This is one of the stores that we stopped in! The Olive Shoppe is a store that sells all different kinds of Olives, and Olive oils and their infusions, like with balsamic, and it is fresher too. My Mom and I actually have been in a few shops like this on various trips in Lancaster PA, and NJ. So we are familiar with this type of place. The Olive Shoppe also has locations in Market Commons here, as well as another location in SC. Walked in and employee was friendly and greeted us. We then looked around at the olives and brought some kind of stuffed olive. We then looked at all the various types of Olive Oils which they had many different items and infused flavors. One can cook with them, One can use it as some kind of marinade, and lots of other things. One can also try the Olive Oil to see if you like it, and can buy it. We both tried the Avacado Olive Oil, and enjoyed it! So we got that. Plus avacado is supposed to be good for a person. We brought Avacado Olive oil, some stuffed olives, and something else, plus we got a olive oil holder that helps the container stay fresh. Purchasing that we got a discount on our items. We paid via credit card. We look forward to using our new olive oil! We will be back soon if we want more items!

Olive Garden. Everything was delicious. Love their soup & salad. I would recommend it to anyone.read more

Benny's is a true find. Upon entering we were happily greeted and sat at the bar first for a cocktail. We enjoyed looking at the wine wall enclosed in glass a nice feature. Our bartender was very personable, and we enjoyed seeing the lite up menus for both specialty cocktails and dinning. What a GREAT idea a lite up menu. We then were seated in the main dining area with perfect lighting for a quite romantic dinner. We loved the music in the dining area of Frank Sinatra and the Rat Pack as well as the beautiful mural of the Rat Pack, Marylin Monroe and Liz Talyor. Our server did an awesome job explaining the specials on the board as well as letting us know that if we didn't see something specific on the menus we wanted, they could arrange to have it cooked. We loved the fried calamari appetizer and enjoyed the garlic bread along with the house salads. Our appetizer, salads and meal were perfectly timed coming out. Our service did a wonderful job making us feel at home and not rushed at all. Our entrees were also wonderful. We are so glad we found this place only 30 minutes from our new home in Sunset Beach. We felt at home in this wonderful authentic Italian restaurant. Can't wait to go back. Thank you, Benny's Trattoria.

The stuffed banana peppers were among the best appetizers I've ever tasted -flavorful and cooked perfectly. The flattened, whole calamari was the best I've ever had, but later discovered we were lucky this night as it is only a special order in advance. I ordered the veal marsala medium rare, but it was initially served rare and too difficult to eat. I sent it back and the second preparation was much better. This restaurant is close to earning a five star rating from me with a couple of tweaks to kitchen execution and consistency, it has the foundation for being an outstanding dining experience.

I was greeted promptly and warmly, and the bartender quickly gathered my order, including a slice of cheesecake that looked too good in the front display to pass up. Even though my order was to-go, the atmosphere inside the restaurant stood out. The space felt relaxed and comfortable, not overly loud even though it was more than half full. A gentleman was playing soft jazz on the piano in the corner at just the right volume, which added a really nice touch to the overall vibe. But the food is the star. I ordered the Vegetariana and the Margherita, and both were excellent. The brick-oven crust had the perfect texture: crisp and lightly charred on the outside with a soft, chewy interior that held up beautifully under the toppings. The Vegetariana was loaded with mushrooms, olives, roasted red peppers, and fresh greens over a bright tomato sauce and melted cheese. The toppings were generous but balanced, and everything tasted fresh. The Margherita was simple and classic, with fresh mozzarella, tomato, and basil. The ingredients really shine in a pizza like this, and it was outstanding. And the cheesecake absolutely lived up to the promise from the display case: rich, smooth, and dense with a buttery graham crust. A perfect finish to the meal. Great service, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent brick-oven pizza. I'll definitely be back.

The food is always fresh & reasonably priced. Atmosphere is very chill & staff is friendly. There are soooo many Italian choices in NMB & I've tried almost all of them. Rapone is our go-to regularly. Nick is an absolute legend!…read more We came to Portofino not knowing what to expect, and we left completely blown away -- and honestly, a huge part of that was our waiter, Nick. This guy is on another level. From the moment we sat down, Nick's energy, knowledge, and genuine passion for hospitality set the tone for the entire evening. He wasn't just taking our order -- he was curating an experience. Now let's talk about the Cacio e Pepe -- insanely good doesn't even begin to cover it. It was perfectly executed: silky, bold, with just the right bite of pepper. Classic done right. But you know what made it taste even better? Nick. He recommended it with such confidence and enthusiasm that we had to order it, and he absolutely delivered. Nick was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without being pretentious, and just an all-around fantastic human being. He made us feel like VIP guests from start to finish -- checking in at exactly the right moments, offering spot-on suggestions, and keeping the whole experience flowing effortlessly. If you go to Portofino, you absolutely should ask for Nick by name. He is the kind of server that reminds you why going out to dinner is supposed to be a special occasion. We will 100% be back, and Nick is a big reason why. Portofino, you have a gem on your staff. Treat him well!
