All the way is chili, mustard, onions, and slaw. First, for extra points, the buns were perfectly toasted. Second, the onions were fresh! Too many restaurants are cutting corners by purchasing chopped onions from the food service guys. DON'T DO IT! I can spot 'em a mile away. Just don't do it! These onions were chopped this morning. The slaw is made fresh each morning. It is crisp, and sweet with just the right amount of mayo. The chili was very good. Also made on site everyday. I tried one of each, and while both were good, I enjoyed the red better. Just had more flavor. Also $1 cheaper! Both a tad pricey, but two of us got out for about $16+tip. They do take plastic, but there is a 3% charge. All in all, this is a very good hotdog in a region full of good dogs. These are about 50 minutes from Winston-Salem.

My mom died almost two years ago and I have not had a vacation since before being her caregiver in her last days. I never expected this few days get away to be so exactly what I needed. The owners. So warm and welcoming. They truly make you feel at home. I can't say enough good things about Will and Jennifer. The staff. Omgoodness. They have this sweet lady who cooks, cleans, and anything else you need who has worked there for 18 years. After she takes care of you she goes and gives care to her elderly Mother. I'm convinced she is an angel. Thank you Kathy for everything. The cabins. Private. Clean. You really feel like you step back in time but you don't have to give up your high speed Internet either. They are simply magical. The jacuzzi tub doesn't hurt either. The grounds. Completely perfect. Everything is spaced out but you don't have to travel far to get to the lake or take a hike. Our cabin literally had a view of Pilot mountain. There are grills to cookout. Free canoe, rowboat, and paddle boats. A gorgeous pool and a sauna that is something from the past. In a good way. I have never wanted to give something six stars before, but if I could I would give Pilot Knob Inn atleast that many. I can not wait to return to that little slice of heaven.

Upon checking in to our room we found out that there is no fridge in our room and made a complaint. The moment receptionist said only higher up floors have a mini fridge due to some shortages and group event. I told her that we are apart of the group and I'm in 7th floor out of their 12 floors. The following day I got a chat and I voiced my complaint and I got my mini fridge. It shouldn't be like this - to be a Karen. Plus one of our bed was soaked with moisture, at first thinking my kids spilled some water. But it's the bed was soaked prior to our stay. Had them changed the bed sheets and my wife has to use the hair dryer to get it dry. Plus the lobby has no air conditioning. It seems like some people have the same problem prior.

They assign sites on the day of your arrival based solely on your rig length, and nothing else. Not how long ago you made your reservation (aka FCFS), not based on your amperage requirements. Nothing. Management is aware of our displeasure and have offered to move us if/when a 50 amp site becomes available. Thanks, but I'm not tearing down to move, so no thanks. We are long time TT members and we are very disappointed at how this whole "assigned site" thing is being handled. We'll be fine on the current campsite, but we won't be coming back to this campground
