So we have come here several times for different occasions and today was the least enjoyable. For the good part of the visit: I love their outdoors area. The tent and bar area are great. They have also really step it up with the games and playing area for kids to just run around and enjoy their time while parents and adults can also enjoy their time. The food has gotten better but I'm still not impressed so I still think they're overpriced. Service: they did "try" to work it out but very poorly. My sister made a reservation for 13 people but somehow they only had one our reservation, quote "10 or 11 people" so they were not prepared either way. We only had 1 extra person showed up. They gave us one (1) picnic table for our party. Even if it was "10 or 11" of us we would have not fit in one of the picnic tables even adding the two chairs at the end, and we didn't. It's better to say they made a mistake than to blame the patrons. There were 2 open tables that could have been used but our server wasn't assigned them... the must dumb excuse on the book. I've worked in restaurants and we always made it work for the customer and the serve, mind you, they were right next to each other. Communication between managers, servers and host/hostess could have been better. Also, I don't like they make you share tables with people you don't know. I love meeting people but this isn't Monell's y'all. Get different kind of seating if you are not going to be open seating in that area. It makes it less awkward to our wallets when we are all chilling and ask, "can we seat here" knowing that you have to say "yes, sure" unless you have your people coming to save you. Overall all, having overwhelmed staff for a planned holiday that happens every years is just unpreparedness of the establishment and a sour taste to the customer. Came in after dinner elsewhere and ordered a pitcher of margaritas for $10 off on happy hour (ends at 6 pm). Flavor was good (a bit too sweet for my liking), yet I'm not a huge fan of premixed drinks on tap. Either way, we enjoyed our time sitting at the bar with good, friendly service from Lindsay. Tax on a $28 pitcher was $6. I like when restaurants/bars have the taxes added in prior to avoid surprises. Met up with my friend on a Thursday to try this place out for the first time and the food was great! I won't be too harsh on the service, but that was a little off putting for me in the beginning with it being my first time there. Maybe it was just a bad day or something but when I got there, there was no hostess at the stand and I literally stood there for at least five minutes before someone acknowledged me. It was around 4:45 so it was not that busy either. I was there for so long a line formed behind me. Finally, someone came around the corner and was surprised to see all these people standing, waiting for the hostess, and someone came immediately, but there were a few servers that were waiting tables who saw all of us standing there before and didn't acknowledge us at all. (If I wasn't meeting my friend I definitely would have left.) After we were seated, the experience did improve. I started with a sweet fire Brussels and the fire part is definitely true because they were spicy, but they were good. We both wanted margaritas so we just ended up ordering a pitcher and to our surprise it was happy hour so it was $10 off. The drinks were amazing and my tacos and rice were good too. It's very family friendly (at one point it seemed like more kids than adults lol). I recommend sitting outside if you want more space and it not be as loud as indoors. Looking for gluten free restaurants can be challenging. I found this location through a Yelp search. It was easy to find. There's limited parking up front but more on the side lot. I've been there 4 times and only once there was only one spot available in the side lot. Seating was quick. We decided to sit outside in the covered patio. It was a picnic table setting. They did have regular seating inside. It did take about 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us but once we did get a server he was very friendly and knew the menu very well. It's really a fun atmosphere. Plenty of room to roam for children. The menu had tons of gluten free options. We ordered the gluten free nachos with salsa, Cantina burrito bowl $11. We made an outdoor patio reservation for an event with ~20 attendees, weeks in advance and I'm glad I arrived early because no one seemed to be aware of our reservation, despite confirming again a few days before the date.
