Stayed at the Imogene hotel. Absolutely ZERO complaints. It was SUPER clean (and I'm kind of a clean freak), quiet (we were here during the week) and adorable. Our room was the Silver Belle. The views from the room itself is incredible. The only thing that was unexpected was this isn't really a hotel rather a shared airbnb/ restaurant with separated rooms that lock (but I think that's fairly common in this location ‍) But it was an amazing experience. Part of the reason we booked this location was for the rooftop patio and it did NOT disappoint. The Thai restaurant will serve you food there as well which is delicious! I definitely would stay here again if I come back to Ouray!

    Beautiful view from the rooftop!

Went to our neighboring mountain town of Ouray during the 4th of July weekend, and boy was the town packed and the weather hot! By mid-afternoon after a little shopping and hiking we decided to grab a quick drink to cool down. Landed at The Imogene because I've been dying to go since they opened up and wanted to hit up their rooftop patio! Last order time was at 2:00pm, so we had to hustle but it did not disappoint. Since we already had lunch we just ordered drinks. They have this slick touch-less system where you scan their QR code to see their menu and place your order. We ordered a Diet Coke and a Margarita. Holy moly! Best marg in town!!! Their roof top is da bomb! Can't wait to come back!

My husband and I stayed in the lucky twenty room for one night. It was super cute and clean. Loved the bathroom with the claw foot tub! It's right on the Main Street with lots of walkable food and shops. The coffee bar room was nice as well with plenty of fridge space, cold water, and ice. Everything around it seemed to shut down by 9pm so once that was the case, the hotel itself was nice and quiet all night. I'd def stay here again!

I'd say four for drink, three for food, and three for cleanliness. The drinks were good, though a hair expensive for what you're getting. You're definitely paying for the rooftop bar views and being in a super touristy area. They had a sign outside bragging about ten craft beers on tap, except they were out of all the good ones. You order through QR code but staff were helpful with questions. The rooftop was awesome while it lasted and before we had to move inside because of a thunderstorm. Because of that, our second round of drinks just sat in some weird in-between space and we didn't get them served. Luckily, one of the guys saw we were waiting for a long time, asked our situation, and grabbed the drinks. The fries with gravy, cheese, and meat were crazy salty. My partner is your typical salt loving potato eater and even thought they were too salty. The bathrooms were...disgusting. One had no soap, and one had no hand towels. I was actually really surprised that nobody was tending to the bathrooms, because once everybody had to move inside away from the rooftop, there were three extra workers standing around doing nothing that eventually went home. Nobody checked the bathrooms which were suffering. The staff were hit or miss. There were mostly helpful staff, but one of the female bartenders who seemed really busy with being on her phone, was not very nice. My partner ordered beer and after waiting a while (again!), he went to the bar to pick up his drink there so she didn't have to leave to bar to bring it to the table. She seemed super offended by it and told him she would bring it out. She ended up bringing the wrong beer (she brought the one he previously had, not the new style he ordered in the app). I looked at her and said thank you and she literally just walked away. ¿Que? Overall, it was a 3 star experience, but I'm giving it four stars because there were two cool make staff members who were really nice. Maybe just bring your own soap ;)

Absolutely beautiful!! There is nowhere in Ouray you can get better views-and the hospitality is warm. Stuart was making sure drinks were timely and just right. He also lit cozy heaters outside. Truly a thoughtful person of hospitality! The views? Oh my god! The views on the rooftop! And thoughtful, well appointed decor inside and out!

The rooftop bar offers a breathtaking view of this cute little town. It's a must to have an old fashioned, sit back and relax. The bar staff are very friendly and attentive.

Fantastic view from the best Rooftop in Ouray! Thanks Stewart for our 50th birthday happy hour we had last night, it was awesome! We want to come back and stay in the hotel next time.

Spectacular views with amazing food and cocktails - don't miss it! We had the mussels and the pork chop - both were extraordinary. The made an outstanding Old Fashion with a sufficient wine list.

We were in town for an event that included dinner but we ended up bailing on that and based on the recommendation of the bartender at the Imogene Hotel we ended up here. They have a small dining room that apparently is almost always booked out so we ate at the bar. Really nothing negative to say. Service was prompt and friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with the hostess that seated us and our servers. They offer chef specials for a starter (salad) and for multiple entrees. They also offer a daily special cocktail. The food was solid and the presentations were really well done. I posted our salad courses to show how they handle it. The wife had the on menu ember roasted beet and apple salad. While the apples were scant the overall flavor was fantastic and the local goat cheese had tremendous punch. The salad was perfectly dressed with a lemon vinaigrette. I went with the off menu local tomato and cucumber salad which also included feta, dill, a red wine vinegar dressing and some zaatar seasoning. Again a solid dish, pretty to look at and great tasting. I went with chef special of venison stew. Again, perfectly cooked, the venison fork tender, the vegetables being cooked al dente and the broth being so good I wanted order a cup and just drink it up. We love bolognese and make it at home all the time. the on menu version used just lamb for the protein which (to us) was a bit unusual as you will usually see them with multiple meats. Suffice it to say, this did not need it. The flavor was out of this world fantastic, the rigatoni was cooked perfectly and the freshly grated parmesan was the perfect touch to enhance the overall flavor. Score this a solid 10 - when we return Ouary we will be back to eat here and may even try the hotel out.

I saw a lot of complaints about their hot tubs but there was a staff of people cleaning them today and some of them looked " slimier" than others , those looked like the ones most used . Up top were the best ones , but slippery getting in so be careful ! They have breakfast in the morning with eggs, sausage , bacon , waffles etc . We didn't go until after 9am and yes , they still had food and more coming out . We had a king accessible room so it was probably a little different from the regular rooms. It was spacious but one of the lights wasn't working so we had to drag a lamp over to the table area. There was a microwave and good size fridge and a small, pod coffee maker on the dresser. IMO the coffee was pretty good. Our couch also pulled out into a bed. They had coffee/tea in the lobby and passed out brown bag breakfasts in the morning. Our bathroom could have used some counter space but there wasn't any. The shower was tiny but did have a bench and grab bars. The whole thing was porta-potty sized and only had a hand held sprayer with very weak water pressure, but it was clean. They did provide bar soap and had shampoo and body wash dispensers in the shower. The whole room was pretty clean and almost bug free - which for Colorado mountain towns says a lot. It was showing some wear but it was nice to have the air conditioning unit even if it was noisy and didn't work very well. There was also a portable floor fan in the small closet along with a luggage stand and bench for the shower. If someone needs an accessible room this one was very complete. I chatted with John, the owner, a couple of times and he is very nice and pretty mellow. His daughter Laura is also very friendly and sweet. Really the biggest issue we had was lack of maid service. When I went to ask about clean towels, John told me to put our used ones on the chair outside our door. We did that the next day at 7am, got back to the room about 3:30pm and the used towels were gone but there were no new ones. I went to the lobby and got towels and when we left for dinner there was a stack of clean towels on the chair. No one ever emptied our trash or even checked the room the whole week. It wasn't that we needed much but the website and handout we received both stated they had daily maid service. For $250/night I would have expected better communication. I did really enjoy the firepit area and hot tubs and we were able to have friends over one evening to socialize on the patio. I do recommend The River's Edge but it's important to clarify expectations on what's included.
