About a month ago, I started having neck and back problems that slowly turned into migraines. Once the migraines became an every day routine, I knew I needed to seek help. BEST MASSAGE EVER! I was in Tampa for a wedding and was having some serious neck and shoulder pain. I yelped for nearby massage places and saw the reviews for this place. At first I was skeptical bc they texted me after I called instead of answering. At first I was like, this is strange but I was desperate! (Turns out he has a hearing impairment). Benny was able to fit me right in the next day. He was patient enough to wait for me and give me directions since I am clueless in new cities. When I got there, I was skeptical of the location but that was all soon forgotten when the massage began. I have had many many massages and this has probably been the best. Most of the time masseuses attack my problem areas (tense shoulders and stiff neck) leaving me bruised and not relaxed at all. Though I know my body needed that to loosen the muscle a bit, I've always had to choose whether I wanted a relaxing massage or a deep one to handle the problem areas. Benny gave me both!!! Not only did he help out my problem areas but I was so relaxed I fell asleep, twice! I NEVER feel relaxed enough to sleep. Whatever he did to my neck and shoulders was magic! Spent 90 minutes with Benny today having structural work done. I've had Neuro-Muscular work done for the past several years by a guy I considered a genius....Benny blows him away. As has been said before, if you're looking for Massage Envy....go there. If you need the kind of work this man does....you found the guy. Book it....just don't snake my spot. Update - for several years I've had radio frequency ablation done on a nerve in my neck in order to reduce the pain enough to be functional. Along with that I've had Neuro-muscular work done to help and still I would turn my shoulders instead of my head (picture Frankenstein). Docs were talking about fusing vertebrate and I was leaning towards doing that when I found Benny. With him, I've stopped the ablation....and I have full range of motion where I did not prior to Benny. Surgery is not a consideration any longer. The man is a genius.....but you have to have the courage to let him do his thing. I won't lie...it hurts a lot, but then I'm probably a worst case scenario. Take max dosage of your favorite pain med prior to....grit your teeth, yell if you need to....but let him do it. It works. I get better every day. I think he may fix this entirely....which is shocking for me to say considering where I was prior to BENNY! Do it. read more

I can't say enough great things about Benny. I get a lot of massages and have had a lot of masseuses, but Benny ties for the top 2. I came in and told him exactly what hurts and he worked specifically on those areas. I hate when you tell a masseuse what hurts and they do their same old routine. I feel great. Benny brings the pain :) Honestly I have been looking for a knowledgeable professional for over six months since moving back to the area. I have two different orthopedic issues which require massage from someone who really understands muscle attachment, adhesions, etc. Benny impresses and has a superior command of skeletal and muscular anatomy. Spa-style relaxation massages and half-assed deep-tissue were all that I was finding but Benny knows how to bring clinical sports-massage and deep-tissue techniques to bear with enough force to actually make a difference. We found Benny based on his yelp reviews. We were in town to catch a cruise and after a red eye from California figured we could both use "tuneups". The appointments were easy to make via email/text and I have to say he is an absolute gem of a find. We scheduled a follow up appointment on our way out of town. The best way I'd describe his work would be intense neuromuscular. Relaxing it was not (although my boyfriend had a more relaxing experience) he did some intense release on my quads, hamstrings and glutes that did an amazing job on my sciatica. I came to Benny with severe lower back pain. While he was able to provide some relief during my initial appointment, I ended up feeling worse mid-week and actually collapsed from the pain. I couldn't walk or bend over or even sit. He had me come back (for free!), and after less than 30 minutes, I was able to leave almost completely pain-free. He was able to see so clearly what my issue was, and how he would be able to fix it. It was just a bit too involved for that first appointment-- and of course, it doesn't help that I went back to my normal exercise routine right after! As a yoga teacher, I am so impressed that he was able to educate me so thoroughly on my anatomical issues/imbalances. I WILL say that you'll endure the worst pain you will likely ever experience during an appointment. But after being in such debilitating pain, I was able to understand the purpose behind it, and now I have improved mobility and decreased pain overall. Benny is a true master of his craft, and I am so impressed with him. As a fitness instructor, I intend to recommend him to all of my clients for any physical ailments they bring to the table. I was a client of Benny's for a couple of years we also struck up a friendship or so I thought I have cerebral palsy so I feel that through his work on me he was majorly intuitive and good I don't say those things lightly I've gotten a lot of massage work done by a lot of people well today I think he went off his meds or something because I'm merely texted him for an appointment on a Monday because I threw out my back he replied by saying he no longer wants to work on me because my energy isn't right and he doesn't feel he can work on me anymore blah blah blah as far as I know we had no personal falling out or anything when I questioned him he became rude and unprofessional and highly personally insulting I no longer recommend him or his business I don't know what his problem is and I don't care if he didn't want to treat me he should have just said so instead of making it about my energy level excetera again rude and unprofessional read more

I highly recommend Benny. I am a court reporter/realtime captioner with repetitive stress issues in my neck, shoulders, arms, wrists. I've been a client of Benny's for over 4yrs now. Whether you have an athletic injury, car accident, or any of the normal everyday physical limitations that can creep in and cause an imbalance in the musculoskeletal system Benny will find it and get you on the path to healing. Benny has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation/Recreational Therapy and it shows. He isn't the average massage therapist in anyway; he has scientific training and he understands the musculoskeletal system of your body so that he can get right to the root of what is causing your issue. My husband found Benny via a Yelp review. Since the reviews helped me make my decision to book an appointment with Benny, I've also decided to post a review. Mine is detailed in case it helps others. Although the session was painful due to my injury, I now feel better and walk with less pain (literally after my appointment). I play tennis and pickleball, and injured my sciatica over the holiday weekend. Benny has flexible times available so I booked an appointment after work. I think his last appointment of the day is at 9:00PM so I have no worries about rushing from work. Although Benny is deaf, he can read lips so communicating in-person was great. Booking an appointment via his website or using the Genbook is super easy. I had no idea what to book so I booked a therapeutic massage for 60 mins. I ended up selecting the Structural session after talking about my ailment because that one is supposed to address the root cause. As expected, my session was not relaxing. I needed for him to help me fix the issue and not give me some fluffy massage and send me off. He explained what was happening with my body, and didn't sell me on anything. Said I should be good to go after my second session and to return if I have another injury. I do plan to go at least monthly for maintenance purposes. That's how impressed I was with him. I went in for my sciatica but he also worked on my should crepitation. I sound like a mess but I've been athletic all my life. Mostly injury free but have hiccups here and there. Whether you have so-called hiccups or regular injuries, it's worth your time to visit Benny. Get your issued sorted out and start anew. I booked my next appointment right away. To say that I got the best massage I ever had, would be an understatement. I have received probably several hundreds of massages around the United States (I travel a lot for work) and Benny is a MIRACLE worker. He didn't just give me a massage .... he healed me! I am a professional dancer/choreographer and spent my life knowing and having a great understanding of my body, however I was very surprised that he found several areas of scar tissue and was knowledgable enough to show me the outcome of an injury I did two years ago!! How did he find this and I didn't even know I had residual muscle damage?! He also is the first massage therapist to pin point the cause of my chronic shoulder injury and after working on it, I have more mobility in it than I've had in years. I would fly back here just for the opportunity to have him work on my body again. The only small downside is that his studio is off of the gym so you hear people working out, (though this did not bother me because I welcomed the distraction to help me breathe through the pain).
