I had seen this place come across on Facebook on past trips but we never made it that far north. The menu on the wall and quaint space seemed inviting. We took a shot stopping here without a reservation but was happily accommodated. They do have physical menus that light up along with written in the board. We started with the garlic bread which was garlicky goodness. My husband had a Caesar salad said was out of this world. I got the lasagna that was a mix of Italian sausage and beef, very tasty. My husband had the Wahoo which was delicious as well. He had the tartufo dessert.

Exceptional service from start to finish. A unique touch was that the menus and bill holders were illuminated when opened. The stuffed banana peppers were among the best appetizers I've ever tasted -flavorful and cooked perfectly. The flattened, whole calamari was the best I've ever had, but later discovered we were lucky this night as it is only a special order in advance. I ordered the veal marsala medium rare, but it was initially served rare and too difficult to eat. I sent it back and the second preparation was much better. This restaurant is close to earning a five star rating from me with a couple of tweaks to kitchen execution and consistency, it has the foundation for being an outstanding dining experience.

Very casual, local vibe going on here. Service exceeded our expectations. The woman that helped us was phenomenal. We started with the brushetta and the fresh mutz with tomatoes. Both were fresh and very well done. More than enough to share amongst the table. We did have two orders of garlic bread as well to fill the gap. For dinner, I went with the Linguini with white clam sauce. Linguini was cooked close to al dente. Clams and sauce was very good. Evident that it was not sitting around for awhile My wife got the eggplant parm which I was able to try and that was a solid option that I could've went with as well. Our son went with the Chicken Denise and once again, I snuck a taste and equally as tasty in its own way as it was cooked in a wine based sauce. Dessert, we went with cannolis and I went with the Lemoncello marscapone mousse cake which was excellent. Especially if you're a fan of Lemoncello. When your passing by or looking for a good meal and in the area, this one is worth giving a shot.

We were able to go on a Saturday evening without a reservation, which is great. We arrived at about 6 PM. We were quickly seated and our server Ivy was awesome. She was very helpful with recommendations, and the food was absolutely delicious and well worth the price.

Food: must go for the mussels or really anything with the white wine garlic sauce. Never had a bad bite there, worth a visit. Service: very friendly and professional. Very attentive. Ambiance: pretty classy, wine wall is really cool.

There's plenty of places to eat in the area, but Benny's is without a doubt one of the best! The atmosphere is very nice without feeling too stuffy or "fancy." Our server Leanne was extraordinary! She was very friendly, helpful, and very attentive to our table's needs. The food was excellent! I ordered the scallops a la vodka and it was one of the best Italian meals I've ever had. The scallops were cooked to perfection and the sauce was amazing stellar! They also make a great espresso martini made with freshly extracted espresso.

Our second visit and even better than our first visit. The veal chop was super. The Chicken Parm was great. The salads did not disappoint. We were fortunate enough to sit at the bar with Carry Ann serving as our bartender and serving our food. She offered great suggestions and guidance around the menu. Fantastic service and made us feel at home. Benny's is definitely a hidden gem in North Myrtle Beach.

We originally planned to try another highly rated Italian restaurant in the area, but after reading…read moremore detailed reviews, it seemed overpriced with inconsistent quality and smaller portions--more suited for a date night than a family meal where value matters. Based on my brother-in-law's recommendation, we decided to try this place instead, and I'm glad we did. From the start, the experience stood out. The food quality was excellent, and the portions were surprisingly generous--something you don't often find at Italian restaurants. They also offer complimentary bread with a choice of soup or salad, which is becoming increasingly rare. Even more impressive, these weren't afterthoughts. The bread was perfectly crusty and served with a flavorful olive oil infused with tomato and garlic. Both the salad and chicken soup were fresh and well-prepared. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. I had the chicken Sorrento with prosciutto and mushrooms over pasta, and it was outstanding--well-balanced, flavorful, and cooked just right. The restaurant itself is clean and nicely designed, creating a comfortable atmosphere without feeling overly formal. Service was quick, and our waitress was friendly and attentive throughout. I don't often give five-star reviews, but this place truly earned it. It delivers on both quality and value, which is a combination that's hard to find.

Numerous tables and booths available for seating, as well as the bar. And outside dining is also an option. Prices & portions seem reasonable. This place appears to get quite busy and also looks to have many regulars. Family-owned- European and Northern Italian influence. We came on a Saturday night, shorty before close, so we were able to get two seats at the bar. Our bartender was extremely attentive throughout our visit. Complementary bread is provided. Comes with a nice oil and garlic blend. Ordered the Bucatini Puttanesca & Spaghetti with Italian Sausage. These come with a dinner salad or up grade to a Caesar for $2 more (which I did). Both salads were fresh and delicious. I will say one of the best caesar dressings I've had. The pasta, presentation was lovely. The flavors bland, tomato sauce (tastes straight from the can) had no additional spices present and the pasta way over cooked. Seems their noodles are pre-cooked and Al Dente then is just not possible. This is another reason why the rating was just below average. Really disappointing. Would not be a place we would revisit.

While being very tender the rings were thick and the breading would not stay on...which contained all the thicker flavor. every time i cut in half the breading would just slip off leaving basic UNFLAVORED rings.... The veal parmigiana contained 2 layers with cheese on the top but also LOTS of breading between the layers giving the impressing of being a thicker piece of veal. I did not appreciate all THAT breading. The wife liked the chicken piccata. What i dislike is the fact that they PREFIGURE the tip starting at 20% and going to 27% based on the amount you pay including the TAX & CREDIT CARD FEE.... it should be only the basic FOOD amount. While the atmosphere is excellent and silverware is spotless , i think next time i will try another place. As this will not be my go to Italian. I don't mind paying their prices, but i don't think the value is there

Hi Everyone, If you…read morelive to eat as many my of my Italian friends do, Villa Romano's succulent fare, will put that curl in your hair. This restaurant was a surprise from our oh so friendly, engaging, interesting and very accomplished Accordion Virtuoso, Mike. To our very enthusiastic, lovely, patient, Server Berkley. To our food which was divine. To the "Old World" Italian environment, kinda like Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, without the human statues that move ever so slightly, but just enough to to make you feel, something is a miss, but what??? Man, that drove me crazy. Also, you want to go here to dine because their competing Restaurants in the area feel having you wait in very long, well over an hour and a half lines, just to get in satisfies their need not to take any reservations. Hun...? Yep, they're fine having Aunt Susie's makeup looking like Mark Shostrom, the Master Makeup Artist from the horror series "A Nightmare on Elm Street" movies, put it on for her. We all know also, because while we tried our best not looking at how Aunt Susie's makeup was contorting her face, it was like trying not to look at a car wreck. I even laid 7-5 odds that her false eyelashes would become a moustache, and won, while we all did exactly that to satisfy my beautatious date's Cousins' from Reno, fish wish, in Myrtle Beach. We stood in the lines outside, in the evening heat, at three different restaurants that we tried. Please remember to bring water, you'll feel better while you wait, wait, wait again, and then really wait, as if Mosses is going to appear from on high with the Ten Commandments. Instead it's, "Your table is ready" as you try to wake Grandma from her heat induced coma. While Villa Romano's bait, is to actually take your reservation and instead, have you relax on your tushy while having a cocktail in their comfortably A/C filled delightful ambience while you relive your day's perspective with friends and Family ("No, you missed it. First he...", ya know), while Mike fills the air with his sweet mellifluous musical notes floating by you for your audio pleasure, much like the feather in Forrest Gump. Their appetisers looked awesome however, this is an "Old World" Italian restaurant that offered their minestrone soup, and their Caesar salad which came with our meals, was very tasty, and paired very well with the bottle of wine from their varied, and well selected wine list, which we all shared. First, I read some of Villa Romania's great reviews on Yelp, before making a reservation, most especially, because I did not want anyone to have to repeat "THE LONG Lines" at our Fried Fish Palace, lol experience from two nights earlier. All of our entrees pictured below, were savoy, aroma enticing, tastebud thrilling, flavor forward, and exceeded all our sensory expectations which helped us all unwind while really enjoying our evening out together as it unexpectedly, evolved into an event for us all. While all their deserts sounded wonderful we were all completely full. But on our next visit, tiramisu, ice cream, and cannolis for all. So it's expensive, right? That is a great question Poindexter, but wrongo, my parsimonious friend. It was again, surprisingly affordable, and "I shall return" as General Douglas MacArthur once said. Why? Because sometimes you just can't find what will work for everyone, and that feels and tastes, just right. That's it! That is Villa Romana Restaurant, and we all were so gleeful and happy we discovered that fact in our visit to Myrtle Beach, SC. Manga... Enjoy!
