Human Bean is always a pleasant experience. These little coffee huts have great team members who are always friendly and patient when you are looking over the menu. On this day, we got a Granita - nice consistency, not too thick so it works well with a straw! The flavor is not too sweet with a solid coffee espresso flavor. I loved it! In contrast, the Watermelon Pomegranate Italian Soda was really refreshing on this 100+ degree day. It had a nice fruity flavor and was a good drink to toggle back and forth with my Granita! Before I even got to the window two blonde girls gave me a dirty look, not sure what for. Then I get up to the window and dry attitude again acting like she doesn't want to be there. Not a smile, not that people need too but like off putting. I get it. I'm a barista. So let me preface this by saying every time I'm in town, I almost make it a daily routine to stop by The Human Bean in the morning for a smoothie. But this trip left me pretty bitter about the whole experience. They ended up being out of protein add-ons for about a week, which really baffled my mind. After 6 or so days I just stopped going there and asking as I figured they must.only restock once a month or something along those lines. I also noticed they don't seem to hand out the little individual beans on each drink anymore. When visiting Havasu again earlier this summer we stopped in to the Human Bean on our way to the beach. I ordered a caramel latte, 16oz mocha java chip and a bag of their Teramo coffee beans. The girl must've been new because I did not place my order in an odd way or anything and she asked 3x what size we wanted. In the end, I got my caramel latte iced which I had never said iced and she didn't ask, I did not get my receipt which I had asked for and I got a 12 oz drink instead of a 16oz. There was a line, I had dogs in the car and had no more time to wait as we just wanted to get to the beach ASAP over the holiday weekend. How do you get so many things wrong in 1 simple order of 2 drinks and a bag of beans? Perfect spot to stop for coffee after our long drive to Lake Havasu City. You can find these almost everywhere in the city, and although the options can be limited in this area, it's an easy choice over the Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts that are also around. It's like Arizona's version of a Dutch Bros., as it's only a small drive thru with a similar but less specialized menu. Aside from coffee, which can be ordered iced, hot, or blended, they also have teas, fruit smoothies, and energy drink smoothies. There are also dairy alternatives and sugar free options! Some drinks we got that I highly recommend are the chai smoothie, choc mac breve, and the lavender green tea. Blended drinks also can be topped with whipped cream and a chocolate covered coffee bean (yum!). The employees provide great service and are very friendly. Some places in Arizona don't enforce masks anymore, but they still do at the Human Bean, which I appreciate. I warned that I had a complicated order I was getting for someone else and immediately she had a bad attitude and made it clear that she was not happy to be making it. She repeatedly sighed and even asked "ughhhh whyyy" in front of my face and then attempted to make the order. When she gave me the drinks she complained again that it took too long and then when u got the drinks both of them were made wrong and one of them was the wrong size. Best drinks and best service ! Love the Human Bean! A must everytime I visit Lake Havasu!

I've been coming here for the past few days while on a trip. My parents own a house in Portland & we love the human bean!! I've always had a great exp. here. Yesterday, the gentleman who helped us was so welcoming and helpful. This morning, my experience was unsatisfactory. I pulled up to the window & the girl glanced at me, looked away & continued her conversation with another employee. It was probably a good 20 seconds (which is fine, but at-least acknowledge me). She could have easily said "I'll be with you momentarily". However, this is not the part that was bothersome. When she finished her conversation, she just stood looking off into the distance. She still refused to acknowledge my presence. About 45 seconds into me pulling up, I asked her if she was ready to help me. She was not friendly. I really don't know what to make of it. As a nurse, my first instinct is she is having an absent seizure. Because that is what it felt like. I really hope that next time I visit, I am greeted ( you don't even need to be friendly) I just want to be acknowledged. read more
