Absolutely delicious. I ordered the smash burger with no tomatoes and lettuce and a side of tots. Nice little sitting area in front of the food truck. Owner/chef was very nice. My husband and I stumbled upon this place when we went to shoot pool at Barefoot Bob's, tonight. It was our first time trying it, and it's the best BBQ in both Valley's! The smash burger was one of the best burgers we've had in Arizona, and we're natives. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich with the coleslaw add-on. It came with jalapeños, pickled onion, and a pickle on the side. It's the first pulled pork sandwich we've tried that really shouldn't (and doesn't) come covered in sauce. On to the sides... BEST BBQ beans I've ever had- packed with flavor- and the Hog Krak is addicting. If you're ever in the area, you must try this place! We know we'll be back soon! read more

The Squealing Hog is a food truck style BBQ restaurant operating out of a trailer.  The food trailer is semi-permanently installed behind a fence next to the side of a building housing a mighty fine pool hall which goes by the name of Barefoot  Bob's Billiards. At the Squealing Hog I ordered for pickup.   I got the Chicago style hot dog, a pulled pork sandwich, beans, and slaw.   The slaw was horrible.  It smelled like fish (for some unknown reason) and the taste was beyond disgusting.  I had to spit it out and wash up.  It may have been smoke that I tasted, but that hardly matters.  This was just out-and-out awful.  The Hot dog for my wife was fine, until three or four hours later when she started vomiting up all she had eaten.  The pulled pork was nothing more than plain old roast pork, with some caramelized onion and canned jalapeño, with BBQ sauce on the side. The pork was pretty bland, and I had trouble tasting any smoke at all.  After the slaw, I was afraid to try the BBQ sauce that came with the pork.   The beans were straight out of a can, I swear, even if not, it tasted just like Campbell's Pork and Beans. To me, one good item out of four is pretty bad for my first visit to any new restaurant.  I had called earlier asking about the menu and the woman on the phone was quite pleasant.  The man at the truck however was quite rude.  The cost was about what I expected -- but the food was not.  I would give this a zero if I could; maybe even a negative five.  But I can't, so it gets a one-start review for being foul and unpleasant in all regards. read more

Anxious for it to be warm to sit outside in the cute patio area since it's a food truck. Love to go back to try the pulled pork and Tri tip. Maybe next week? Amazing food. And it's close to home. Chicago dogs, smash burgers, hog krak, and delicious sides. I'll work my way through the menu eventually. I'm unenthusiastic about virtually every restaurant in town. I like Steve's on Robert rd for breakfast and this place for the other meals. The best BBQ I have had in ages! Yes, it's a food truck and a little hidden away, but worth the drive! The brisket sandwich was tasty, lean, and not dry; comes on a brioche bun which was a nice change from sesame buns. The coleslaw was great! Crunch with a tangy sauce. (Even good next day) The pulled pork was heavenly! The smoked flavor seeped into every bite and no overdone crunchy bits. The sauce--I hope it's homemade because it was off the charts yummy!! My only negative was that my smoked pecan pie was over smoked and like a pecan jerky treat. Too hard to chew but I see where they were going with it. Can't wait to try this place again!! Took my family there had briskit sandwich. BBQ rib sandwich and a rack of ribs. All of it was awesome. These guys know how to do the meats.
