What can I say except "perfection"! Yes, The Inn at Elon can be a bit pricey, but for what you pay there is value and it is worth every penny! Located right on campus, The Inn just opened at the beginning of 2020. Although it is brand new, the Inn still feels old and stately, like mansions of the past. With its brick facade, the building maintains the architectural traditions of campus. The interior is swanky without being stuffy. We reserved a suite, which was plenty of room for the four of us. There were two actual rooms with a door separating them (unlike some suites that are one room with a sitting area). There was also a half bath, which was super convenient. The furnishings were elegant, without being too overdone. The linens were crisp, but comfortable. The bathroom was large and luxurious, with upscale bath products. The staff was friendly and gracious. When staying at "the Inn", you almost feel like you want your child to go to Elon, just so you can visit this jewel over and over again!

I've never heard of the Drury Inn & Suites until I had to stay in a small town in Burlington…read more I picked this hotel for the obvious reasons the ratings and the other yelpers reviews had nothing, but great this to say about this place that I had to stay and check it out for myself. The lobby is very clean the staff is professional and friendly. They only sell alcohol until midnight boo!, but it is what it is. They have a small little area where you can purchase food and snacks which is great. I love that they serve complimentary breakfast and dinner... yes! You heard me correctly complimentary dinner as well. Breakfast is the best in my opinion because the selection is so much better. My favorite is the biscuits with or without gravy and I call them ashy biscuits because they are not quite golden just perfect soft, tender and delicious. I'm not sure if they are made in house, but they definitely do taste homemade and absolutely delicious. I wish I had some apple butter with me. They have sausage, eggs and not the powdered mess you can taste the difference, cereals, potatoes O'Brien, Oatmeal, fresh fruit and so much more. You will not leave hungry I promise lol. It's in a great location right off the freeway and there is also nearby shipping etc... FYI.., the parking can be really scarce. Not enough parking at times so try to get in early if you can.

A huge thank you to Sasha and the rest of the front desk team; check-in was seamless, and everyone we encountered was friendly without being intrusive. The lobby is bright and welcoming. Our room was very clean and featured updated furniture, a large LED TV with plenty of content, a reasonable workspace with easy-to-connect WiFi, and individual HVAC controls that made it easy to manage the temperature during the night. The room was also equipped with a small refrigerator as well as a coffee maker with four pods and teabags. The bathroom had plenty of space on the vanity for my personal hygiene items and this hotel has made the transition from providing individual bars of soap and bottles of shampoo/conditioner to refillable wall-mounted dispensers. The Hampton Inn Burlington also offers terrific guest amenities such as a complimentary all-you-can eat breakfast buffet and a small, but well-equipped fitness center. While we didn't have time to hit the complimentary breakfast this trip, it looked great -- with scrambled eggs, sausages, a make-your-own waffle station, yogurt, cold cereals and hot oatmeal, fresh fruit, and coffee -- and the staff does a great job to keep everything topped off and tables clean during the breakfast rush. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Burlington! PRO TIP: No Rules, Just (Turn) Right! The entrance is shared with the Outback Steakhouse on Longpine Road. Keep an eye out for the small sign right past the restaurant to find the hotel's parking lot.

Our room was comfy, we had a great night's sleep, and the breakfast in the morning was decent for a free breakfast. When we got to the Olympics, everyone was complaining about their accommodations nearer to the site being dirty, loud, and generally terrible. So we were happy we made the choice to stay here and if we are back in town for something, we'll likely stay here again.

The room was clean and had the amenities I expected, and there was a breakfast buffet thing in the morning that I was able to grab some fruit from. The front desk staff was not all that informative when it came to surrounding restaurants for dinner. They knew about the chain restaurants next door, but frankly I knew that my final destination was going to be meals of plain-jane Americana and I needed some variety before being subjected to that. Sadly I had to resort to other methods of finding a place to eat rather than recommendations from the staff.

Our plans changed a week prior to our stay, and we cancelled our 1 room-night -- well within the required cancellation timeframe of our contract. The hotel charged us anyway (and didn't even charge us the right amount). After 6 weeks and multiple emails and phone calls later we were still trying to get a refund. At one point they forwarded a refund receipt, however it never appeared on our credit card (guess it was fake). In trying to get this resolved for weeks the manager "Gary" seemed to avoid our calls and didn't respond to emails. One day front-desk staff said he was in the bathroom, 15 minutes later he "was going into a meeting and would be available in one hour" and an hour later he had "left for the day". The front-desk staff (who ere very sympathetic) eventually told us a lot was going on and suggested we escalate to Holiday Inn corporate. Corporate reviewed our contract, confirmed we had cancelled within the appropriate time window, and worked with Burlington to issue a refund. That still took another week, but eventually it worked (8 weeks after the improper charge). Not sure what's going on at Holiday Inn Express Burlington, but buyer beware! Hope the ownership finds some more responsive local management.
