My yummy Jack's lager from Abby's Brewery in MA

AMAZING! Wow! The bestest burger I ever had! No secret sauce or onion or pickle for me! I ordered mine well done. Thinking, yeah, I know it will be dry. But nope! The juices streaming down my hand were not my imagination! Love this place! I'm not a local but boy do I wish I had something like this local! This place was suggested to me by the owners, Kaelan and Blessings of the inn I'm staying at, Harvest Barn Inn, in Bellow Falls. That's for another amazing review! Eat here and eat often! Had live music and picnic tables outside. I sat inside with my book and beer. Oh, right! 16 local craft beers to choose from as well! Go, NOW!

Pickled stuff. Surprisingly excellent. Didn't dig the pickled melon but everything else was spot on.

Grab a menu on the left as you enter. Check the specials list right next to the menu rack and step up to order. We're new to New Hampshire and have been checking out the local restaurants. The Hungry Diner was recommended and it didn't disappoint. We visited at 1 pm on a Saturday. There weren't many folks there and the food arrived quickly. The Chocolate shake was memorable. The service quick, friendly, and efficient. See photos for food commentary. We look forward to returning and trying the burger and beer side of the menu.

Haven't been here in 4 or 5 years. I was so glad to see that it's still here. It's not a diner as you may think, more of a gastro pub. It's one decent size open space with spartan decor. As you enter the menus are on your left on the wall, pick up a menu & place order at the bar/counter. There's a blackboard listing about a dozen local craft brews, they also have local craft liquor, then proceed to seat yourself. They will bring the food to your table. I decided to sit at the bar After perusing the menu ordered The Three Little Pig sandwich - pork patty, bacon, Bonnie bacon jam, local cheddar, lettuce, tomato & pickle chips on the side along with a generous portion of fries, also ordered a local IPA & it was perfect, could have gone for another but I was a solo driver. This is real farm to table and as local, as local can be. The chef could probably name the hog that the meat came from, can't wait for my next opportunity to return

Fantastic food, great service, solid beer selection, and tasty cocktails. Visited two nights in a row because the first night was so good. And definitely one of the best burgers I've ever had. Highly highly recommend this place. Not a diner, but a true farm-to-table restaurant. And they even had live music!

Drove an hour to get here since my husband said it was very good. I am not a fan of order then sit down but whatever. I never know what to tip. I gave 20% but honestly 15-18% would of done just fine. Most order to sit down does not come w service beyond bringing you your order. We ordered a chicken sandwhich, burger w bacon added, a Moscow mule and 1 beer for $61. It was a pricey lunch for sure. Chicken sandwhich had great flavor but was on the small side...to me not filling. The burger was excellent. Cooked perfectly and was juicy. Double patty and filling. I would just go w the burger next time. Great beer selection average price $9 bucks per beer. A variety of milk shakes for $8-9. We had the maple shake and it was outstanding. A little too out of my way to return but I would try again if I was in the area.

3 pig. Fish and Chip. Entity IPA, Moscow Mule.

Excellent burgers and craft beer selection. Order up front and they bring to your table. Makes for a great dining experience and the use of clocks ingredients and house made everything is nice. Although I suspect Heinz ketchup....

Great vibes here. Love that they incorporate the beef, pork, chicken, turkey, and eggs from their farm into the dishes. Even the dishes that don't include farmed ingredients are delicious as well. We got the nacho fries (special), fish sandwich and rabbit pierogis (I believe it was a special entree when we went). All were very tasty, the fish was super crunchy and flavorful. The rabbit pierogi were good but would try something different next time. Definitely try the cider or kombucha. I got a lemonade and it was a little too sour but I believe it was homemade. The glasses they use for water and pints are super cute, and they sell them as well!!

Pickle jar - beautiful and delicious. The eye has to eat too...as they say. :-)

We were passing through and thought we'd give it a try. O.M.W.!!! - this place is amazing! Started with pickle jar and chicken lollipops (Korean bbq). Then some poutine with real curds and legit gravy. Creamy Chicken soup was next...so delicate and flavorful. I'll take a gallon of the soup to go please! Lastly, Chicken sandwich with tomatoe jam, and washed it down with a mocha milkshake. All I have to say is JUST GO, and GO NOW! Beer selection is killer, not to mention you can get a cocktail too! Ambiance is perfect and just completes the entire experience. Will be coming back for sure.

The Hungry Diner is a gem of a spot in Walpole, NH easily found right off the main road that has a elevated pub food menu which is locally sourced. Inside, the dining area with bar is on smaller side, but is clean and inviting. You order inside at the counter and staff brings out your food. We opted for sitting outdoors on the front lawn with a fire pit and picnic tables overlooking nice sunset fall foliage on a distant hill. Excellent regionally local craft beer list- bartender was friendly and I had a try of a delicious porter before deciding. I had the chickenwich which comes with pickles and handcut fries which was very good, but for the $17 dollar price tag I wished there was more of that delicious local fried buttermilk chicken patty as it was definitely smaller and I was still hungry (I'd probably try the burger next time). My wife, who is vegetarian had the sliced beet, squash and goat cheese sandwich special which was phenomenal! All sandwiches come on awesome bread and rolls of high quality. My family members clearly loved their food choices too. I will definitely be back, I just hope their prices don't go up much more so I can go more often!

This brewery is perched on the side of a mountain with one of the best views of the valley below. For a travel day during the winter travel season it was busy but not overly full. The place is cash only which is posted and they have an atm in the front room for ease. The mountain rustic decor matches the place and area. There was counter service for food and drinks. They had both canned cocktails, wine and locally made beers to sample. The beer selection is great if you like IPA's. We ordered two pizzas and both came out quickly from their in room wood fired oven and were absolutely delicious. Definitely worth a stop if you're traveling near by or during leaf peeping season

Firstly I will say they did have a sign saying cash only, but do have an ATM for those without any. It is also a place you sit yourself and then order at the bar. It is located at an absolutely beautiful scenic view and they do have some outside seating so you can have a brew and pizza with a nice view! Beer wise I enjoyed their All Day Drinker and it was a light and crushable brew with more malt than hops shining through. My wife got their lemon drop sour which was refreshing with a hint of tartness. They also had a cider as well as some IPAs and non-alcoholic options too. Pizza wise they had a good variety of options including some not so traditional choices. The prices ranged from cheese being $20 and going up to $25 for the most. Those not interested in pizza are out of luck unless the one salad sounds good to them though I will say. Since we had 6 people in our group we ended up choosing 4 different pizzas. Our selections were Meatiator (think meat lovers), Potato Pie (mashed potatoes, bacon, sour cream, etc), Honey Apple Pie (honey, apple slices, cheeses, bacon, ricotta, basil), and lastly Okie Dokie Artichoke (garlic oil, lemon marinated artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, sausage, cheese, and red pepper flakes). It gave us a really good variety and like I said above our whole party enjoyed the pizzas. Had a great cook to it, with lots of toppings that packed in lots of flavor. The Okie Dokie may have been the crowd favorite while the Honey Apple Pie was the most surprising flavor. Leaned towards sweet with the honey and apples but wasn't quite dessert pizza. Great spot to come for a pizza and beer/drink while also taking in the nearby view!

This place has been a Wilmington staple since 1997, and you can tell they've spent the last nearly 30 years perfecting the craft. The atmosphere is incredible. While the original 1850s building was lost to a fire in 2010, the current space is a beautiful, faithful replica that feels historic and cozy. It's the perfect spot for a post-ski dinner or a summer night out. Here's the breakdown of what you need to order: The Chowder: This is proper New England clam chowder. It's thick, rich, and loaded with clams--not just a bowl of potatoes and heavy cream. It's the ultimate comfort food. Steamers: You have to start with the steamers. They are clean, sweet, and served the traditional way with a side of broth and drawn butter. It's a messy, delicious classic that they do perfectly here. Whole Belly Clams: These are the gold standard. They're lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and have that sweet, briny pop you usually only find at a roadside shack on the Maine coast. If you're a fan of "the bellies," don't skip these. The Lobster: I went for the steamed lobster, and it was impeccable. Succulent chunks of fresh meat and just the right amount of butter. It tasted like it was caught that morning. It's rare to find a spot that balances a "fancy night out" feel with such unpretentious, high-quality food. Whether you're a local or just passing through for the foliage, make sure you stop here.

We actually got pretty good attention when sitting at the bar. I ordered the Broiled Seafood Sampler because I like seafood and anytime I can get a variety in a dish, I'll go for that. The sampler consisted of haddock, salmon, scallops, and shrimp. The dish contained plenty of the fish and only two pieces each of the scallops and shrimp. The dish was not what I was expecting because of the crumb topping and creamy sauce. It was fine. We definitely got a good portion and the linguine with garlic and oil was fantastic! It was definitely garlicky, just the way I like it.

What you'd hope for in an updated rustic old Vermont building. 2. The service has been excellent on both visits, with the caveat that breakfast is busy and the food took a long time to arrive. 3. Breakfast was solid. Not transcendent but solid eggs and toast and home fries and coffee and everybody seemed happy. Room for improvement 1. For Putney Vermont - get some decent vegan and vegetarian options. 2. The veggie burger was bean based, mushie old-school 70's style. Fell apart as soon as you picked it up. 3. The cheeseburger was good. It's just that for $18 you could show a little more attention to detail. A greenish slice of winter tomato. A single leaf of iceberg lettuce. 2 ringlets off an onion slice. And no pickle. 4. The fries that came with it had to be sent back to be cooked longer. And there was a big puddle of oil on the plate once I slid the par-cooked fries onto a side dish. The server was lovely about it and they came back fast and cooked through. But my guess is the oil wasn't hot enough hence the grease puddle. 5. The chicken orzo soup was meh. I don't try it. Brought it home for sick family member. And sorry but my personal pet peeve - the pre-calculated tip options were 20,22,25% and all calculated on top of the sales tax. Understand that it has gotten VERY expensive to go out for a burger for your average local. So putting a little more attention into it would be greatly appreciated. All the best, and thank you.
