    perfect Margherita pizza
    Steve M.

After a long day, we were a bit too tired to eat at a restaurants so we decided to get a pizza to go. After reviewing the options online, Rappone, Brick Oven seemed the logical choice. You can smell the smoke from the pizza crust as soon as you get out of the car, which is even more pronounced when you walk into the restaurant. My pizza was waiting when I arrived, but the dessert display looked so good, I had to add a large piece of chocolate Cake, and a servicing of Tiramisu. The Margherita pizza was cooked perfectly and tasted even better. The crust was dark like we like it, and the fresh tomato based sauce and fresh Mozzarella were amazing. The chocolate Cake was fresh, moist, with Creamy icing and delicious. The wife typically does not like Chocolate cake, but she loved this one. The Tiramisu didn't disappoint either. Service was great so 5 stars all the way around.

The food was delicious!! The service was attentive, personal and efficient. The ambience gave small Italian cafe vibes and we were there for it!! We couldn't resist getting two appetizers- the flatbread special sounded too good to pass up- and it was. Rigatoni is this pasta of the house and it tastes handmade. Highly recommend the little hidden gem!

Locals - you're incredibly lucky to have a place like this in your backyard. Visitors - make this a MUST STOP for a night during your trip. Every single thing our family ordered was delicious. We got the pizza for an appetizer, a special of ravioli with pink sauce, homemade lasagna, and chicken parm. The ravioli was by far the best tasting thing we got, but all the food was so good. Everything was fresh - sauces, pastas, pizza, it really tasted like home cooked food and not a premade takeout! Our server was so attentive and thoughtful and it's just a really nice little place to eat!

I think I have told y'all before that I'm a pizza authority! Got the certificate, badge and all! I know pizza! A authentic pizza expert! Ok, now that I have proven my expertise. I had some great pizza today. Truly good brick oven pizza. My wife actually picked out this spot in North Myrtle Beach and she had me at brick oven! As far as I am concerned if pizza is not cooked in a traditional Woodfired brick oven then it's just microwave pizza! Ha! Someone is gonna kill me for saying that! But this pizza spot was nice. Small, quant, had a guy playing the piano and a real Italian Bisto kinda vibe. We went with the margarita pizza which always a good test for pizza. Avoid all the extra topping because they often mask the true landmarks of pizza, the crust, the sauce, and the cheese. Rapone hit all marks. Thin crispy crust, zesty sauce and real buffalo mozzarella cheese. The service was awesome and we topped it off with some made to order cannolis! Winning!

This is THE spot for pizza when you visit Myrtle Beach! We had the Vesuvio and it knocked our socks off. Fantastic! Check it out.

We were in town for a girls trip and we stopped in for some good food and we found it. The pizza was perfection, desserts were devine and drinks were good. Service was excellent! We will for sure be back when we go back to Myrtle Beach.

This restaurant really made me feel back home in Europe. The ingredients used are great quality, the ambiance is casual and very welcoming. That's the key! I went with my family twice in 3 days! I had the Ribeye twice (cooked on wood !) and we also had the Grouper special with lemon pasta (delicious) and we tried some pizzas and mussels. Everything was perfect! The owner is very friendly and really cares about his customers. I'm lactose intolerant so he told me no worries, we cook on demand! You can also talk to him and have a conversation which is very valuable! We need more small restaurants like this in USA! Also, their house wine is very decent and their wine list is very good price! You can get a wine (big) carafe for 20$. I would definitely come have a nice, casual dinner like at home. If you appreciate real food and like eating without rushing (the way it should be), this is your place! Also, service was great both days. Young servers, very attentive and helpful, cool people! Btw, they do espressos! Hopefully we go back to Myrtle again! I currently live in Raleigh.

The live music is amazing! This quaint restaurant is perfect for a nice evening. The crust of the pizza was perfect, the right mix of crunch and chewiness. The sauce was a little sweet but still delicious. The waiter and guest were all helpful and friendly. Will definitely return.

The inside of this restaurant is so charming and welcoming, and when we went they even had a live pianist! The food was pretty good, and well portioned- we each managed to bring half of our meals home. However, the prices weren't great. My fettuccine alfredo with chicken was nearly 25$. However, it's a good place to split a meal :)

The beginning of this experience was subpar. We were sat down and no one came to our table for 25 mins. We had to flag someone down. I don't know where the error occurred, but it was irritating. The rest of the meal was great. Our server, Jacob, once we got him was very good. He took our whole order at once and the food came out quickly. The pizzas were all delicious. The quality and ingredients were amazing. The Raponese is closest to a meat lovers. The Sweet and Spicy leaned toward a sweeter pizza with the honey. All the food was great. They did forget a salad and bread with the pasta though. There was nice Italian theming throughout the restaurant. It's pretty small inside, so I definitely recommend reservations. Overall, this restaurant was great, but the beginning did hamper the experience.

It said that they were open every day from 11 to 11 however we arrived and found out this was false. We showed up around 12:30 and saw that their hours on their front door were different than the ones they had listed on Apple Maps. This was very disappointing since we had not eaten and traveled an hour just to eat there. We decided to go hungry and burn a few hours until they opened at four. When we came back at 4:05 we noticed there was a line outside the door and it was because they had not opened yet. We were very confused and thought maybe they were closed altogether for the holidays or something. They ended up letting us all in around 4:08 and told us that they cook did not show up. So it looked like there were only two bartenders that were actually there to open the place. They told us they could serve us drinks, but no food... At this point, we were starving and so disheartened that we had waited all this time and we weren't even going to be able to eat! We decided to sit down and wait and see if the cook ever showed up, he never did. The bartender decided to take our order and was going to try to prepare the food himself. My mom tried to order a sub, but he said he was only gonna be making pizzas. So my mom got a pepperoni pizza. I got a cheese pizza and it came out great, it was very delicious. Even warmed up great as leftovers the next day. Was almost even better a day later. I appreciate them for making it work and serving the customers to the best of their ability given their circumstances. I would give it five stars if their hours had been correctly displayed on maps and if the cook had showed up to the restaurant. The Christmas decor was wonderful. this would've been a great experience. Had everything played out differently. I do hope to be able to come back next year around Christmas and hopefully a cook will show up that day. Haha

I try to be as objective as I can be, even after reviewing others experiences, but our experience merely confirmed what several other reviewers have experienced. We arrived as a party of 10 and were seated immediately, we were asked for our drink order and I was the only one that ordered a draft beer. At the time we were seated which was about 5:45 pm on a Friday there were only 2 other tables occupied. We spent some time reviewing the menus and it was about 10-15 minutes before my drink was delivered. The waitress asked if we needed a few more minutes to order and we said we did. after being there for another 30 minutes we had to track down the waitress and tell her we were ready to order. We ordered out food, no appetizers, and then waited another half hour to get one order which was a cheeseburger for one of the kids, but it did not have the cheese. We did not get any more of our for another 10 minutes when the remainder of the orders started to arrive which did not include the extra order of ranch (extra charge) that was ordered and we had to ask for it 3 times before it was delivered. The 'Holy Shiitake" pizza's we ordered were delivered luke warm and very greasy. Overall service was slow and mediocre at best. I left with my grandson before the bills were delivered which took a long time to come as well. My wife stayed with the rest of the family and paid for her and myself and our daughter paid for their family and friend. When we arrived home together I reviewed the receipt and was shocked. Since it was a party of 10 they added a mandatory 20% gratuity added. We did not see this listed anywhere on the menu nor was this explained when we were seated. We have been to MANY restaurants in the North Myrtle Beach area with large parties and have not had this requirement. What is the worst, and something I feel is taking advantage of people is when the gratuity is added to the total bill inclusive of taxes. Since when are we required to pay a tip on taxes? And, where did 20% come from, isn't the normal group gratuity 18%? Finally, a gratuity is based on food quality and services provided which this experience would not deserve a 18% gratuity let alone a 20% level. When I saw this I immediately called the restaurant and left a message for a return call from the manager which mid next day has still not occurred. I would strongly suggest that should you decide to visit this franchised location of Mellow Mushroom be aware of the potential issues you may experience.
