I am currently in a dispute with a family member and desperately needed help resolving my matter so i called The Inheritance Recovery Attorneys and spoke with Edward Terzian, he was difficult to talk with because he kept talking over me and wouldn't seem to let me respond, but I tried to be as polite as possible and let him continue on. He did seem to be knowledgeable and said he'd be willing to take my case, i was relieved because I had been searching for decent representation, and i had high hopes for Edward and his firm. He told me to send my documents and that he would have a contract written up within a couple days. I waited about a week and no call or email. I even followed up the following week with an email and still nothing. Not even a courtesy call or email telling me a reason why he couldn't take my case. This is not about the case itself but of the runaround and excuses I got while trying to contest a will. More than a month ago I reached out to mark russakow, who, after a long conversation, said he would call the opposing attorney on my behalf and wrote me an email about the details. I was under no illusion that the case wasn't challenging. After the call I was hopeful something would come of it. He told me I would get a call from his partner Terzian to go over the contract and details of fees. That took almost 2 weeks and some weak excuse why it took so long. Then when I finally got the contract, there were mistakes which I addressed and was told I would be getting the corrected one and, once I signed, they would start negotiating. Another 2 weeks goes by, no contract, no call, and so I wrote an email asking when I should expect something. Nothing. I write the next day directly to mark and finally got a call from Terzian to say they would discuss more about what to do about the case and get back to me. Then I get an email that says they are not interested in the case and are declining to represent me. So it took more than a month to find out they are not interested in my case. I have a window of time that I can challenge and they took a month out of that window only to send an email that they are dropping out. Not even a phone call. Such disrespect can be expected from lawyers but it shouldn't take that long for it. If you want to get the runaround, these flakes are perfect. read more
