. They do seem to get quite a bit of business from how packed it was. I waited well over 15 minutes to get strawberries. It seems like majority of the customers on this day were wanting strawberries. Prepare to wait. I did order some sambusas. I can't say that I was a big fan of the beef and chicken. They were both dry and lacked flavor. I did hear that the Philly was good, so maybe on my next visit I'll try it. The staff was very friendly and was all hands on deck. They were definitely not understaffed on this day.

I appreciate it being a culturally unique spot! The service was standard and friendly. The ambiance was cute as well, although nothing too notable to name. The nafaqo was good (for reference: a fried mashed potato ball with an egg inside), but I personally enjoyed the veggie sambusa much more! There was also a great touch of the sambusa "newspaper" with the order- v entertaining. My only note is for the drinks: while great to sip on, the cappuccino was WAY too hot (basically undrinkable for about a 1/2 hour) and the chai was verrry sweet. So order accordingly! Otherwise, a good spot to check out!

Service here was great and the staff were very friendly! The sambusa's were freshly made, and oh my the coffee was the best part, very tasty and was quickly made! One of the best places to stop for a quick bite and good coffee in the area.

Had to try the chai latte and an iced coffee from probably the most hyped chai shop in the state, and they did not disappoint! With what appeared to be a long line, each order was fulfilled swiftly and kindly, and the quality of the drinks and pastries were all top notch.

It's called the only chai that matters in Nashville for a reason! This chai is seriously delicious. And the fresh sambusas are just the most crave worthy bite in town. Hot and flavorful filling enveloped in a crispy, slightly puffy, beautiful golden triangle. And the sauces all bring their own unique flavor, be sure to try them all. The only thing is the counter service can take a little while (never an outrageous amount of time), but it's only because they're getting the love they deserve and it's been pretty crowded inside when I've visited! But good things come to those who wait, the Horn has very good things

Those are some of the most quiet and humble men I've every been around! My auntie vibe was making me want to pinch their cheeks! Lol! But the chia is smootheeeeeeeeee! I only had the mandizi puff. Bought some chocolate to make "cookies". I kind of want to put some of that chocolate in the chia!! After eating the pastry, which was very light and tasty, I'm looking forward to the others!

Great coffee shop. Love the aroma that greets you when ion walk in - chai and espresso! Had a cardemom latte and cinnamon chai - croissants were delicious. Friendly service and very welcoming atmosphere. Very worth a stop.

The Horn is a locally owned fast casual restaurant. Love the Sambusas! Basic but my favorite is the Veg Sambusa. Strawberry Chai drink is fantastic if you like the two flavor combinations. Reg Chai latte in the bottle is strong but I take it home and get two portions basically by splitting it with oat milk. Service is always nice. The trending Dubai chocolate here is my favorite in town. The Horn also does pop ups at Richland Farmer's Market with a limited menu on Saturdays.

Beef sambusa and breakfast sambusa. I took them home to enjoy on the porch.
    Evan D.

The sambusas were absolutely fantastic. I got the classic beef and the breakfast (eggs, potatoes, and cheese) and both just blew me away. It's perfect for a morning or midday small meal especially in cooler weather. Pair it with a hot drink - the brown sugar chai was amazing. Will absolutely be back here throughout the fall and winter.

When I entered, the shop looks simple - with locals chatting and watching TV, and a person behind the counter taking orders and making tea and coffee. I personally got a medium sized tea which looks like large honestly, and I opted for the mint. The tea was made in front of me, including the steeping and foaming the milk, etc. The tea is quite sweet and served at the right temperature; it exceeded my expectations as I would've expected it to just be something like English tea that is more floral, but rather this is more minty, herbal, and creamy like milk tea. I also got a beef sambusa which was $2 and it is like a samosa - a great snack at a very affordable price. I am glad that I found this hidden gem and I will come back given the great prices and quality of the food and drink. P.S. they apparently serve camel milk, according to the front door paper!

I can't really have sweets so I asked for a bottle of water. The staff members were friendly and accommodating. There is a sink on the outside of the men's room and I know in places like Afghanistan, they have these sinks to wash your hands because you eat with your hands - it is sunna to eat with your hands (spoons are also provided). They also have a little sectioned off area for people to pray in a similar way that places like House of Kebab have a prayer room. Everything is Halal and there seemed to be a fair amount of people in there. The rice was very flavorful. It reminded me of the rice at Al Rasoul or Osh. It had some raisin and red onion - the flavor combination was very delicious. The goat was as expected. The flavor was good, be wary of small bones. The cost may seem higher than expected but it was a LOT of food. I ate off it for the next several days. Also if you want to support a locally owned Somali business I recommend it.

I assume that they're Eritrean (Habesha cousins of Ethiopians) because the names of my favorite dishes seem to be a different language from their Ethiopian counterparts' Amharic. But the flavor was never lost in translation! I ordered Combo # 3 for $18.99. It comes with your choice of 4 vegetables (out of 5 preselected options) and one salad (out of three preselected choices). The side choices are quinoa, injera, or white rice. I confirmed with them that they use teff, meaning the injera is gluten free. They also offer 3 spice levels: regular, spicy, and extra spicy. I love all five vegetable options so it was hard to decide. I ended up choosing the Red Lentils, Yellow Lentils, Tikil Gomen (the cabbage dish), and Collard Greens. Everything was excellent! 10/10! (Everything I ordered was vegan and gluten free.) I ordered spicy because I love spicy food. But let me tell you... I was not prepared for the authentic African spices they hit me with. My bad! I will never underestimate them again. I had to literally sit the injera on my tongue first, then put the food in my mouth in order to finish my meal. LOL Next time I'll be a good little American and order it the normal way. I'll try their fosolia (green beans and carrots) next time. The Shiro also looks good, but it's only available as a full entree. They operate out of a food hall, so it's take out only. I ordered online and my food was ready at the promised time. The customer service was excellent and the lady (whom I'm assuming was the owner) was very nice and helpful. I will definitely order from them again.
