Absolutely love this place!! The service here is always amazing and the staff is soooooo friendly. Drinks come out basically as soon as you get to the window and if not the cashier will have a nice convo with you. I tried the Java Chip and I must say... WAY better than Starbucks!! I've always wondered why my drinks taste a bit off. Now I realize that when I say with soy milk, they're not substituting. They're ADDING soy milk to whatever milk is already there I feel like asking for a drink with soy milk and no whip should be self-explanatory but it's not. If you can't have milk, be sure you say so when you order that you want an alternative INSTEAD of the milk and not in addition to. Besides that, the staff is super friendly and the drinks ARE tasty. Being that this is a new coffee spot with a drive thru in our town and the chain is also reputable for having great coffee, I can see why there was such a buzz about this place. Sadly, I didn't have such a great experience with the coffee drinks we had BUT the customer service did make up for the lack in the drinks. I had the new Salted caramel cold brew coffee in a large cuz it was just that kind of day already LOL but there was hardly any coffee flavor in my drink. So little that the color was very light indicating more cream than anything else. My daughter got the strawberry banana smoothie and that too was lacking in strawberry flavor, mostly tasting of banana and whatever powder they use to thicken it. It had a slight chalky taste to it as well. Maybe it's because they are so new, they still have to work out the kinks. Unfortunately I will stick to my regular coffee spots because the overpriced drinks failed to make me want to come back. read more

Awesome little drive through coffee joint with a walk up option as well and a couple of outside umbrella covered tables as well. This is the best place to go for coffee in town in my opinion one because the drinks are delicious ; but even more because the staff is so nice and helpful. The service here was friendly, but they do need more time to learn the menu. It was our first time here, and we wanted to see what all the fuss online was about. The flavor here is extremely lacking! The shots of espresso came off watered down and the Cold Brew also tasted watered down. The menu is small, but they do have a wide assortment of milks to choose from, which is nice. The location itself is small with a "huge parking lot!". The menu doesn't explain what the beverage's are, so for the many people who get confused at a Starbucks drive thru, get ready to "ask alot of questions"and "be confused!" I tried asking for something similar to a "white mocha" iced, but she suggested something completely different and far from what I was looking for "Cold Brew". I went along with it cause "why not!?" I'll give the Cold Brew a go! Now here's where it gets bad.. normally cold brew should have "some" flavor, it just tasted like watered down coffee. Like I left it sitting in my car in the hot sun for a few hours then attempted to drink it. My wife got the "Mac Mocha", I know it has another title to it but I can't remember it. The menu doesn't really stick with you! It's forgetful, like the beverages will be. Her drink tasted the same, watered down, bland, completely no flavor. The crew member at the window was super sweet, although we didn't get a total or a receipt, we spent 10 bucks for two drinks "I found out later", Not bad for the price! Just hoped with such high praise this place would've had the flavor to back it up! Maybe will try again.. but seeing how those espresso machines are pulling shots, won't be any time soon. Went during the grand opening, lines were not as bad as I imagined. Drive thru went fairly quick and the guy at the drive thru was super friendly and nice! Drinks were pretty good and not too sweet. I'm a huge fan of Carmel (go to drinks are Carmel frap from Starbucks and Carmelizer from Dutch Bro's) so I tried the Granita and added Carmel. I was impressed that it wasn't over the top sweet, it was perfect. Really enjoyed it! My husband tried the Hot Mexi Mocha and he liked it, he said it tasted like the mexican hot chocolates. Was looking for somewhere to grab coffee since a few of the other coffee shops in the area close really early and found this place. I judged the book by its cover, if you will, and was skeptical that the coffee would be cheap and too sweet, but this place turned out to be great. Incredibly nice and helpful service (which is a rarity at most hipster coffee places, where the employees think its cool to be rude), didn't take forever to make our drinks, and the lattes we got were very, very good. I had seen The Human Bean around the corner from my work in Lake Forest (Orange County) but never tried it. BIG MISTAKE ON MY PART. I obviously deprived myself. A friend came to help fix some things at my parents house and said they didn't get a chance to stop here before they came. I offered to pick up a drink for them and decided to get one for myself and my mother. I got the protein smoothie (I already had caffeine and can't have too much), my mother had the java chip smoothie and our friend had the matcha blended smoothie. My drink was good, bland but a good bland. My mom liked her drink as well. They all come with a coffee bean on top of the drink which is really delicious. The next time we went, my mother got the matcha and I've gotten the Irish Creme Breve iced and we really enjoy this place. The staff is so nice and the service is pretty quick, even when there's 30 cars. Also, the prices are excellent. This is my new go-to. I've been coming to the Human Bean since I moved to Visalia in February. I often find that when I customize my drink with more than one syrup and cream, that it will be made incorrectly or inconsistently. As though maybe there isn't a standard on drink making and the overall quality depends on the person making it. I will clarify that I don't insanely modify my drinks. I usually add whipped cream and cinnamon. I'm not a picky coffee drinker and I'll usually take something even if it's made incorrectly, but this morning I went and ordered two large cold brews with heavy cream in one and cream in the other. The person who took my order offered cold foam, so I was like yeah sure! She also said I could put whatever flavor I wanted in the foam. I'm like, "sweet". I get to the window and neither cold brew has the milk I requested, so I asked if I could get some of each on the side rather than asking for my drinks to be remade as they were starting to get a line. I thought this was the nicer thing to do customer wise as I don't want to be that guy. I was handed a cup of heavy cream and when I asked for a cup of cream as well, a different barista came up to listen as if I was giving the other woman a hard time. She came up behind her and said "you only asked for heavy cream" and I said, "I'm sorry, but I asked for both" They handed me a cup with a very small amount of cream with no lid. It's disappointing to me that the Human Bean offers so many customizations for their drinks, but more often than not, customizing my drink will lead to confusion on both ends. The Human Bean needs to make their business more efficient to eliminate the bottlenecks they are having from the order taker to the drink production. I love the taste of their drinks, but I just want some consistency and better customer service. read more

My daughter and I were finally able to stop and try this amazing place! Let's just start by saying the iced caramel mocha is Delicious!The Pina Colada fruit smoothie is a definite must if you want something cool and refreshing in the heat.... But, the most AMAZING part of our visit was the customer service! I have to say, even if the coffee was not good, I would still go back to this place just because of the wonderful customer service experience that we received! The guy that helped us in the drive thru was so helpful, kind and just overall a wonderful human being! With all of the stresses in life that everyone is facing right now, this was absolutely a day changer and mood booster for my daughter and I! His cheer was so needed and even more appreciated! I was really looking forward to trying this place out, but was unfortunately let down both times I've visited. The first time I ordered a sugar free blended chai with almond milk and received a chunk of poorly blended ice with watery tasting chai concentrate. I ended up throwing most of it out. Second time around I just got a black iced tea and that was nothing special. I did try the frozen hot chocolate and that was decent. Customer service is very good and probably this place's saving grace (plus the cute inclusion of the chocolate covered coffee bean with every drink). Stick to Starbucks. I ordered a Salted Caramel cold brew and the coffee was extremely weak! The customer service was really good, they offered to remake it for me so I ordered it black without anything in it and yup they have really weak coffee. If you like iced coffee that is overpowered by artificial syrups, this is the place to go. For that reason I'm sticking to Starbucks. read more
