Here on vacation and was curious about this place. The reviews seemed hit or miss, but we were really happy with our experience here! The buffet is available, but there's also an option to fill up a plate with as much food as you want for $10. This was an amazing value. There were tons of options available, even for vegetarians and vegans. Every dish I tried was delicious--cheesy potatoes, lentil soup, pulled pork, stuffed cabbage, kale salad, and more. Everything was very flavorful and you could tell that the chef (who may also be the owner? Not sure) made everything with care. Highly recommend!!

The Hub is a fantastic food market with a one of a kind buffet of in restaurant made dishes from their farm to your table. Everything on the menu they grew and prepared with grass fed meat and veggies from their farm. If you want an affordable but top notch, absolutely delicious, 100% organic dining experience, look no other than to The Hub

This was a great…read moreplace to pick up some cute holiday gifts (fancy dish towels, things for making craft cocktails at home, soaps, etc). They also make baked goods in the store. I loved that each item had the simple ingredients listed with it on the name-- this made it easy for needing to ask if you have food allergies, but also terrific to see that the treats are made with basic ingredients like you'd use at home! I tried a snickerdoodle whoopie pie with cream cheese icing inside. The cookies were perfect and the frosting was a bit on the super sweet side but that's how I like my frosting so it was delicious! My mom got a slice of pie- the flavor was pretty good but since it was kept in the fridge, the crust lost a bit of the crunch/flakiness. We bought a take and bake frozen raspberry pie for the next time we have guests over. Mom also got a brownie, which she said was very good as well. The wide selection of pre made salads and sandwiches looked great as well as the large selection of take and bake meals and side dishes. This is my favorite type of a local gem to discover. It's a perfect spot to stop on the way to or from Lake Placid. I actually visited twice in the same day! It's open Friday-Monday (as of when I visited in November'23). I think I'll actually head back to that area next weekend and stop back in to pick up a few gifts and some more baked goods! Update--- We also did end up going back to the shop the following weekend for some more shopping. Customer service could use some improvement. **As I said in my main review, we bought a frozen pie to take and bake. We baked it for Thanksgiving l there was no scent while it baked which was unusual. It wasn't the prettiest looking when it came out of the oven. More unfortunately, no one liked it! My mom said it was the worst she's ever tasted. The crust was so thick and the filling and crust both had a strange aftertaste. This was very disappointing because the treats we had in the store were delicious. If the review was based only on the pie, I'd be a 1/5 stars.

Best of all, I could race in and find the perfect lunch; I actually had a tough time choosing as the tempeh also looked delish. The only tough part is walking past the amazing desserts. I came back into town for a few days and stopped by to get some food for my trip and noticed they had a cafe serving sammie's and smoothies and had to try one. They were all dedicated GF which was so amazing since I have celiac disease and it's really hard to find good freshly prepared food without risking cross contact & getting sick. I got the avocado toast sandwich and it was AMAZING! Also grabbed a matcha latte & pumpkin pie on my way out which both hit the spot. Hailey the owner (I hope i spelled that correctly) was the sweetest and I had a great conversation with her about nutrition. The co-op itself has so many gluten free, vegan, organic and locally sourced food options to buy in bulk or by the package. I love the environment they create here and the workers are always so friendly and helpful. They also have a section of pre-made food (most of which is vegan) and it all looks freshly made and delightful! The co-op is definitely one of the only places around here that i miss on the daily basis :,) Definitely recommend stopping by!

We went there Saturday night (8/15), arriving a few minutes before 6. The place was packed & we were told it would be a 10 - 20 minute wait for a table. We gladly agreed to wait - in point of fact, when a large table became available, we offered it to the family of 8 that came in after us. We were seated shortly after that. We waited patiently for the waitress to take our drink order, then waited quite a while for them to be delivered. After we placed our food order, it took about an hour for it to come. We couldn't help noticing that customers who came in after us were served before we were. Knowing how busy they were, I wouldn't have minded so much if it hadn't been for the abysmal service we received. The waitress never came back to our table to ask how everything was or if she could get us anything else - although she did this for her other customers. When she brought our checks, she slapped them on the table, then slammed the standing specials menu on top of them. Never asked us if we would like coffee or dessert (we had wanted to get dessert to go). I had to catch the waitress as she flew past us to ask for a box for my remaining food. Another waitress brought it over. I have no idea what we possibly could have done to make this girl treat us so badly. None of her other customers got this treatment; she was very pleasant to everyone else. Never in my life have I ever walked out of a restaurant without leaving a tip (typically at least 20%). This time I did so.
